My friend dated a chick last year whose mother was a wolee. He hadn't even met the mother and she informed him that her mother got together with a couple of her wolees and they had a vision that my friend IS a liar, IS domineering and will end up being a cheat. Lo and behold this girl was not only a control freak and a seasoned liar, she happened to also be the LovePeddler of babylon who he caught cheating on him. He also did some background check on his ex's mother and found out that she had criminal charges on her for forging bad checks. W.A.W.

Theres something called the spirit of Divination.
That's what I see playing in most of these nigerian churches.
It is prophecy but the source is evil.
A fortune teller will predict your future and it may come to pass.But the spirit behind is not of God,its divination.
Once people learn to differentiate the two they will stop getting deceived.

Absolutely. The bible has shown this. Example, the prophecy of the birth of Jesus. One akata even made fun of Nigerians. He was like "so do you have your personal/family pastor too? Seems like everyone in Nigeria has their personal pastor." Funny, but kinda true. Seems like before the missionaries came and introduced christianity, our folks always had their witch-doctors as consultants. Nowadays, they consult their wolees/pastors (same freakin difference). I despise wolees. Isn't it obvious ?

EXTREMELY gullible. The Visions are always about "doom." Awon "thus saith the lords." Have a friend here who won't even piss until he gets the go ahead from "spiritual daddy" in naija. His "wolee." The truth is always in your bible and you don't need no damn wolee to intercede on your behalf. God has an open door policy and you can always talk to him directly. He and only HE will guide and direct you. Not some 419 wolee.

I am so sick and tired of these prophecies, visions and omens. If no be pastor na "wolee." Or daddy-in-christ. How many marriages and families have been destroyed by these wolees/pastors and their "visions?" Even 419s pay these wolees and pastors to pray for them.

Your girl needs to come out and cough out the truth and quit masking her "affairs" with prophecies. Maybe its the wolee that she's even sleeping with. I hate wolees. I would even pay someone to come out with a new movement - W.A.W (War Against Wolees). A friend of mine was telling me how she was attending this church where about 7 guys all came to her with the same BS pick up line (that they had been given prophecies that she was the one chosen to be their wife. Really? Same vision from 7 different guys??). We naijas are so quick to believe such garbage and easily manipulated. I wish a wolee would try me with that BS. I'd flog his ass to kingdom come.

I am very impressed by the way you take pride in your culture. I get to disgusted at Nigerians who act like they are ashamed of their culture. You wear your culture like a badge of honor, and that is very commendable. The way you also educate people about your culture displays how grateful you are to God for creating your people. As a Nigerian, I just love all of our cultures, whether Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, etc. We are blessed to know where we are from and to say "those are my people and this and that is our custom." I take time to educate African Americans whenever I proudly showcase our rich attires in our rich weddings. The open-minded ones are impressed and even envious. God bless you, brother.

As from me, my people are known for Yoruba Yoruba (j/k).

I'm actually Egba (Abeokuta). Egbas are highly affluent, proud, educated and accomodative people of high integrity. My other half of the family is from Isale Eko, and I do have some Togolese roots from my maternal great grand mother.

people have been breaking hearts before internet was invented and if more people are not succeeding finding their dream spouses on the net, dating sites would have been put out of business by now.

And NL is full of emotional guys who are full of estrogen. Sorry man, no caveman here. The REAL world is risky enough already for me to now begin calling a chick my girlfriend BEFORE meeting her. Seriously, one is opening up his/her world to a plethora of problems if one does that. I'm not ignoring the success stories, however there is such a thing as reducing one's risks of fatal encounters.
