It's only stvpidity garnished with ignorance that'll make a Nigerian fly the Israeli flag. That country is a terrorist nation.
Nothing spoil, when they get to their "adopted Israel", those ones will quickly sterilize them, less they become too many and start forming "gra-gra"! grin grin grin

aryzgreat: St Paul, was a jew. He was the greatest Christian! Jesus Disciples were Jews! The early Christians were Jews, Christianity came from the Jews! There is a tie btwn xtians and Jews!
Yes you are right BUT....

*The Jews did NOT believe Jesus Christ ....and eventually murdered him!

*Bible says "The Kingdom of God has been TAKEN AWAY from the JEWS... and GIVEN TO THE GENTILES!

*The "Religion" of the JEWS AS OF TODAY is JUDAISM; .... not Christianity!

*The Holy Book of the Jews TODAY is called "The TORAH"; ....not the Holy Bible!

Finally, the "Tie between Jews and Christianity" was BROKEN long ago, when they murdered Jesus.

Israelis have NOTHING (and want NOTHING) to do with Christianity.

Those are the facts.

It does not stop you from believing what you want to believe, anyway.

I recall that when I bought my first car, it's flagship mascot was the Israeli flag entwined with the Nigerian flag.

Solidarity with Israel and the Jews is one sure way (and shortcut cheesy) to God's blessings.
My people, I strongly encourage you to tap into this strategic move.

Even the Israeli guy in my work-place saw this and could not help LAUGHING!

Please travel to Israel yourself,... and see for yourself!

Their own "Holy Book" (like our own Bible) is called "The Torah"!

Adesiji77: With respect to ATMs, i think we are missing a very vital point here;ATMs are costly to set up-Cost of the ATM, Rent for space (offsite ATMs), Cost of construction, Cost of inverters, Cost of power supply, Cost of maintenance and Staff costs of the ATM custodians. These are in addition to the costs that the Bank will bear for switching (Interswitch) now that the N100 charge for use of other banks ATMs has been removed. Each time you use the ATM, your bank pays about N75 to Interswitch. Imagine how much each bank would have to pay Interswitch for all her card holders in a year versus the N100 yearly charge! Now that CBN has pegged it at N100 YEARLY, only time will tell.....This is a populist policy but the last time i checked, banks are not charity organisations...This policy may induce them to find more creative ways of making money out of their customers and the common people will bear the brunt.

Show us PROOF of this your assertion please, if it is TRUE!

#Pertinent Questions

1. Why were two law enforcement agencies busy debating jurisdiction instead of tackling the matter for which they were both called to the scene. Because there is "Egunje involved"! Definition: Jurisdiction = MONEY! grin

2. Why would an NSCDC official take a Police inspector into custody without due cause. There was "due cause"! => "Interfering with an attempt to change the receiver of BRIBE"! NCDSC officials were trying to upset the arrangement in place which "excluded them" and Police was interfering with that effort! wink wink wink You know yourself now, dont you?

3. This is the second case I am hearing of NSCDC officials not knowing there limitations. During my NYSC days in camp, a soldier head butted an NSCDC official until he was bloodied & fainted because of jurisdiction issues. I remember that the defence guy was challenging the soldier before the beat down. And how many times of hearing Army or Police being unnecessarily BRUTAL and SADISTIC?

4. Why didn't both agencies consult their ogas at the top before taking such actions. =====> Because "each Agency" has a "TARGET" to submit to "Oga at the Top", ... and each Oga does not care how the money is got.

