Nazgul:
The major reason why most kids are closer to their moms is because a lot of dads out there don't bother to build working relationships with them.

They just settle the bills and move on. Whereras the mom is there all day with them, moulding or manipulating them to love her more. When I was growing up I hardly knew my dad, in fact he was almost like a stranger to me, cos by the time he comes back from work, it's very late and I'll already be in bed sleeping.

I began appreciating him when I started growing older, and saw the magnitude of sacrifice he was putting into the family.

Father's should learn to cultivate the habit of spending quality time with their kids as well. The quality time most men spend in bars, clubs, hotels...etc, if they devout it to building working relationships with their kids, believe me, those children would love and appreciate them till death. Take them out on weekends, talk to them, tell them stories, crack jokes, take pictures, play games...etc. If your impact and presence on your kids is only felt when you're dead, it means you failed them as a father during your lifetime.

I have handle all this before.
She was a fresh graduate. I was an uber driver, we got close and her mouth odour was killing, when we started hugging, her sweat stank so much i gifted her deodorant and mouthwash with money bouquet 💐 and lots of chocolates 🍫 and cookies...

Then i visited her, she was embarrassed because her clothes were on the floor, days old unwashed plates, rough bed, etc.... I used gists and fun to clean and rearrange for her.

Why?? Because no Nollywood actress or mbgn was a pretty as she was.... She could be mistaken for a Foriegner.... And she was humble. So why not.

Then i took her on a vacation, gave her thorough skin wash, made good hair for her, gave her orgasms back to back and she was mine. Till there was a clash in her village, her family was attacked spiritually and she and her mom died of food poisoning the same day. It shattered me but... I learned to fear spirituality

i cannot fall in love with someone who has the above trait... as it takes time to fall in love with someone, and during that time i would realize the above and either try to fix it or bounce.

Super op, I believe new hires come as messiahs because they wrongly believe they can solve ALL problems alone. Error. Humility should be their best friend. Great post!

I'd suggest these for the first 30 days

Day 1- Day 7: Observe, watch, and Listen profoundly (have a notebook to write)

Day 7 - Day 14: Ask questions related to your immediate department

Day 14- Day 21: Score your first wins with an amazing report or emails listing problems you've seen

Day 21- Day 30: Build your allies and team. Join a team.
