How else can someone prove relationship? What was the wording of the denial letter? It seems a bit of a stretch she was denied even with all that evidence. |

They flogged the entire class, only one child died. Obviously there was something else wrong with the child that the "trauma" from the flogging exacerbated. I feel for the parents though, it's quite a sad state, but in all honesty, even the parents will admit just flogging didn't cause his death. A competent autopsy will probably identify the root cause. |

With all the info you've given, then it's best you remain in Nigeria, because it'd take a number of years to get that big boy lifestyle you're enjoying in Nigeria abroad. If you're going with 4kids, the cost of child care is going to be significantly higher that whatever it is you're paying in Nigeria at present. Yes, though the student route is easiest, not all translate to permanent residency after school, so that level of uncertainty is there. You must open your mind to the possibility of packing sh*t, mopping floors, and doing other manual labour, you wouldn't have a choice anyways, esp with 4kids, moreso, with your limited number of work hours as a student, things will be initially rough, and madam will need to hustle too to balance the equation. If you're ready to bend and endure the temporary pains though, there may be light at the end of the tunnel. PS: Before they deceive you that they're earning 2Million in a month, ask them what their tax, rent and insurance etc is first. |

I think ill just explore the Monese credit builder in the meantime when I am sure I can handle it If you're eligible for Paypal credit, I'd say start with that. It has a relatively lower bar for entry, and you can spread purchases above £99 over 4months which gives you a little bit of security. |

justwise: Your post may not be popular with some people but you are making an important point, it’s not free money, if not managed with care it will destroy your life. Years ago a friend on student visa took one with just £2000 balance, she failed to repay the amount spent because she lost the part time job, then the interest grew out of control, bank sent debt recovery agency after her, for years she moved from one address to another, from one city to another. Has to do under table jobs because any money that goes into her account will be taken by the bank. This went on for years, I really don’t know how she got out of it. The euphoria that comes with being given credit . It's very enticing because unlike debits, where you see money leaving your account, you don't feel it so much because it was never yours, to begin with until it's time to pay it back. Students with unstable jobs have to be really careful sha. |

How much is the passport renewal itself please? giselle237: no priority needed. A friend got his in 1 week from the day of biometrics in March. Fill the form in time inorder to get a close appointment date. Hold on, If you dnt have NIN, it pushes one back by at least 2- 3 weeks because NIN is now compulsory. 40p for adults and 30p for kids. Book a nin appointment as soon as possible |

Be like na to close am open another account now seff. Don't close the account. Dig into it or reach out to them to change the address. I did something similar a few years ago, but can't remember the process, though I remember it was unnecessarily complicated. I think they'd request for proof of address to change it. Email support. |

Adazeal: Good afternoon FAM.
I was wondering why some professions in the US pay better than here in the UK even with people having similar profiles. I've read about several young people earning upto $500k in the US and rarely read of such things happening here.
This has made me to bring forth this here for discussion, perhaps one or two persons might have heard of people earning such amount. Please, which profession or career do people get to earn this much here in the UK? Please, our ogas and madams enlighten us that's just been here not too long ago so we can position ourselves towards attaining such heights. Because the government will like to keep you just above the poverty line lol. That said, where did you see young people earning $500k in the US? |
Education › Re: Chrisland Breaks Silence On Sex Scandal, 5 Pupils Misbehaved In Dubai by kode12: 6:37am On Apr 19, 2022 |
emperor863: This episode is a big scandal that the school should not be allowed to wriggle out of. How can a school of such calibre (or any school for that matter) allow such underage children to cohabit to the extent that they were able to engage in sexual activities and even recorded it on their phones. Is it normal for boarded students to have access to mobile phones? What a big shame.
The parents of all the children should bury their heads in shame because ordinarily, at that age (of ten years) the children should not even develop an urge for sex. Only God knows what type of moral and home training some people give to their children. That girl obviously was not having sex for the first time.
The parents should be brought to book on this because the law can do virtually nothing to these children on account of their respective ages.
Lastly, this should be a reflection of what the society really is. If this has happened, it means it can happen (or is also happening) in hundred of other cases in the country - especially among the upper crust of the society where a lot of scandals abound. Whether we like to believe or not, similar thing is happening in boarding schools all over the country.
May God heal our land and cleanse it of all satanic influence. Did you bother to read the write up? Girls were on the 11th floor and boys on the 4th. With that much separation of the sexes what else could the school reasonably have done? Lock in each batch in their rooms? Put a chaperone to sleep in each room? The best thing the school could've done is separate them, which they claimed to have done, but there's no stopping kids hell bent on doing some thing bad, they'll always find a way. Anyone who had the misfortune of encountering the video would see the girl was brazen having sex in a room filled with other boys, so obviously she came to their room, a child that's that confident is already near-pro, so this wouldn't be a first. We can all react emotionally and point fingers at the school, but if all students were adequately separated we have to admit there wasn't much more they could realistically do. The parents have a fair share of blame as well. At the end of the day, like it's said in the hood, pikin wey go spoil, go spoil, Regardless of what everyone else does. |