5. How did the pipeline Vandals supposedly captured by the NSCDC escape!? Do you expect the Beneficiary to detain its "source of income"? C'mmon, dont underestimate the "intelligence" of Police Officers! grin grin

6. If the Police denies firing shots at the NSCDC guys, how did the deaths come about!? Eemmm,....This is a difficult one, even for a Policeman! cry cry shocked shocked I think they fell on their guns and it discharged "accidentally"! That line ALWAYS WORKED, abi? tongue tongue kiss

7. Why was the inspector abandoned after he had been cuffed!? Because the Inspector was threatening to commit suicide! wink wink When you hear gun-fire from "all directions", try and think about one Inspector that you handcuffed and not run for dear life! grin grin

8. What are the rules of engagement of the NSCDC!? SIMPLE: NO RULES! Shoot first, (even if they are ordinary protesters or students) if fire power no reach, run for dear life! Same for Polize and Army. This is Nigeria now.
Now, stop asking questions and apply to join Police while l join NCDSC .... we meet on-top Pipeline or @Nkwobi joint, anyhow!

draogtech: The police denied that its officers shot any civil defence officer.

The Lagos State Police Command has denied claims that its officers attacked officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on Wednesday.

In a press statement issued by Ngozi Braide, its spokesperson, the police said the civil defence officers disarmed police officers responding to a distress call over alleged petroleum pipeline vandalism at Mosimi.

“The Lagos State Command wishes to use this medium to put the record straight on what actually transpired at Isawo-Ikorodu at early hours of today 27/3/2013 between the NSCDC and the Police,” said the statement.

“At about 0145hrs of date, there was a distress call from DM security PPMC, Mosimi that they were experiencing drop in pressure on the pipeline. The Unit Commander in charge of Konu immediately pulled out his men on Konu axis under Inspr Sunday Gabriel to proceed to the scene.”

Ms. Braide said that as the police officers were approaching the scene, they heard sounds of “serious gun firing” near the pipeline area; and Mr. Gabriel instructed his men to head towards the direction.”

“Upon arrival, they saw a group of Civil Defence Corp Members coming out from the direction where the shooting was earlier heard,” Ms. Braid, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said.

“The NSCDC men challenged the policemen who were about four in number on what their mission was in the area; ‘saying that it was their sole responsibility (Civil Defence) to guide and protect pipelines,” she added.

An argument ensued thereafter, according to the police statement, and the most senior NSCDC officer, DSC Olufemi, ordered his men, numbering 14, to disarm, arrest and handcuff the police team leader and three other members of his team.

“The NSCDC succeeded in disarming the police team leader, Inspr Sunday Gabriel, handcuffed him, collected his service pistol, walkie-talkie, and police I.D card,”
the statement continued.

“As they were about dragging him into one of their standby hilux vehicles, a phone call was put to the Police Unit Commander reporting the situation. The three other officers resisted the arrest and this infuriated Civil Defence Officials who started shooting sporadically to intimidate and subdue the Police officers.

(AND SUDDENLY THE BELOW HAPPENED!)

“Before the Police Commander could arrive the scene, the NSCDC officials had taken to their heels abandoning the handcuffed and leg chained Police Inspector with one NSCDC personnel.”

Ms. Braide further said that afterwards, the Police Commander at Mosimi received a “shocking” call from the NSCDC Commander that two of his men had been killed.

“Up till now, the pistol of Inspr Sunday Gabriel, who was badly beaten and stabbed by the NSCDC officials, including his other accoutrements are still with NSCDC,” said Ms. Braide.

The police account of the incident differs from the NSCDC version which stated that one of the policemen they encountered said that the NSCDC had no right to operate in the pipeline area.

An argument ensued and the NSCDC officers left the police only to encounter a hail of bullets from a second team of police officers, an NSCDC source said.

The NSCDC account also said that the arrested pipeline vandals made several phone calls to the police and escaped after the police attack.

The police spokesperson added that the incident led to NSCDC officers at Alausa, Ikeja, assaulting three police officers – Sergeant Charles Igiebor, Corporal Ekun Julius, and Corporal Okoro Charles – who went for National I.D Card registration exercise, on Wednesday morning.

“They also started attacking Policemen on sight in other parts of the State,” she added.
Ms. Braide advised Lagos residents to remain calm as “investigation into the matter has commenced.”

But the "Big Questions" is: Whose constitutional responsibility is it, to protect PIPELINES from Vandals?

AND

"Whose Duty is it to assist and free from arrest, Vandals who break into and siphon Pipelines"

The Nigerian Police is made-up of bunch of Criminals, their criminality is "institutionalized and well organized".

