PoliticsRe: How The North Is Underdeveloping Nigeria by kingzizzy: 10:58pm On Mar 25, 2017
ItsMeAboki:
Another idiotic fallacy.

Northerners are predominantly farmers and majority of that population you spoke of are actively engaged in ensuring national food security that is probably responsible for keeping some of you well fed.

How can those who contribute significantly to the GPD (which essentially is the engine that drives the economy) be considered as dependant and a burden to scarce resources - when they are in fact significant contributors to national GDP (by themselves as a ppl and from what they produce - pls don't start yapping the usual song of oil, because oil contributes less than 15% to the GDP).

BTW, if the northern population is a curse; why then are you guys going to the extremes of breeding yourselves like farm animals in various baby factories and selling your babies for as little as 20K?

Lastly, you ought to know that education isn't everything but natural intelligence is - I need not have to remind you of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Dangote etc; all of them non-graduate billionaires and heads of their own conglomerates employing thousands of supposed educated individuals like yourself.

We are equally aware of so called educated ppl with PhDs from the south like GEJ and his wife Mama Peace and how they constituted a national disgrace and made this country the laughing stock of the international community.
They were not only a disgrace to themselves but also a disgrace to their educational institutions and other holders of the qualifications they allegedly possess - though it is not too difficult to fathom how they might have obtained their certificates.
There is a big problen with what you wrote. Before I get to it, I would like to say that it is incedible to to me as an Igbo man that one Northerner will breed so many many children, example is former VP Atiku Abubakar who married multiple wives and has 30 children. While Atiku is a billiinaire who can afford to take of his responsibilities, not all Northerners who bred as much kids as him are the same.

The North is far more imporverished than the South so who do they expect to cater for this ever increasing brood? The federal Government? With which resources? If their was no Oil money to fund certain things, would these Northerners be engaging in breeding more kids than they can afford?

Nobody is disputing that the North is strong in agriculture. They ensure that food scarcity is kept bay. But what do they really contribute to the federal coffers? How many farmers in the North pay tax from sale of their produce? What is the percentage of tax derived in the entire North (NW,NC,NE) compared to that derived in the South (SW,SE,SS)?

The truth is that the North have been a drain on the South for far too long and that is why they will hate anything about true federalism, resource control or even Biafra.

Unfortunately for the North, no paracitic relationship lasts forever. Eventually, things will have to change in Nigeria because although the South has carried the North for so long (with the tacit support of Yorubas), that is coming to an end

Let me guess, you say: ‘give us Biafra’. Please, the Anambra man does not love the Abia or Imo man. Most of you want to treat Ebonyi people with scorn.
Absolute nonsense. But lets assume that it is true that Anambra does not like Abia or Imo or Imo does not like Ebonyi. Who made it that way? Isnt it Nigeria that divided Igbos into Imo, Anambra etc? Nigeria has caused so much division in Igbo land and thats one of the reasons Biafra will be good, there will be no states in Biafra

PoliticsRe: IPOB, Why Choosing Portharcourt As Your Official Base? by kingzizzy: 10:32am On Mar 24, 2017
Ugomba:
Old Eastern region is gone, Phillip Effiong being Ojukwu no.2 means nothing.
Stop living in delusion, Did Rivers state government asked you ipobs to change the name of portharcourt?
The minorities are not asking for Refrendum and NO REFRENDUM will take place on their land.
Philip Effiong being no 2 man and the last President of Biafra means everything because it is a clear indication that Biafra has never been about Igbos only.

What is Rivers state? What is Old Eastern Region? What is Nigeria? All these are mere geographical names that Soldiers, starting from Lugard, imposed on us all to steal our natural wealth. Biafra remains the only country that was created by the mandate of the people because Ojukwu asked the Eastern Nigeria consultative assembly , the representatives of the people, for the permission to declare Biafra and they gave it to him.

What do you mean the minorities are not asking for referendum? You think NDA, MEND, NDVF and the rest of them sprang up because of the love of 'one Nigeria'?

An Ijaw woman called Mrs Ankio Briggs is spearheading referendun under the lower Niger congress

Former militant Asari Dokubo not only called Radio Biafra and confirmed he is a Biafran, he has consistently called for referendum. The minorities already know they will not get resource control in Nigeria. If the majorities like Yoruba and Igbos havent got it, what magic will they do?

