treesun: Former Governor of Sokoto state, Attahiru Bafarawa, on Monday spoke on how bandits made him abandon his 10,000 hectares of land in Kaduna State.
Speaking to newsmen on the high cost of foodstuff in the country, he said the people of Bafarawa usually seek permission from bandits before going to farm.
Bafarawa is a district under Isa local government area in the eastern part of Sokoto state.
The politician told journalists that bandits were the ones who decide which farm to be cultivated or not in his community.
“I used to have a farmland which is over 10,000 hectares in Birni Gwari of Kaduna State. I have been cultivating that land since 1979 but I cannot reach there now because of the bandits.”
“The maize I produced that time is in commercial quantity that, I used part of it for my flour mill which is also out of production. The issue of insecurity is behind the high cost of food items because many farmers have been displaced.
“There was a time I warned the federal government about the impending food insecurity in the country but my advice was ignored,” he said
He called for a genuine collaborative efforts between the federal government, state and the local government to tackle insecurity, particularly in the north.
Islie: what we had and wait till tomorrow to see what the market holds. “The increase in the rate is due to demand pressure. The number of people demanding for dollars is higher than those selling.
“So it is difficult to meet the demand as we do not have access to buying from BDCs talk of from the CBN.”
Also confirming this development and expressing optimism that the naira will further appreciate this week, Gwadehe said: “There is a turn of events now. Naira is appreciating as we speak, the rate has come down to N1,250 – N1,270.
“Now the rate is going down due to a combination of factors. The CBN has intervened today at the NAFEM market. Dollar sales and disbursement to BDCs have been coordinated and streamlined for efficiency and liquidity.
“The securities agencies have swooped on those illegal behaviours, arrests were made today in Abuja and Kano. So all these factors are playing a bigger role because all the behaviours that have no economic value have been checkmated and streamlined. So I believe appreciation of the Naira cannot but continue.”
Speaking further, Gwadabe called for an executive order to deposit their holding into a non-exports domiciliary with silent sources requirement of an amount below # 50k for 3 months.
He also called for the creation of investment bonds for Nigerians in the Diaspora without tax charges.
Danand1: Well, they are actually different Yoruba words, because Yoruba writes with signs on their vowels to differentiate words So what are the signs on the ado that differentiate them from that of the orun oba ado
These Web sources below will give you more insights about the use of "Amin Ohun" or Tonal Marks in the Yoruba language.
"Learning of Yoruba Tone Marks" video of 21 minutes can also be found on YouTube in the English language via a simple YouTube and/or Google search.
Danand1: So with all this ados that is in Yoruba land why translating the ado in orun oba ado to be Edo and infact during those period it's Benin kingdom and not Edo So if it's through that the orun is for Benin kings, it would have been orun oba benin and not orun oba Ado that you turned erroneously to edo
The Ado in "Orun Oba Ado" is NOT the same as the Ado in other parts of Yorubaland which means "settlements."
Google Orun Oba Ado and you will see the several pictures of the place where the heads of past Oba's of Benin were symbolically buried over the centuries until 1884.
It's just like the word OGUN or OKO which can have multiple meanings and pronunciations depending on the diacritical marks used in the words.
Ogun mean war or battle on Yoruba. You have Olori Ogun meaning Head or War leader.
Ogun can also mean medicine (which the Igalas who are a Yoruboid people and language spell as Ogwu).
Ogun is the Yoruba deity or God of war.
Oko means farm. Oko means husband. Oko mean penis. Oko means car (or vehicle) Oko mean hoe.
Also, to answer another question of yours, yes Benin was not part of Yorubaland but was an independent kingdom but they maintained ancestral ties especially via the Royal Palace with Ife. Most kingdoms too in Yorubaland operated as confederate states (under the vast Oyo Empire and extended from Nigeria to modern Togo) or were independent.
But it will interest you that Benin had battles with the kingdom on Agbor and I think Isele Uku back in time despite being closely related.
Parts of Yorubas also fought a deadly Civil War and other battles with alliances being made by one kingdom with the other because of internal power struggles and the desire to be free from the Oyo Empire and the Ibadan Empire by the Ekitis and Ijesas led by Balogun (or General) Ogedengbe Agbogunboro in the Kiriji Wars against Ibadan.
Danand1: But if ado in orun oba ado is translated to mean Edo, I think ado in ado-ekiti should mean edo-ekiti, just asking though.
