My best friend's son had a hole in the heart. An Ngo funded experts to come for some surgery in Nigeria and my friends son was one of the beneficiaries.

Do you know that immediately the doctors left, half of the kids that were kept in the care of Nigerian health practitioners died. Surgeries that was already successful. Imagine! My friend was lucky because the son was the second child that was operated and the white ppl were still around during the recovery period.This is just one out of many.

My association also sponsored a brain surgery for a kid in a Nigerian hospital that is supposed to be the best in brain surgery. We were happy it was successful, but recovery saddened our heart. The situation became worse than the initial fate of the kid.

So in all, post surgery training for our health officers is key.

God bless you , post operative care is atrocious in this country, that critical period after the surgery and discharge where things like monitoring Vital signs, Pain control, Rate and type of intravenous fluid, Urine and gastrointestinal fluid output are usually done by less than qualified staff.
My father in law has just been discharged by one of the costliest hospitals in lagos with the worst bed sore i have ever seen and he was in the ICU for 4 weeks, just how did they miss it?

The gist is, the developer built a house for my friend in megamund estate, we were all praying and blessing him because he delivered it in 8months and didn't steal their money as we were all suspecting.

Does this OP knows that before 1960 ,Nigeria was a colony entity of the British Empire(with many implications)?

1) Virtually every major institutions that paint a picture of a sovereign nation was either repressed or had to be tied to the colonial master.

2) Our university had to be affiliated to University of London, but it was nevertheless a university because ,then you could apply to the University College, Ibadan to study courses normally studied in the university , though under the supervision of the colonial masters.

Even, the pioneer Vice-chancelors and many of the academic staff of UNN and ABU were expatriates.

3) Currency= British pounds until 1972
4) Medicine, The Nigerian Medical association used to be called The Nigerian branch of THE BRITISH MEDICAL ASSOCIATION.
5) Judiciary= The highest court was the JUDICIAL COMMITTEE OF THE PRIVY COUNCIL.
The Supreme court of Nigeria was only established in 1963.
Before 1960,
(a) there was nothing like SAN, what we had was Queen's Counsel (QC).
(b) There was nothing like The Nigerian Law school, Nigerian Lawyers then needed to be called to British bars at Inner Temple, Middle Temple or Lincoln's inn,all in London.

6) There was no Nigerian army, what we had was The contingent of the British Army, Queen's own Nigeria.
7) Central Bank: although the central bank law was enacted in 1958 (in preparation for Independence), it only became fully operational after Oct,1960.

It's a New estate with global c of o, No fence yet. They are about to start clearing. It's a dry land apparently.

My questions are

1. Is it overprice? Considering it's only 400sqm.

How much does 400sqm cost in neighbouring estates that are developed.

Is this too high a risk, especially as they are yet to have a fence.

Before 1960, Nigeria wasn't even owned by Nigerians and virtually every major milestone have to be established or enjoyed the support/approval of the Colonial master, especially in areas that may pose threats to their interests.

The University of Ibadan was a university before 1960 but not independent (like every other thing in Nigeria) and had to be affiliated to the University of London which regulated its intake, standards ,curriculum and even the courses being studied there. Courses like LAW and ENGINEERING which will make the colonized Nigerians aware of their rights and encourage technological advancement weren't offered before Oct-1,1960.

Even before that date, there was nothing like the Nigerian army (eventhough the N.A has been in existence long before 1960) and other paraphernalia of an independent Nation.

The Op should have asked why the UNN whose enabling law was actually passed in 1955 but didn't open till Oct, 1960?
Why didn't we start studying Law and Engineering in Nigeria before 1960?
Why didn't we have T.V stations until Awolowo established one on the twilight of independence?
Why was there no Nigerian armed forces before Oct,1960?

Four injured as farmers, herdsmen clash in Ebonyi | February 27, 2018 | James Eze

Farmers clashed with herdsmen in Akaeze, Ivo local government area of Ebonyi state on Tuesday with four persons sustaining injuries....

Reports indicated that residents of the community have fled for fear of reprisal attacks from the herdsmen.

It was gathered that herdsmen from Mpu, Enugu state reportedly invaded farmlands in Akaeze and destroyed crops which angered one of the farmers who was attacked with machete when he confronted them.

The incident forced the state Governor David Umahi to ban grazing in the local government area, until investigation into the matter was concluded. NSUKKA—About 40 persons have so far been reportedly killed by some Fulani herdsmen at Nimbo in Uzo- Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, sources told Vanguard at Nsukka Police Area Command, near the area yesterday.

The incident took place barely 24 hours after stories filtered out that no fewer than 500 heavily-armed Fulani herdsmen sneaked into the community preparatory to launch an attack. About seven villages in Nimbo (Nimbo Ngwoko, Ugwuijoro, Ekwuru, Ebor, Enugu Nimbo, Umuome and Ugwuachara) were among the areas attacked.

Ten residential houses and a church, Christ Holy Church International, aka Odozi Obodo, were also said to have been burnt by the herdsmen just as vehicles and motorcycles were destroyed and domestic animals killed.
