ProgrammingRe: Java Vs PHP: Which Has The Brightest Future? by kodewrita(m): 1:43pm On Sep 06, 2011

Really? Have u heard of asp.net ?

Have u heard of
1. WPF
2. WCF or WCF RIA
3. WF
4. Entity Framework / NHibernate /ActiveRecord / Ado.net /Microsoft Enterprise Library 5
5. Silverlight / Microsoft Enterprise Library For Silverlight
6. LightSwitch
8. CLSA Framework / Prism 4
9. Dependency Injection /Ninjet /Castle Winsor/Unity Framework
10. Asp.net MVC 3
11 .LINQ
12 .PLINQ
SO this alphabet soup automatically makes it better than PHP?

They are meant for different environments. lets just leave it at that.

If you want simplicity itself and you are not willing to invest in a python or ruby coder, PHP is your best bet. Not some microsoft tech that you have to code with a reference manual (well , to tell the truth, sometimes in PHP too but not as bad).

Muhammadu Uwais supports Muhammadu Buhari and thinks he's honest. Is this really surprising in any way?
not at all.

But the sickening thing for me is the extent to which top nigerian functionaries and businessmen chatter away to the americans. The list keeps growing:

former NSA chief: Mukhtar
former EFCC boss: ribadu
Uwais
Chief of Defense staff.

Do we actually have a thing against keeping secrets?

I actually see this as a call for help. I pity the poor gal. She's still looking for the one but she has created a bad rep for herself. So this statement seems to me like part-defiance, part-SOS message.

God help her.

EducationRe: School Fees Of Church-owned Universities In Nigeria by kodewrita(m): 6:06pm On Sep 04, 2011
As a graduate of a private institution, I just want to state that Linda Ikeji's information on the blog article that started this thread IS NOT FACTUAL.

Convenant does not pay anything close to 600k and Bowen University(my alma mater) pays just a little close to 400k and as such she has stylishly added a whole 250k just to sensationalise the issue.

Whatever your feelings about private education, its for those who can afford it. How the money is being used is a different matter entirely.

NB: I will not be responding to any insults. enough said.

What we need is true leadership.
I picked Kaura Namoda because that was the northernmost part of the nigerian railway I believe. Nothing against the people living there but its one step from there into Niger. hence the tip.
PoliticsRe: Pastor Bakare Revolutionary Speech! - Nigerians Are Idiots Ruled By Fools! by kodewrita(m): 5:59am On Sep 01, 2011
Kobojunkie:
Inability to comprehend the message being conveyed is yet again the problem with many on here. You read the man telling you he is not suggesting you rush out like IDIOTS to go protest again, like you have done many times now in the past, yet you want him to lead you somewhere? Where? Seriously, go back to the transcript and tell us where exactly you need him to lead you to . . . using the man's own words.

The man even gives you reason to believe the change has to start from right where you are, yet you are calling on him to lead you? How? Lead you out of making fool-ish decisions in your individual lives? I mean THINK THINK THINK!!!! Most of all READ READ READ to understand  . . . not simply to post a jab, thinking you bring down the messenger when you do so. Gosh!!
scream all you want madam, It still doesnt change the past or the present. He's not someone I really want to hear from. Good or bad.

I would rather listen to a Durotoye tell me that change starts from where I am. I would pick an axe and follow a Soyinka if it became necessary. I would fund a Falana or Gani(R.I.P) court case if need be.

But I would not listen to a pastor who courts power and keeps alternately flirting with and bitching about men_in_power.

Its that simple.

@Bilms how much did moammar pay you to come and post filth here on nairaland. He should have left the post and continue advising from the sidelines. If he loved his people so much why kill them to stay in power.

Your lies dont touch us.

As Beaf said, you are a jihadist hiding under pan-african clothing.
You are an animal. Why should your FBI watch it? Are we not supposed to be free people? You are an Africa slave. You are unworthy of the black blood that flows through you.

We will certainly fight neo-colonialism soonest. I wish to die fighting them. Rubbish!

Africa must be free. The impostors that ruined our land in cohort with Western lords must be deafeated.

As we talk, over a hundred people were killed by your irresponsible government in Ibadan over the weekend because they refuse to run our country well.

May be you are part of the looting gangs at Abuja.
Bros, You are right. You are a true African. I am with you. Talk is cheap. He should start and see how many people follow him.

no need to waste time talking.

Irrespective of his political motives, a pastor should have immediately spoken out against the northern NYSC massacres instead of going to church the next day to rail against his opponents. He should have counselled restraint, instead he spent the time lambasting supposed cheaters.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Rallies Africa To Back New Libyan Govt by kodewrita(m): 6:17pm On Aug 30, 2011
About time. Time to rally the truly important nations and isolate the tyrants and tyrant-friendly nations. Nigeria linking up with Ethiopia is a pretty good idea. The AU just like the League of Nations is steadily losing its relevance by not rising to the occasion and doing whats right. One more political fiasco and we can forget about the whole circus.

South Africa on the other hand have had their noses bruised under Zuma: Cote d'ivoire, Libya are just symptoms of greater things ahead. They will keep going against commonsense and Nigeria will keep showing them WHO'S boss.

They are not being heroic in anyway and NATO is not NAZI germany.

