Politics › Re: Is It True 95% Of Bb Fans In The North Are Not Registered? by KnowAll(op): 2:32pm On Apr 13, 2011
Where did you get this notion from that they are not registered. Registration of voters was way before campaign started. The idea of BB team were overwhelmed by the amount of people trooping out for campaigns is false because registration was about 2 months before campaign even started at all.
Shield your sword; we should all have a conciliatory tone to the elections on Saturday. It is not a do or die first and foremost. As long as there are no blatant ballot snatching and disruptions, we should be able to accept the wish of the people come Saturday.

1. Buhari within the last 48 hours has gone to bed with some fellows Nigerians hate with a passion, IBB, Atiku and greedy Ciroma.

2.

The Cabal works with the BB Team, Aleiro, Taminu, Turai, I am sure Aoddoooke is lying low somewhere ready to join his former motly crew. I knew these facts b4 the Assembly election, I felt very uncomfortable with the thought. I can imagine the torment Bakare is going through having to sit with these callous men strategizing for Buhari. If I may ask you what was all the SNG all about then if 6 months down the line you would be sharing hotel rooms and meetings with men who held the country to ransome.

3.

The Meroline thing is a retrogressive move by Buhari, it is  indefencible. Cairo started her Metro with Lagos at the same time, today they are enjoying this facility.

4.

Buhari is one man, one honest man cannot make a forest. With all those bad eggs hanging around him is no good.

As far as I am concerened I would not lose sleep over Saturday’s election except if there was a complete break-down in the electoral process, and I would expect a lot of Nigerians to have similar views too.
Politics › Re: Buhari Is A Goner by KnowAll(op): 2:17pm On Apr 13, 2011
This is one election I would sleep like a baby which ever way the result it goes. Jo-Boy is no OBJ thank God for that, Buhari is not bad, and Ribadu has fire in his belly which ever way it goes Nigeria should be having a double digit growth during next 4 years except if Jo-boy really dissappoints big time which I doubt. undecided
Politics › Is It True 95% Of Bb Fans In The North Are Not Registered? by KnowAll(op): 2:09pm On Apr 13, 2011
Someone told me that most of Buhari fans in the North are the lower classes and illiterates. He said the CPC high echelon instead of mobilising the populace to register to vote, where overwhelmed by the attention and awe the General was held by the general populace. Buhari coming to some backwaters during the campaign trail was seen as a jamboree,  some sort of welcoming home procession of a hero, whom many have heard off but have never seen before, therby missing the salient and stark reality that it is votes that would count on any election day and not encomiums and Yuletide.

The key to winning any election is getting your self registered otherwise your chances of winning are as good as a day dreamer who think he would win the lottery without actually buying a ticket for the lottery. If you do not purchase a ticket for the lottery you have a very fat chance of winning.

What is the point of General Buhari having thousands of supporters when only a few hundred of these multitude bother to register,  when compared to the vigour the elites of the North put in making sure their wards register and at the same time doubling making sure each  man and woman in their house-hold mobilise their extended family on behalf of “Megida”,

By house-hold we are talking of “all Megida’s hanger’s on” from the driver to the cook to the gardener, with their wives and children and other next of kin. These people who feed on the crumbs that fall off “Megida’s” table in some states run into millions. " Ranka dede is one of those enslaving routines observed with a passion in the North",  We must not lose sight Northern Nigeria is a well entrenched feudal land where the rich take care of every needs of the down and trodden.

Do you people remember the Ibadan strong man “ Adedibu”, the North has enough Adedibus and which ever way these Adedibus turn to, so does their followers in unison.  “ Megida’s” house is the centre of their own existence,  they eat their 3 square meals in such places, they gossip in such places and these feudal lords actually holds the keys to political power in the North not the Ciroma’s, the Gusau’s, and the Atiku’s of this world.

Going by this theory would it not be conceivable that the voting patterns come this Saturday would mirror this stark realities, in any case if we have something narrowly reminiscent to the above it suffices it to mean without doubt that the eventual results should not and would not surprise anyone.
Politics › Buhari Is A Goner by KnowAll(op): 12:16pm On Apr 13, 2011
The Sultan of Sokoto is against his candidacy, so are the Shagari clan and the Sokoto Elites. Lagosians and most Yoruba’s are crazy about the cancellation of the Metroline in 1983 by Buhari’s regime that would not help him,  and it is a fact that the  alternative party if not the main party in all Southern and Middle Belt states is PDP not talking of the alternative party even in CPC’s backyard and strong hold. Let us use our common sense here.

