I think there is nothing wrong in it if she says it in a polite manner... First of all,if your wife normally washes the dishes herself,you have to understand the situation she was in at that particular time...... Secondly,she's your wife,so from the tune she used in asking you to help wash the dishes,you should be able to tell if she's being manipulative or asks it in form of a favour... Thirdly,from your wife's behaviour,you should be able to decide.. Is she the respectful type.
