I concur but you’d even find similar designs in upscale areas of Lagos.

I’m only worried about having a bungalow on N18.5m land.

The ultimate decision is with the poster though..

These kind of houses violate almost every building code and should not be allowed to stand.

They build alot of rubbish on Lagos Island.

The Land is 7.5*42m, it is a narrow one.

I’ve actually seen the system before and know how it works. I fell in love with it at first sight but when I was ready to explore I could not find anyone to work with.

Maybe this is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for since 2015 when I got introduced to the system.

A concrete box would work magic. The brick and mortar version is just a cheap man edition.

Cornice or No cornice?

The new trend is to do the POP wall to wall. But as a personal preference, I kinda love to see cornice used in POP ceiling.

If you are in East cutix is okay . 2.5mm cable for AC? IEE standard says 4mm. Below are the recommended cable sizes for appliance by IEE regulation

1.5mm is lighting lighting
2.5mm is for socket
4mm is for AC and water heater

My advice.

To lower tiling cost, you do not have to tile your whole kitchen from top to bottom. Why not just do a 1m girth tiling between top and bottom cabinet?

Your kitchen is 9m² which means it's most likely ( 3m x 3m).

The height of your wall is most likely 2.7m. That means the 36sqm for kitchen wall is excess even if you're tiling everywhere (There's 3m allowance for door space and window space).

My opinion on the roof design or style should complement the house design. Meaning a modern contemporary house might have a flat roof

1. Flat roofs should be done at an angle that will guarantee good run-off.

2. Try to avoid gutters in flat roofs. It's better if your eaves extend outward.

3. Use longspan. Thick guage.

4. Request for normal corrugation instead of metral.

5. Find good installer. That's all.

First external beams or lintel should always run around the building in the form of a Link...
We should not just put small iron on the window and expect it to stand..

Secondly.. The blocks might not be solid enough to even support the beam or it self weight..

Thirdly is bad foundation type used which may result to differential settlement...

I've had a similar experience. We spent almost a week adjusting to round shape from the sphere he did before..

It's easier to use plasterboard to do these kind of designs. You draw and cut from the ground and fix it up there.

They don't prevent slab deflection.

And its better to reduce the rebar spacing for a slab than introduce "secret beams"