But do you know that there is ado kingdom in the time past, and that is said to be in Ogun state
Ado-Odo is located in modern-day Ogun State in the southwestern part of Nigeria. You can check it out So that you won't mistook it for Benin
Actually "Ado" is the Yoruba word for settlement. Ado Ekiti means "Settlement on or near a Hill." You have Oke Ado area of Ibadan, Ado Odo/Ota, Ado Ekiti, etc. Ekiti and Okiti for instance are dialectic variants of the same word for Hill. Okitipupa in Ondo State has Okiti as a prefix. Ekiti folks call theirs without the first letter O.
Because "Odo" in Ado-Odo area of Ogun State means river, while "Ado" means settlement or "we settled," therefore, Ado-Odo, means "we settled by the riverbank."
I actually read years back in the early 1990s in an article that Ado-Ekiti was used as a military camp by the Benin soldiers sometime around the early 1800s when Benin army with their allies from Esan and Ikere led by the Ogoga of Ikere invaded some Eastern Yoruba communities. (Read up more on the Akure-Benin War on Wikipedia or elsewhere online).
Akure, Ikere-Ekiti, parts of Ado-Ekiti, Aramoko-Ekiti, Igede-Ekiti, etc, also came under fierce invasion by the Benin army and the indigenous warriors of these communities especially of Ado Ekiti and Akure fought bravely. These areas did have Benin influences though in terms of trade and settlement. There were also large Yoruba trading settlements in the Benin kingdom just like Benin trading settlements existed in Yorubaland.
Akure has the quarters called "Akure Ado" which is where those who came from Edo (Benin) settled after the Benin invasion before and after the Benin invasion of Akure on 1818. The Ado Akure are Yorubanized and have Yoruba names though, but they still have their family houses in Benin and intermarried with the indigenous Akure people after the Benin invasion of Akure in the early 1800s (1818 to be precise like I earlier stated).
Danand1: 😀, Yoruba are just coming up with different versions of where Oduduwa comes from just to cover the fact that he comes from another kingdom, * they say he was the one that creat the world after obatala was sent to the do so but drank palm wine on the way *They also said he came from mecca or Egypt *Now they are claiming he is from oke ora.. This inconsistency in history really shows Yoruba really don't now much about where Oduduwa comes from, they are just cooking up stories to sooth themselves
Did you read my post well to understand? I took time off to clearly explain this to you because you tagged me and didn't pass insults which is how things should be... That is the way to exchange intellectual ideas
I will explain again here with more examples.
The Oke Ora origin of Oduduwa is a well-known FACT for centuries now and it is NOT a new knowledge and this is why every Ooni who is about to be crowned for centuries now has to go to Oke Ora which is 8 kilometres away from Ile Ife (Ufe) as part of the coronation rites.
Oke means "hill or hills" in Yoruba language and Ora is the names of a Yoruba deity.
So, the descent of Oduduwa from his original home in Oke Ora is depicted in the Ifa religious rites as an allegory of Oduduwa coming from the "sky." So, Oke or Hill is represented allegorically as a Sky.
The Mecca or Egypt story is NOT recognized even in Ife (Ufe). It is the Islamic or Muslim attempt or fabrication to explain Oduduwa's origin that led to that nonsense Mecca story. That history is not recognized at all by Ife indigenes and other Yoruba kingdoms that have links with the Oduduwa Dynasty.
There are top secrets that exist between Ife and other Yoruba or Yoruba-associated kingdoms such as Benin kingdom that the average people don't know. How many people knew that every 3rd Oba of Benin had his head brought to Ife for burial at a place called Orun Oba Ado until it was stopped in the late 1890s? Orun Oba Ado in Yoruba means (the Heaven of Oba of Benin grove).
The Orun Oba Ado grove burial in Ife signifies the burial of the head in the paternal lineage in Ife while the rest of the body of the Oba of Benin was buried in Benin kingdom because the maternal lineage of the Obaship Dynasty is from Benin (Egor). These things were done top secret and this is why a lot of people were surprised to read about it.
In any event, let us leave those two Palaces of Ife and Benin because they are related ancestrally as family members and they know what they are doing in secret. The Ooni of Ife even said in that video of the visit of the Benin Royal Palace high chiefs that he is always in constant touch by phone with the Oba of Benin and spoke to him the day before.
