The Police should take their investigation off the public glare for now. How far have they gone with Evans despite the media trial? They should build a water-tight case for once and let this man face the wrath of the law for his atrocities. |
Don't ride on a tiger if you wouldn't want to end in its belly. He who is constrained to dine with the devil should at least use a long spoon. |
It will be very hard to get the ticket of PDP. With Ameachi still in APC, he is a persona non grata. Unless he is planning to contest under these fringe parties who are mere appendages of the two dominant parties. With the recent mosque demolition brouhaha, it will be tough to make him acceptable to the 'K' states up North with magical votes. |

Nothing on their shirts suggest that they are campaigning for 3rd term for the President. But if it is true, they should be seen as purveyors of anarchy that should be visited by the DSS. Why would a group of people want to plunge the country into unnecessary political turmoil? To what ends? The President should immediately and sternly dissociate himself from such group. |
Did the Prof see and touch any yam? |
Let's watch as events unfold. May God spare our lives. |
If that was his first appearance after many months of inauguration of the 9th Assembly, then he should forfeit allowances for the period of his absence. Or is he on maternity leave? |
The Prof shouldn't bother explaining anything to anyone which might bring further questions and stiffer scrutiny. For instance, if the team was truly put together to assist him, then the team members should take directives from him and report back to him. We all know this isn't the case. Opinions have been formed already about the happenings a couple of days back and if anyone is trying to downplay it, let it be with superior argument. |
This might just be conjectures from the mind of the writer. Except PMB handlers are ready to cut ties with Tinubu, which might be too early, they won't remove his man and replace him with his estranged former ally. Come to think of it, if the party believes that Ambode isn't good enough for Lagos State, why would he be good for the entire Nigeria? |
Did she touch the yam? Granted that Maina's case was the cause of her problems with the presidency. The question is 'did she knive the yam?' |
The hunter now the hunted. Obviously the contract was a scam ab initio hence the litigation that led to the recent judgement at the International court was premised on fraudulent foundation. Now that the two men have pleaded guilty to the charges brought against the company, I trust that Nigeria Government will waste no further time in appealing the judgement and MUST bring all perpetrators including their willing local collaborators to justice. |
Here we go again. Lest we forget, the Senator clearly stated that the ordinary 'noise maker' Ministers, who were not even elected, who never went through the rigors of campaign, are enjoying SUVs. So why should Nigerians make noise about the elected senators, who are superior to the Ministers getting 'ordinary' SUVs The bottom line is that both the Executive and the Legislators are extremely wasteful and insensitive. We should condemn both and not scapegoating just an arm like Nigerians did to the 8th Senate. |
You cannot be a pastor and successful politician without compromises. It's not possible. |
The Oligarchs can attempt so many obnoxious things but I strongly believe they won't attempt to go to that extreme |
Maybe a parliamentary system wouldn't have given opportunity for this arrangement. |
Say what? How was the money expended? If I hear say OBJ spend 1 billion of his personal money to resolve anything. |
He was the same person practically crawling at the feet of Elzakzaky some years back when he was still in opposition. He even called the Nigeria Army genocidal when they clashed with Zakzaky's IMN. Guess who is the major adversary of the group now. The modern day self-made Buharist once considered GMB as expired and unsellable. |
Congratulations to the investor. But What if power supply becomes staple and Kanoites no longer buy fuel for generators? What if electric cars become the vogue, and train becomes the adopted alternative for mass movement of people and goods? Never mind as those things may not happen soon. |
Those saying the Vice President's growing wings is in the course of being clipped may be right after all. |
Truth be told, no one changes a winning team. Changes could be made but not total overhaul. Afenifere should be concerned about their core mandate which is the protection of the interest of the Yoruba Nation. |
Indonesia has the largest population of Muslims in the with majority being Sunnis, similar to what we have in Northern Nigeria. Tell me any excuse anyone would have to marry or give out any underage child in the name of any archaic culture whether from the North or the South. |
A former senator once said harsher things than this. Guess what, he has since moved to APC and he is now a Minister of the Federal Republic. |
Sometimes the best way to help a government is to constructively criticise it. |
These are student leaders that are supposed to be neutral. How would they be able to protect the interests of their members who they have reduced themselves to praise singers for crumps. Well, we know most of them are lackeys of these Chief Executives |
Governor Dapo should now up his game, hit the ground running and appoint commissioners. |
Truth is, the lots of insults, bile and hatred directed at Okorocha by some his kinsmen is as result of his association with APC and not necessarily because he underperformed or stole their money. |
Okorocha may not be far away from the truth. But then, has his suspension from the party been lifted? |
iAudio:I think there's a basis for comparison. Both are former military Heads of state and both have also returned as civilian presidents. The thing is, one is viewed as being Pan African and commands respect international while the other is viewed as mere ethnic champion lucky to have power thrusted on his laps by well oiled political machineries. |
Killed? Not that they died of other causes like accident or sickness but KILLED. There's every likelihood that the number will be higher than that. The 89 Nigerians might be those with valid documents, how about those with expired papers and other with no means of identification? How many South Africans have been killed in Nigeria? |
Such audacity! This is one of the reasons why some people kicked against RUGA in their States Maybe the intention of the Miyyetti spokesperson is to infuriate the Ohanneze and make them do or say things they wouldn't and shouldn't have said or done. |
We should rather hope that the learned judge base their judgement on the veracity of claims by the two parties instead of mere technicalities as seen in some other judgements. I heard the Judges also consider the 'Pulse of the Nation' before delivering judgement of such magnitude. The question is 'what is the pulse of the nation at the moment?' |
