Ibanga p: Osaze odemwingie, 4 having d courage 2 standup nd speak against d corruption in nigerian football.
+1,000,000 Times.

This guy has put-in Ten years of his life, for the national Team but we all know that "in an association of THIEVES like the NFF is (with its conniving Coaches)", someone like Osaze, with his upbringing and Mentality, will never fit-in.

Its like putting Foxes and Sheep in the same pen!

If just 10% of Nigerians can display selfless courage in challenging the "criminal status quo" that keeps bringing our country down, then maybe we may have a chance to become developed in the next 20years.

Wetin Sef? this rubbish is going on for too long and Nigeria is being left behind!

Mind you others that have been mentioned here also deserve to be "recognized", just that Osaze was outstanding.

Romance › Re: My Boyfriend Is Married In Nigeria! by lastpage: 6:03pm On Dec 26, 2012
Okay, its boxing day and l have finished un-boxing all the Gifts, now l have time on my hand!

Let us summarize first:

1.) African American sister was 21yrs when she met our Bruvda, they were together for 11yrs, broke-up 7years ago and came back together.

a) Sister is now 38yrs old (27 + 11). Bruvda is 42yrs (31 + 11)
b) Sister was 31yrs when they broke off. Brother was 35yrs (real or cooked age).

2.) Brother is a Medical Doctor, he wanted her to have his baby when she was 31yrs, SHE REFUSED, according to her statement. She said Brother changed her life for Good and dotted over her. They lived apart over 11yrs.

a) Brother did not love her for "papers" but the love was genuine
b) It was HER CHOICE that they do not get any closer to marriage.
c) If she wanted, she would have married him when he was available, seven years ago!
d) At 35yrs of age, "Complete Man" like these brother (now he is 31 + 11 = 42years!) needs to settle down and have a family
e) Sister already have a child of her own, from another relationship thus, if the relationship was to continue as "it were", Brother will be the looser! Brother got to think fast and decide!
wink

3.) He has a sister who lives 30Mins away from his house. You saw a marriage Cert on his Computer. You saw a Ring on his finger, Brother says it was a gift! shocked shocked

a) The lady that was seen with him could have been that sister of his.
b) His real or imagined age has nothing to do with your relationship anyway.
c) The Ring you saw on his finger could have been a wedding ring and the event could have happened when you broke up (most likely from what you posted). That he married when you broke up is perfectly legal and right.
d) That he did not tell you afterwards or lied about the Ring is "WRONG and absolutely unnecessary" though one could understand",...the kind of lies men and women say, to keep from loosing a loved one. But that still does not make it right. You both wanted each other, as much as the other.

4) Why does he not have his wife here and is he going to leave her for you NOW, if you get pregnant for him?
a) You have LOST the opportunity to be his wife.
You chose to REMAIN his Girl Friend by:
*Living separate lives for 11yrs in terms of separate homes, no keys to each others flat, no pregnancy, no kids, no long-term commitment of any kind except sex! wink
b) He does not have his wife with him in USA, for reasons best known to him (it may include the fact that he is not settled emotionally, Visa issues for her and any children involved or he may even prefer they stay back in Nigeria where he can give them the kind of "cultural and moral implantation of his taste, as long as his wife agrees with him on that)
c) Dont waste your time in getting pregnant for him, if the only reason is that you want him to marry you and dump his Nigerian wife.
It wont work! The best you can get out of him now is a COMPANION
.
You cant eat your cake and have it at the same time.

As far as l am concerned, the only thing he did wrong was not coming out to tell you he is married/getting married to someone else (since you dont want long term commitments).
Even that is understandable.
You are not his wife, he did not promise you marriage and you are not expecting him to marry you (at least by your conduct and actions w.r.t pregnancy and living together).
So, he does not even owe you that explanation, morally and legally speaking.

Now, your CHOICE have been made a long time ago, by YOURSELF.
You decided he was not the man for you when you refused to have his child, after a long courtship (when you have your own child from another man!). You did not even make effort to meet his sister who lives 30mins away from his house!
Habba, which kain wife you for be sef
? angry

I also know for a fact that when relationships go sour (as in this case), the party "reporting the matter" usually embellish it and soup-it-up in a way to make them appear like the victim.
I have seen and heard this over and over again and experience tells me you are doing the same.
Thats the reason some think your story does not add-up or that it is "made-up". wink wink Dont fool us please.

