EdoGovernor2024: NINE REASONS Why Senator Monday Okpebholo (APC) Will WIN Edo Governorship Election in 2024:
Senator Monday Okpebholo is the Candidate of APC in Edo State Governorship Election 2024. He will WIN the General Election to become the NEW Governor of Edo State in 2024.
The NINE REASONS Why this will be possible are as follows:
1. Senator Monday Okpebholo has TWO Senatorial Districts LOCKED DOWN: Edo Central where he is a Senator/Philanthropist/Popular Politician and Edo North where Oshiomhole is Senator/Edo North MOST INFLUENTIAL Politician.
2. Asue Ighodalo (PDP) is a POLITICAL NOVICE/STRANGER in Esan Land (Edo Central) that CANNOT Speak Esan Language and has DONE NOTHING to help people living in Esan Land.
3. Olumide Apata (LP) is a POLITICAL NOBODY in Edo State.
4. Tinubu will make peace between Oshiomhole, Ize Iyamu, Okpebholo, Dennis Idahosa and other APC stakeholders in Edo State. It is a family affair. APC Members CANNOT Disobey Tinubu who is the EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT of Nigeria and NATIONAL LEADER of APC with ENORMOUS Political Power!!!
5. Philip Shuaibu will return to Oshiomhole like a PRODIGAL Son because he will want to REVENGE (work against) Obaseki for stopping his political ambition of being Governor of Edo State.
6. There is NO permanent enemy in politics; there is only permanent interests in politics.
7. Edo South votes will be shared by APC, PDP and LP. APC will get the MAJORITY VOTES in Edo South.
9. Big Money and Political Power determines who wins elections in Nigeria. The MONEY and POLITICAL POWER of APC (Political Grandmaster President Tinubu and All APC Governors) is MORE THAN the Money and Political Power of PDP (Governor Obaseki and All PDP Governors).
For these Nine Reasons listed above it is VERY CLEAR that Senator Monday Okpebholo (APC) will WIN Edo State Governorship Election in 2024.
Your Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, CONGRATULATIONS in Advance!!!
Those are interesting permutations about Edo State's geopolitics. May the better candidate win in Edo State between the top 3 contenders: Sen. Monday Okpebholo, Asue Ighodalo, and Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, SAN.
By the way, I find this video that was earlier posted on the NL frontpage of Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, SAN, to be very melodious.
senatordave1: Tbh honest, obaseki has natural wisdom but the forces against him are too much.pdp may win actually but APC obviously has the advantage.apc biggest weakness is oshiomhole who is aggrieved and denco.but most of the stakeholders that supported sen Monday are oshiomhole people and the presidency can easily reconcile them.already almost all the aspirants have accepted the results. Compared to pdp which has obaseki camp, shuaibu camp and orbih camp.out of 10 aspirants,9 are heavily aggrieved.pdp national cannot settle them.there is a reason why obaseki went to beg wike.edo politics is peculiar but not unpredictable. The coming of akpata is not good for pdp.at least APC has Edo north in advance, central and south are open.the next step is who will be running mate
You're a very good political analyst. I like the way you break the geopolitical variables down for anybody who isn't originally from Edo State to understand.
senatordave1: You claim to be neutral but your analysis are somewhat tilted towards pdp always.those examples you gave does not apply na.diri had everything going for him, sylva did not.firstly, sylva miscalculated by contesting instead of fielding lyon.secondly,APC was divided.lyon and lokpobiri faction indirectly supported diri while pdp were united.there was no federal might as sylva isn't really pro tinubu.very importantly, gej has a feud with sylva and he endorsed diri.this tied the hands of tinubu and swayed votes.agsin, diri is a sitting gov and they are the hardest to beat when going for reelection
Lol,how can you compare a toy like osibanjo with a mighty tinubu? It seems you don't know tinubu.tinubu owns APC.that was primary self. Binani is pro Atiku na and a lot of pro tinubu people like ribadu worked against her.again, fintiri is a performer.i don't think Abuja was involved if not she would have won fufore and girei. I don't understand how Kano and plateau came in.from the presidential result in Kano,it was obvious that gida will win.for plateau,a lot of people hate lalong.secondly,he imposed his cousin which divided the party.the difference was from mangu lga.
Now,Dickson with all his political might couldn't impose diri until the court intervened.tambuwal same thing.and both of them almost lost their reelections.a governor that struggles to win reelection cannot impose a successor.bello own was an inter tribal gangup against igalas...