Even as a "member of this country", he does not know the dead person (and by inference, she/he did not and could not have known how 'VIP' the dead person was) or what the dead person's contribution to the country was.

That he "expressed himself", on how he felt should not justify your tirade against his/her person.

Let us always respect the right of others to "hold an opinion" ...which may defer from ours, as long as their opinion is NOT insulting or inciting.

Nairaland General › Re: Pianist On Trial For Picketing Okotie's Church by lastpage: 11:52pm On Mar 27, 2013
@topic,

First, full disclosure. I was a member of Household for a long time and my judgement may be considered biased even though it is based on facts.

As at about 2 years ago, I know the minimum amount that Household of God pays to security guards with just a First School Leaving Certificate is N50,000 monthly. I don't know if any other institution in the country pays close to that for the services of people with that level of education.

Second. Household is the first Church I know in Nigeria that bought several brand new cars to give to long-term volunteers who have proven faithful in the Church and in need of the help. This has been ongoing for the past 20 years at least. Again, where else has that been done in the country?

Third. I know the Church raised an offering about 2 years ago for at least one of its leading worship leaders to help with their financial situation. The money was enough to buy a brand new car and offset other presing needs.

Fourth. Household established a Benevolent Department almost at the same time as the inception of the Church where pooor members are catered for on a weekly basis with provision of food, money, clothes and other essential needs. Same department overlooks and help the people that pass through to obtain employment and stand on their feet.

Fifth. We all know of the GRACE program where the Church gives out large sums of money yearly towards non-profit organizations.

Sixth. I was in present at the church on one night (about 10 years ago) when Okotie felt led to pay for somone's rent. At the end of the service, he wrote a check of N160,000 to meet the person's need.

The above is just to show that the accusation against the Reverend does not fit his lifestyle. He has always been a very generous man. Knowing the little I know of him however, I believe he will not stand for blackmail and sabotage which is what this is looking like.

I volunteered at the church and even rendered professional services without being promised or expecting a dime. I trusted God to bles me and he did. I don't know what this dude's problem is but he definitely is on the wrong track.
I am HAPPY that you are a member of that Church which means you have "First hand Knowledge" of Pastor Okotie.
I'll understand if you are biased since religion is a thing of the heart,...so called "Opium of the mind".
Disclosure: I am a Christian too but NOT a member of Household.

Now, you listed a lot of things the Church have done, over the last 20years (and they are lofty things!)....
.....and BASED ON THOSE THINGS, you CONCLUDED THAT THE "ACCUSATION DOES NOT FIT" the LIFESTYLE of PASTOR OKOTIE!

Let us appeal your LOGIC since your assertion is based on "Logical reasoning".
I have a few question which punctures (or appear to) that assertion:

1) If the Pastor pays "security guards as much as 50K monthly", we can then infer that it is TRUE that NOT EVERYONE working for the church, works or is expected to work for FREE. => (which implies) This man is within his rights to ask to be paid for services rendered? Was this man (accused) paid for his 14years service to the church? TRUE or FALSE.

2.) The Church bought cars for "long term serving volunteers" as you said. Was this man EVER given a car TRUE OR FALSE?
or is 14years of service not long enough to be considered "long term volunteering" (assuming he was just a VOLUNTEER, ..and not entitled to a salary?)

3.) If the Church regularly raises offering to offset financial problems of "members/volunteers" ....How come someone who plays your Keyboard for 14years does not QUALIFY for such offerings, knowing that he was being EJECTED FROM HIS HOME, which he says the same Church promised to pay for ab-initio? Was he not ejected from that apartment? (try read the initial story when it broke and was posted on Nairaland earlier, where the man laid out his complaints against Pastor Okotie and what led him to take the "extra-ordinary measure" of bringing his case to the Church service, when he had no other option left).