Finally, this matter is too clear-cut for you to be asking for "ADVICE"!

MOVE-ON if you dont like the situation ON GROUND or are not prepared to be "second wife" (even though you sef na second-hand woman and at 38yrs huh shocked shocked), count yourself very lucky that you met a nice Igbo man who is caring enough as you described him.

On the other hand, if you think he gives you so much tender loving that can COMPENSATE for his being attached to another woman (his wife), then MAKE THE BEST OF YOUR TIME TOGETHER with a "clear-cut agreement" to move-on whenever it suits you. Its your move, now.

Dont ever come here whining and moaning about how wicked Nigerian men are.
What were you thinking you were like, when he asked you to be his wife and mother of his children, 7years ago and YOU REFUSED? .....An ANGEL, huh?

Nairaland is getting tired of all these 'cry-cry babies' walahi!

Its your decision to make. I wish you LUCK AND loads of Love, going forward.

BTW: Dont mind all these useless "non-Nigerians women" who infiltrate this website to speak jargon about things they know nada about. They are living in denial and cant put their mouth where their money is.
They cant even stay in their own country's website cos they dont have "real men" there! grin grin

What is your anger at the person who drew awareness to this problem?

Let me quote someone else:

freecocoa: The girl is a child model, there are many more pictures of her on social media especially facebook and many people use them as their dp on bbm.
Can you read that?

There is a saying concerning those who take indecent pictures of themselves: IF YOU KNOW YOU DONT WANT IT PUBLIC (OR CANT AFFORD TO HAVE IT PUBLIC), DONT TAKE THAT PICTURE ...or put it on "record"!...... 'cos it will eventually land in the blogosphere where you dont want it.

Its a simple rule ..... that saves a lot of grief.

Please Focus on the "message".....not the "messenger".

My hope is that this would have made some impact on some Parent, to know and see that it is a wrong thing to do to your own child.

*Which kind of Businessman stores "explosives" in a Residential area? Did he made it known (by way of Warning Signs and Posted information on the Warehouse walls), that his warehouse contains dangerous materials?

*What manner of Customs & Excise (I know their Comptroller uses forged Certificates) allows businessmen to import explosives without proper "checks" on storage and disposal? I even understand that the importation of fireworks in BANNED!

*Which manner of Security Agents (Police, SSS, "KAI, LASTMA, Yellow Fever", e.t.c grin ) allowed these toxic products to be transported from the Ports to that warehouse?

Mine:
Back in those days when l was at University, there is this babe in another DEPARTMENT THAT l HAVE BEEN WOOING FOR "ETERNITY"!

I know she likes me but she was going out with another guy and she said we can only be friends for now except a miracle happens!.

Well, it was after our second semester exams and like Mother luck decide to "smile at me" for no good reason.

I've just written my last paper and was so drained of energy that l planned to sleep for the next two days and guess who knocked on my Hostel room door? The Same Babe! kiss kiss kiss

She told me: Do you remember what l told you about the "a miracle happening"?
I said: Why wont l remember, you never left my mind for one minute but l guess l understand your position.

She then said: Well, it happened, we broke-up just before exams started and l just needed to focus on my exams, now that exams are over, l guess you still want me?

I said: I want you like yesterday! kiss kiss kiss
She said: Well, from now on, you call me yours!

Just like that o, babe entered my bathroom and showered, came out NAKE.D in front of me!
huh huhshocked shocked shocked

I was so shocked that my "third leg" failed me and refused to get up! angry angry

She calmed me down and said "it happens, maybe you are too tired from your exams..... we have all the time in the world".

Well, l was so embarrassed, l looked at my 'thing' and gave it a smirk it on the 'knob'!
angry angry

Next morning, it regained "consciousness" and it was its usual vibrant self. grin grin

Dont ask me what happened that morning....it was better than l could imagine!....after almost two years of licking my lips for this babe!

It is the END RESULT that matters in Football, not much about how you got the result.

A good Coach can inspire his wards through unparalleled HUMILITY....even being the Boss!

Its not enough to have been an "ex-footballer" to be a good coach, you need loads of "people-management skills'.

Take a cue from Pepe Guardiola formerly of Barcelona (and see how he relates with the World's best footballers, in the world's best club!)

