Hello house
I have been a silent follower of this thread for long, I have been denied visit visa 2x.
I am self employed and earn the following since the beginning of the year:
January 2022 - N400,000 February 2022 - N453,000 March 2022 - N400,000 April 2022 - N 467,000 May 2022 - N517,000 June 2022 - N484,000
I have submitted online and will soon go for biometric and claim 100k to be my monthly expenses and 5m for my annual income however I realized now I actually spend up to btw 110 to 120k monthly but other times less than 100k.
Do you think I should leave it that way or address it on cover letter
Thanks [/quote
Is your additional section filled?. If no. Explain in there your monthly earnings why it varies and explain that on average your monthly expenditures is 110-120k but average 100k as would be required If yes to my above question. Add a cover letter and do a bit of explanation and ensure it kind of correlates to your 5m annual earnings. Good luck |

What she has in her account presently is not more than #100,000 Well, you can only explain things as they are and provide evidence at hand. Otherwise, they may want to pust the trip a little further to afford all parties the room to fix the holes. |

Senpurelove: Good morning All, I need some further clarification.
We are family of 4 myself, my wife and two lovely girls. My wife applied for s student visa in one of the UK universities. CAS issued, biometric done. But my fear is that ; (1) My wife who is the main applicant has 17 years study gap and in that 17 tears gap she has 15 years working experience where 13 years in within the federal civil service while two years is in teaching experience (2) Her first degree is in French language and she is going for International business mgt in UK. Is there anything to be afraid of. Thanks Nothing to be afraid for, if you and your wife have put in her student's visa application has required by the British commission then you good. If the study gap and change of course were problems the university won't have offered her an admissions to start with |

Funny enough yesterday was my first time of asking a question here. I knew what I went through to be able to post on this platform. Sometimes when you put out a question and get no answer it doesn't directly translate to being ignored it may just mean that the question or worries is no worries and needs no answer. |

Do you have another income or any Savings? Option A: Other regular income Option B: Savings Option C: I do not have any income or savings
Please note: If she choose Other regular income and select from family members, she does not have any money in the account opened for her.
Please how best can we answer this? Thank you all Has she evidence of regular income sent to her by her offspring? Like bank transfers, western union receipts? |

HRprof: At the bolded there are confusion in the letter, it mention your sponsor at the same time mentioned you personal support yourself for the trip. can you explain better. But that is self explainatory......, the eco acknowledged that the applicant had presented additional documents of a sponsor, but doubts on the applicant's personal circumstances(job/business, financies) led to doubts of the applicant's overall intention for the visa application. |

MarryWhiteasap: Bro is it advisable to add a denial report from other countries to a new application? or just state that a denial was issued and move on? let them go and verify by their hands...since it wasn't a ban anyways... If you declare you have a refusal on an application, you would be asked reasons for refusal, if you have one, state or paraphrase things as it is and if needed supply copy of refusal. I have been denied entry to a country in the past and when making visa applications I declare that and declare the reason, never had a case of a refusal due to declaring my airport entry denial. So absolutely no point to not put out information you have as it is. It is what it is. You either truthful with the visa application and get the visa, conceal some info and get banned, or get get away with things but panic throughout the visa processing times. |

My younger brother is a student in the UK and he's graduating in the month of July. I want to attend his Graduation ceremony. please what documents do i need for applying for my UK visit visa. Secondly i use one bank account for both my savings, Salary and spending, is it possible to use that? Thirdly i want to fund the account with 2M, should i fund it in bits within the space of one month (which is this month of May) and include a supporting document like sale of a car or sale of gadgets like phones or a laptop etc or i fund it with a lump sum. Very possible thing to do, but how do intend to explain and defend that act on your application, why you did not do so for a longer-term..? |

adelejane: Hi All,
need an urgent response as i need to submit our application next week.
We are renewing our visit visa.
A brief history....studied in the UK in 2010, got a post study visa which expired in 2013, returned back home before visa expired with no issues.
2015 applied for a 6 months visit visa with daughter , Visa granted, visited for 3 weeks and returned.
Renewed visa to 2 years visit visa in 2018 for myself and daughter, my son was a baby at the time so applied for a 6 months visit visa for him, visa granted and we travelled for 4 weeks and returned.
i personally travelled for 2 weeks for shopping in 2020 just before covid and returned back on time .
Its time to renew again for a 2years visit visa for myself and two children, i own my own business which is doing very well....
In my personal account i have about 7400 pounds, after putting our cost together its a total of 2400 pounds for the 3 of us, as much as i try i can't reduce this amount as it will become unrealistic. Cheapest flight is about 1650 pounds for the 3 of us, hotel i booked is 385 pounds for 7 days .
I have been reading a lot on this platform about not spending two times your monthly income on a trip and its getting me worried. I'm a business woman and sales are unpredictable , I pay myself about 500k Naira monthly , sometimes 400k will depends on sales, but i have a very simple and straight forward bank statement with good inflow and outflow.
I can't do much about this 2400 pounds, its the least i can quote as expense on our visa form and this will leave my personal account with a balance of 5000 pounds. My business account has about 10000 pounds but can't be used as travel money, i have other savings but I don't want anything that will confuse the VO .......my husbands account is not very straight forward so i don't even want to use him as a co sponsor for this application....i have always presented just my bank statement for all previous visas.
clearly i will be spending 4 times my stated income......been thinking a lot about this.....what can i do ? What you read here should not be a worry to your visa process but a caution. There's no definite rule as to how much you can spend or not as against to your earnings. On the other hand the onus is on every applicant to put an application with a reasonable budget as to available resources. Thus, you should be fine with your application if you have self-determined that £2400 is sufficient you and the kids. |

