2 Corinthians 4:6
for He commands light to shine out of darkness

I have always posited that darkness existed before light (nothing before something) maybe not from a Biblical Perspective, but with this verse I know i have got the Biblical angle covered. Thanks

King David, Solomon, Moses etc even the most blessed are taunted with SIN and TEMPTATION, Jesus Christ also passed through this experience, How did he handle it?

With Maturity and the Knowledge that it bears no value (SIN results in Death) to your life

@posters,I assume you are all religious and read your Holy Books with Wisdom where Clarity becomes the only Truth.

It is often common to take statements out of context, to replace literal with allegory and vice-versa. I don't subscribe to Theology (A weird science of sorts) but we as mature Human beings must seek enlightenment for the purpose revelation not seeking to argue for or against an Agenda.

The gathering of Knowledge is the first step to intellectual growth but it is the acquisition of WISDOM that births unique insight from gathered knowledge to conceive Technological Innovations, Even Witches of old gathered Knowledge and gained the Wisdom to use such knowledge in ways never thought of

@e36991 I stand corrected Tree of Knowledge (Good and Evil) just following the train of thought that God gave clear instructions that they should not eat from the Tree of Knowledge Alone in the entire Treedom. So we have one "Good" Tree and One "Good and Evil" My question to you is - To what purpose?

Notice the question marks at the end of Evil it is not a statement but a query open-ended

Just a niggling thought, why is good Good and evil Evil. but on the real, IMHO such definitions or perceptions are fluid and based man's notions of ideology (by way of philosophy or based on faith or religious instruction) that defines the standards used to measure such concepts. Perhaps it is simply a built-in (genetic) behavioral quality that humans are sensitive to (good) or insensitive to (evil)

Questions as this one perplexes my thinking and most times written language falls short of explaining my mind exactly so pardon the floundering. I will take time to gather my thoughts and put them into simple expression; perhaps another thread Is God the Origin of Evil but for now i will default to a much more digestible tidbits about the origin of evil from the Bible. Please drift with my analogy awhile as the Bible is oft criticized as a ludicrously unusual tome of enlightenment.

In Genesis 3 we find the account of Evil a being in the form of a serpent who deceived the first woman into disobeying God. The first account of an “Evil” being (not his intentions) who is capable of deceiving the whole world and who is the very embodiment of malevolence throughout the entire Bible - the inspirer of evil in countless persons and situations across all of human history.

Surely Evil (as generally perceived) pre-dates creation and as we have learned, that it must have existed before the Angels whose existence predates earth and man. Satan (Personification of pure evil) was created with the awareness to conceive Good and Evil so he could not be the origin.

The existence of Evil is in constant contention for the non-existence of God as popularly held by some quarter of non-believers . for me it simply challenges the singularity of God and the Universe.

Methinks clues lie in the NATURE of this Cosmic Entity known as God, If we are created in his image, then it is rational to assume that for each Left Hand, there is a Right Hand and for each breath of Oxygen we breath in, there is Carbon-monoxide to breathe out; for each perfection there is an imperfection, for each Tree of Life (Good), there is a Tree of Knowledge (Evil)
For Good to pre-exist, Evil must be (or following pretty closely behind)

I know it is short of a good reference to discourse but that is my contribution (it is getting late and I cannot use traffic as an excuse)

@posters I think we are having it too emotionally for this Emegwali chap. if we can devote as much negative energies to the claims of intellectual by our existing governors and seatign president, I am sure they will stop making unrealistic claims to providing gainful employment for thousands of youth if only you re-elect them

The guy lied (constructlively) and got away with it for a long while, His singular act may smear our image but not any more than our reckless and scandalous leaders (Past and present) continue to do and they do not care about lying constructively, they lie to your face and rub it in your face with spit to make it stick

Looking at the comments and polls i'd say a lot of Nigerians have relatinship problems.  more than most
1: Jealousy is an indication of insecurity (which is not bad unless it cripples you)
2: Jealousy is a sign of mistrust rather than affection
3: Jealousy breeds violence/hate not peace/love

If a man is jealous in a relationship (outwardly or inwardly) he is having ego issues and feelings of insecurity. that is my Honest Opinion

IMHO the issue of tithes on this forum will never be resolved until God upgrades his collection method.

In the old days you will simply gather-up your harvest and arrange them in a bush-burning bonfire and pray the wafting scent of your first fruits are appealing to God thus the completion of your tithe.

Then came temples and places of worship where you were now instructed to pay in coins rather than fruits and lamb-chops which could not be stored and generally made a mess of the area (since God does not exactly eat the tithes)

Now we have people tithing online, Standing order on their Bank Account, Dangerous tithes etc. Sanusi please focus your reforms heavenly, there should be a holding account that CBN can wire tithes straight to God's account without delays. pronto

3: Are you coming in as a Corporate Entity or an Individual
4: Do you have an existing (or pending-approval) Patent or Registered Trade Mark on your Intellectual Property
5: Was your solution developed while in the employ of another company, Do you have partners engaged on this solution at any stage (Start-Middle-Completion)
6: Do you have a revenue projection and how do you intend to sustain it (what is your targeted market, what is their spending power, what is your competition doing)
7: What is your level (quality) of experience (where have you worked, what are your pre and post-degree achievements)

These are just a few bases to cover