One thing I like that Prof. Banji Akintoye the great historian stated in an interview a few years ago is that even though the Oba of Benin has a Yoruba paternal lineage from Ife (Ufe), his maternal lineages is Benin and that the Oba is a Benin man ruling over Benin kingdom.
The British Royal family ruling presently is descended from King George I who is a German. He couldn't even speak English language when he came from Germany to become the King of Britain and Elector of Hanover in the year 1714, just 310 years ago.

dre11: Following the exit of Niger Republic alongside Mali and Burkina Faso from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) over the regional bloc stance on military takeovers in these francophone countries, findings by the Nigerian Tribune has revealed that some importers and exporters from landlocked Niger Republic may decide to abandon Nigerian ports for their trans-shipment cargoes.
Recall that Niger Republic, which borders Nigeria from the northern part, in 2023 had pledged to abandon Cotonou Port and start trans-shipping its cargoes through Lekki Port.
The Director General of the Ministry of Transportation at the Niger Republic, Mme Tchima Moustapha had told journalists in January of 2023 during the commissioning of the Lekki Deep Seaport in Lagos that the modern facilities available at the Lekki Deep Seaport have created an alternative for Niger importers to now trans-ship their cargoes through Nigeria instead of Cotonou Port in Benin Republic.
However, speaking with the Nigerian Tribune in the wake of the withdrawal of Niger Republic from ECOWAS, a former National President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Prince Olayiwola Shittu explained that he doesn’t see Niger Republic trans-shipment cargoes coming in through Lekki Port anymore.
According to Prince Olayiwola Shittu, “I don’t see the trans-shipment cargoes of Niger Republic coming in through Lekki Port because of what is going on in ECOWAS. Don’t forget that all the three countries that pulled out of ECOWAS are francophone countries and are landlocked.
“With the withdrawal of Niger Republic from ECOWAS, their importers might be told to also go back to Cotonou Port to mover their trans-shipment cargoes. You know Niger Republic and Benin Republic are both francophone countries. However, Niger Republic will face the backlash more because they depend on Nigeria for electricity and trade. Its an ongoing development that we are watching unfold.”
Also speaking, a former National President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Eugene Nweke explained that from time immemorial, Niger Republic had always preferred Cotonou or Lome for their trans-shipment cargoes.
“The Niger Republic had always preferred to use Lome and Cotonou Ports for their trans-shipment cargoes in the past. Yes, last year they said they will start using Nigeria, but with what is happening in ECOWAS politically today, that promise might no longer be feasible. However, that looks insignificant to me judging by the volume of cargoes that they trans-ship, which is very low,” Chief Eugene Nweke explained.
Ishilove: Which kind of yeye, archaic tradition is this??
Ishilove, how's it going? Did you know that even in your darling Ukwuani area of Anioma, the Oro type of festival exists just like in Ikorodu and elsewhere among the indigenous Yoruba folks of Nigeria, Benin Republic, and Togo? I got to know this from a well-educated woman who is also from Ukwuani but based in Lagos. She's okay with it though because it's part of the culture that has existed for centuries. As long as nobody gets killed, or injured and it's done for only a day with the restrictions at night, their space or boundaries should be respected.
The Japanese, Chinese, etc, still strongly celebrate their languages, cultural values and indigenous religions as of today and they are technologically advanced now.

wwwihy: The Minister of Works, Sen. Dave Umahi, on Saturday in Lagos, flagged off the demolition of a section of the Landmark Beach, the Mami Chula Beach Lifestyle, to give way to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway
Umahi began the demolition after he inspected kilometres 13, 16 and 20 to ensure the most economical and viable way to access the coastal roads without much damage.
He noted that the demolition was necessary since the landmark centre was located on the Federal Government’s Right-of-way.
He stressed that several structures would be affected by the demolition, adding that compensation would be provided.
Umahi said, “So with the utmost fear of God, gratitude to God Almighty and the commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in our infrastructural development agenda in particular, I wish to flag off this demolition.
”It’s in a right-of-way within the coastal corridor which is the legitimate right-of-way of the Federal Government.
“Before the flag off of the demolition of the landmark, I graciously increased the grace period by another seven days and yet another four days and here we are because the project stopped because of lack of demolition.
“And I want to commend the likes of Bolaji, incidentally from kilometre zero to four from what I’m seeing, he is the only one that is majorly affected. That’s the only infrastructure I can see that is affected.”
The Minister, who acknowledged that some people were opposed to the project, insisted that it was necessary for economic development.