Oga, obaseki is not a politician.he doesn't have what it takes to deliver asue ighodalo another novice.even his own reelection,it took so much struggle.wike put in some efforts, shuaibu stood with him, buhari cabal supported him indirectly,he used the anti godfatherism slogan.now, wike and shuaibu are against him,he wants to be a godfather he preached against,no buhari cabal to save him.tinubu will want to teach him some lesson.his second term effort is abysmal.so how will he do it? The only thing going for him is asue's rich CV plus the bad state of the country which is making asue popular and the shout for zoning which APC has negated.akpata emergence in lp has also negated hopes of a good victory in Edo south.. Look at obaseki camp, most of them are former oshiomhole boys.how many can deliver their units? Do you think they are happy that obaseki ignored core politicians for an outsider? Morale is low.obaseki is killing Edo pdp.under orbih,Edo went to pdp in presidential and nass but obaseki reversed all that.
peacettw: Awwww. Recently watched the movie "Queen of Katwe" last week. A movie produced by Disney in 2016 on slum kids from Uganda who learnt how to play chess..... starring Lupita Nyongo. Loved the movie. It was truly inspirational. I guess this idea came from the movie. Well done
One thing I love about this guy is that Yoruba cap. It is Goated!!
Indeed, the gobi cap gave him that exotic, mafioso look while he was playing the royal game of chess at Times Square in New York. Very iconic-looking viral photographs of him were published in the global media while the chess marathon was going on.
joywendy: The Chess in Slums Initiative is a Non- profit organization aimed at using the noble game of chess to help youngsters in slum communities realize their full potential by integrating principles of the game with management of daily challenges in life, enhancing abstract thinking, creativity and innovation.
This initiative was founded by National Master Tunde Onakoya, a passionate chess player/coach who strongly believes that chess can be wielded as a powerful tool to change the world.
He says the game changed his life and he is trying to use it to help the children in the slums as he also came from there.
Recently, He did a short documentary with BBC Africa about the purpose of the Initiative and how it has improved the lives of some of the children there. Some of the children have even gotten scholarships to study. Most of their scholarships came from social media, with some users asking how they can contribute to the project.
This short documentary have gone viral over a space of a few days, with Popular online platforms like Bellanaija writing a short piece on the documentary Here is the link to the documentary by BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-47499618
Bump.
Tunde Onakoya and the royal game of chess. A Chess Master to the world.
lalasticlala: Adeoye Fawaz is currently worth two million naira.
He also bought Android phones for the "Area boys" and took them out to Banana island yesterday, 23rd of December.
Tunde is currently single but he hopes to enter a relationship by the end of this year or probably next year. He wants to activate his lovelife once again as he has been emotionally unavailable for the longest time due to his project. Also, his mother has given him a deadline to bring someone back home.
A teenage boy from the slums of Isale Odo in Ikorodu yesterday, is a 27year old man doing his best with his team to take as many children as they can, out of slums communities in Nigeria, today.
The legend! The hero! The record breaker. A true Son of the soil. Ogun State welcomes you.🫡💪🎉🎉🎉
Thank you @DapoAbiodunCON, it was a befitting homecoming.
That's impressive.
I guess Tunde's Onakoya family name is from the Ogun State section of Ijebuland NOT the Lagos State section of Ijebuland... Okay, I just checked online, indeed he is from Ago-Iwoye in Ijebuland. "Omo Ogun" to the royal chess world.
He looks quite emotional in that photograph. Tunde's background story from childhood is surreal and an emotionally touching one so I can understand.
santaclaws: They can leave. Their main reason is reduced sales according to them and Nigeria is just leaving a recession, coupled with our fight against inflation. They're not the only ones who experienced a plunge in sales, a lot of Nigerians were forced to cut down on their expenditure and it affected businesses.
This is why the govt must support indigenous businesses cos all these foreign businesses have no real stake in the country. Once they can't maximise profit, they jet out. Only local businesses can bear with the country through hard times, just like BUA cement & Air Peace...
These protests are indeed gaining momentum on U.S. campuses. Same kinda protests rocked the U.S. back in the 1960s in protest against military drafts and the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.
But what has to be done has got to be done to bring a semblance of peace to that region of the Middle East. I ONLY see a military solution to this situation that'll drag on for sometime as long as Iran continues to supply her proxies such as Hamas, the Houthis, Hezbollah, etc, with weapons such as drone, missiles, and other forms of military logistics.
grandstar: I travelled to England in 1983 but i was then in primary 5. I sometimes feel old here.
I am GenX. Are you a Baby boomer?
That's interesting @Grandstar.
In reality, there are many of us OGs still here on NL since 2005. Some of us folks just choose to fly below the radar atimes. I'm actually a GenX. There are "Baby Boomers" here as well. You must have flown to England back in 1983 from Lagos via the iconic British Caledonian and landed in Gatwick Airport which was the main airport hub that British Caledonian used instead of Heathrow Airport.