4.) The Church established a Benevolent Department, right? Where were they or what did they do, to ameliorate the trauma this man went through when he was being ejected from his house (and we hear that Pastor Okotie rented another flat for him and his wife + ki(s) BUT IN THE NAME OF OKOTIE"S BROTHER huh huh )
Did this man who served the Church and Okotie for 14years, BENEFIT FROM SUCH BENEVOLENCE? TRUE OR FALSE

5.) Has this man EVER benefited from you "Grace program" TRUE OR FALSE ....or what DISQUALIFIES HIM from benefiting, during his 14yeras in service of the church and Okotie?

6.)That YOU VOLUNTARILY CHOSE to offer service (professional and otherwise) to the church for FREE, TODAY, dies not mean that it will still be free tomorrow or that VERY OTHER PERSON WHO IS NOT IN THE SAME FINANCIAL POSITION AS YOU HAS TO DO THE SAME.
if you are builder (with no other source of earning a living and feeding your family), try offering your service for 14years to the church and lets see whether "manna" will fall from heaven to feed your family.

If the ANSWER to the questions above are FALSE (and l know they are false since even you cannot say the man has benefited in anyway, from the Church's "Grace or Benevolence" program and neither was he PAID ANY SALARY, like the Security Guards) THEN PASTOR OKOTIE NEEDS TO ASK GOD FOR FORGIVENESS AND PAY-OFF THIS "ORDINARY MAN". You cannot humiliate and oppress "man", while claiming to serve God who is a spirit.

Finally, you mention the issue of "BLACKMAIL": Please tell us, How does ASKING FOR YOUR ENTITLEMENTS from a "man of God", to be considered blackmail? If you tried ALL PEACEFUL MEANS and the MOG rebuffed you, PROTESTING OPENLY to draw attention to your case MUST and SHOULD NEVER be considered blackmail!
I guess it is the same "Oga at The Top" syndrome that is at play here!

"How can one little, Piano player openly challenge the ALMIGHTY Jerry-curled Pastor who sits on top of Multi-Millions of Naira and controls the life of Millions of People"? Just imagine the audacity! Teach him a lesson, we must

This is some of the things you look at and realize that Christianity in Nigeria is laced with FRAUD!

Infact Religion in Nigeria, in general.
We are VERY RELIGIOUS (Church/Mosque everywhere!)but we have NO IOTA OF SPIRITUALISM IN US! (Wickedness and Evil everywhere)
In essence, we practice the kind of Christianity Jesus Christ himself will declare as "You workers of Iniquity"!

SIMPLE THING:

1) Okotie makes money from this Church, as a Pastor and from the music produced in the church (which also attracts members => Marketing!). We know Okotie is by this means, a Multi-Millionaire.

2.) Pianist and other "musicians" in the church are humanbeings as well.
They need Shelter and food and need to make a life for themselves. If the church can FINANCIALLY BENEFIT "Pastor Okotie", why not this folks?

3.) Even if there was NO -WRITTEN AGREEMENT to pay the man a sum of money for his services (and this is contestable as the man said Okotie promised to pay his rent and give him money for his services and remember, they actually paid for a few months!)
Does it not make SENSE to even a Non-Christian (not to mention a so-called "Man of God"!) that he should reward the man for "his contribution" (musically) to the wealth of the church, which made Okotie a Multi-Millioniare?

4.) What does it take to say, "For all the 14years you spent with us and worked for this "Ministry", take 5million Naira as PENSION!
Did Pastor Oyedepo not "PAY-OFF" certain Pastors in his church, for their services? Why is Okotie different or is he just a "deep-seated" Rogue and Opportunist?

Where is "the Christian" in this MOG called Okotie?

5.) If the man is thus pushed into a situation where he is wretched (and having worked for somebody for 24years of h is life?) is it a crime to ask the "employer" (on behalf of Gawd!) to "settle the man, once and for all?

WHY ARE WE SO WICKED TO ONE ANOTHER ......EVEN IN THE HOUSE OF GOD?
Jesus fed the hungry and healed the sick, HE did not PREY ON THEIR NAIVETY!

Okotie is a disgrace to Christianity!