ChopUrMoni: Have you ever played hide and seek? If you have, then you know that once the person has been found by the finder its not the end of the game. The person found must run and the finder would have to pursue until they have caught them. Then and only then is the the game over.

I have noticed a trend among a lot of men. They have become so lazy that they do not bother chasing the girl they love........

What happened to the value of chasing a woman? Why has it become so worthless and looked down upon............

Men, we love to be pursued and conquered by you
. Why do you all think the stories of Cinderella, Snow white, Rapunzel and the like are so loved by girls? They all had one thing in common. A prince who not only found them but also fought for them. Trust me we love to be chased and caught by you.....
Okay, lets be HONEST WITH OURSELVES and look deep into this matter:

Women of TODAY dont seems to either:

1.) Know what they want ..or...
2.) Too selfish or self-centered, to bother about "HOW" to get what they actually want.

They are like the "typical Nigerian" who groans and moans about BAD GOVERNMENT every day but is NOT READY to lift a single finger, to do WHAT IS NECESSARY to CHANGE BAD GOVERNMENT!

Curiously, experience has shown us that "Freedom is NOT GIVEN, it is worked hard for, fought for, sacrificed for and TAKEN BY FORCE, if necessary".

Same applies to our Women of TODAY, who want MEN of TODAY to do to them, what "Our Fathers did to our Mothers" (like chasing them around kiss grin ) in those good old days:

QUESTION IS: Can you WOMEN OF TODAY, do the things, accept the things and behave like our Mothers did to their Husbands, back then?

Be honest with yourselves, hands crossed over your heart (and you may hope to die or grow a long nose like Pinnochio, if you dare lie! shocked ) and tell yourself, the answer.

Let me break it down a lil-bit:
*Everything in Life follows certain "Universal Laws",....like the "Law of reciprocity.....being Give and take", Like the Universal Law of Physics, "Action and Reaction .....being Equal and opposite" (Isaac Newton),
Like the Universal "the Golden Rule ......being Do unto others as you would expect to be done unto", ...and so on.

Women of TODAY will look down on our Mothers as "Stewpid, uneducated, uncivilized, too weak, unsophisticated, unexposed, Docile, Take too much poo from their husbands, too compromising, e.t.c"

*But in all the above, Women of TODAY forget that "YOU CANT EAT YOUR CAKE AND STILL HAVE IT"!

Our Mothers enjoyed all those things you now crave for, because of "HOW and WHO They are"!
You are either "like them" .....and ENJOY THOSE THINGS (like being chased endlessly and being dotted over) or YOU ARE NOT. ...Its so K-I-S-S kiss (Keep It stewpidly Simple!)

On a closer look, a discerning person will decipher that "our Mothers are not "Stewpid" at all, they just KNOW WHAT TO DO, TO GET WHAT THEY WANT AND RIGHTLY DESERVE! ......That is what l call SMARTNESS!

TODAYS WOMEN who think they are smart, are actually the reverse after-all, the RESULT is there for all to see --- , lack of Love, uninteresting courtship, boring marriage, Family breakdowns, Divorce and failed child rearing!

So, it is not about men not chasing women (as our fathers did in those days, it is in our DNA to chase women, treat women like a Queen and splash out on them) BUT....

BUT.... Women have changed (and dont deny these please!) ....Men are just responding to those changes, like all "Natural and Universal Laws" demand!
There are still a few women out there who have "mastered the secret of a successful Love/Marital Life" and are using it to their advantage!.

Of-course, the so-called "smart, modern woman" will condemn and criticize them like they did (to) our Mothers!

But like l always say: Its the END that justifies the MEANS".
You want it, You gat to work for it! ...Easy come, Easy goes!

No one, no matter how smart they think they are, can "Eat their cake and still have it"

I think say na "BB, i-Phone-5 and Amigo hair attachment" una dey run after? Let those items do the chasing on our behalf naa! grin grin wink wink

Any woman of TODAY that desires to be "chased and treated like our Mothers of those days", should look inwards, study how and what our Mothers did in their relationship, how they related with their men, how they "view and appreciated their men".......THEN YOU HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION!

There is No long story in this one, walahi!
The answer you go to "Sokoto" (Northern state) to look for, is right there inside your "Sokoto" (Trouser pocket)! ....Yoruba Proverb wink wink

mapet: First off I think, regardless of how we spin it, I think it is both honorable and commendible that the senior officers left you off the hook on his discretion. It is also very good that you stood your ground and took the case to the senior officer.....

