I feel intrigued to say this, but this thread is actually one out of a very low number of threads that i've seen on nairaland which runs into 5 pages or more pages without two or more people yet to hurl insults at one another. Something tells me i might still be wrong though. ![]() Anyways, once again,Adieu Steve Jobs. You gave me an Ipad,an Ipod, and an Iphone(not for free though) . Thanks for the inspiration. ![]() |
Adieu Steve. Waiting to see how his death is gonna affect Apple stocks. |
engr j:Absolutely spot on. Even most bachelors wouldn't bother to seek public consent about what their fiancees or girlfriends deserve, talk more or less about a married man. I've begun seeing responses like Cars,Houses,Vacations.etc already and i'm dead sure not all wives fancy those, they are human beings and have their own preferences which might only be known by people who cohabit with them,ESPECIALLY the Husband. ![]() |
Wanna buy a phone that'll be out of style in a number of months, buy the Iphone 4S. They did it with the Iphone 3G and 3GS too. Its not another marketing ploy to milk the public as much as possible to hype up the Iphone 5 further. Reports even suggested that Apple stocks fell a bit cuz people were expecting a 5 and not an upgraded 4 but i think they'd more than be compensated by the time 5 drops. Perhaps, they should have made a cheaper version of the Iphone 4 instead,as they did with the Iphone 3G. Think i'll rather wait till the Iphone 5 is out before deciding to visit my bank or not. BTW The Jury is still out on how Apple products would fare in the market without the Steve Jobs effect. Personally, his presentation was actually the main inspiration behind my interest in buying their products, and i don't think it'd be the same without him being there. I foresee a drop in Apple prices in the long term. Time will prove me right or wrong though. ![]() |
WTF!!!!! Don't know why,but anytime i see a Nigerian Policeque headline,i always have this ready-made laugh coming up. Guess the toll collections just got doubled officially. A robber in the Bank is provoking enough already, but when the bankbelongs to the Police, then you know the NPF is a Super-Joke. ![]() |
Well, this is not the first time he's predicted something like that. He did it several times during the 2010 World Cup and his predictions were spot on. Anyways,Betfred and Williams Hill should be soooo happy i don't have that prediction knack in me,i'd have made them totally bankrupt. ![]() |
The college looks like Its run by Asians. I'm sure there are a lot of colleges like that in the UK,perhaps their own bubbles are not opportuned to blow yet. The last one i heard about was about a Nigerian Septuagenarian and his sixty-something year old wife being accused of something similar to this. Don't know how it all ended up though, but i think such occurrences are only going to make the scrutiny of foreign students further complicated. |
@Topic. You can maintain different views while keeping your temper in check. I can't speak for all Christians/Muslims but i don't get offended by Atheists simply cuz i don't really care a hoot about what Atheists believe is true or not. I only believe what i know and my beliefs are not precursors for others'. BTW Getting offended and scouring the web for the most sensitive insults to haul at someone from behind a PC is only as effective to the other party as trying to verbally convince a she-goat that she was born a Cow. Its futile. ![]() (Not in all cases though as Nairaland always has its own aspiring Nigerian heavyweights' competition of insults everyday ) |
tayo03us1:Yea,i have been playing it on my PS3 for a couple of days now,and to be fair to you and anyone else who'd wanna know,i think there's possibly no difference at all in the gameplay of 12 and 11,although a few players developed further(as expected)and teams have been upgraded. But i don't just get what the fuss about the Tactical defending is,it doesn't really reflect on my defending when playing, intro to matches got some short clips attached,Teams get selected ala Classic Mortal Kombat style. To summarize the whole stuff up,i'd give it a 8/10. But if you've been an ardent player of FIFA 11 like me,you won't find much worthy of special note in FIFA 12. Waiting to see what Konami has in store for us. ![]() |
werepeLeri:My posts on here are absolutely none of your business, man. I've not commented on any of yours so far,so i don't seem to understand your insinuation 'bout me shouting 'bout her husband's gov't. Moreover,My opinions are mine, not yours. I hope you'll respect that. Thank you. ![]() |
oswardic:Dude,i don't know in which country/on which planet you're breathing and typing from, but what i surely know is that the very first sales of FIFA 12(Gold/Platinum versions inclusive) and NOT THE DEMO VERSIONS in the United Kingdom went into full swing at midnight on the 30th of September,2011. I had actually pre-booked 3 copies since the 20th of September for 35GBP each and i had downloaded, installed the DEMO and played FIFA 12 since the 19th of September,2011. And i was actually in the FunGames Store in Sauciehall street in Glasgow till 15 minutes past midnight that day so i could get my copies ASAP. Was the 5th person on the queue. And for the fact that i had played everything possible on the FIFA 12 by the 20th of September, that means i had actually played it exactly a week before you claim to have done so. ![]() |