Dont speak for the minorities or for anyone outside your ethnic group. We can all speak for our selves when referendum comes
PoliticsRe: IPOB, Why Choosing Portharcourt As Your Official Base? by kingzizzy: 7:48am On Mar 24, 2017
Ugomba:
I am currently in portharcourt for a conference and the news of IPOB declaring portharcourt as their official base is circulating.
why are ipobs bringing embarrasment to Igbos?
I overheard that many kalabaris, okrikas, ikwerre, ogonis etc want to protest against it.
As a Delta-Ibo, truth be told, I can see why some of my anioma brethrens deny being Igbo.
You need to see the insult being throwed at Igbos just because of ipob activity in portharcourt.
Rivers state governor is NOT a Biafra supporter, why constituting nuisance in his state?
IPOB has changed Portharcourt name to Igweocha, how do you expect the minorities like Ogoni to feel, atleast Portharcourt is all they have to call their city by virtue of being Rivers indigene.
why are ipobs behaving this way?
This declaration of Portharcourt as IPOB Official base is wrong and should be condemned.
Move it to any south east city and avoid unnecessary misunderstanding.
Thanks.
..
This is useless ranting. The original name of Portharcourt is "Igu-Ocha" which many now write as "Igwe-Ocha" although both words are pronounced the same. What is wrong in people using the original name of the land? Is 'Portharcourt' an African name?

As for those who are angry about IPOB making Igweocha their base, whats wrong with that? Igweocha or Portharcourt used to be in the Republic of Biafra anyway.

Biafra has never been just about just Igbos. The last president of Biafra, General Philip Effiong, was not Igbo.

The name 'Biafra' was suggested as the name of the breakaway Republic by Frank Opigo, and Ijaw man and former Headmaster of Okrika Grammar School.

I do not expect all the minorities to like the issue of Biafra but I expect them to support a referendum where everyone can choose their future.

Thank you oniovo me!

Whew! The bottom line is this: Biafra is an Igbo dream and should remain so if it is to ever have the chance of being a reality in the very distant future.
I usually ask those who say Biafra is an Igbo affair one question. Who was the last president of The Republic Of Biafra? Its was General Philip Effiong. How can Biafra be an Igbo affair when its last president was not even an Igbo man?

Biafra is more about the people of the lower Niger, Efik, Ibibio, Ogoja, Igbo etc who are tired of Nigeria.

Thats why a referendum will be held to give everyone a chance to decide their future. In the referendum, only those who vote by a majority in their area will go while those who vote to continue with Nigeria or abstain will then continue with it. So on the day of the referendum, those of you who love Nigeria dont even need to come out.

So what is the big deal in this Biafran issue some of you dont understand? Lugard didnt give anyone referendum before making them Nigerians

no problem, 90% of IPOBs may be Igbos but 90% of Igbos are NOT Ipobs.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo is our mouthpiece, and they are not in any seccession campaign.
IPOB is the brainchild of one man who won converts by the exploitation of their emotional mentality.
They detest opposition views, their leader nnamdi kanu own is supreme to them.
Ipobs knows the civil war controversies in port harcourt history, why are they flaming up such controversies again?
Why not Enugu
Why not Owerri
Why not Awka
Why not Onitsha etc
why Portharcourt?
Hmmmmmm. Nigeria was the brain child of one man, Frederick Lugard. Lugard didnt even bother trying to win converts, his gun did the converting for him. Today, you probably accept that name.

Enugu
Owerri
Awka
Onitsha
Portharcourt

All have one thing in common. They used to be in the old Eastern Region that later became Biafra. Portharcourt being part of Biafra is not a new thing

Why would Kanu who is in jiail choose to write a public letter through facebook? Even if he was going to do this, why not through his own Facebook page? Even if for any reason, Kanu decided to use a secondary source, why would it be through an unknown source such as Ifeanyi Chijioke? Why not through a trusted source such as his deputy, Uche Mefor? Or Barrister Mmezu?

If Kanu was going to take the pains to write Trump an open letter, he would not do it this way

They are angry at Kanu for challenging the unity of their messed up country where nothing works?