Marviana: Good evening all Happy Ramadan,
I just got a refusal letter. I did my biometrics on the 23rd of March. I think the first mistake I made was to use the black market rate to calculate my salary, I get paid in USD and at the time I applied I didn't know about Oanda or Nairaland and I noticed the Eco's conversion was in Pounds and slightly higher than what I earn. I hope this wouldn't be seen as deceit from my side.
The main reason for my refusal as stated was that there was no inflow of cash from December to March. I agree that there was some payment delay from December to February (3 months). I didn't know how long it was going to take and I had sufficient funds to cover my trip, an invitation letter from a friend who is a British national, he agreed to accommodate me during my 2 weeks stay so we decided that I put in my application instead of waiting for my outstanding salary. I did state I'd be spending 1.1m( 2,123 £)on the trip Payment for March only was made right before I printed my bank statement and went for my biometrics, I honestly thought that would suffice. Exactly a month after my biometrics I was paid for the months owed. (Too little too late).
Please I just want to know how to proceed, how soon should I reapply? Should I also state that I used the black market rate of that day which resulted to a slightly higher salary as calculated by the Eco which was different from what was captured on my statement. How should I prove that the deposit that came in really was for the outstanding salary?
Lastly, is it advisable to use the tourism route this time with a shorter stay (maybe 9 days) given my friend and I aren't on good terms and he's not giving another invitation letter.
Please how do you advise I handle this? Where do you think I went wrong please? I'm stuck. Thank you The bolded and your recent application refused are classed same route.. |

nwaogukings03: Hello house, I submitted 4months (2nd Jan to 29th April 2022) account statement and 3 months (Jan to March 2022) pay slips. In the account statement, the April salary only reflected in the "useable Balance" and not in the closing balance nor in the credit section because i printed out the account statement the same day the salary was paid. I was trying to upload and submit all my documents the night before my the morning of my TLS appointment. I heard the documents must be submitted 24hrs before appointment. Also April pay slip was not ready by the time i submitted my documents. Although i explained these small details in the visa cover letter which i uploaded in the "other" section (for self-service), i keep on thinking that i should have delayed submitting my documents until 30th April morning - the morning of TLS appointment - so that the April salary will reflect in the credit and closing balance of my account statement. I'm also worried if the visa officers will see my cover letter in the "other" section. Would they judge my financial status based on the closing balance or would they acknowledge the useable balance? who knows please? That is wrong information you heard. Just for next application, you can self submit your docs seconds to your biometrics. |

UserTee: @leef2022 I don’t know if I should be excited or not I got an email from SVSappealinfo stating that “ The decision to refuse your visa application has been overturned and our office will now proceed to the next stage of your application. To complete this process, we require you to undertake the following steps: Pay your I.H.S and submit your passport to the visa application centre.”
But I already put in another application, I had my biometric on the 8/3/2022 and I got an email last week 13/4/2022 that application has been received and being prepared for consideration.
They are asking that I pay IHS fee and I submitted my passport to VAC Pls bear in mind the initial IHS payment and the new application IHS is with them (I haven’t gotten a refund for the old application ) as well as my passport for the new application Will they automatically use the initial IHS fee Will my new application be automatically canceled Will I get a refund for the new application Will they know my passport is with them I’m a bit confused as to what to do. My partner and I plan to reply the email on Monday.
Looking forward to your opinion. Thanks Oh mate, if you that owns the success know not if you are meant to be excited or not, how much more myself reading from miles away...?? My personal opinion do as the mail have instructed whilst you put in application for refund of the IHS funds as wound be applicable for previous and current application under consideration. |

Or it’s just the stamped visa Not entirely an unwarranted question if I would say, many years ago if ukvi approves a visa they send you a mail, in it would contain dos and donts of the visa. However that's not the case for visiting visa these days, but for some categories of visa you would still get letter of what to do and how to go about your BRP upon arrival.. |