I use to be a BB supporter but after last weekend’s election, I have cooled my temper and posture, I would sit on the fence knowing all 3 men would be great for Nigeria.

Jonathan has proven he is not OBJ’s lackey hence the loss of Bankole and Iyabo, I would also expect him not to give Iyabo any Ministerial post if there are better and more qualified Nigerians that can do the job.

Jonathan  has proven that a semblance of a free and fair election is possible although we are not 100% happy with the efforts of last Saturday, we know it is a dramatic improvement on previous elections, I would personally rate it about 55% overall with a better % levels is some zones than others.

If the Presidential elections was the first elections held, without a shadow of doubt, Team BB would have done some damage but as it stands today,  PDP I am afraid would carry the day. BB's teeming fans need to take heart and solace, it is not a do or die after all and none of the Presidential Candidate want and wish to end up like “Gbago”

was about to sat thzt as well. the BB train is slowly grounding to a halt. i personnaly feel disappointed that cpc cant hack in the north as such.
we await the resurgent./death of sai BB politica ambition this sat.
there will be no prisoner come wkend.
If CPC cannot do their home work in the North, then it is nobody's fault if they lose. ACN has done the business in the SW, but the PDP would not let Benue and Akwa Ibom be two ACN strongholds that limits what ACN can acheive. Adamawa Ribadu's home state seem to be a no go area for ACN so also is Kogi and Kwara states. The ACN should have gotten in roads into these state but for some reason PDP are holding on steadfastly whether through rigging or other means the end game and the reality is PDP is too wide spread not to win a presidential election.

Politics › 36 Years In Public Service And Not A Single Blemish On Buhari’s Integrity by KnowAll(op): 2:48pm On Apr 11, 2011
This is one of Buhari’s strong point. As we approach elections on Saturday we must bear in mind this gentleman first came to lime light by virtue of being the Governor North Eastern State in 1975. Since then till date not one single allegation can be pinned unto him.

We have seen scallywags and hooligans who have being in power for barely 12 months who are about to break into the un-official rich list. Such brigands must be voted out at the earliest opportunity.

Need I say more, it is no more news that barely six months at the helms of affairs of Bayelsa State, Messers Jonathan’s Misses, his one and only loyal wife in no other person than the indefatigable Patience Jonathan brought more than a modest shame and calumny to that name when an aide of the Governror’s wife was caught at Murtala Mohammed Airport trying to launder money overseas.

The file of the case cannot be found neither the officials involved in the initial investigation are ready to verify anything they are all in self denial of what transpired, whether it was a true story or a false story, this stain on the GEJ name smacks of desperation by a first lady who was not sure how long her husband’s mandate would have lasted, considering her predecessor was kicked out b4 his time was over hence the senseless and mind boggling grabbing of state funds at the early stage of this couples political beginnings.

Compare that shoddy start to public life to Buhari’s exemplary 36 years in public life and not one misdemeanour, to his name, I think Buhari is more of a trusted hand to keep our foreign reserve in check than the Jonathan’s can ever be.

I would vote with my senses and my conscience intact rather than been swayed by the loyalty of same religion , region or area.

BB can still do it, Vote for CPC for the Presidency.

peace.

Lagos is the most vociferous place in Nigeria. It is the centre of commerce, of media houses, of the internet and of propaganda. GEJ by allowing a free and fair ellection to take place in this zone therby denying other zones this previledge and largesse seems to have worked wonders and magic amongst SW BB Sympathersiers who now see GEJ as a messaih whom one good turn deserves.

Is this a bribe to the SW to make amends for the President's Gaffs in which he refered to SW Politicians as A BUNCH of rascals

@knowitall,
Have started rigging cos your calculation is above Registered voter list in bayelsa
Bayelsa is about 700,000+, what i put up there is just an example of how pdp rigs without you and I knowing - overt inflational figures where they are strong and a neck to neck figures where they are weak.

So any place you do not win must have been rigged? Could it be that the areas you won were also rigged
Anywhere u don't win and are still running neck to neck with the winner is as good as a win. Going by Saturday's election GEJ would easily pick up 6 million votes in the whole of the SW. That is enough vote to give him the presidency.
Politics › Re: Was Buhari Deliberately Given A Bloody Nose In Sokoto by KnowAll(op): 11:44am On Apr 11, 2011
With due respect sir, that is dangerous crap. ALL ward results were declared to voters right there and then, they are known and can be tallied.
It is best to lose gallantly, instead of starting up ridiculous rumours as if the audience is made up of cretins.