PoliticsRe: The Tragedy Of One Nigeria by kingzizzy: 7:21am On Mar 23, 2017
One of the good things about the Biafran agitation is that there is nobody who is fooling him or her self that 'one Nigeria' exists.

5 years ago, If anyone had mentioned Biafra, some misguided people who call themselves patriotic Nigerians would have called for the persons execution for daring to question the unity of Nigeria

Today, less and less Nigerians live in denial about Nigerian unity. Even the owner of this site once went on a mission to ban everything Biafra, he too soon realised that self determination is a right.

Nigeria is a colonial contraption, the enforced union of indigenous Africans by the British. I laugh as an Igbo man when a Hausa man is saying he is 'one Nigeria' with me. How? What does the average Hausa man know about Igbos or Igboland? Do we share any commonalities or value system? So how are we 'one Nigeria'?

Nigeria is simply a 103 year old colonial fraud that cannot stand. If it is from this fraud that anyone is hoping to get a country, not possible.

Only a referendum will save the situation or we carry on with the fraud living in hope it will save us, it wont

Hajiat Latifat Ademulegun(a pregnant woman) was killed by the ibos

Festus Okotie Eboh was killed by the ibos.

Samuel Ladoke Akintola was killed by the ibos

The bloodsucking ibo coupist killed political and military leaders from other regions while sparing theirs. The ibos are guilty of the first coup in Nigeria, they terminated our nasceant democracy, ushered in military rule, abolished regionalism, foisted the unitary system on us and also led us into a bloody civil war
Was that before or after the Jos and Kano massacres?

There is no ancient kingdom of Biafra. Keep listening to the lies they dish to u at Radio Biafra. Maybe u should browse the Internet to research things for yourself. Google whether there was anything like kingdom of Biafra
Cure your ignorance. Below is an ancient navigators map of Africa that anyone can find on the internet. In the highlighted box shows the Ancient kingdom of Biafra which comrised of Southern Cameroon, and much what is now called SS/SE. The Kindom of Biafra stopped just roughly where the Benin empire began.

Biafra existed long before there was anything called Nigeria

If I were an Igbo from SS, I would feel that Ohanaeze Ndiigbo is only interested in SE and rightly so!

Ohanaeze should learn to use less of SE and talk more of Igboland, they should learn to stop being parochial and narrow minded and become more encompassing, let's learn to carry everyone along and give everyone equal stake in Igboland irrespective of the geopolitical zone the Igbo speaking persons or group might be from.

Ndiigbo need a Sixth state, it mustn't be created from SE, it can be created from parts of Igboland outside SE and maybe joined to SE.

Good initiative by the way. They should not only capture the data of those outside Nigeria, they should also do that of those of us in Nigeria.
I agree. This 'SE' talk has to stop by ohaneze.

That's a colonial name u people are proudly shouting. Illiterate
Lies from top to bottom! Biafra is named after the ancient Kindom of Biafra which once existed as far back as 500 BC and controlled much of what is now called SS/SE as well as the Southern Cameroons. Ancient navigators called the seashore around this kingdom 'The bight of Biafra'. Biafra is the name of ancient Africans unlike Nigeria that is named after a common River.

Ojukwu was given the mandate to declare Biafra by the Eastern Nigeria consultative forum. Nobody has ever given any mandate for the creation of Nigeria which is why Nigeria will always be far more illegal than Biafra.

Coward General? At least he fought for 3 years to free his people. The rest of you who had no backbone to fight simply said "please dont kill us, we pledge to be loyal slaves of Lord Lugard for life"

How can Igbo students be pledging allegiance to Buhari? Are they doing this because Buhari is loved in Igboland or are they doing it because of the recession he brought? An Igbo student already knows that politicians cannot be trusted, so why pledge allegiance to the same politician if there was no monetary inducement?

An Igbo student who doesnt like Biafra would be pledging allegiance to Nigeria, not to APC or Buhari.

Not even one person in the crowd is holding a Nigerian flag to express their love of Nigeria.

103 years later, many are still answering the name of a River. From time to time, some men come forward to tell those gripped by colonial slavery that it should not be like this, men like Ojukwu and Kanu. They get shouted on for not accepting slavery mentality.
