The STCW 95 certificates are vital,but to make headway smoothly,it'd be best if you acquire a HND/Bsc in Nautical Science,or Marine engineering.etc. With your current papers you'd only fit in as an inexperienced rating on most ships(which is quite rare considering the fact that most shippers recruit highly experienced ratings to make up for their lack of "paper" qualifications) thus if you can afford it,it'd be best to further your maritime studies first. The average Nigerian is generally uptight when the word "sex" is mentioned,

NNS Aradu(Thunder) is the Nigerian FLAGSHIP and we've been gifted