These aside, the traffic laws are still valid, beneficial to us all. We need to collectively build the system. It is true that ignorance is not an excuse. We cannot flout laws and claim ignorance or hardship to the masses.........
This is NOT a case of 'flouting the law and claiming ignorance".
It is a case of "calculated deception and entrapment, in other to intimidate and blackmail the victim into parting with money, a further case of corrupt enrichment"!

In enlightened societies, no judge will ever convict you, if your accuser has not done "everything possible" to warn you or make it obvious that you are about to commit an offense.

When that sign is BOLD AND CLEARLY VISIBLE
, that is when you can postulate a case of "ignorance not being an excuse".
Where there is no law, there cant be an offense.
What is the purpose of a "public sign" .....if it is hidden/covered-up, so the public will not see it?

Just like somewhere around Gbagada, just after you cross the bridge going towards the OLD JOLAD HOSPITAL, the "One Way sign" was placed behind a kiosk where a woman 'deliberately' sells roasted plantain(covering the whole pole!) and the Policemen then placed a CARTON of Milk on the roof of the Kiosk, to cover the "Sign" from the visibility of coming drivers.

Once they arrest you, the woman has been instructed to quickly and immediately remove the Carton!
grin grin
In my case, l paused at the junction, did not see any "No Entry Sign" but subconsciously noticed the Carton because its position on the roof of that Kiosk was "out of place"!

When l was arrested and l said there was no sign, l was shown the "now magically visible sign"! angry huh

I screamed obscenities at them .....and was even lucky to spot the carton (now residing happily by the roasted plantain sellers side) and told them that they should try better next time 'cos l am willing to drag this one as far as the supreme court with them. angry grin

I quickly started taking pictures (using my phone) of everything connected to the "case" so l can show the Judge and by the time l finished, they have disappeared!

Of-course, my time was wasted consumed but l am sure they would think twice before pulling that one on the next victim.

"Calculated deception and entrapment" are valid defense in law.

I turn it over to qualified lawyers in the house, me na layman.

VALIDATOR: The truth is that you would not have been able to summon enough courage to resist paying the bribe. They could easily rope you in for other more serious offenses such as being the one who remotely crashed kaduna state governor's helicopter;anything;just anything. There is no rule of law in this country. So,the wise thing is to negotiate your way out and keep moving.Trying to prove your innocence will work only if the other party is truly interested in justice.
Bros, with dues RESPECT, l completely disagree with this your theory!
It is the worst position to take in this kind of situation simply because IT EMBOLDENS THE OPPRESSOR FURTHER.

The reason crime and blatant oppression by armed police especially has manifested without restraint in this country is because "WE ALL WANT TO NEGOTIATE AND KEEP MOVING ON!

From Mr. President to the clueless Clerk in a local Government, ALL are aware that the average Nigerian wants to "negotiate and move-on" and thus, we have become a milk-cow for these kind of oppression.

What is wrong in sacrificing some "time and energy" to prove your innocence and in the process, correct a glaring injustice?

Everybody does not want to sacrifice ANYTHING, the crooks know this and at the end of the day, we are the same ones that will turn around and complain that this government is very corrupt.

By "Negotiation and moving on", you are aiding and abetting that same corruption and you therefore become a SLAVE to corrupt public servants
!

I know its not an easy thing to do but it becomes much more easier when more and more people adopt that position as against on Mr. Kasali ONLY trying to prove and get his 'rights'.

*When will our "Poli-trick-tians" stop taking us for granted?
*When will Policemen stop firing and discharging bullets on innocent Nigerians?
*When will Governors and LGA Chairmen stop using our money to buy houses overseas?
*When will our Religious leaders (Pastors and Bishops) stop pimping our pockets in the name of God?
*When will Lecturers stop asking for "favors" from students?
*When will bus drivers and conductors stop increasing transport fare at will?
*When will Soldiers stop harassing and abusing civilians?

WHEN WE ALL SAY WE WILL SACRIFICE OUR TIME AND ENERGY TO DEMAND OUR RIGHT.

At times, l conclude that NIGERIANS ARE THE MOST SELFISH AND SELF-CENTERED HUMANS God ever created ...
....and that is why we will remain very backward and pauperized even in the midst of plenty!