He assured those affected by the demolition that they would be adequately compensated, adding that documentation would start between May 2 and May 3.
Umahi also assured that he would be available throughout the week to address any confirmation or payment issues related to the demolition.
Responding, the Chief Executive Officer, Mami Chula Beach, Mr Bolaji Ariyo, acknowledged the project’s necessity for development, even when it causes inconvenience for a small number of people.
He said, “We all hope this is the renewed hope that we all clamoured for, during the campaign, we all prayed for development in Nigeria.
“And some of us have so much belief in Mr President that he will do it well, and this is an opportunity.
“For example, I’m a Lagosian and this is also a development that has been set down for a very long time. It is good that Mr President is doing that right now.
“It is unfortunate. We all prayed for development, and in every development, some people pay the price and sacrifice for the development.
“You might be wondering why I’m talking like this, maybe because I was also on the other side before, so, I understand what governance means.
“I understand when a government is promising to make life easy for the entire Nigerians.
”Some of us are affected, no doubt about it, but those of us affected are not up to 0.1% of the millions of people that will enjoy the coastal roads.
“That’s why people like me, have taken it to heart to also support Mr President and the honourable minister to ensure that this road comes to life.”

You sound like a scammer who feels threatened that another scammer will soon take all the customers.
You're probably an old scammer with a new 2024 account because your old one must've been exposed.
Oga, I'm one of those who preaches death penalty to scammers and fraudsters even if you're my younger brother.
Also, if you know the number of people who are in my DM willing to pay me to mentor them in crypto and other things, but I decline, you won't post this.
I know it feels like I'm gonna steal your potential victims, but trust me, other people's money have NEVER moved me.
If you keep all the money in the world in my house, come back 20 years later you'll still see them there. In life, there are people who were born into integrity and they'll die with it. You're not in that category, so you can't relate.
You're attacking me because you have a motive. Those who have been with me here for years don't attack me, but a rebranded scammer or potential scammer with a February 2024 account is already feeling threatened and bossy.
There are two ways of trading futures.
1. Highest leverage with small money, but extra money as backup to avoid liquidation 2. Small leverage (x2-x7) with big money
You choose the one that works for you. In your case, you're doing number 2, but in my case, it's number 1 and occasionally number 2.
So, rest, I won't take your clients. My reputation is more important than money. If I want to sell a service today, people go rush am cuz the trust has been built.
Everyday, I get messages from people around the world that I even struggle to reply them all.
Also, every class I have ever conducted on Nairaland and on WhatsApp for more than 5 years now, I did everything for free.
The only time I charge money is when people don't value these free things. In that case, I put them in a book and sell.
Below is a message of someone from another country who wants to buy all my books. I get these messages a lot and some times, I even forget to reply.
Imagine running away from money even though I'm among the poorest people in the world. 😂
So, rest. I won't take your clients. I'm the definition of "Too Contented to Steal."
We'll start monitoring your movements on this thread, cuz you've indirectly exposed yourself. (I don't even have the time self—na mouth I just dey make. Who wan waste him precious time dey monitor you? Mtcheew).
Less than 3 months of being on Nairaland, you already have your Telegram address and a scammy website people can click on and probably get their details stolen on your profile.
Why the rush? Something that took me years to add on my profile, you did it immediately. There is something sinister behind such desperation.
If you're coming for a banter, it will take the second coming of the Almighty for me to dignify you with a second reply.
Whatever you say, you're right and I'm always wrong, so rest—you've won.
iLegendd: I use LBank to trade shîtcoin and most of them are already doing numbers since the 5 green day purchase some days ago.
I love to wait, but I'm taking profit from those ones that have already done 100+% in a day, since the 12th of April.
Slerf, Degen, Mew, Brett, but Roost isn't impressive yet. Those are the 5 coins I trade the most on LBank. Risky coins, but massive rewards.
In each exchange, I focus mostly on just 5 coins.
The position ( 8 ), in the picture below doesn't mean I'm trading 8 coins on LBank. It's 4 but after they were in profit, I decided to hedge them to maintain my profit and analyse the direction to close and the direction to leave.
In most cases, when I'm hedging in profit, I wait for something disastrous or amazing to happen to any of the directions before I close the one in profit while letting the one at loss to regain itself.
The purpose of this post is just to remind you to stay organised and always remember the 3 best times to buy if you really want to enjoy crypto.
