I like the way they are being called out. If you can punish them, call them out, shame them! |
Another Chairman to act for the next 3 years. |
Even though I agree that Covid-19 is real and really exists in the communities, I keep wondering how these numbers are manufactured. Feedback from 2 I know who taking precautions in case their ailments are Covid-19 shows that it takes forever to get through to NCDC for perform tests and get results. How then are the numbers generated? |
I will earnestly love to see City win today and Liverpool fight it out against the outing champion in their next match. |
Well if anything, I like it that the party members themselves are speaking out. You can't be a leader and watch things deteriorate. If you put functioning mechanisms in place is a different thing, but allow things take whatever course fate or human factors dictate. |
On the contrary, 4pm today looked like 8pm. It was like we swapped weather with UK today. |
mrchineke:. Can we start with yours please? How can we ever progress by always avoiding the issues and focusing on the messenger? |
Besides traffic, poor water supply is one of the biggest issues in Lagos which the government seems to have no idea of solving. You pay exorbitant rent in places like Lekki, Surulere, etc yet can't have clean water. This is unimaginable in a "metropolitan city". Growing up, we used to drink water directly from tap, but try it now at your risk. |
These guys are everywhere and their evil works know no boundaries. See attached phishing attempts sent twice with two different accounts. Don't be a victim by clicking everything you get...
|
inoki247:...and take ownership of lands. In as much as some of our traditional heritage need to be preserved, it feels like the Nigerian traditional system is just a money making platform, with practically no contributions to the wellbeing of the people. |
No sharing of Holy Communion! Then the reopening will be meaningless to Catholics. |
Apparently you're still in competition with her Ex. Since you won him with your sexual prowess, you need to use similar zeal in working hard and smart to overtake her ex. That way, the narrative will change. All the best! |
It doesn't look to me that it's bad for a lecturer to lecture in more than one University. Apparently, that's the concept of visiting lecturer. Consequently, I expect them to be fairly compensated for such services. However the watchword should be fairness. I don't expect the lecturers to be paid like full time staff in each of the institutions the lecture. |
FCT 29! Effect of Kyari's burial activities now surfacing. |
Do these guys have second (main) offices in the UK? Most of the positive cases are UK returnees. Meanwhile, they're supposed to be working in Nigeria. And how comes they are mostly returning around 20-th of March? |
helinues:Exactly my point. I don't know what Lagos' rating will be in terms of water supplies. But am sure it'll be very poor. Most homes depend on either their boreholes (which for a lot of places it's still an eyesore) or depending on the truck-pushers' water. Shouldn't this be one of the focuses of a megacity? |
And when you come down to Nigeria, I think Lagos is the worst. Not even the expensive VI and Lekki are left out. The government has a huge task in this regard. |
Though FFK went overboard with his statement, I don't think the bill makes any sense at this point. I read reactions that such bill will check the bribery and corruption that has made the power issue festered. But how can we survive with this alternative power source (which is becoming the mainstream source)? Why should the citizens always suffer for the government's inability to fix the root cause of issues? |
My brother you don't need any help. If their problems pass your own why you dey worry. How many minutes does it take to pray the Lord's prayer taught by Jesus himself for instance. Listen to them and you'll hear endless repetition of words and sentences. Cheers |
Iamgrey5:How does it make a difference if the judge is Igbo? Was it not a case between two Igbo men? Or is Hope Hausa? |
Petyprincess:Hope you'll contribute to that purse?! |
Wetin come happen to the occupy Lagos?! |
cococandy: on point . Taking such things to heart are some of the major causes of marital issues today. Everyone needs to be comfortable in my house. If I can't bear it, I won't allow them come in the first place. |
Homeboiy:Exactly. I would rather be more comfortable the guy goes serve himself than my wife always having to serve him when she's not a maid, and when the brother in law is not the husband. Like someone said, kini big deal?! |
Call for private sector involvement. Next thing we will hear... it's been banned, and people's hard earned investments will go to the drain. One problem with our government is inconsistency in policy making, affecting the ease of doing business index. |
Honestly, the kekes and okadas can be real nuisance, especially on the highways; obstructing your path, bashing your car, etc. However, it'll be good to know the alternatives the govt is putting in place. Due to poor town planning a number of Lagos roads are not motorable; a lot of Lagosians don't own cars; the traffic is already terrible even to drive in the shortest distances; these are massive sources of livelihood for a lot of Lagosians; etc. So alternatives, particularly in the inner roads are imperative for this to have a reasonable chance of success. Personally, I think the govt should have rather considered more regulation/control of these guys than outright ban. |
Very nice that this is finally happening. However, it's very interesting to see how swiftly the DSS obeys the order of the FG, while repeated orders of the courts remain unheeded. It's well with our democracy. |

Arsenella007:I don’t understand the denial. Are they blind not to have seen the billboard? |
Lie or no lie, does it matter? Under what pretext have they re-arrested him within 24hours of his release (after weeks of blatant disobedience of court orders)? I really don’t understand the rationale for pressing fresh charges by the DSS after a bail condition is met. It only looks like a torture situation to me, rather than meting out justice (more like saying: “you’ll rot in this jail”). It also looks like a mockery of the judicial system, and the system looks helpless against this ugly and despondent trend. I hope these people know the table may turn one day. |
Call out the so-called hospital until it and its management are made to pay for their crime. This is not right. |
To what effect exactly? He hasn’t been confirmed, yet he has been in that position for years now. This only proves the legislative arm toothless before the executive, while the executive acts with impunity. |
