frankly , am supsrided barca didnt have it easy against celtic both at nou camp and at celtic. if madrid struggled against dortmund, fair enuf, barca shld have beaten celtic or at least a draw. well the match doesnt count much. the knock out stage is when the real champions league begins.........

Rastamann: It is a matter of choice. With a Ph.D one will get a lecturing job at least in a tertiary institution in Nigeria but the salary may be a dis-incentive.
exactly, there is no way u have a phd in naija and u wont get a lecturing job, bsc holders are even assistant lecturers. for someone to spend 6 years in nigeria studying a phd and then applies for a truck driving job is shocking. where the hell did he get the resources to undergo the phd. yes no big deal abt bsc and MSCs but phd, please. those phd holders need to be flogged except they got the phd so easily from those vietnam universities

Family › Re: A Father's Case Against Breast-feeding by lafuria1(m): 12:20pm On Nov 02, 2012
the man only did what was best for his wife and child since the wife couldnt breastfeed the child properly. he was just highlightig the advantages of bottle feeding his child. he made some valid point that is more realistic in the west.
infedility as a side effect was a latter observation, seeing the bossom of his wife still nrml. his point is simple which is a woman becomes less attractive to aman when her bossom eventually succumb to the downward pull of gravity caused by breastfeeding
but ofcourse his theory is wrong because anything that goes up must come down at anytime.

cheers......... grin

Kx: Delta State provided a highly subsidized alternative just like Akwa Ibom b4 they went ahead to ban okada.

Dont this governors do peer review? Why was Fash's case different?
there have been keke napep in lagos for long time since buba marwa administration, reason y its sometimes nicknamed keke marwa and many of it as well, if lagos want more, that wont b a problem. lagos have a BRT buses already. so what alternatives are there? as for me i dont like the idea of banning okadas.

Politics › Re: Boko-Haram Attacks Arik Aircraft In Maiduguri by lafuria1(m): 6:48pm On Oct 23, 2012
Pamperme: Just got this on my bbm. Arik Air's official statement on the issue. I hope this clears our minds.

No bomb on Arik Air flight
There is no iota of truth in the rumour making the rounds that a passenger attempted to bomb an Arik Air aircraft operating a flight from Maiduguri to Abuja today, Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
To set the records straight, a passenger on board flight W3 812 from Maiduguri to Abuja caused a scare when he started shouting Allah Akbar shortly before the aircraft landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The frightened passengers on board the flight became suspicious thinking the man was about to do something sinister.
All the passengers on board the flight, including the man in question, had all gone through the normal security check at the Maiduguri International Airport and nothing incriminating was found on anyone.
However, when the aircraft landed in Abuja, another security check was conducted on the passenger and nothing incriminating was found on him. A further security search was conducted on the operating aircraft, a Boeing 737-700 NG (Next Generation) and no trace of bomb or explosives were found. The aircraft went back to service immediately.
Arik Air wishes to assure guests that all its flights undergo strict security checks and passengers have nothing to fear. The airline’s Aviation Security Department is one the most sophisticated in the industry and its commitment to security and safety of passengers is second to none in Africa.
The airline just last weekend in Accra, Ghana won the award of the Best Security and Safety Conscious Airline in West and Central Africa.
people please be warned before some pple attack you for no reason, sayin allahu akbar is now a crime in nigeria or else they will aluu u before you explain urself. i guess they only crime of the muslim passenger was saying allahu akbar just before the plane landed out of fear like the christian folks will say blood of jesus.

mentorken05: Everytn about russia z bad news..I soo hate dat country
blame it on hollywood that always paint russians bad. i know countless movies that russians are always the bad guys. the US are the good guys.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Arrests 15 Russian Sailors For Arms Smuggling by lafuria1(m): 4:30pm On Oct 23, 2012
Jamisco: Russia is not a Muslim nation but they are behind all the terrorists and the terrorist nations like iraq, iran, syria, yemen etc.

look at the genocide in syria and is only russia and china that are backing the killings.

the russia is solid behind the muslim nations in other to promote terror in the world since they know that the muslims don't like peace like their father mohammed.
every country have allies and chose sides. the US have been turning blind eyes to wats happining in yemen and baharain because those are allies of the US. Syria is one of the biggest importers of russian arms, its a billion dollars business reason why russia are backing syria. iran does business with russia too for the supply of uranium and jetfighers. russia are only protecting their bussiness alies. did u see russia interfer with the invasion in iraq and libya? they mostly just abstain from voting. same way US support isreal is russia supporting syria.
the killings in syria is a two way thing, the rebels are killing, the govt is killing, u dont expect the government to surrender power just like that.

Crime › Re: 'I Watched Them Kill My Brother' Tekena's Sister (ALUU4) by lafuria1(m): 5:21pm On Oct 12, 2012
there are various stories about people who stopped a mob beating at great risk to themselves. Not something that's easy. And the police are the ones who have the basic responsibility in such situations, apart from the various home training received in different kinds of homes.

the woman shouting "die "die", for example, will definitely raise her child to be a cold blooded killer with no human feeling.

there was a link i posted earlier with a story of how someone saw a thief being pursued by a mob, accuse a bystander of being the thief, just in order to get away quickly. The mob turned on the bystander and nearly beat him to death. They were about to roast him (for food?) when an old woman who lived in the vicinity, came out and begged for his life.

he was spared within inches of his life.
they spared him because of an old woman they respect.
agree with u.my point is stoping a mob action is not as easy as some plle here are presnting it. i witness one in lagos, a hit and run taxi driver. he was chased down by 2 boys on okada, the were able to stop d driver, ask him to come down and they started beating him. his passenger just came out, held his hand on the head i was looking (in a very bad mood). may one not witness a mob action.
Crime › Re: 'I Watched Them Kill My Brother' Tekena's Sister (ALUU4) by lafuria1(m): 4:55pm On Oct 12, 2012
please tell me how do you want her to convince the mob that her brother is innocent. when the father of one of the victim says his wasnt a theif, a couple of people here says the father doesnt know his soon. i just want know HOW she could convice a crowd that already belief the boys were theives. whatever she does will be seen as just a blood relative attempt to rescue her brother. and beside the mob were illitrate.
if she shouts and goes naked or mad, people wud look and say eyya na the sister dey cry or don go mad b dat.
tell me just a fight in ur locality, how do u separate a fight.
if u have ever stop a mob beating, we would like to know how you did it. pple would learn..