Even Obj has taken his demotion on the chin like a man, same as Bankole; so why can't you
You and I know the scores. This is how the game is played. As the years goes by,  the PDP have become an expert at massaging final tallies without overtly doing them so as to raise suspicion. It is mostly done in PDP strongholds where rediculosly high figures would be accreditcted to their party and a neck to neck tie registered in opposition strong holds. I saw it played out with without a care in the world during the Delta State re-run.

Can you imagine a result like this

PDP -600,000 in Bayelsa, CPC 45,000

and

PDP-550,000 IN sOKOTO and CPC 575,000 IN SOKOTO.

The first result have created a defecit of 550,000 on behalf of CPC why the second result see CPC reduce the deficit by 20,000 thereby still giving PDP an advantage of having  530,000 votes that CPC needs to overturn.
Politics › Re: Was Buhari Deliberately Given A Bloody Nose In Sokoto by KnowAll(op): 11:19am On Apr 11, 2011
CPC trounced PDP in Babangida Aliyu's Niger too
I would like to commend the bravado attitude OF some BB fans and I share their optimism but I think at this junction it is high time to throw-in the towel rather than fight a senseless and un-winnable battle. PDP had it all planned, they would give up SW, but would fight and keep Benue, Akwa Ibom and the SE come what may, of course with overtly inflated figures that would run any challenger out of town. We are all witness to the Madame Dora and Ngige’s electoral fraud played out to the gallery, “ this one no be dem say” we all heard from the horses mouth “ the Resident Electoral Officer”.

How come the SW results where the first results to be released? And those of the SE, Benue, and Akwa Ibom came out late after serious and proper massaging of the figures.

To rig an election is a very complicated and elaborate process whereby the number of registered voters must match or tally the number of votes cast which in most cases it is either equal- to the number of registered voters OR less than the number of registered votes.

From a natural and common-sensical point of view not all registered voters would make it to the polling booth, if happenings in other climes are to be used as a yard stick, the number of votes cast is almost always lower than registered voters but in Nigeria, I can bet my last kobo it would be a different story, it would be equal if not more if the collation officers lose their marbles and forgot to take this salient point into reckoning, this is a misnomer, an abberation, if  I am allowed to use those words.

All these facts have to be taken into consideration when the final collations are gathered hence why results which are delayed should be viewed with suspicion. Justice delayed is Justice denied.

In most cases the number of votes cast might be half the number of the registered voters thereby giving room for unscrupulous officials to give that short fall to a favoured party or a candidate who has greased palms especially in remote areas.

el-rufai is alleging the same on his Twitter page. Unfortunately, a lot of Nigerians are buying into this nonsense about GEJ conducting a free and fair election. I will wait for the full picture before I praise any election. Seems PDP lost in areas were they cannot rig without risking a "revolution" SW and NW
You are talking. You don't rig election in a place you have no influence. OBJ rigged election on his behalf and yardua's behalf in 2003 and 2007 but JEG cannot try that because he does not come from the SW. But look at Akwa Ibom and Benue I can bet my last Dollar those results were rigged together with Imo and Abia state.
Politics › Re: Was Buhari Deliberately Given A Bloody Nose In Sokoto by KnowAll(op): 9:41am On Apr 11, 2011
I believe most CPC fans in the SW would now rally round Ribadu rather than vote Buhari. Buhari has failed to gain grassroot support in the NW and NE as touted. Getting the presidency would be a straight North v South ISSUE, not forgeting that Jo-boy is very strong in the middle belt as seen by the results from Plateau, Benue, Kogi, Kwara states and probably Taraba.

With Buhari losing all seats in Sokoto state, it would appear the indigenes of d state has not forgiven him for pre-maturely terminating Shagari's regime. It was pay back time albeit  through d ballot box and what a tsunami it was. This singular defeat and those of Kano & Borno state has made d prospect of this straight  talking deciplinarian winning d presidential election an herculian task. Even the very islamic Zamfara state where d famous Senator is bent on following d tenents of d Koran to d letter. Senator Sherima has being quoted & insisted that Mohammed had a 9 year old bride and what was the forera about him marrying a 13 year old bride.

This Islamic fundamentalist despite having a common denominator with Buhari's perceived fundamental credentials one would have thought those two would be and should have a marriage made in heaven but Saturday's poll prove us wrong yet again. I just hope this result is a blip on BB's imminent take-over of the Northern states. But if what happened on Saturday where to repeat herself then it would be safe to say and assume that Jo-boy has won this contest without a doubt, I hope team BB are still reserving their heavy weapons for the more formidable battle next Saturday.

