northbird: @ pearl.
The security guards were not blind. I mean if you see a lion or a rhinoceros in real life, you would know these are special kind of animals, they don't need any introduction, their mere presence is intimidating....
No matter the influx of guests, the arrival of the CP and his men will surely stand out, heck there was even a rider escort, Baba forget, those security guards goofed big time.
On the issue of preferential treatment, it's a global thing. If you fly into any country with a private Jet, (United States inclusive) there is a separate clearance desk for VIPs, you won't queue with everybody.
In Lagos alone, there are over 15 area commands. Even an area commander won't dare his/her CP. Honour to whom honour is due. You seem to be wasting your time baba, Uche's disposition are always fixated and oftentimes run contrary with realities...No waste your precious time |

dru23: Penny wise , pound foolish........... Mobil 20w50 at an accredited station is 9k Naira for 4liter. Depending on ur car usage .. Especially for ehailing ... You will need to change every 3k miles.......
Uber driver does at least 2k miles a month .... Break down cost each oil change every month or 10k miles.....
Mobil 20w50........ 9k Oil Change labour.......3k Oil Filter.................... 2500k Total = 14500k each month or every 3k miles
Super Tech Advance for 20k miles 22500k Naira. ( Change oil every 3months or 10k miles) *** use quality filter...........
Super Tech .....22500k Fram Extended Oil filter 5k naira....... good for 10k miles oil change.
Oil change Labour .......3k
..........kindly do the math....... Keep the following in mind .......
Fram oil Filter 10k miles oil change.... Filter will last for the whole 3months or 10k miles .......
Non Extended Oil filter .... You have to change them every time you do oil change.
As we enter 2022 make we buckle up . make we use sense on how we spend money..... So sorry bro...I'm sticking with Kanuthegoat postulation, besides the Oil you're banditing around has no place in autospace... kanuisagoat: Unpopular opinion. Just buy 20w50 from a reliable Mobil station and change religiously every 3000 miles.
Better to use original Mobil 20w50 that you change frequently than buy fake penzoil or whatever that you'll keep in your engine for long because you thought you got an original Omo!!! Reasoning too full your head....I thought about this, all these foreign brands of items...whenever they come into country they ain't the same standard bro....so why waste your money...na just trademark dem dey sell...I'll rather go with this piece of advise |

northbird: I doubt people will leave the island to Badagry for beach sightseeing.
You can still get a ride out of the island beaches by 10pm to mainland easily. From Badagry axis, na war. The crime rate at that axis is alarming. Yes, traffic could pin you down on Ligali ayorinde, or road leading to Landmark, but you won't be afraid some loser will come out of nowhere to rob you in a gridlock.
Though I agree with you, the beaches are overhyped.. Esp. that alpha Beach.
Landmark is the only one that looks sane n its cos of a functional management. I strongly disagree...if water channels are well /adequatetly buoyed - meaning the navigational channels are well dredged with nautical lighting indicators, the distance from lekki to badagry won't be more than 30mins through the sea. If Lagos state Government could align with National inland water ways , sheath their swords...they'll both harness the opportunities that abound along that corridor. But water transportation requires huge financial investment, no doubt....but there willing investors out there from Scandinavian countries, provided we do the right thing. |

Hopefully when Lagos-Badagry road is completed people can visit and see what beaches should look like not all these over hyped dirty ones. You're absolutely spot on...all these so called beaches: atican beach, oniru beach, landmark beach, (defunct bar beach/kuramo) are no were beside beaches along badagry coast...with coconut trees lined up, once the road is plyable I go like visit the beach close to ASCON - administrative staff college Nigeria |

VaselineCrew: Meeeen!!!
It just seems all the small money I make driving bolt goes into repairing my car. Though I must admit that my car wasn’t in the best shape to begin with sha.
After changing my compressor and condenser recently, I have now changed my engine mounts that were making the car vibrate so so bad. The vibrations were bad men, almost like the engine was gonna fall apart, lol.
Out of the four, one was so bad, all the rubber had gone off. The other three are pictured below.
You can see how they have tears in them and the one with hydraulic fluid inside was busted from below. So you can imagine how the mounts with the tears were when the weight of the engine was on them. They probably were just giving way allowing for almost metal to metal contact.
Honestly I can’t believe this is my same car. So smooth in reverse and drive now, you hardly know the engine is on.
Now we move on to the suspension and transmission fluid, chai!
I just want to be able to save without dropping so much on my car. This will be difficult, if not impossible to achieve. Why? Some of the parts are substandard&costly. Good expertise in car fix are rare to come by, and if you came across you'll be paying through your noses. Rideshare is a side hustle, look for another thing tey join body... Gracias!!! |

How does bolt or how can one handle a situation whereby one is very close to a rider’s pick up point and he or she cancel the request.
Even after one has called them to let them know you are on your way.
Imagine driving more than 7km and when almost there they cancel.
The last one pain me enter blood, I feel like calling back the rider and insulting the hell out of her.

VaselineCrew: There is an oil spec on the cap, but according to my manual (attached), 20w 50 is acceptable in this climate.
Yeah dropping the pan is definitely not typical maintenance, but it was my fault mostly for not changing the oil on time. Even now my oil is very dirty, meaning I have been procrastinating the oil change and dropping the pan is for my peace of mind, so the engine doesn’t knock. After that, if I keep up with regular oil changes, which I always say I’ll do but never quite do, the engine should be relatively clean.
I’m sure there are better oils out there, that may allow for longer oil change intervals, but the total oil doesn’t fall under this category, so though it is acceptable, I reckon it just has to be changed very often, like maybe every 2000-3000km, just a guess.
As per the transmission, I thought some fluid will still be left over after draining? Anyways as you said, there is a dipstick. I’m so thankful mine has a dipstick and is not one of those new ones that are “sealed”, so if anything I can always gauge it.
The plan though was to do a cold fluid drain since the fluid volume varies with temperature. Catch all the fluid, measure what came out and put back precisely that amount of new cold fluid. Bro...you're flogging a dead horse....is of no use having a discussion with someone who seems obstinate and bullheaded. |