It's good to relieve those events from time to time to gain perspectives as we head on into the future with "disruptive innovation" in mind.
I want to visit a country outside West Africa where I will need a visa to visit from Nigeria. This is mainly for knowledge and tourism purposes.
I wanted to visit South Africa (to see Mandela's house) or Egypt (to tour the Great Pyramids of Giza).
However, I have seen lots of negative reviews from Nigerians who complain that Egypt and South African embassies in Nigeria always delay their visa processing. Whereas they promise to process their visas in weeks, they don't get responses in months.
Please what country would you recommend? I want to know countries I don't have to wait for long to get their decision or those that won't reject my visa application.
Do you still consider South Africa and Egypt good options and why?
First off, Rwanda (The capital city and environs). Second, Mauritius. Third, Morocco. Fourth, Kenya. Fifth, Tanzania (Zanzibar).
However, if you ever decide that you want to visit a West African country for the purpose of tourism, then go to Cote d'Ivoire. Abidjan is a well-planned commercial city with wide boulevards right from the Felix Houphoet-Boigny International Airport to the city centre with the very neat environment. I first visited Cote d'Ivoire in 1988 by air and I instantly fell in love with the country. Abidjan is often referred to as the Paris of Africa.
NB* : This thread isn't created for banter or insults, but just to register my disagreement to the other thread.
For those who are busy and multitasking on a job, VN is actually a very important means to send a message across without having to edit, delete and do all that, when you can just open a voice record and say what you need to say and send.
And then if I need to communicate my feeling to the receiver at the other end, VN is the best tool. Not to mention those who might have lost a limb, how do you expect them to type a lengthy message?.
I so much believe that VN on any platform is a very good invention.
Indeed, it's an innovative invention. VN sound clarity and brevity are very important for proper two-way engagements.
A little bit of emotional intelligence, patience and effective communication between the couple would have prevented this. True... Some women have mouths that spit fire when they feel offended but there are ways a real masculine OG can tame them and they'll come back to apologize to you. Conversely, if a woman wants to continue to prove obstinate with a lot of drama, she'll have to walk out of the door and kick rocks.
The 48-year-old Olubunmi Abegunde allowed his ego and rage to overwhelm him. What's done is done... Nothing can bring Taiwo his 41-year-old wife back.
chopnaira: Propaganda and everything is Lagos Lagos Lagos. They hate the way Lagos is progressing.
In the South East. Ibos prevented people from voting PDP and APC.
Some people were even killed in the SE. Including one of the brothers of a famous Nollywood star all because he supported APC.
Let's also not forget how Ibos were moving enmasse to Lagos just to vote in the last election. I don't understand their obsession and covetous behavior of another state in a region not theirs.

If na AirPeace now, helanus and his fellow tribal jingoists for don flood nairaland.
Just so you now... In 2019, the same skidding or overshooting off the runway also happened to Air Peace in Port Harcourt as a result of heavy rains. This happens in the aviation industry from time to time.
nlfpmod: When five armed men come stark naked to your house late at night, and cut off your power before they attack, there's absolutely no plan for mercy. Thank God for solar power and CCTV.
This is not my house, and didn't happen recently. The video was sent to me on 23-10-2022 as part of security consciousness training regarding the use of solar power, security doors, and CCTV in Nigeria.
I'm deleting old files from my device and thought to share.
NoniblaqStore: Na everything be armed robbery for Nigeria. Why will 5 able men enter a business premises naked ? Why post a video from 2022 in 2024? Omo the story long. Meanwhile I sell quality vintage shirts at a give away prize. See my thread for details
Whew! So, it wasn't a recent "naked" episode but from 2022.
nlfpmod: Tomorrow is the groundbreaking of Asba's 1.6million Tons/Annum Lithium Ore Separation Plant & 6MW Power Plant, a whopping $50 million investment. 1,200 jobs to be created. A big Congratulations to my brother @Adasaini and his team. May Allah continue to bless your Hustles, Ameen!
Sanusi Dantata
That's an impressive move that entails value addition... Way to go.
sugah: Photo: Meet the first ever female Nigerian helicopter Captain.
History was made today when Captain Abimbola Jayeola (Captain AB) became Nigeria's first ever female Helicopter Captain. She flies the sikorsky S76 for Bristow helicopters Nigeria. Here's a photo of her being decorated with her commanders epaulets. Congrats to her...
Bump.
That's very impressive... This is just 10 years ago as of 2014. These facts have to be properly documented in aviation history.
Oh, wow! Captain Abimbola Jayeola indeed set the pace for other young female copter pilots such as the FIRST-EVER female combat helicopter pilot in the Nigerian Air Force, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile (13th December 1995 to 14th July 2020) to follow.
