AjanleKoko:can you please explain more? AjanleKoko:sure. this is because it is easier to carry your phones around and call/receive call (+ other applications) anywhere you are. but the wireline have their own advantages when broadband capacity is required. this is useful when it comes to surfing the internet, broadband/internet television as we have in advanced countries just to mention a few. each types of communication will settle to its own equilibrium as price /time continues. a wireline whose backbone is fibre optics is far more advantageous in capacity but the prices are still ridiculously high. as with the network providers, a wireline linking their different mast and base station makes a lot of sense for a more efficient services since the bandwidth offered is greater than those by wireless. however, this will only make sense in an urban populated area so that the investors can recouple their investment in good time. for rural/less populated areas, wireless link makes better sense. in nigeria and many developing countries, many of these operators began all fully wireless so as to cover as many areas as possible with the limited funds they have. it is only of recent they are now laying the cables to handle the traffic which seems to be overwhelming the wireless. fo |
how does a girl knows a man is a virgin unless been told? |
i think this guy is not given the respect he is due for just because of his origin. this is somebody who brought about parallel processing processor architecture, the main stream of future microprocessor design. what did they do to our own chike obi, the man who solved fermats last principle. not even the likes of newton, bessel, forrrier, langrange, hammitonian, just to mention a little can solve it. neither was he given the prize tagged to the one who solved it |
or probably the status of eyo which was stolen sold or what ever by the president, governor, govt official or knocked down by a reckless boat/ship driver or maybe it is still there , but the absent of nepa light and lack of fuel to run the gen will not make us see it. we could have used a radar to track its position either above or below the ocean, but sorry, our radar is outdated, probably the one installed by the British who bombarded Lagos in 1861. well, i cannot even see the map of Lagos from the Google map, maybe Lagos has been sold off or given to republic of Benin as they did to bakasi ![]() |
you see the three status. ![]() |

solar farming is best around the tropic of cancer/Capricorn where the sun is directly on them. this is good in the desert region say the Sahara. the only advantage of the south is that we receive more sun throughout the year rather than only the summer. |

when an armed robbers kill innocent citizens, it is far more better than what we have just seen. men who are meant to keep the law and constitutions are killing the people they are payed to protect. an armed robber will not just come to you and kill you. he only needs your money. he only kills if he is in danger or if you refuse to cooporate. you give an armed robber 1 million naira cash, ipods e.t.c and tell him he is free to come in anytime he likes, see if he would even slap you rather, he will say this is the type of customer they like. |
what is the UN convention for? even combatant soldiers who have surrendered are not meant to be killed by geneva convention how much more harmless civilians. people should not then blame osama bin laden or even our own mutalab. their own action is far more civilized than what i just saw this morning. i taught this barbaric acts have stopped with the fall of adolphous hitler and the nazis. this is not really different from what happened in the concentration camps and the holocust. |

forget nigeria in electronics production. we may study and design some of the best electronic systems in the world, but we will never even be able to produce a diode |
the next generation migth be a wasteful generation. they are more engauge in playing games, violence, recreations activities such as movies and parting. less people are studing and discoverting as we have in the nineteen century and early twenties century. |
it goes in two ways. its either you come home and secure a job in nigeria as an expertraite or you stay out there and have a job whose wages is far higher than what an average nigerian earn |

