3 pages, and i'm yet to find a direct response borne out of "logic". Its funny i once saw of these NL "evangelical" atheists postingexplicitly about how some advanced forms of surreal Magic is real, and he was still hinging his disbelief about God on lack of "logic". ![]() |
Well "if",its a good thing then that Gadaffi wasn't a Nigerian. I don't need to draw needless comparisons. |
@Manny4life, are you kidding me? Oh,i forgot there are CIA spies on NL and perhaps we even have Central Nairaland Intelligence Agency. I won't repeat all i'v said again but i'll say again that 1: If we have Nigerians whom are so learned about the happenings at the pentagon and White house and the American Oil innuendo utter rhino dung i read yesterday(and perhaps today),such Nigerians should publish books about these things and watch themselves raking in millions being Conspiracy theorists. Wikileaks started off similarly with Julian. 2: If they're not intellectually powerful enough to do that, let them hijack a plane, drop bombs on the white house and co. if they're so pained by the US being a World-superpower,and by the fact that Libyans are out going bonkers with joy in their own streets while those posters in Nigeria don't even know if the next Boko Haram suicide bomber destined for "paradise" is about to detonate himself in their backyard. Gadaffi is dead. An ins.a.n.e.ly 42-year dictatorship has crumbled. That's all there is to it for me. I don't give a damn sexy f/u/c/k about anybody else's opinion about that. Nuff said. |
Have not seen the video but i know a lot of people would still doubt it,especially those Nigerians who are the "real" occupants of the White house and know absolutely everything that's happening backstage at the Pentagon with microsecond accuracy. ![]() |
For all of the thermometers that could get ruptured in Dante's inferno, the dictator Gadaffi is reported dead, killed by his own people, after sending hundreds of thousands of his own flesh and blood to where nobody knows. Anybody that has a problem with that should hijack a FSC Stealth bomber(which cannot be detected by common Radar echo signals) from the nearest naval base to him/her,fly at Mach III across the south and north atlantic oceans consecutively into Washington District of Columbia,target-lock the Pentagon and White House at once, bomb it with 5.68 tonnes worth of air to land missiles, and be built a golden statue, given a national holiday, and declared a National Hero in Afghanistan and South Yemen, instead of being a local champion of some American Oil innuendo hyenacrap on Nairaland. ![]() Gadaffi's death or America's world dominance doesn't add an extra penny into my Lloyds,RBS and Barclays Accounts. ![]() |
I think: every normal human needs a good dose of both to be a good partner. If you have only love for your girl/fiancée/wife,perhaps you might not even want to have sex with her cuz you'd be more like a hopelessly romantic mushroom. If you only have lust for her, she'd only be as valuable to you as a robotic barbie for sale in Poundland;perhaps except when you're Hot. Frankly, neither is more powerful than the other. It just depends on the make-up of the person involved. Just my thoughts though. ![]() |
They'd be outrightly stupid to want to embark on that kind of journey without having a medical examination and analysis. ![]() |
Will be a welcome development. Have sailed on a couple of Maersk PANAMAX ships and they are the real deal. They boast of having the largest container ships on the planet in their fleet. Simply one of the best you can find, and making Nigeria a pivotal point in their shippings to West Africa would be symbiotic. But that its not all talk and nothing more remains to be seen. Here's to hoping they make good their quotes. ![]() |
LMAO at Topic. Nigerians pray like the devil is standing right in front of them holding a three-pronged garden fork, yet Nigerians areamong the most scrutinized nationals abroad, and Nigeria is feared among the global heavyweights of corruption. ![]() |
It seems you've been away for a while. A lot of people dont buy these CD's. Naija market is mostly pirated cds that people deal with. The guy said its at mega plaza. By diesel, what i mean is they have to power their store/mall and you know how power is in naija. 2000 naira is nothing. How many CD's do you think they will sell. This is not bestbuy or walmart we talking here.