Our Leaders buy Airplanes for transport while we cant even boats of clean drinking water, talk-less of electricity since they know we will keep quiet just to keep "moving-on"!

Look at the recent example in Egypt: The people stood their ground, sacrificed their daily activities (including business and income), just to tell the President that he can ride over them roughshod!

He BACKED DOWN eventually, even when the military who were protecting him saw the hundreds of thousands in the street, they knew that their bullets will finish before they could KILL AL OF THEM and after that, justice on they themselves will be very SWIFT!

That is how "masses assert themselves" ...with NUMBERS!

Nigerians must learn not to think too much about their selfish and personal interest, if they want change in their society.

FREEDOM IS NOT GIVEN, IT IS TAKEN.....mostly BY FORCE!
We were transforming our society, and changing our nation, one soul at a time,” he said.
You should be ashamed of yourself!
Which Nigerian Society did you transform? Transform from "Good to Bad"?

*In the 70's, Kidnapping was hardly heard of. Armed Robbery was sparse. Ritual killing can only happen in "The Village", for traditional purposes!
Today, it has become like "a hobby" for our Youths, in every nook and cranny of Nigerian society.

*In the 70's, "Feeding" was NEVER AN ISSUE for University Undergraduates as the school provided "first class" standard meals for all students @5Kobo/Ticket/Meal. kiss kiss Today, Students have to do all sorts of "operations" (Cultism, Robbery, Prostitution, Conductor, Okada-riding, e.t.c), just to put food in their mouth so as to have a little energy left for study! No wonder they can concentrate properly!

That is how you leeches, robbing in the name of God, have transformed this country of ours.
Oke wondered what Nigeria would have been if not for the efforts of Pentecostalism in the country. “They have seen a few jets. They ain’t seen nothing yet! More of us will yet buy and maintain our jets, because, by the mercy of God, we have been given the wisdom to do so.
Your generation is a curse to this country!
Nigeria would have been better, from all available evidence.
1.) Before you came, Nigerians live a better life, economically.
Then, it was just a few churches, mostly Catholic, Aladura and the "Traditional Pentecostal" like "The Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian ......but when thieving men like you brought your "get-rich-quick" Ministry to Nigeria, it marked the beginning of the demise of morals in this country!

2.)Another "evidence" is that, if you look at other Nations that dont have this your type of "get-rich-buy-Jet-by all means Ministry", they are actually doing better than Nigeria.
Nigeria and Malaysia were at par, in the 70's ....(they actually borrowed Palm Fruit from us, to transplant in their country, but today, we import Palm Oil and other Palm-related products from them! shocked ).... but today, they are hundreds of years ahead of us. Brazil, China, Indonesia are other examples of "developing countries" that left us behind.
While we "blossomed" in the areas of "Wayo Ministry" that your types preach, these other countries blossomed economically!

So, please, l take God beg you, stop acting like a Hypocrite! You know what Nigeria would have been without thieves liek you who prey on the gullible.
If "Prayers were Horses", then Nigeria should be one of the best places in the world but alas, it is filled with "Spiritual Scammers" like yourself.
“However, our critics should know that the jets mean nothing to us! They are just tools to do the work that God has given us in a more effective manner. Or how can an Adeboye .....He does not need just one. He needs some!

“How can an Ayo Oritsejafor, who has to minister around the globe, pastor a very large congregation in Warri, and still attend to critical national matters in Abuja, if he has to keep waiting at the airports, in a system where nothing is predictable?
That is always the "excuse" you use.
Like Oliver Twist, you are always asking for more! angry
In the 80's, when these craziness was in full bloom, you were buying expensive cars, expensive Jewelries, adornments.... and your excuse then was: "Our God is not a poor God|!
grin grin

Your "new excuse" now is that you need the Jets to fly around! grin Smart Robbers! grin grin
Even the U.N. Secretary General that flies all over the world at short notice, does not have "Personal Jets"
What next would you ask to buy..... and what will be your excuse? huh huh
Maybe you will use church money to buy land on the moon and your excuse will be: We need to preach to the "Moon-Rakers"! cheesy cheesy wink Barawo-Banza! angry
Our critics should, please, note that more of us are following the trail of the like of Adeboye, whose wealth and affluence ......
It is obvious that "where a man's wealth is, there lies his heart".
Your own heart is obviously after buying a Jet and l can imagine the nonsense you spew in church, cajoling and deceiving the "Mugus" to part with their money ..... so you can fulfill your fantasy!

