Well ya see I started u p this thread (believe it or not) to help someone else in this predicament and this person is Nigerian and I was tryin to obtain an insight into same. Now, all my past is being brought up so what? is it answerinthe oroginal post. *Note, I am not seeking a chronology of events in my own life I am actually 1. trying to gain opinions 2. trying to help someone Does that mean I am a bad person? back to the original post please, |
Thats great! cool! thanks for the imput. Believe it or not its actually NOT about me its about someone form my husbands family and yeah he goes missing for days. Ok well that explains that. |
yeah I have seen it amoung irish culture too but not as much as I have seen it amongst Nigerians here. Toyin you can call me all the names you like. |
ok thank you for your replies |
I just dont know why everyone on this forum hates me when I am trying to learn more about the culture. Obviously it is normal judging by the last poster. |
yeah exactly, just there is one lady I know and she doesnt care where he is at all. She is terrified of him though. Anyway I was just wondering if Nigerian ladies allow these things. Thanks for your imput. |
Hi all, Im just wondering is it quite normal in your own culture for your husband to attend the above without you? This does not apply to me but I see this with others sometimes. I personally cannot and wont allow it and it has never been requested from me either. Are you of the same view? like whether you trust your partner or not, these places are no good for married men as they are easily tempted. So, lets say your husband falls in the door at 4.00am and you had been ringing his phone through the night and he doesnt answer and switches it off like. I know one person who doesnt even bother to call her husband, she just prays and goes to bed. He comes in at anytime, no questions asked. Is this normal? |
Do you reckon 3days max? |
God bless you and your children you beautiful lady! |
pAPERS papers once again he got what he wanted to leave him be to find one of his own. |
I remember a couple of years back my hubby went for a few beers with a few friends in the local nigerian restaurant, the residents of the block were terrified, they called the police and said there was a lot of 'fights' so the police called to the restaurant asked them to stop fighting and the poor guys were like WHAT? were were just jisting, ![]() |
Yes, Sheniqua thank you. That certainly puts more meat on it. @Debosky what makes you think that oyibo people (in particular british and americans) are STINGY? are you out of your mind? |
Not referring to my self actually. I was in fact referring to my husband and his so called studies meaning he watches so much sport he ends up requesting extensions. Don't want to derail from the initial topic. |
Stingy Debosky? that must be the spaniards hey? ![]() |
yeah! its the also main reason why mine has to keep looking for extensions on his school assignments! |
oh yeah when the sports are on I don't say anything! I dare not!!! |
Why is it that Nigerians (any house that I have been to) have the big plasma TV on full blast? I remembered when I visted Nigeria and my sister in law always had the TV on full blast it was soooo painful. Dont get me wrong my family put the volume up to the very top as some of them are of pension age. Before my husband used to put it on full blast too but I politely said that it was so high I got a bit of a headache, he just puts in on a normal hearing level now. Folks, do you think you can live with the TV being on a normal hearing volume? I mean, deep down do you think my husband would be very bothered thats its not on the very highest of volumes? when I asked him he said Nigerians put the TV on so loud so that they can hear the english very well as it is not their mother tongue ![]() |
Well I hope your using condoms the last thing she needs is HIV or an STD. Let me tell you I;m not Nigerian and after I had my daugther I weighed 220lbs! I now weigh 150lbs I got weight loss pills (xenical) and I joined the gym. My husband never went out of his way to go off with someone else. Obviously your using her for your papers or something. |
yes I certainly would sue the manufacturer for negligience. Why dontt you google the Donohue v stephenson case that was the birth of negligience and it involved an insect in a ginger beer. |
I have heard of stories like this here in Dublin of Nigerian men marrying and falling in love with these incredibly beautiful Ugandan prostitutes/ex prostitutes (dont know if they knew though) one even had a baby for one. ![]() |
Defo! glad I am aware of it hasn't happened to me so far but we will have to see wont we? no matter what they have, they will cheat if given a chance. ![]() |
But what I can say also is you might think that white ladies are easy going etc etc ie let their husband out to nightclubs and bars and go out by themselves. Not all are like this. When it comes to cooking and cleaning etc you know you will most likely have to share all that. White women will not let themselves be treated like a doormat thats how these mixed marriages dont work in the end. |
There is one man I know who is a doctor and he is engaged for quite sometime to this Nigerian lady back home. Meanwhile he is three years with a white lady here why is this? becuase she helps him of course. How do you know that the white lady will even marry you? if you have plans of using her for papers (like most) just use her then, and keep your nigerian lady there also and when you sort yourself out you can sort her out alongside. Thats what may happen to me because Im not Nigerian and let me tell you at least I can say Im prepared for it. What about ladies that are not prepared for this? getting kicked to the curb all of a sudden. Suit yourself like most would do. Marry the oyibo and have virgin Ngozie waiting patiently. On a serious note, i really dont know, you know what you have in your mind. |
Poverty? men are kings in Nigeria from what I gather? |