The downside to this poor show by CPC is d scales of delusion might start falling off SW BB fan's who would once again switch sides supporting & forgiving Tinubu for imposing his wife on d people. After all SWestern's and most people loves winners no one wants to be associated with failures. I just hope the BB bubble has not burst in d SW.   undecided huh

In that house-hold, Madame Akunyuli should give us a more plausible reason why she left PDP and not that crap peddled in d press. To prove my point if she fails in  her senatorial bid & Joboy wins she would be back in familiar surroundings I hope Nigerians would be man enough to remind her d reason why she left d Goverment.

I believe most of the voters on this thread are not adhering to simple disciptive & self explanatory poll radio bottoms at the top of d thread. One thing has been established thus "Ribadu " has been overwhealmed by both GEJ & Buhari in Lagos. People have smelt d coffee in Lagos, I look forward to the defeat of Madame Tinubu with Glee. grin

Nigerians have a right to change the course of her destination within the next 2 weeks. Voting Jonathan is just like voting OBJ, patronage politics, do you ever wonder why most of these politicians despite the gross miss-management and theft perpetuated by them they are still hungry for office.

One would have thought they have made enough money that would last them a life time but alas the money embezzled in most cases is used to facilitate and plant stooges all over the polity. These stooges and puppets would now act as a conduit where state funds would be drained.

Nigeria’s have a right within the next two weeks to vote out these people running the nation as if money has gone out of fashion. They should vote people who are interested in the welfare of Nigerians and not people who are only interested on where and how they can get their filthy hands on the next $10 million dollars to play with, without any recourse to anyone.

Highligts to look out for:

3rd term results and steps taking afterwards,

The invitation of Yaradua into Aso Rock initiating him on his new role,

and the Covert meetings with Governors of the South-South, one of them would end up being Yaradua' s VP.

Still a lot twist and turns.

The PA and BG were ushered into the large living room which was one of the President Quarters, there were a few people sitting in that vast sitting room. When OBJ saw BG he stood up and said let us go into to a smaller sitting room, my private study, there too many people here.

OBJ: Oh !! who do we have here, Lagos BOY himself,”  logun leko” ( the Lagos Warrior), let us go inside,

BG: Emi ni yen sir, (there are no duplicates of me, it is me you are seeing b4 you sir), Mr President “eku igbadun”

They all went into the inner sanctuary out of sight of prying eyes and out of reach of any eaves droppers, they settled in the President’s study, BG going straight to the mini bar in the far corner of the modestly furnish study helping himself to one of his favourite liquor, the President sitting in one of the smaller two person’s setees with his PA sitting to the left of him.

OBJ: BG come over let us talk business, I have not got all night,

BG: Oh sorry sir, you told me anytime I am here the last time I came here that I should help myself to the drinks so that is what I am doing,  I don’t want to disturb you or anyone.

OBJ: Would it take you a whole year to just pour a drink, you know I have been busy all day and I need to sleep early tonight.

BG finished mixing the cocktail and settled on the other set of setee opposite the President,

BG: Look at silly me sir, I forgot to mix one for you,

OBJ: oh no, no, You know I am not that young anymore, I go softly on those things, have you forgotten I am in my 70’s now.

BG: Only just enquiring sir, I don’t want to come across as someone lacking courtesy sir,

OBJ: talking of courtesy, what happened to those people’s Generator, I was not informed b4 you and boys went haywire in the port. You boys seem to be a law unto yourselves. There is no communication or feedback of what the hell is going on in the ports, I know I gave you a target to raise N500 billion Naira, a war chest we would use to fight the elections but some decorum from you boys would have been appreciated. In fact I want a running commentary of what is going in the ports from now.

BG: Well the way we planned it b4 is better sir, you have given us a figure, our job is to get to that figure and the rest is ours as you promise us. That is what we are working on. A running commentary can be exposed to leakages in the chain of command between the Ports and Aso Rock. If the wrong person picks up our communication lines that could spell doom and mayhem for all of us. That is why the original plan is the best, that way nobody would link the Presidency with whatever is going on in the ports.

OBJ: I get your point, but those Generators where for a project that is dear to my mind, I want that project to take off immediately only to be told the generators cannot be found.