Like all thieves, you need to the smarter than those you are fooling!
I give it to your likes, YOU ARE VERY SMART!
We actually should not blame you for getting away with these "pimping", the blame lies with those who are playing "Mugun" for you.

They want miracles, they want to "get rich quick", without commensurate effort, some want spouses but dont want to live a responsible life, some want to pass exams without adequate study, e.t.c ....

....and YOU, like a "talented talisman", you gave them the "Opium that will fulfill their own fantasy".... while you fulfill yours in the process.
Its called Symbiosis!

But wait, they are getting poorer ....while you are getting richer!
That is Parasitism!
YOU ALL ARE PARASITES. Smart ones for that matter.

Please carry-go, buy your Jet, Nothing do you, walahi!

Believe me, it takes a VERY SMART ALEC, to be a Pastor! You have to be way smarter than the "Sheep" that part with their money, in expectation of some fathom miracle! wink
The bishop stated this in a release made available to Tribune Church. “We are being criticized for buying jets! ......
No Sir, you are being economical with the TRUTH!
*You are being criticized for FLEECING THE POOR IN THE NAME OF GOD!
*You are being criticized for "PIMPING" and taking advantage of women with Marital problems, child-birth problems, Men with Financial problems.
*You are being criticized for calling yourself "A CHRISTIAN" because NOTHING you're doing is "Christ-like". You are "worldly and excessively materialistic"!

*You are being criticized for being even more deceitful than Satan itself! Where Jesus fed the poor and went hungry himself, you "bunch of thieves" are feeding fat on the meager income of already impoverished masses!
We were transforming lives, giving them beauty for ashes.
Which lives are you transforming? Nigerian "Looters" used to loot in the "Thousands of Naira" in the 1970's, Now, they loot in the "Billions of Naira" (and you partake out of the loot, in form of "Offering and Tithe", which you accumulate to buy your Jet-plane).
You are "truly transforming" the nation!
grin
We were empowering people, equipping them with the revelation knowledge of God’s word that lifts men out of the pit of poverty, to the pinnacle of grace and dominion!
Dont make a nuisance of yourself, Mr. Bishop!
angry
*In the 70's, every University Graduate could get a job, complete with a 'brand-new Peugeot 504' to-boot! grin Today, Graduates drive 'Dangote Trailer' (if they can even get that), as their "dream job". Is that your empowerment?

*In the 70's, even a teacher can build a house (without taking a loan or taking money from students), today, they cant even get a loan, if they wanted one! They sell "groundnuts and paff-paff" in their class, to make ends meet!

*In the 70's, School Cert leavers can teach in the "Junior Secondary class" of the same school they just left (such is the quality of our education then), today, even University Graduates clamor to "Ride Okada" for a living, since they would die of hunger if they dont, That is the "Pit of Poverty" you have sown in our land ......while you buy jet with their money!

I keep referring to the 70's because "it is a good basis for comparison". Life then was and is and exact opposite of what it is now.

*I tell you, every household, no matter how poor, could afford to slaughter a chicken at Christmas, Easter and other Yelutide season. With the poverty you've sown, less than 10% of the populace, (your church members) can do same..... since you have "tasked them to death" on Tithe and offering (of-course, you need to buy your own Jet! grin grin

In summary, you have deepened the Poverty of Nigerians, to levels that would make Jesus weep for Nigerians. I hear "babies" can no longer feed on Cerelac, Cow & Gate, Similac, Glucose-D, Abidec and all other treats that l fed on as a baby! I hear that out of the "pit of poverty' you plunge them into, month old babies now drink GARRI WATER!! grin grin
Thank you very much, God is watching from above.
We were empowering the poor, not only giving them fish to eat but also teaching them how to fish.
Once again, you lie!

What you do to these people is "EXPLOIT THEM", using the name of God
.
You promise them "earth-in-heaven" (instead of "heaven-on-earth" that you are enjoying!) and exploit their foolishness in creating an empire for yourself and your family.
A recent example is Chris Okotie, who "exploited his Keyboardist for 14years" and discarded him like tissue-paper.

