Celcius:This is why Education should be made compulsory before one can be allowed to comment on a public forum, especially that element of English Education call Reading Comprehension. INEC didn't not withdraw the motion to recall Dino, looking at it fundamentally, INEC does have to file any motion asking any court to recall Dino, it is their constitutional enshrined duties and responsibilities, once they receive a valid petition that meets the constitutional set criterias. Secondly, the above said motion, was a motion to serve Dino the petition via alternate means since Dino has been evading service. Thirdly, this motion is mute as INEC have already served Dino in his office with pictures and public statements with journalists attesting to that. So it was unnecessary to continue pursuing a mute matter in court and only right they withdraw it. The truth is, I have no sacred cow in this process. So don't care if Dino is recalled or otherwise. It will not add one iota of benefit to my person. I just love the political and democratic process and it shows that, as a country we are maturing and following peace due process of the law to settle our differences. Internally, I want the recall process to succeed as it will put current and future elective office holders in Nigeria on notice and will reignite and reawaken local constituent voters to their role and the fact that politicians actually work for them and they have the power to sack any non performing one. |
emperordelis:Nonesense, preek can shrink even to the size of peanut, depending on the weather, fear, emotions, anxiety, your state of mind, etc and other external factors and none have anything to do with juju. This is a well documented behavior of the male organ, google is your friend....use it and it's even free but valuable. |
dominique:You don't run into danger fool-headed, you don't know if the guy is armed or if he have companies in the vehicle who are also armed. That's why it's better to leave it for the professionals, while at it gather as many evidences as possible from a safe distance, which would lead to their arrest, which is exactly what they did. |
9jvirgin:Thanks for not refuting the fact that you are one. |
9jvirgin:It takes one to know another...only brain dead people spend their time and energy and on thread they consider 'dumb'... It makes one wonder if they were speaking through their anus or under the influence of expired weeds. |
9jvirgin:I will say, dumb enough to catch your attention and comment...that is enough in the grand scheme of things. |
Celcius:There is no point waiting for a learned colleague to show what is in black and white. The Nigeria constitution is in the public domain, you can download a copy and verify yourself that the Senate has zero role to play in a Senator's recall process. Please, disregard utterances from Senators, they often speak as if, they have almighty powers, consult the constitution, it is black and white. |
Celcius:There is no constitutional requirement for the Senate to verify legitimacy of the votes, that is the function of INEC. The only role that the Senate have is that, the Senate President will receive a certificate of recall from INEC, if the exercise was successful. INEC then declare that Senate seat open and proceeds to set time table for new election with zero input or direction from the and not withstanding any grandstanding from the Senate. |
Celcius:Dino obtained an order from a court after INEC received the signatures. The Judge's order stating that all parties should maintain the 'status-quo' freezes the 90 days period. The recall in flow in progress with a revised INEC time table, use google. Dino will loose if he sues relying on the 90 days as INEC could not do that due to Dino's own actions. This also prevents people from using court delay tactics to evade due process. Plus, base on the reading of the constitution, the 90 days triggers the time within which INEC must conduct a referendum vote in the local wards, after its has verified that the submitted recall signatures met the minimum threshold....so INEC have some time in between as there is no stated time for them to complete their determination as to if the signatures met the minimum threshold. |
sureteeboy:The latest iPhone is $1,000.00; videoing the in boxing of an item you bought for almost N400,000.00 is not unreasonable...you don't buy such items every day, not even every year. I come wonder why the thing dey hard to open shall. It appear all the scammers efforts were spend on the packaging. |
madridguy:You must be leaving in the village, ladies have been working without bra since the turn of millennium. |
BHM01:Have seen or head someone addressed as an Ex King before?....Thing very well. Our history books still call him King Jaja of Opobo, Queen Elizabeth I, etc. |
I beg, make I go sleep; OP please post an update when & if she denies, and don't forget to attach the pictures... |
Ore000:Ibori didn't go to prison in Nigeria, all charges against him Nigeria were quenched. Plus, he was given a hero's welcome back to Nigeria and he is still been celebrated, consulted and reverend even till today in many quarters in Nigeria. Though, Adichie is a feminist to a fault and sometimes is blinded by her zealous pursuits to extol the female gender and as such I will not subscribe completely to her views on this. Agreed, women thieves, prostutions, gang members, professionals, etc are looked at and judged differently compare to their male counterparts...but Haba! that woman steal plenty money oh. So it is very difficult to conclude that, the extend to which she is currently judged is because of the heights of her stealing or if the 'woman factor' have crept in...to me, it's a toss up. |
kirchofff:You lack comprehension and ability to analyze things and infer likely occurrence: Let me break it down for you in ABC format: A. fraudsters obtain the BVN, account & BIO info of a customer either through online phishing, clicking-jacking, XSS attack or through lost of wallet, robbery, etc. B. Frausters enters Oluwole, to make an authentic looking ID with the victiim's BIO data/contact but with frauster's picture. C. Approach the Bank about some 'wrong BVN' data that need to be changed...The bank changes the info and they now have not only to the victim's current account, but all accounts in any bank and future accounts. That's it in ABC. They can also do all of the above through an innocent proxy under their control and who must have been incentivized, this way they can maintain a degree of separation...Even with their pictures on file, it will be difficult to catch them after the crime has been committed, because the Authorities wouldn't know their name or address. Read more on identity thief, there many more scenarios....google is your friend! |
This smell like scam or an attempt to bypass or test the very safe guards that are inherent in the BVN system. Come to think of it, you indicated that all the datapoints (e.g. picture, fingerprint) that can be used to uniquely identify you are 'wrong' and only the ones (name, date of birth, etc) that can be misrepresented or stolen are correct. You can see why the bank are turning you down. If this is allowed, nothing stops a fraudster to obtain the name, DOB, etc of a victim and approach the bank to change the picture and fingerprint. |