While the impatient ones are praying to get back to the exact amount they initially invested, but patient ones who bought at those 3 buying times are already in profit.
Crypto is not a scam (it's a game of smart and dumb), na our impatience be scam. Once in the while, the smart cry too. No one is immune to tears.

Funny enough, it could even be one of these loan apps trying to tarnish her image for defaulting on a loan repayment. The bottom line is, sometimes you need to open up your mind when you come across such things.
I'm on the same page you in terms of your first paragraph. This attached graphic design looks fake to me.
We may advise everyone to be sure they want a relationship before going into one, but having someone who is always there for you makes life so much easier. If you have a “babe” or a bobo, the norm is to give them sweet nicknames like honey, sweetie, sugar boo and the like.
If you’re someone who doesn’t like the conventional pet names out there, here are some romantic Yoruba words you can use as a pet name for your other half:
1. Ife mi
This means “my love” and can be used for both a bobo and sisi.
2. Ododo mi
Guys, if you think your bae is super precious to you, calling her “my flower” will convey that to her.
3. Onitemi
No word says “mine” in a romantic way like Onitemi.
4. Ololufe
If your bae is your only lover, then “ololufe” is the pet name to use. You can even use Wande Coal’s Olulufe as your bae’s special ringtone!
5. Ayanfe
When you have chosen to love someone with all your heart, Ayanfe is the perfect pet name for them.
6. Arewa
Is your girlfriend/wife the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen? Then you can nickname her Arewa.
7. Aya mi
Forget the Iyawo wa that Yoruba demons and their friends have corrupted. Go for Aya mi which means “my wife”.
8. Olowo ori mi
Ladies, thrill your man by calling him “olowo ori mi”. You’re basically calling him the one who paid your brideprice aka husband. If you call your boyfriend this, he will just take the hint!
9. Orekelewa
There is a beauty that surpasses all other beauties. If your girl is in this class, then Orekelewa would be the perfect pet name for her.
10. Ade ori mi
Sometimes when you start dating someone, everything in your life falls into place. If this is you, then the best pet name for your blessing aka partner is ade ori mi (my crown).
If you have other pet yoruba names you call your bae or Bobo you can kindly drop em.
AyobamiOluwole: So this girl has been coming to my place, eat the best food and all that. I've asked her if she has a boyfriend and she said no. I do give her money without asking her for anything on return because I could see she is not the lazy type and she is really hardworking. I am very much ok with finances and I see no issues with some of her demands.
Yesterday I called her and told her that I'm not happy and that I need cuddle only and not sex(I lost so much Dollars from futures trading that night). She later called and said she will come to my place for that reason. In my mind I was thinking this will go down as sex and all, but I don't really want sex.
All I just needed is someone to cuddle and get distracted with that's all. This is the only time I am demanding something from her.
So she came during the evening time, and later that night we went to supermarket and I got her something's to eat at home for the night. We got back home and everything was going well. We were both on the bed when I reminded her why she came. This is someone I've been doing quite a lot for without even thinking twice out of pity. She wouldn't give in and wouldn't let me know why she can't just allow me to cuddle her.
Mehn, from the loss I had earlier and all that, I got infuriated and called another girl telling to pls come over for the night. Then I told this girl to leave my house since she can be that selfish. I sent her out of my house around 10pm. She was telling me she doesn't have money to go home, I didn't care and I shut my door against her. Though I was scared letting her out on that road and that time of the night but my anger got the better part of me. It was later after getting over the whole thing I confirmed nothing happened to her from someone else.
Pls is there anything wrong with what I did?
Modified: Anger is a bad thing. I am wrong sending her away at that time of the night. This is probably the judgement I'll get 😔
An interesting thread with brutally honest feedbacks.
Mindlog: Though this is another tales by moonlight by OP but for such real life situation, the bigger problem is the "enjoy my hobbies with different hook up girls of my choices....to cope, I've been spending a significant amount (around 50k) on hotel stay and I do this like four times in a week"...Hypersexuality is a mental health condition.
"Hypersexuality" is another term for being a male "nymphomaniac." You reckon the dude has a mental illness?
frozen70: . No sensible man drives his parents away from a home he built for whatever reasons
Just rent an apartment anywhere you want and since your sex drive is higher as four times a week
Rent an apartment for that purpose and furnish it to your taste and stay their to play your game whenever it's game time
You can still be leaving with your parents if you wish to still have them around you
So that means you will now be having two apartments which is very ok for you
Untill you are ready to settle down and start your own family
The OP didn't state that his sex drive is as high as 4 times a week. In any event, 4 times a week ISN'T a high sex drive for a young male.