Where is the "fish" in that?
We were building schools that were giving quality education to the people, empowering them mentally to become prominent (these include those throwing stones at us now!). We were building universities.
If you repeat this lie again, thunder-fire-your mouth and your nose will grow ridiculously long like that of PINOCCHIO! grin grin
Let us break it down for you:
*The people contributed money out of their sweat.
*That money was "pooled" to build a University
*You made yourself and your family (wife and kids) the Vice Chancellor and Board Members of that school
*You now OVER-PRICED the admission & Tuition fee of that same University, beyond the reach of those whose "money and sweat" built that school (only to enroll children of looters of Government money, who can afford the tuition)

So, tell us, DID YOU ACTUALLY EMPOWER THOSE WHO PAID FOR BUILDING THAT UNIVERSITY?
Did you "Empower them or EXPLOIT them"?

Romance › Re: Ladies: A Romantic Man, Or A Responsible Man? by lastpage: 9:06am On Dec 11, 2012
Em2va: In the real world, Men cannot be responsible and at the same time romantic! Its one at a time. Only women might be able to do that. Men are not as multi tasking as women. A woman can have kids, do the laundry, dishes et al, and yet do some petty trading; even service her hussy, and yet carry on with life. A man doing that for three days will either breakdown or, angrily work out for a beer or something!!
Not True!

A man can wake up at 5am, wash both cars (his and his wifey), dress up for work, sit over five Management decision-making meetings, remember to fund his wife's account so she can do "shopping" while he is at work, remember her car is due for servicing and arrange for the mechanic to pick it up, forget to eat his Lunch yet remember to order for Chips & Chicken to take home to his wife, branch at a "Joint" and spend thirty minutes with "his Homies" on his way home (even play-away at times! wink ) come home to do Homework with his kids, change the burnt bulb in the kitchen, remember to Hoover the Living room before bed and set his mind to do the Lawn on Saturday. Upon all these, he knows Madam's needs is next before he finally catches some sleep!

..And you say "men cant Multi-Task"? huh huh

Wicked! No wonder men die first before their spouses! Nothing satisfies women! angry angry huh

Family › Re: Why Do Pregnant Women Attached Safety-Pin(s) To Their Clothes/wears? by lastpage: 8:14am On Dec 11, 2012
Part 2.

Growing Up, my great Grand Ma lived so long that most of her children died (at 85yrs,92yrs, 83yrs) even before her and we all lost count of how old she really was, at a stage! Funny thing is she has "died on many occasions" (on particular occasion, she stood up after like four days! she still breathes and you can feel her pulse but that is all there is to eat! No food, no water, just dead-alive kind of thing!)

It got to a stage that when we hear that she has "finally died" every one just shrugged their shoulder and say "Lets wait and see cos you can bet she will still stand up and walk! To cut along story short, it was later discovered by the "elders", after much spiritual investigation, that she has entered a "Longevity Covenant" and would live as long as her 'physical body' will carry her! She was confronted with this fact and she actually said it was true but she had forgotten about it! huh huh She then went on to tell them what to "do" to nullify that effect. I still remember that a very big Turtle was used amongst other things but we little children were not allowed to "do amebo" as we would love to! grin grin
Well, within two days after "the superstition" was done, she finally died ... they refused to bury her for almost a week, hoping but dreading she "walk again"! This time, her breathing actually stopped and signs of "body decay" became evident ...and they finally buried her.

Now, in 2012, the "white folks" are claiming they would be able to extend Longevity beyond what we think is possible! But hey, 'Africans have been doing that" for hundreds of decades! My G.Grand Ma was a "real life example".

Am thinking most of you reading this will also be thinking: Its just superstition, right?

But what will you say when the "white man" develops a "Drug that can cure and replace all the "cancerous" cells in the body" (that's why we die eventually when the body system gets overwhelmed by them)...

What would you say then? I bet you wont say "superstition", right? You will CLAP FOR THEM

Finally, that we AFRICANS have not used our own "superstition/juju" to better ourselves, is not the fault of the "phenomenon" itself (our forefathers used it for human good, we use our own for money rituals!) but a "REFLECTION OF OUR MORAL DEPRAVITY OVER TIME AND OUR SELFISHNESS/SELF CENTERED-NESS!

