Make MURIC no catch them o, because that’ be another trouble |
What the f*ck is this?! |
Latidoh1:Hope you ain't joining to send them "home"? |
VulgarLee:Honestly I feel you on this. Because am wondering why she'll keep something so diabolic and fetish where it could easily be found. I just hope it's not a set up, otherwise I must say her village people strong mehn! |
We really can’t celebrate our mothers enough and we don’t need dedicated days to do that. But is it just me wondering how many of those days we’ve got?! |
oyi1:I agree completely. For a long journey, those proposed solutions will likely fail. I used to dread road journeys then. Avomin a good antidote if I must travel long distance by road. |
lilmaydee:. Apologies bro... but this really cracked me up! Just do your thing bro. Self-respect, self-esteem come first... |
Binikingdowm:I think the bigger issue is with the leaders than it is that of outsiders. The leaders should consciously make use of funds at their disposal for infrastructural developments; they should improve accountability. I was highly disappointed when I first set my foot in Port Harcourt. Heightened crime rate is apparently also responsible for this. |
GavelSlam:You do have a point. But the government needs to be innovative in finding solutions to these issues . They should expect this much if they want to tie the solution to wage increase to increase in VAT. The timing of policies matter a lot in getting buy-in too. We’re experiencing double digits inflation rate and this is coming. How about consciously reducing the cost of governance for instance. There is very little effort at diversifying the economy. The government needs to think on its feet. |
As important as water is, a 'megacity' like Lagos still has acute shortage of portable water and makes little or no use of the mass body of water surrounding it. Most places in Lagos have no public water, some of the areas get dirty and smelly water, many others make their boreholes, while the borehole water in some places are as good as mud (e.g. Aguda and parts of the Island). The government is also not keying into this natural resources to ease the scourging traffic problem. All these make me ask myself lots of rhetorical questions: what do I benefit from the government in return for the huge tax and other levies. I provide my security, electricity, transport, water and other needs; I get stucked in traffic day in day out. Its really not about counting huge IGRs! |
When you see this massive IGR figures for Lagos you wonder what other states are doing! However I get really upset when I juxtapose this to the benefits I enjoy from the government. See the crazy deductions in form of PAYE every month, yet I have to pay for my water (as there’s never good water from the government source), pay to dispose of my dirt (as lawma or visionscape are never available), pay for my security (with agberos hovering unchecked like hawks), pay for my electricity (in a megacity like Lagos), struggle through mad traffic everyday (with tankers perpetually sharing the tiny bad roads with everyone else), .... So for me, it’s not about generating trillions in IGR; I need to get value for what am paying for. |

It’s funny how these guys allow the game to take complete control of them. The Simeone’s celebration is gangster

See spectators Seriously, i wish a government with strong will can demolish most of those structures on Lagos Island. I wonder how the occupants sleep at night. |
ianq:Lolll. Though one can hardly vouch for another, but as much as I know, he's one hell of a faithful guy. But I'll let him know as advised ![]() |
This topic brings a close friend to mind. He's been in this relationship with a lady he met about 4 years ago. The lady decided she was going to study abroad, couple with having some brothers and dad abroad. The guy felt obligated to support her by giving her time to study. Months turned to years and nothing has happened. Now she's trying to get her green card and therefore need more time to settled down, meanwhile the guy feels he is advancing in age. He's doing well in Nigeria and not fixated on abandoning everything to move abroad (probably illegally for sometime). The lady is threatening to quit if the guy can't wait any longer. The earliest she feels she can settle down and have kids is at least 3 years time (not guaranteed surely). Am even confused about his predicament myself that I don't know a suitable advice for him right now. Bottom line is that people face different difficult situations before and duration marriage. It takes the grace of God, patience and strong will to overcome . |
What’s with all these inconclusive elections?! |
kolnel:some lives were lost and he's doing the right by condemning the uncivilized act. People's lives comes before any political affiliation. We'll need to condemn this kinda politics being played especially in the south pole of Nigeria. Peace! |
lionness:One of the reasons the USA is what it is today is because of immigrants. I bet Lagos also shares this trait. So stop the hate, it pays no one. Peace! |
Why always Rivers?! Do we just change the name to “Rivals”? Majority of these folks are supposed to be brothers and sisters and relatives of some sort. When you’re supposed to be united against common external obstacles to your progress. I was very disappointed when I first set my foot in PHC. This type of disunity is obviously one of the major causes of this backwardness. Peace! |
I don't think it's right to so militarise elections. However, the way these guys kill their fellow brothers and sisters in the name of politics gives complete credence to this strategy. We really need to grow as a people . |
I think I applaud Amaechi's display of maturity through this interview. This is in big contrast to Oshiomole's interview, who instead of calming frayed nerves went on and on with fueling the flame. Even PMB called for calm. |
cnwamo:You just spoke my mind |
fergie001:- and meant to be wasted (just helping Adesina complete his sentence correctly). Am baffled at the continual reference to “after swearing in”, “after May 29”, etc. Just feels like Buhari and his team are not already in power, and need to first be sworn in to appoint members of his cabinet. It’s well ooo. |
texazzpete:- You don't need to add the insult. But am also quite disappointed with the voter apathy in the south pole of the country with arguably the more educated people compared to the north. Until the south can grow it's political enlightenment and eschew this apathy, it can only play single fiddle to the north as far as the Nigerian project is concerned. |
Babasaraki:- Will that ever happen? Does the youth's tomorrow ever come in Nigeria. Even if it's drawing closer the youths themselves will push it back. The 2019 and previous elections in Nigeria is a clear evidence of this. |
IvarTheBoneless:- Am not from the East, but I detest thuggery. One of the reasons the youths' "...tomorrow " never comes. Promoting hatred and blindly fighting for politicians that will never bring their children to the war front. Think about it man! |
Lakeshizu:- Osibanjo is their son . Just for laugh o! Let the best win; let the people be sensible enough to know that the politicians will not kill themselves for us |
martineverest:- I don’t think you should have soiled this very enlightening point with the other paragraphs. |
chigoziri2403:- lmao @using a Nokia torch |
We also appeal to Nigerians of goodwill and our supporters to provide standby electricity this night at these collation centres.[/quote]- So it’s the electorates that should provide electricity. I am not understanding |
IvarTheBoneless:- one of the thugs on the loose. Sane Nigerians beware! |