They are the tribal henchmen of ghadaffi who have been raping up and down the country and are probably housing him at the moment. Besides they are not as defenseless as they claim: They launched scud missiles a few days ago.

They need to be dealt with. Decisively.

Baseless Conspiracy theory. And a waste of useful time.

All you hate-filled people find it really hard to believe that the libyans could remove ghadaffi. Guess hero-worship has no limits. In this case, your hero did not read the tea leaves as usual and got canned.

And shame on you as a nation if you must wait for the west before you can emancipate your country.
Foreign AffairsRe: The Lies Against Brother Leader Muammar Gaddafi by kodewrita(m): 5:48pm On Aug 30, 2011
As at 2007, egypt had proven natural gas reserves of 2.06 trillion cubic metres, 1.16% of the world total, and proven oil reserves of 4.07 billion barrels.
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CEUQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mbendi.com%2Fcyegoi.htm&ei=9BFdTvOkPIfo-gbeu_iCAg&usg=AFQjCNENGGJlHR8m3-exPMxvtxAG_uP8Sw

as for tunisia, Crude oil reserves in Tunisia increased from 300m barrels in 2000 to 388m barrels in 2008.
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CDsQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.deplc.com%2Ftunisian-oil-and-gas&ei=tBFdTpppj6H5Br-ptZ0C&usg=AFQjCNG7rvTO66A_Tvq1ryJBtPglfk4f-A

In both cases:
they had oil
the people rose
the army barked at the tyrant
the tyrants gave up.

Ghadaffi bucked the trend and tried to terrorise his people into submission(same thing Assad is doing now). So your point is baseless.

sosodat:
@kodewrita, Nigeria is next for your so called emancipation by the west but in this case not dictatorship, probably the excuse will be terrorism (just like Iraq).

Hope all you Nigerians are getting ready, CIA boots are already on ground in Nigeria now. Have you wondered why the United Nations Building was the one bombed, not US or even Nigerian government buildings. That is to invite the US in a subtle way and that has already been accomplished.

For all I know, the war in Libya is not a revolution but Divide and Rule.

Nigeria can be next in that we have rebels too - MEND (the ones we can see) and Boko Haram (the invisible ones sponsored by ??). When the west decides it is in their best interest or the Nigerian government doesn't dance accordingly, then be sure we will be hearing about REBELS but rather in the vein of either NIGERIANS RISING UP or NIGERIA HAS BECOME A THREAT TO THE WORLD BY BEING A TRAINING GROUND FOR TERRORISM.

Anyway this war against a legitimate Libyan state is a warning to all African leaders and states to Obey. Also, I bet as he is out of the way, the US will get their long wanted wish for a permanent Military base in Africa which Gaddafi has been a party in opposing all this while.
@Kodewrita, hope you will be saying thank you to the World police when Nigeria is destabilized too or rather saved.

NOTE - Tunisia and Egypt had a real revolution, by the masses (NOT Heavily armed and funded rebels) without lifting up or firing a shot. But I guess OIL ain't there or in Yemen, Syria, Sudan etc
Stop being paranoid, even the UN security chief was interviewed by BBC and he called nigeria a 'medium to low threat' region hence their low security budget. No one is stupid enough to try invading a 150m strong country.

No country that big has been invaded anywhere in the world in the last 15_20 years. None. Being this big has its advantages,.

You would rather deny the libyans their freedom so you can feel nice.

He's gone and the world is a better place without im. Next on the list, Mugabe. Time to remove thabumbling idiot.
Foreign AffairsRe: The Lies Against Brother Leader Muammar Gaddafi by kodewrita(m): 11:18pm On Aug 29, 2011
Ghadaffi GONE.

love him all you want. simple fact is that his people rose and kicked him out.

You come here to parrot Russian propaganda and expect us to believe it.

We all know they are has-beens and would always oppose everything said by the 'West' just for the sake of opposition. They only try to delude us into believing they are objective. They still see the world through the old communist regime's glasses.

Fact is Ghadaffi was a PURE TYRANT and deserved to be chased.

Standing up to the west is no longer fashionable and its no longer an excuse for denying people freedom. Thats a Farmer Jones Argument (Kick me out and the colonialists will come back).

He's gone along with the rest of his thieving clan.

As for bombing syria, Any pragmatic person would weigh the cost before attempting a course of action. Does it make military sense to invade syria and risk inflaming the region. Libya shares no border with israel and cannot cause any big issue if invaded. Invading syria would also unleash hezbollah on israel and vice versa. besides Syria will find all means to drag in israel into the party and there's no way Iran will not assist syria leading to one big cluster.bleep

The best bet is to simply stay out of it until other people in the region agree to take the fight to the syrians. People easily forget that libya was touched off by its neighbours Egypt and tunisia. The same's not happening outside the maghreb. They have stronger armies and more bargaining power, hence the failed uprisings in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen(?), Syria.

Another reason ghadaffi should be shot: By prolonging his final defeat, he helped dampen the enthusiasm on the Arab street and made it a deeply messy affair. He essentially stifled the hopes not only of the libyans that died in the war but also that of many arabs outside libya who also lost their hope in the revolutions.

Long & Short: Excepting Morocco and Algeria, the Maghreb Arab nations are now free of their dictators( while the rest of you are still busy shouting 1970's crap) .