The Caucasians were a step ahead of us ... and they used their own to develop their lands! Read the history of American and European Masonic Masters and see what they contributed to their continent ...in strange and unexplainable ways!

The Asians were a step below us, but they used their own to develop and invent (China, India, Malaysia, Brazil are good examples) and the result is there for all of us to see.

We Africans are still routed in petty jealousy and hatred (even of ourselves!) and when these other "developed people" see this, they decided that the world NEEDS A SET OF SLAVES and who better than those who have refused to develop themselves?

So what did they do? They "assist us" by brainwashing us, tell us that our own "native superstitions" is evil, (using RELIGION) and ask us to discard it (knowing fully well that it offers an unexplainable short cut to fast-track our development and there would be no more "slaves" (or people who need AID!) and they would not be able to plunder our people, our continent and resources, just like they cant plunder China or Brazil today!).

And what is the result?: Africans (by Origin anyway) who are highly educated and intelligent but lack even the most basic understanding of their "cultural heritage", the advantages in it and how it is possible to harness it for greater good!.

Africans that condemn ANYTHING African! ... out of IGNORANCE, which by the way, is NOT AN EXCUSE!

Nuff said, but its a pity, walahi! cry cry cry

Yomieluv: I once heard that too, that the safety pin is meant to ward off evil spirit from possessing the foetus.
What I don't know is,if its peculiar to Nigeria alone.
If my wife gets pregnant,I will make also make her put on the safety pin,I can't risk having a baby possessed by evil spirit.its better to be called an African man,and have a good child.
I somehow like your post! kiss
Better to be safe than sorry!
Its not just "safety Pins", its "any sharp metallic object" but we all know that a "safety Pin" provides ease of penetration and safety from injury to the stomach, in case she falls on it and does not fall off easily.

My contribution will be broken into two parts (pls skip if you have attention span problem): Part 1.

Its a Yoruba folktale/superstition since l am yet to come across who else does it.

But one thing we must understand about "superstition" is that in most cases, YOU ARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE..... and WHAT WOULD BELIEVE WILL WORK FOR YOU!

As a Christian, l remember Jesus telling his folks that "If you have FAITH (belief), You can tell a Mountain to move, and IT WILL MOVE!

What about "Positive thinking and POWER OF THE MIND"? These are phenomena connected with what you BELIEVE!

In my short time on earth, l have heard it said (and seen it practiced!)that: If you can imagine or conceive it in your mind, you CAN DO IT"!

Thus, my own conclusion is that "The MIND" is a very powerful contraption which if put to maximum use (through meditation, incantation, training, indoctrination, elevation, e.t.c), can do things which beggars belief!

When Galileo Galilee said the earth was not flat (as the scientists/philosophers of his days believed) but spherical even though he has NO EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT THEN, he was said to be crazy, superstitious and a heretic! Well, Centuries later, we now understand that it is those same people accusing him of all these things, that were actually stewpid!

At times, we just condemn what we are ignorant about .....simply to "hide or fully display" our own ignorance!

When Isaac Newton discovered the Law of Gravity while "sitting under an Apple Tree", he was actually banished and said to have gone mentally unstable by other scientists around him!

Trust me, l have seen many things which if not that l witnessed them FIRST HAND, l would have also trashed them as Superstition!

Any Yoruba mother (70, 80's Mum) will know about one Fruit like this (l dont know its English name) which opens half-way like a trap or mouth. When a new born is suffering from some condition which makes the centre of his/her forehead (Yorubas call it "awuuje"wink to palpitate and causes him to get sick (Yorubas call the condition "Ooga"!), all they do is put this Fruit in ordinary water... after a day or two, the Fruit closes its 'mouth' and they give the baby the water in which the fruit was soaked and Voila! The illness disappears and the thumping center of head becomes stable and normal!

You can call it superstition but l know many Mothers here can testify to it! Its real but l cant just explain how/why!

I have seen 'Yorubas' do "bloodless surgery" just with ordinary incantations (words spoken, afterall Bible said the world was created using "words" LET THERE BE Bleep, and it was!).
I have seen Chronic Headache (the one we call Migraine), cured within minutes by putting the victims head against a wall and reciting some "words". That one is child's play, l do it myself and have taught my kids!

Thing is it works, but l cant explain the "science" behind it!
If that is what makes it "SUPERSTITION", then so be it.

...To be continued in Part 2.
