Same manner El-Rufai destroyed people's property in Abuja (when he was FCT Minister under Obasanjo) using the guise of "Green Area" ... only to allocate same land to his cronies, family members and Girl friends!

God wey make that man "very, very short", will eventually make him blind and impotent.

No need to destroy the buildings, that is if El Rufai himself is not targeting the land for his personal use..... just seize them and give them to the same school that owns the land, to be used as STUDENT HOSTELS!

I doubt they can even abolish it because it is TRADITION and THAT IS HOW IT IS DONE .....though they are under immense pressure now that "internet and phone technology" is trying to expose that which use to be very secret and cultish. undecided undecided

Ride on Mr Mugabe. The treatment you suffered while in Nigeria and Ivory Coast was the handy work of the Wicked Ones.
While l agree with you on the issue of ICC and the need fpr Africa to have its own "Court and Standing Rapid_Response force" to tackle African problem on an international level, l dont want you to "mix-up issues" like politics with it.

Simply put, Mugabe has over-stayed his welcome, he is crazy and because he "bribes and rigs elections" in his country at will, he seems to think they still love him!

Was he not a Chrsitian- one man, one wife?
Monogamy (or serial Polygamy) is a "Western" ideology, it has NOTHING to do with Christianity!

Even the best buddies of God the Father, have more then one wife!

From Pa Abraham who is resting in the bossom of the Lord and also know as "friend of God", to Uncle David who God Himself called "The Apple of my eye", the only person who could do ANYTHING and still get away with it, with God to even Bros Solomon whom God said hehas given wisdom like he had not given any before, whom God ordained to build Him a Temple where he can Chillax...... e.t.c

The "WEST" needed a formula that made "inheritance and sharing of property" EASY...and hence settled for Monogamy.... then criminalized polygamy so as to force Obedience to it even when it was obvious that it is unnatural and therefore being resisted.
.

Ofcourse, it benefits women since men naturally die earlier than women (due to all the wahala/brouhaha of acquiring wealth for the "wife" ) and the "only wife" stands to benefit from such a "greedy arrangement" .......so dont be surprised on realizing that women are monogamy's greatest proponent, even though they are also the "unwanted additional wife".!

But then, the Oyibos' created a "way out": marry, divorce, marry again, divorce again, as many times as you are able to!
Its called serial monogamy. Not different from polygamy except that it preserves the greed of the "one woman" bent on inheriting all the goodies

A maid is a woman.... juts like a wife.
A wife has responsibilities to her husband.
if a wife thinks that a 'maid' can do her responsibilities to her husband, better than her (and then employ her), then what stops the husband from marrying such maid after-all, it is always better to buy a product from "the source"! undecided

Salt that loses its taste is as good as (or useless) as burnt ash.

My advice to such women is to divorce such husband and let him marry the maid.
I dont expect any woman to remain with such a man
That way, she can marry her own "brand new" husband ..... maybe then she would employ another maid and let us see what happens.

You can eat your cake.... and still have it.
You are either a wife ....or just a household chattel. Period!

Hausas and Yorubas are never known to harbour any hatred or pogrom in the last fifty years or even before, for each other

Yes, Northerners are known to be very intolerant of visitors who get very aggressive and encroaching on their native liberties.
Yorubas on the other hand, are very accommodating and friendly, even to the excess of "visitors" within them ...to the extent that Ibos call them cowards!
but the Northerner cannot stand such brazen arrogance, self conceitedness, greed and usually fly-off the handle when provoked.

At least, Hausas or Igbos in The Yoruba-lands are living peacefully and going about their (lawful?) busisness.

Hausas understand, respect and appreciate these things while the average Ibo, in their usual display of insensitivity, crass disrespect and mindlessness arrogance, continue to insult the only tribe that treats them like humans while at the same time foolishly thinking they can INCITE and cause a rift between the Northerners and South Westerners!
The joke is that everyone is wise to that trick and it does not work.

On the other hand, it makes our ibo brothers come across as some evil, manipulative and untrustworthy lot who are only out to cause disharmony, hatred and chaos!

Why have l written the above,?
I think at times, we need to say it as it is, let others appraise us so that we can reflect on who we are.

I feel sorry that Igbos think all these type of actions is what they need to actualize Biafra when in actual fact, they do not realize that excpet they are brave enough to declare a secessionist war on the country (and l bet we all know what will happen if that route is taken), since No one is going to "DROP BAIFRA ON THEIR LAP" like it was some nice Christmas present!

Tact, diplomacy, humility even in the face of strength, alliances, are virtues that get you what you want in this modern world, TO WIN YOUR BATTLES,..........not all these "gra-gra" that annoys others and makes everyone think "well, payback time will soon come around". undecided undecided

But personally, l think Yorubas will always be open to "reconciliation" with those Ibos who have looked themselves in the mirror and then sheath their sword.

Extramarital affairs is part of every man's life! Sometimes,I believe God understands!
God NEVER said a man MUST marry one wife .... so the issue of extramarital affairs is a man-made stuff and has nothing in it for God to even understand .... the "Old man upstairs" is just laughing at our foolishness all the time. grin grin grin
Go and study the Bible and you will see that the men that God LOVES MOST, have more than one wife... from Abraham, to David, to Solomon, e.t.c

But let me add that the loser in a broken marriage/home are the kids simply because in most cases, women who are actually "ill-equipped" (financially, mentally, physically, emotionally, e.t.c) to take care of the children, HOLD_ON to the children just to use them as a weapon against their father and for financial extortion.
The unfortunate thing is that the children end-up being deprived of "fatherly love, instruction and attention", being poorly raised and end up being thugs in most cases (not all cases).

That is where the "man loses" because he could have raised his children to become successful in life yet he has to watch them become low-life, courtesy of women who think divorce turns their ex-husband to an ATM Machine and the children, the "Pin numbers"! grin grin