Sex done 7 times OR more a week would be considered very high... OR when a dude's daily attention is constantly interrupted by the thoughts of having sex.
In any event, you largely made valid points in your summations here.
Mostly just melon. I would have liked to plant water melon but I couldn't get it at the time. So, I bought and planted few seeds of hybrid water melon (like 100 seeds in total) at a cost of 4500 naira, too costly. The rest is plain melon (egusi)
No irrigation. Just this scanty rainfall so far.
That was before. IBEDC is in serious mess at the moment, it is mostly darkness 24/7.
Thanks for the very detailed feedback here.
I didn't realize the other "melon" you were referring to is "Egunsi." It's a good combo you have there with hybrid water melons and melon (Egunsi). I once read about Egunsi and it's in very high demand in the Nigerian Diaspora and in Nigeria as well, so, you are good to go if it's for resale.
Lastly, I want to make a suggestion from my business intel of many years now that you should look into getting off-grid micro-hydro or mini-hydro turbine generators that can serve the purpose of generating electricity and for farm irrigation in your current location if you have a source of flowing water supply nearby (like a stream or river). Just read up on it online to get a hang on how micro-hydro turbine generators work since off-grid power solutions are the way to go on a global scale.
iwaeda: As acute petrol supply challenges enter its second week, independent marketers have explained that issues that led to the scarcity of the product would take another two weeks to be fully resolved.
Checks around Abuja on Sunday showed that most stations were out of stock with very few major marketers dispensing the product in Abuja city centre. At the suburbs, the few stations opened to motorists jacked up their pump price from N680 per litre to N870 per litre.
Speaking to Vanguard on the situation, the Public Relations Officer, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, Chief Chinedu Ukadike said the product was not available in-country.
Chief Ukadike blamed the acute shortage in supply of importation bottlenecks and the slow pace of marketers licence renewal by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA.
He disclosed that only 1,050 marketers out of 15,000 have had their licences renewed by the NMDPRA.
He said: “The situation is that there is no product. Once there is lack of supply or inadequate supply, what you will see is scarcity and queues will emerge at filling stations. On the part of NNPCL, which is the sole supplier of petroleum products in Nigeria, they have attributed the challenge to logistics and vessel problems.
“Once there is breech in the international supply chain, it will have an impact of domestic supply because we depend on import. I also have it good authority that most of the refineries in Europe are undergoing turn around maintenance. So sourcing of petroleum products has become a bit difficult.
“NNPC Group CEO has assured us that there will be improvement in the supply chain because their vessels are arriving. Once that is done, normalcy will return. This is because once the 30 days supply sufficiency distrusted, it takes two to three months to restore it. We expect that by next week or so, NNPC should be able to restore supply and with another one week, normalcy should return”.
The challenges faced by marketers in renewing their licences, he said: “NNPC has said the marketers who have not been able to renew their licences will not be allowed to remain on their portal which has been shut for sometime now. Because of this we have not been able to request for new products.
“At this nascent period of deregulation, you will discover that this leads to scarcity even when the product arrives. As it is now, even by their own data, out of 15,000 marketers that are on the portal with licences, only 1,050 renewed their licences. And the requirement for renewal by NMDPRA is so much. Marketers are facing hostile environment. NNPC placed a deadline of April 15, 2024, for marketers to renew their licences.
“We are therefore appealing to NNPC extend this deadline and also to NMDPRA to hasten the release of marketers licences who have completed their processes, and also reduce the bottlenecks around licence renewals”.
maasoap: The journey started towards the end of February when I started the clearing of the yet to be developed 5 plots of land around my house. I have two reasons for doing this: One: to push the busy around my house back Two: to get me busy every morning before I go out for the day as I actually have plenty of time on my hand
I equally bought and planted hybrid of water melon among the melon, about 100 seeds for N4500. This was planted middle of March after the first rain.
@Maasoap,
This project is mad cool.
If I get you correctly, did you say in your last paragraph that you planted two different varieties of water melon? I hybrid and the other non-hybrid?
Second, are you depending on any form of irrigation here such as drip irrigation?
Last but NOT least, I read that you folks in Osogbo enjoy 24 hours electricity daily... Is this assertion true?