Pirated game discs. (Check) Lack of Electricity. (Check) Low patronage. (Check) Profit margin: 2,000-3,000 Naira/Unit sold. (Cool). Just got your point. That's true. You're absolutely spot on. But you wouldn't sell yours for 20,000 naira though. |
tayo03us:Well,i'd say if you've been an avid player of FIFA 11,you wouldn't fancy the gameplay of 12 as much. As i posted earlier, the interplay is good but too "open" in a way you can only describe if you've played it. Runs are much more easier to detect, defences are much more easier to split in half, and defending just got 5 notches higher in its difficulty. However, what i'v found out with experience is that people grow with games e.g cuz i found FIFA 11 extraordinarily clumsy and unresponsive too when i switched from PES 11. FIFA 12's ball control is as perfect as it has ever been, the momentum of the gameplay is intensive, the movement is more responsive to your controls.(Messi only needs to cut in from the flank while sprinting to send a defender into Narnia ),but those things i said earlier are some of its seemingly down sides FOR NOW.12 has been out for just about a month or thereabout,so i'd advise you to go for the 12. Something tells me i'll still come to love it with time, maybe you will too and then the cycle will start all over again when 13 arrives. |
na wa for people sha. you yarn say the thing na like 10 to 11 grand and dem dey sell am for 13000 in naija and you want to crucify them. Personally i'd have expected it to be more in the 20,000 range. Paltry 2000 naira profit and you are criticizing. Who go pay for diesel and the cost of shipping to naija. Hen? 13,000 is a steal and i believe it is even way too cheap sef
You call a 2,000 naira profit on each game disc sold by a Nigerian game retailer "PALTRY"? Which diesel you on about? I'v got no problem if you have a shop and you sell your discs for a hundred thousand. If i need it,i'm gon get it. But you know what? Whatever rocks your boat, man. Good luck to your customers if you've got a shop. ![]() |
tayo03us:Wow. I never knew. I really think EA Sports are getting the better of Konami these days. Played PES 2011 and FIFA 11 again yesternite after playing the FIFA 12 endlessly, and could safely conclude that the PES games have a lot of catching up to do. However, that's not to say that FIFA 12 doesn't have its own flaws. But i personally prefer the FIFA 11 to the 12. There seems to be more space to run in behind defenders in 12,and forwards feel more kinda "lightweight" thus making defending much more difficult. BTW 13,000? FIFA 12 packs now go for about 45 GBP. That's just about 10-11,000 naira, guess some Nigerian traders will always want to milk their customers' pockets to the max. |
manny4life:Yeah,all your points are spot on. However,a Seaport as the name implies is directly linked to the Sea,and not an inland waterway. Also, the suez and panama canals were not bigger than the rivers Niger or benue a couple of decades ago,but it was the determination and vision of their governments that paid off and today they've more than gained back a quadruple fold of what they've spent. On my first sea voyage, while passing through the suez canal, which cost us about 25,000 US Dollars(albeit for a MSC 15,000 TEU giant),at one point, the distance separating the Ship side and the canal's banks was down to centimeters! So,it is not very wide but very deep. Same can be done with those two Nigerian rivers. But whether the Gov't is as visionary and committed to the cause as those other gov'ts is open to debate. ![]() |
oswardic:My server needs a makeover. I don't need to download the full version again since i have the complete package already? PES 2012?? Is it out? ![]() I don't think so. |
macjive01:Don't pull what you can't get a clear grasp of,man. From your post above,i can deduce you don't know Poo about where the sea ends and begins, and its relative expansiveness in different countries and how the territorial waters are measured. If Onitsha is ever going to have a port, its NEVER going to be a deep sea port. Even a geographical nitwit would know that. Along with its inland port,it could also have a lot of lighters and ICDs(Inland container depots). As a navigator myself,i'd never steer my deep sea ship towards the channels of a delta. Any navigation officer who even contemplates that deserves to be stripped of his badges and given 40 lashes of the horsewhip. WTF |
Connoisseur:You're right. In express terms,a ferry cannot be described as a Cargo ship, even though it is capable of ferrying cargo. Also, the waterways of Onitsha are inland around the divisions of the delta,so the ports there are NOT seaports. ![]() |