I hope the Judge will find the "Wisdom" to see beyond the "Letters of the Law" (CONTRACT) and call Okotie the thief he is.
Even Federal and State Govt will give you "Pension" if you worked for them for over 10years ....or why do people carry Placard, if their Pension is not paid?

Corruption is ALWAYS Corruption, BIG or small! wink wink

We can say let us "leave the small thieves", let them keep stealing until we can catch ALL the BIG THIEVES!

Problem is, by the time you finish catching all the Big Thieves, the Small Thieves have themselves GROWN into BIG THIEVES!
grin grin grin

And the cycle will begin all over again . .....because "NEW" small thieves have also emerged! shocked shocked shocked

My Take: Let those who can catch small thieves, CARRY ON!
.....and Let those who have the "resources" to catch the Big Thieves, Do their Job!

In no time, there will be less thieves. Shikenna!!

I hate Thieves! angry angry

I cant recall "details" but l still remember the story of that Man that owns KAVEX COMPUTERS at Ikeja, in Lagos. I used to be a customer of his .....well, until his WIFE ARRAIGNED FOR HIM TO BE ASSASSINATED! .....and she was busted afterwards!

The story was somewhere on this Nairaland as well.

Thing is, EVERY MAN needs to understand that "Your WIFE LOVES YOU .....as long as she is the ONLY ONE" (is that actually an "unconditional Love"? .. or just a love that guarantees she will have inherit your possessions, as men generally die earlier than women?)

....The Moment you give a HINT THAT YOU FANCY ANOTHER WOMAN, that YOUR WIFE HAS TURNED TO YOUR MOST DANGEROUS ENEMY!
...."An Enemy within your very own Household"! Just think about it.
Either you run away (and achieve your intentions) or you "Neutralize her ability to harm you".

To think you can make her "see senses" is fruitless,.....You just a "dead-man walking".

This is THE TRUTH ..and in this regard, l agree with that lady "Adabeke12".

BE WARNED ....BE PREPARED like a Boys Scout!

Michky: I have been advocating a support group for married and yet to be married men, but am yet to receive enough encouraging feedback. The rate at which men are fast becoming extinct is alarming. Forget all these she-boys parading themselves as men because they've been lifting weights and taking girls to bed. We need more male role models to show our young ones the way to go. I pray for men.

By nature, men are wired to "feel macho" and banding up against some whining and weird womenfolk is considered "denigration" on the menfolk.

This is why such calls hardly receive any attention from the suffering menfolk.

But the truth is that women have taken advantage of this "male mentality", to further isolate men and deal with them in the most outrageous manner, coupled with the fact that "society" has come to accept that men are "stronger physically and THEREFORE must be the AGGRESSOR" in any face-off!

ofcourse it is bunkum and B.S to the core.! You still wont find men coming together to support themselves, all the same.
Its a genetic-makeup thingy.
Just like wondering why "Men still run after another woman, after the first one showed him pepper? Its in the genes ...just like multiple-sex partners for men!
grin grin

Too bad!

PS: But if women think they are "catching-up" s per using violence on men, l think they should just remember that Men are actually physically stronger than them....... and in a game of violence, they would lose big-time! Just dont want them turning around and crying "He hit me, knowing that l am the weaker sex"! shocked shocked shocked

I think from all that has been written here, "Younger men especially", and men in general, are beginning to "adjust and adapt" to the new reality,... which is, WOMEN ARE DEADLY and should not be taken for granted (weaker sex), as used to be the case before now.
Also, Marriage is not just becoming a "game of money" but also a "game of death", for most women
.

MEN BE WARNED! MEN BE PREPARED!!

Sorry the man in my life can't be as stupid as the fo*ol in OPs story
,I never stated anything about support but whatever consequence cheating awards you, carry it with pride.Even if it means death.
It does not start in ONE DAY!
Today, he is not stupid to have another lover,
Tomorrow, he would likely be "stupid" and have another lover ...and you would know!

From your posts, you would definitely KILL HIM!

YOU are a MURDERER-in-waiting.
You will certainly kill your spouse, one of these days, that l am sure of.
I hope he is reading and watching you closely?
Tru-dat.