BG:  When you gave us the go ahead to look for N500 billion, those boys at the port are like hungry hyenas, they impound anything they see, levelling high demurrage on goods that are barely 24 hours in the port. Most the Igbo traders are complaining, I have told them to take it easy and not to make pains for genuine traders as that can back fire.

OBJ: But I told the levies should be imposed on FG consignment at least those ones we can cover our tracks, not state governments or private citizens.

BG: Mr PA, look at your President, he want us to do FG goods in the port yet he is summoning me to Abuja for carrying out a “ qualified legitimate impounding” . Mr President you want us to kill someone but you want us to kill him/her cleanly. Don’t worry how we kill the person whether clean or dirty the end result is death and we “ Emi Bode George we  would deliver”.

OBJ: Lagos BOY!! Mo ti e jeri eh ( I trust you),

BG: You know sir “ ko si nka toun bo loke ti ile o gba”  ( there is nothing coming or falling from the sky that the ground cannot take);

OBJ: Lagos boy father, You are one rough neck;

BG: We have a duty to perform sir, your will is my command, you know sir I am there for you anytime.

Obj: it is good to know one has soldiers who are ready to go down for one, it gives one a gratifying assurance, you are a true worthy soldier.

BG: No problem sir, you leave us to do our job, that target would be met b4 long.

OBJ: I think on this note I better take my leave, when are you going back to Lagos,

BG: Nobody knows I am in Town, I would be out by first Light.

They all stood up and went there different ways, BG left through a back entrance whilst OBJ went into the large sitting room and entertain his remaining guest.

Aso Rock, Bode arrived at the villa, was met at the villa by OBJ’s trusted aide, who took him to the waiting area, Bode was surprise there was so many people around even at that time of the night.

Bode: Do you people work 24 hours a day, why are there so many people around.

PA: You know Baba always like a lot people around at every time of the day.

Bode: I hope I would not have to wait for a long time to see him sha,

PA: AH No, you are doing a special assignment for the commander-in chief and I am sure you would get an express service the moment he knows you around.

A lot of greetings and pleasantries from several people around, Mr Bode George a man who has an eye for women, made a complimentary comment about a nice young woman who knelt down on her knees greeting him with gusto,  as if they knew each other for a long time. BG asked who the woman was in a hush but quite voice out of ear shot of the people milling around, the PA answered in an equally quieter voice that she is a member of the family.

BG: Who is that woman, "omolu abi  ni" ( “ a child born and brought up well”)

PA: Oh, that is Mojisola, baba’s daughter-in law, Gbenga’s wife,

BG: Oh this is the woman that they are spreading rumours about,

PA: Don’t mind those detractors sir,

BG: But "omo yi o bad oh",(this woman is not bad)  I don’t blame baba if there is any truth in the story, any man who cannot rein in on his wife is not fit to be a man. After all  Baba is widow,” ko si nko to bad nbe”(“ there is nothing bad in it”)  if a young blood like this is throwing herself at you, “ body no be wood”

PA: Haba sir, I can see why baba calls you “ Lagos Boy”  anything goes,

BG: ” Awa o gba gbere leko” ( we don’t take nonsense in lagos)

The buzzer rang BG and the PA stood up ushered in by one of the staff in Aso rock,

OBJ sighs as his confidant and fixer came into his office to share some of his inner feelings and thoughts with him.

PA: Baba , e kala oh( means  are u are so Dearing)

OBJ: what are you talking about,

PA: I mean the way that contract grew wings from a humble $3billion dollars to $12 billion,

OBJ: You are a witness to what is happening, can you imagine not one kobo of the whole amount would go into my pocket. It is all facilitators fund to make things happen. But when some silly  government takes over they would say we stole $16 Billion dollars. That is why we want  one of “ Tiwa”  “our own", "a trusted hand” in there.

PA: You think that Yaradua of a man can be trusted. I have worked with his brother in the past and he was a good man. From the feelers I got from the EFCC he seems to be fair in his dealings, although a security report I got from the SS, It would appear he spends more time sedated in a hospital in Germany than than being on the ground in Katsina. That might open an avenue for us to plant one of the south-south Governors as his deputy.

PA: “Ebora owu”  the invisible hand of Owu,( Owu being a town in Ogun state where OBJ came from) Sir, I never thought of it from that angle.

OBJ: All areas are covered; Plan A third term agenda, if it fails Plan B kicks in immediately.

PA: In fact sir, Nigerians should give u 10 terms if they only know how ingenious you are, In fact you the authenthic Maradona, not IBB.

OBJ, laughs heartly , and asked his PA to get Bode Goerge on the phone.