So,if Siasia should go,how many other local coaches do we have that can match/better his managerial experience. Seems Yakubu has not been on good terms with the man or something,he speaks reassuringly of Steve Kean at Blackburn despite the scot having a nightmare almost every time he has stood in the dug out this season. Infact, that's kinda ballsy coming from him(a squad player). Siasia should be retained and given another chance. He is still the best Nigeria has got right now IMO. And what i'm sure of is that his quotes,if true, might come back to haunt him someday. |
Looks like the poster just wanna ruffle some feathers and create some banter on nairaland just for the sake of it. Threads like this should be in their hundreds already on here. If marriage is overrated, stay single and enjoy your life miss. eso es todo, señora. ![]() |
despoil translates to Desecration on nairaland? WTF The most probable thing they'd use the "filled" condoms for is something fetish, perhaps a money-making ritual as someone posted earlier. No sane/in.sane lady goes around r.a.p.i.n.g guys and collecting their fluids for scientific research or purposes. ![]() |
Not bothered personally cuz mine is looking every inch the best anybody can get already. ![]() Just a couple of gentle tweaks and we'll be sailing with full masts alongside. ![]() |
Guess he's also changed his mind about Al Awlaki's death. That dude does not look like he's deluded beyond belief. He is. ![]() Was watching the news on BBC this evening with some Scottish pals when the guy's image kept flashing all over the screen and the name "Nigerian" kept echoing throughout the room. In a room previously filled with banter, everybody just kept mute when this particular stale gist was on,and the eerie silence was so pricking i felt like i was the guy in question. We were back to our old ways after a couple of minutes, but those few minutes really stirred something indescribable in me. Anytime something negative is said about Nigeria, the lads would always turn to me for answers as if i was the culprit. ![]() |
stepo707:Too many cooks spoil the broth. His choice of adjectives and metaphors often conflict with the message he's trying to pass across. (i.e if he was trying to send a message across to his listeners in the first instance at all). : Perhaps he should just save us the message and go teach "Mrs Dame" how to stop calling herself a widow when she's not. ![]() I'm sure her husband'd really appreciate that. ![]() |
^^Most of my Tamil friends and even my Punjabi guys that are kinda more "westernized" were brought up by their indian mothers to respectfully "fear" girls,so much that in most of our university pictures together, especially those in which girls appeared, these guys usually stand apart from the girls at about a meter or more everytime and it doesn't matter what you say to them! So it wasn't a surprise when i actually found out later after a lot of them had been engaged,it was the girls' family that tooks gifts, food, spices, money.etc to the guy's house ala the Nigerian pattern and i almost had to push one of them out from hiding behind acurtain once because he was too shy to look his bride-to-be in the eye. ![]() What's more surprising is the girls in question are indescribably beautiful but they still pay "groomprice!". lolzzzz!!! If they were to be Nigerians,i bet you'd be asked to double the bride price. |
oswardic:Yay,i won! Actually,I often play online but i've been disconnected for a couple of weeks now,so no online gaming for me right now. ![]() But i have the Demo, and the FIFA 12 packs in my library right now. So,Bingo. ![]() |
rezzy:How was it wrong? He predicted an unfavorable outcome, and it wasn't just an unfavorable outcome,it was a disastrous one. ![]() |
That's a no brainer. ![]() |

I don't exactly know the details of the prophecy, but if the quotes that i've been seeing recently like this did not feature any numerical figures,i'm puzzled as to where people found out that he predicted a 1-0 loss to Guinea. Going by the match report, everything he prophesied about came to pass. Albeit, its gonna take a whole new dimension for you if you're an atheist,an agnostic,or someone who just doesn't like the man or his prophecies. Nigeria didn't qualify at the end of the day. Nuff said. ![]() |
@Topic: Wow! Is that a credit to LASG or a Slap on the Ghanaian and Sierra-leonean governments? I'd rather go with the former. ![]() |
What is food for the goose is surely palatable to the gander. In reminiscence of the "21st century" women equivocal bla bla bla stuff, asking a man out/proposing to a man should not be made to be a mountain when its nothing but a molehill. It is very, very acceptable in a "21st century" society . ![]() |

What was the prophesy about Spain winning the WC?You mean you were undoubtedly sure that Holland was gonna win Brazil in the 2010 world cup? And you already knew Uruguay were gonna win the Copa America even before it started,at the expense of Brazil,Chile,Mexico,Paraguay,Argentina? You ought to be a mega multi-billionaire then!!! |
Its funny i once saw of these NL "evangelical" atheists posting