(Electromagnetic Radiation is too wide spectra - AM Radio waves to Cosmic Rays) So please be a lil' more specific so we could help out.[/quote]what he needs is a radio freq. meter |
could this be another things fall apart? |
coming back home, i think the problem with engineering in this country is the organization of the profession. COREN and NSE has a lot of work to do. the educational engineering monitoring group of these country of our dear country (NUC, NABTEB, )have more to do. for example, in 2008, i happened to be at the waec centre for practicals in metal work which was held at fed technical college akoka. to my surprise, most of the machines, vice and even work piece dedicated for the examination are what we considered as scarp in my days in the technical school. i wondered what these people are even examining in the first case. engineering in this country is practiced chaotically. every industry i have had the opportunity to visit are not practicing engineering as it should be done. even thou they are producing, they have no standards which they are following, an the visiting COREN/NSE member just visit literally to have ghana must go bags and not see if things are done the way they ought to |
@AJANLEKOKO, in your earlier post, you said AJANLEKOKO:i totally disagree. this seems to be so only in nigeria. during my argument on electrical, i did stress this point. many inventions and discoveries are been made every year. this you will find in journals, publications and engineering magazines. many engineers feels independent after their graduation from school. they feels they are done with reading , not knowing that they have just started learning. we all should see school as a training ground to the challenges ahead. i have been to the national library and seen say a publication on the latest discoveries on fluid mech. for say 1972. these publications are far more advanced than what we learn t in our school curriculum. a typical graduate engineer is meant to get a copy of these discoveries, digest them and applied them to his field of study. in nigeria today, including in our industries, little or no calculation is made except say the civil/structural eng. |
candylips:quantum physic is not mathematics, it is an aspect of physic which dealt with max planck postulate and albert eistein theory which explains phenomenon which cannot be explained using isaac newtons classical physic equations |
AjanleKoko:i am not lying about this . there are categories of lecturer who were doing their phd programs then. they posed some of their own assignments to undergraduates as assignments and test so that they can pass the solutions to their own lecturer for their marks. some others who needed money and want high patronage goes on like this. we have another categories, the sadists. these people neither collects settlement nor are doing it to be forwarded. they are either people who enjoy seeing people fails, people who wants to show you that you are notting comparable to them, thus you cannot afford to step on their toes in anyway, or you are digging your grave out of the school. imagine a lecturer who took us a year 1s work on electricity and magnetism saying at the beginning of the semester course that you can never pass this course. this is a course that is just a little bit above secondary sch physic, but 95% of the class scored 1point. this man does not collect settlement, but is only shear wicked. if you call for your paper, you may be asking for trouble for youself. |
well, you guys, i don't thing any course is more difficult than the other. once you are above the average intelligent guy and more focus, i think anybody can graduate in any course. the main question is are you really interested in your course of study? i was once offered an opportunity to study medicine even on scholarship level, i simply refuse, not because i cannot withstand the academic stress, but i hate hospital environment which makes me sick when i go there. i like multimedia a lot and that was why i went the way of electronics. |
man, go for nestle food. i had been a trainee engineer with the company and happens to know the in and outs of the company. if you are a graduate by the time of your employment, you will be placed as an assistance manager with the company after about 8 months graduate training program. the truth is that unless you are very lucky and highly placed and connected, it is difficult to be employed as a graduate. there are lots of internal politics going on. many of the technicians who have served with the company for long years are always resisting the employment of a young boy graduate to come and boss them. they claim that they are inexperience in handling industrial jobs and project ( which is actually true). they prefers to employ nysc graduates which they use for a year and disposed for another the following year. anyway, i can still give you names as contact in case you need people to lobby for you. |
Bettycarson:visio versus autocad? which is the way to go? |
tkb417:i am not celebrating mediocre. like tkb rightly said, during the first graduating sets of students from covenant university, more than 35 of the students graduated with a first class degree. i now asked myself that is 1st class that cheap? we know what student from schools like ife (oau) passed through to even bag a 2.1 degree. in my school, questions which are meant for phd students are sometimes set as question for undergraduates (although all in the name of see me after lecture if you want to pass) those of us who where clean knew what you pass through to set your exams. some lecturer boast during examinations that he will not check us in and is ready to entertain you bringing a machinery to sit for you. he boast that nobody will tell your machinery to pack is bag and baggage and leave the exam hall when he will see the difficulty of the question. some even boast that your exam paper will be given to you to take home and submit after three month, that you are not guaranteed of passing. if one really want a genius, why not start from say waec level.how many distinctions do you have in your o/level. a first class student is not made in a day. it is a gradual trend. let see how they have perform even from their pry levels. how many of them do comes 1st in sch? |
AjanleKoko:talking of nobel laurets and acheivers, what did our wole shoyinka comes out with? even gani himself, just to mention a few. how many 1st class has acheieved so much or contributed to edu in nigeria than these men? |
AjanleKoko:any piece of the action? |
AjanleKoko:solar panel is a childs play, if you need help, i will give you a thousand % |
i wonder what would have become of albert einstein in nigeria of today. this guy came out with a pass in the polytechnic, but today is refered as the greatest scientist of all time. micheal faraday was learnning a pry 2 mathematics in his early 20s but i was studing his theorems and laws in the university. thats why we will never grow. we place so much values at cert. rather than intellects. this gave the lecturals oppurtunity to sell marks for money and bed. well, lets see how our cert. will take us to the promised land 2020. |