eagleonearth:Not true! The same way the hotspot is/was open to you is the same way it is open to hackers and thieves. The danger is, you are all connected to the same single interface and they can see all your internet traffic plus hack into you laptop and do whatever with it. |
madridguy:O boy, speak for yourself only...na only you him represent oh! |
SuperS1Panther:Saraki's interpretation regarding the Army proscribing IPOB is accurate. The Military does not have such powers. Saraki also deferred to the President and asked him to do it legally, which the President did and signed before going to the U.N. |
I will advice that you unblock his number and no need to change your number. By asserting your independence, you have lay down a mile marker and your father now know it. The marker might not be the boundary yet, but your father know that, you are setting a limite, he might test marker again with those lines of question, try to maintain your grounds and he will gradually respect the boundary. |
It's very ironic that, 'Police is your friend' is very much true, if you are a thief facing mob justice. |
HungerBAD:A re-write of a million lines of our code will not change a thing. Rape is not a crime against the State, as a result the prosecution cannot proceed without the victim. And if the victim decides to settle out of court, there is nothing the Judge or the Prosecution can do about it. To change the outcome, one must discourage victims from settling out of court, which is nearly impossible. It is our culture as Africans to forgive especially if the offender is remorseful and begging us. We naturally don't ignore those pleads, couple with the influence of elders, senior relatives, etc who will converge to 'settle' the matter...before you know it, your desire to continue with the case has been greatly weakened. |
khiaa:Can you please quote an authoritative source stating that Rachel Dolezal benefited from affirmative action? NAACP clearly stated her position with them from which she resigned was not based on race. And there are no indications that her position on the Police Ombudsman was based on race either, notwithstanding that, she identified as African American in her application. When she attended Howard, she was still white, so definitely did not benefit from affirmative action either for admission or scholarship. She obtained all her positions and success purely on her merit. Try to get your facts straight before denigrating somehow and not blindly copy blogs and news groups, spend sometime to research and ensure that your statements are true. |
khiaa:I take it that, you are one of many angry blacks who felt cheated by her, off of the whiteman's handout reserved and pass down to all blacks in form of affirmative action quotes. Am not in the same boat and genuinely believe her story and as a Blackman in the US, I don't need those affirmative action handouts, I can hold my own competitively and on the merit with anyone. |
FA13:The Bible says...Christ fulfilled the laws, so that we under the dispensation of grace will be free from the law and have no need to live by the laws and if Christ has fulfill it, we are then free. He did not break aka abolish the laws, but suspended it under the dispensation of grace. People will still be saved by the law once the dispensation of grace is over. Israelite sacrifices will return, tithing will return, atoning for sin by killing animals will return, the Bible say in those days, the Israelites will cry to him on account of their persecution and suffering and he will hear them. Many Israelites still practice the law today and there is nothing wrong with that, because they have chosen not to be part of the dispensation of grace. The problem with practicing the law is, if you do one; you must do all. So you can't observe tithing without keeping the other laws... |
lonikit:Stoning adulterer & adulteress to death is also biblical and a law of God himself. The Bible say, he that keep one aspect of the law is obligated to keep all the laws, else that individual is guilt of all. Why go into the laws to chose and pick which to obey or preach? |
Tithing is part of the law, Jesus fulfilled all the laws on our behalf...there is nothing like tithe in the new covenant. All that is required of New Testament Christians is to give cheerfully, willingly and not out of an obligation to give. Neither Jesus nor any of the New Testament apostles or writers admonish Christians to tithe...following their footsteps and teachings is enough. |
nairanaira12:It's true, he was not the one that said the stuff about his wife, it was his DJ that mentioned his wife and the sex slave thing. Forget the OP and is written up there...I have not heard the name Young6ix before, but just like in everything I read, I always do a research to see if what is been reported can be traced to the source and you can find Akpororo's joke that spark the whole thing, Young6ix response and his DJ response online. From Akpororo's joke and Young6ix response, it appear they are both very good friends and from all these, it looks like they have settled and put this behind them. |
lafflaff123:Na so I do too, but I no see anything; until I pop open the cover of my phone...o boy! the live show no here oh! Try am make you see...if you no see am under the cover, remove the batteries you must surely see it there, these nowadays show-girls have a way of hiding the goodies under/behind anything in close range. |
Definitely not condoning what these guys did, they deserve to die after the due process of law. However, it is striking to note the aggressive of the soldiers here...they shot one/both in the leg and thereafter, summarily executed one on the spot because he failed to confess or/and urges his co-conspirator to do likewise. I know soldiers are erractic, but this is barbaric and it might not be unconnected with the fact that the victim is an Hausa, it looks as if the soldiers were on a vengeful mission. |
Offering is not an obligation and it is not mandatory. No where is it compel in the scriptures. Base on the Bible it must be from a willing heart, given cheerfully. Setting an amount for offering is not biblical, there is no biblical precedent and it goes against the standards set by the scriptures. The Pastor or Church clergy should not burden the members to take care of them financially, all the leaders of the early church did other works that sustained them financially and they were more effective than any present day Pastor. Finally, just like the members of the church put their faith in God and pray to Him for sustenance, the Pastors and Clergymen should do the same. Jesus did not send his disciples out to go preach about getting money to maintain themselves or the church, he sent them to go spread the gospel about His death, resurrection, salvation and His second coming, the other things like shelter or substance may or may not follow. Stop this nonsense! And concentrate on preaching the message of salvation. |