Wondering if the President is so poor he can't afford a personal linguist/speech groom for his wife. Had always thought there was 1 pre-attached to the Office of the Presidency. Hitler,Stalin,Ronald Reagan,Mussolini,Fidel Castro,Obama all had/have one and those fellas were/are powerful orators who could convince a full-grown man that he was born a goat, yet they still had not just 1 linguist, but groups of. Talk more or less, the representative of all the women in Africa's most populous nation. ![]() Its not a crime if she's not an orator though,no orator was born one. But it'd do her husband's image a stupendous amount of good. ![]() |
ogugua88:Should have included this in my previous post, but my last post was obviously directed to ogugua88. ![]() |
Yeah! Thanks a lot! The place was not actually the best of places to have a large gathering as such. It was just a big restaurant. But who cares, everybody obviously had a swell time, except those who had to be carried home though, after too much liquor don make their eye RED (as par 9ice). Got back home at 4:30 am,had to despoil my bed till 1 pm . But yea, everything else was banging. Thanks. ![]() |

Just came back from "the Calabash" on Union street,Glasgow. That automatically means no Church going today. ![]() |
Its calm mate, took a break from riding the waves of the North Atlantic. Will be back to the sea soon though cuz that's where i belong. ![]() |

Does anybody know of anything Nigerian coming up in Glasgow,or Scotland generally today? Need info o cuz i don't want to dull it o. Will be hanging out at Karbon tonight to dance to some Nigerian tunes and see some Nigerian faces. Holla. ![]() |
I'm sure every man and his dog in Nigeria knows that the said University is a private,Christian university. Its not just a University but an indirect extension of the Church's wings, and there are thousands of Religious tertiary institutions like that that also cater for Buddhists,Taoists, Confucians, Hindu monks and their children.etc in various parts of the world. Though,i might have my own reservations about the University but they have exclusive rights to OFFER and DENY admission to whoever it is, and if they deem it fit that they don't want an applicant, only a Law court can overturn that. Moreover, applicants don't DEMAND admission. ![]() BTW With the religious naivety and intolerance that abounds in Nigeria, the last place i would want to take my child to is A OR ANY religious institution. However,it was the parents' choice anyway and i think Covenant univ. shouldn't be the only or religious univ. in Nigeria. Also the applicant's form was said to contain conflicting information. I've never seen a Muslim catholic,or Anglican.etc. That might even have stirred the first pair of eyebrows. |
Why opt for one when you can have both? There are loads of Nokia mobiles that come with both packages at affordable amounts. |
Hopefully, Berbanbaeur starts and shines. Here's to hoping! |
"You GOT him with another girl in bed " Hmm, That sounds more like a steamy party to me. ![]() |
They use it because they know a lot of fellaz are so motiveless as to sit behind a desk all day looking at hundreds of pictures, with saliva dripping down the edges of their mouths drop by drop while making daft comments. ![]() But it doesn't give you cancer of the eyes or shorten your life span to look elsewhere if you're bothered at the least. ![]() |
REAL MEN ? NOOOOO, We don't. I know a lot of toy shops around here though where you could buy a REAL male doll, and it even comes with a free barbie! Now,that's a real couple, innit? Cheers. NEXT. |
bombsquad:Rephrasing your comment: The more civilized and trendy you are,the more you show off to the world, innit? ![]() Guess if you're married or even single, your visiting girlfriend could show up on your doorstep with only her G-String on,and you'd kiss her and praise her to the heavens for being soooo civilized and trendy!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! LWKMD!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Thumbs up man,you rock!!!!! ![]() |
WTF has a Joystick got in common with the Male reproductive system ?? ![]() Seems like calling it its proper name is censored as well. WTF! ![]() Saw this on the front page and was wondering why would stealing a 35-40 GBP Playstation or X-box Joystick cause headline news! @Topic anyways, 'v heard stuff like that before and you can never rule anything out(in Africa) unless you're the one involved, much worse things have happened. Back then, the stories were that someone'd make it look accidental and brush his/her hand against your crotch, and you'd become pen.i.sless. Thrilling,Simply illogical,Mind boggling, but also was the Ouija board and Magic. ![]() |
plappville:From what you've written,i can easily deduce that: I. You're "born again", II. You're a fan of W.F Kumuyi, III. You're a deeper life member. IV. You're almost bound to be an ardent reader of the bible. If at least,2 of my deductions are correct, you should be among the last people to scratch their heads when the subject matter is the manner of chasing out evil spirits. BTW What has his demonstration during deliverances got to do with anything. ![]() Going by your way of thought, Exorcisms are a nuisance to the society and all catholics who believe in and had ever partook in it are pagans since that might involve much more than scratching of body parts and bold gazes. Be Objective. ![]() |
Watched this video as far back as 2008-2009 and frankly, all her claims are as baseless as they come. Anybody could wake up one morning and conjure up those stories. To back her claims, she simply lacks substantial evidence to buttress whatever she's spewed out. As far as i know/have heard/have seen, T.B Joshua's works are overwhelmingly positive,His prophecies are accurate, and his Philanthropism is just World-class(and he doesn't have 5 jetliners). That's enough to convince me that he is a good man and a loyal apostle of Good causes. ![]() |
Something tells me i might still be wrong though.
