1Sharon:I read it in a book in the library that in the 19th century,British educators brought these rules on beating boys on the buttocks and girls on the hands for the following reasons viz: (1)What you have is what gives you pride. (2) A female has bigger butt and more flesh than the males so that is her pride (3) A male has more muscles and bones than females so that is his pride (4)A woman butt is given to her for beautification and to attract men (5) A man's hand is given him for fighting for survival (6) A man has more muscles and bones on his hands than the females and so a man's hand is his pride (7) A woman has more flesh on the buttocks than the males so her buttocks is her pride (  No gender must be beaten on the part of the body that involves his or her pride(9) Therefore males must be caned on the buttocks and females on the hands since it will not diminish his or her pride. That was their formal reasoning. |

Am doing a project on 'Gender based difference in correctional measures of primary/sec schools' correctional measures includes caning suspension expulsion hard labour etc my emphasy is on caning. I need ur examples from ur school days goggle does'nt give much answers which includes personal experiences I know some people may come here just to abuse and insult me I dont worry since i have seen enough insults and mockery since i was born. In most primary/secondary schools in Nigeria and Africa,there is a norm as far as corporal punishments is concerned. Where caning is allowed: Males students are generally beaten on their buttocks and females students on the palms of their hands. These are the laid down rules although there could be some exceptions like:beating of back,feet,legs As a male student, how did it use to feel like when they beat your buttocks during your school days? I remember during my NYSC days in kano when i used to take night bus from kano to aba. It used to be fun when we chat inside the bus, bought foods and drinks on the roadsides, made jokes, laughed or watched TV. Some males and females would start relationship with each other even though they were just meeting each other for the first time The funniest parts were when robbers waylaid us in some remote forest roads particularly in kogi state This happened mostly during the festive periods like christmas when people are traveling home for christmas The luxurious buses used to move almost together so that if there were robbers in front,they would all park together. About 8 buses may all park together on a road in a remote forest area. The fun was in staying together in such area and running into the forest together. That is one of my most fun memory |

May that also account for my joy in traveling since we must pass through forests with tall trees and also natural settings like rocks, rivers, mountains, valleys In traveling,we tend to stay briefly in each point of the journey.Hence our joy. It could also be the joy of seeing other cities,people,towns,villages and cultures. Also leaving your daily routine and hustles and familiar faces in the city for some time and embarking on journey tend to give us joy due to the freedom that comes with leaving familiar things at least briefly. 1 Like |

I am asking the question because i have come to realize that my happiness mostly comes from traveling. I mean long distance journeys like from abuja to lagos,maiduguri to aba,kano to lagos etc Traveling tends to give me 80% of my overall happiness If i am anticipating a journey in (let's say) a week's time,all through the week before the actual day of the journey,i will be full of joy, happineess and love. A day to the journey,i will be barely able to sleep at night due to joy. While on the journey,i would be so happy. I will be looking at the forests, trees, villages, towns, cities, rocks, mountains, rivers, valleys and plains etc. I always prefer window seat in order to see things on the road I will buy every local delicacy in every town on the road. I discover that other passengers may not be as happy as i am. Others may not even look outside the window but i will continually be looking outside the window in order to see things. I would not sleep through out the journey due to joy. Please has anyone experience this kind of joy while on a long distance journey? Please what could be the reason for such joy? 5 Likes 1 Share |

But as a man making this offer, you should have known that no man will be interested to come and stay with you and experience sokoto A man can only be interested if it was a woman making the offer.They would want to experience sokoto in order to stay with her. Also,no woman will be interested except you are a woman like them. From my experiences so far,both males and females are attracted to the female gender. If you are a male,men and women will NOT be attracted to you.
