pocohantas: She made good points. My own is, own your shit and stop blaming people/religion, because you can never please humans, they must talk.
On frontpage now, there is a thread on a woman who died from abortion and people are asking why a woman of that age would be having abortion.
Have your child and train him/her. When they are done talking, they will move to the next gist.
Someday I will get to understand why the gender that claims to gain nothing from marriage is always angry to see single women/babymamas. Women need to start taking charge of their decisions. Personally, the order of priority for a woman is children, money and husband. She has the resources, if the latter doesn't come ,why should she waste her biological clock waiting for a man when she can have a child and live her life. Nigerians carry marriage for head like gala, I am just glad alot of women are setting their priority straight. Not everyone is destined to meet a life partner, so why deprive yourself of the joy of motherhood because of that? |

Franzinni: The problem is you are populating the world with fatherless bastards ...in my humble opinion... I hope you get to read this.go and see black america and understand why it's necessary to keep your legs closed or better still use a condom .... A child is not a lassa also or a chiwawa. Your leaders that have fathers and looting your funds to store in your colonial masters lands are what? the numerous human parts sellers lurking in your country don't have fathers? even fathers are raping their daughters, the drug dealing Nigerians being executed every now and then outside Nigeria don't have fathers?, the kidnappers ravaging this country don't have fathers? the cultists killing each other daily don't have fathers? So tell me one thing pertaining to the black american society that is not here already despite not having high number of in your words "bastards". |

hucknall: We should legalize killing of babies? Mumu, commit abortion and see if you won't end up like her. Nonsense on a Monday morning! Typical reasoning of a third world occupant. For a country that sells human parts ,you have no moral ground to open your gutter mouth and leprosy infested fingers to point at anybody. Maybe if they had legally aborted terrorists ravaging your country, your nonsense country would have been better for it. Idiotic fellow. |

Neutralobserver: You run into the problem of access to proper care. and the issue of there being enough properly trained staff...because all these illegal clincis are run by people who are not well trained and who cause a lot of damage that has to be fixed in proper hospitals.
The sad thing is that we don't have enough properly tranied doctors and nurses in this country, as well as enough healthcare facilities.
So legalizing abortion is meaningless if the potential person who needs it lives in a village miles away from the nearest proerly equipped health care center.
Well, sex education and contraception access does work....it has reduced unwanted pregnancies in the US for example.
Also, it is legal to teminate ectopic pregnancies and 'life threateing pregnancies' in Nigeria...what is not legal is abortion on demand. Where do you think the ones in the "village " get their abortions done for the time being? Why have you not thought of what regulation will bring instead of sticking to negativity?. Do you think first world countries have abortion clinics littered everywhere to require a battalion of staff that makes you think Nigeria doesn't have the capacity to supply such human resources? Have you even given it a thought about the upside of "regulation"?. The cases of evacuations and abortions done in designated hospitals today for life threatening pregnancies ,are the doctors and staff spirits?. Abortion didn't start today, from using hangers in the 70s and 80s ,to pills to illegal evacuation, shouldn't we have the conversation of safe abortion and come to terms that women will have need to have abortions and making it illegal will not stop women from getting it. But then again ,a hypocritical country like Nigeria ,so religious ,yet so dark will always want to appear saints and point fingers. |
Crime › Re: Man Arrested For Procuring Abortion For His Girlfriend In Lagos (Picture) by Ladycewhy(f): 7:57am On Apr 12, 2021 |
Neutralobserver: Legalising abortion is very easy, until you get to the bit about 'are there enough trained staff to perform the abortion'?
In the US and UK , abortion is legal...and both countries have adequate emergency services, and enough trained obstetrician/ganecologist. Unlike Nigeria where we don't even have enough doctors as a whole....before we dey talk about specialists.
For now, widespread promotion of contraception and sex educaiton may be the best method. What happens to the people that wants an abortion? There are already illegal abortion clinics set up across the the country, unregulated, not taxed ,some are even disguised as labs and pharmacies. While we are on the "promotion of contraception and sex education "campaign, will people stop getting pregnant? if that were the case the west that introduced sex education and contraception will not have need to attend to abortion cases since they know it so well save for etopic pregnancy cases and other forms of life threatening pregnancies. |
