Junior66:I think the 12k 'win' was those free play...that is they will tell you not to put any money on the line...just pick a free play and 'see what you would had won had you put money down', once you make that free play, you will win big! That will convience you to put money on the line for the next play, after all had you put money on the line for the last play, you would have been 12k richer...not knowing that all na game. |
expressglory:I doubt if Lere forge that letter,. that is the same version that is posted on guardian news paper's site... http://www.nigerianewspaper.com.ng/2016/07/zenith-bank-issues-press-release-denies.html The letter itself looks suspicious....Press release on company's letterheading with no address, no phone number, no date, not even the name of the person that signed it...haba! |

No surprise here, he that pays the piper dictates the tune. All these are all sponsored protest, follow the money and I wouldn't be surprise if all those banners, posters and T-shirts, etc were directly sourced from the individual on whose behalf the protest is beign carried out. These women know who butters their bread...in fact, if the guy against whom, this protest is taking place now, approaches this same NGO tomorrow, with the right amount and 'motivation', the next protest will be in his Favour...all na job, just to make the daily bread. |
Cherishing:Na wao! Why is it that, when a guy is the topic of the conversation, the very first thing that runs through most ladies' mind, albeit subconsciously is...Can/Can't I date him? Guys have similar disposition when the topic is ladies, but surprisely these same ladies critic these guys for having such canal thoughts. |
OP, if all you got are these pictures, it means your heading is wrong and the boy is still alive. If you look at the two pictures keenly, you will notice that, the events in the first picture where he is lying on the road as if he is dead occurred before the events on the second picture, where he is sitting down on the grass in the middle of the road. Some clues on which of both pictures occurs first...isolate everyone that appeared on both pictures, you will noticed that, they had a keen interest and attraction towards to scene i.e. natural human curiosity aka Lagos busybody...but on the second picture, that curiosity seen to have faded and most of them have even turned away from what first draw their attention there.. |
OP, can you explain or ask your source about the second picture? He appear to be sitting on the grass on the road divider and it looks like the beating has stopped then....or did he later succumb to his injuries or faking his death to avoid further beating? It's very unfortunate, giving his age his masterminders are living free while he pays the ultimate price. |
double0seven:You must be new to 9ja or plain naive...only a phone from the government or EFCC will silent Zenith Bank. |
Wallade:You talking all these nonessential about their culture, while you hide behind a mouse, keyboard, computer and the internet that were alien and not part of there culture. |
lomprico:Our forefathers did not also use Internet, phone, electricity, vehicles, etc and they were just fine...do you care to also practice and preserve those aspect of their ways as well? |
What is..."Laws of Northern Nigeria"? Is that sharia law? |
good stuff, sorry...I couldn't read the over 400 pages of comments...are you still shipping to Nigeria from the US and do you have a website? |
If you remove the big big grammar, you will see that it is very simple and you can aver arguments for and against from everyday life experience... The question in it's simple form is: Is one's psychological and educational testing score a true reflection of their dignity and worth? i.e. if you set a mathematic test for a classroom containing individuals of the same peer group, and by tabulating the results, it is true that, the individuals that 100% have more dignity and worth than e.g. the individuals that scores 80%? You have to be careful here, because this question have a lot of landmines and the Professors might want to see how you guys artfully maneuver yourselves around the landmines. If you argue that, it is true, then you fall into the stereotypical landmine....because it is not universally true that the individual that scores 100% is more worthy than the individual that scores 80%...but the irony is, in reality the only universally true measure with which we measure people's dignity and worth are through these psychological and educational tests ....Did you see the paradox? On one hand, we all agree that, the fact that you score 100% does not mean you are more worthy than the individual that scores 80%, but in the same breath, we also agree that, the only way to universally test your worthiness is through these tests. e.g.... The Nigeria Senate is full of highly educated individuals, who have excel in most psychological (aka they are not crazy) and educational (aka they have PhD, Doctorate, etc) test, but if you see how they behave e.g. curse each other out, fighting, climbing fence, chopping money, etc..you can conclude that despite that high psychological and educational test scores, they are not examples of worthy and dignify individuals. Contrary, the taxi driver that returned hundreds of thousands left in his cab; did not attend school, will fail most of your educational tests, but he is an example of a dignified Nigeria worthy of emulation. But if you look into the educational system and some exemplary lawyers, you can easily conclude, but stereotypically; that high psychological and educational testing scores equals high dignity and worth. There are lots of successful scientists, business owners, inventors, Pastors, etc who failed at educational testing but excels in dignity and worthiness...I just looked up the biography of Pastor TB Joshua of SCOAN, the guy only completed primary school and failed to complete even one year in secondary school, but many will agree, if we summise that, he is dignify and worthy. Savants are another divergent to this theory, they have extra ordinary inert intelligence without formal education, that will make them excel in educational testing scenario and could be dignify/worthy or not. |
saintdennis:The key word is some, another way to put it, is not in all European or Western countries. Even in some of the European countries you might have had in mind, I doubt if passport or ID is required for hotel short stays with cash transaction. Believe me, not everyone have an ID in 9ja; not even National ID or Voters Cards or Employee ID, not to talk of Drivers' License and International Passport, which are privilege documents, ebilike say National ID self don become privilege document. So, if all these businesses insist on ID on cash transactions, dem no go sell market and for everyone merchant that is insisting on ID, there are about 20 or more willing to do it without ID. |
Busy body, wetin concern you? Na your pocket abi na your iPad? |
Atmmachine:Why call someone fool for spending 500k on a Dubai visa, all becos you only spent 160k on your America visa? What if I told you that, I spent zero Naira, yes 0.00 Naira on my America visa and my intending employer had to even send me money to complete my certifications, while the visa is been processed, will you feel like a bigger fool for spending 160k for a mere America visa? People mileage differs and valuation on the same item differs from one individual to the other. |
coolviv:You clearly do not understand what I said or have a very swallow understanding of the trinity and the persons of Jesus....The Jesus that was sent by God and born of Mary, was both Man and God...If you read the scriptures clearly, he was sometime referred to as Man and something as God. His deity as God existed before the creation of the Universe and Mary cannot be the mother of the Jesus, the deity call God, He was before Abraham and Methuselah from the old testament even came to pay tithe to him as the high priest. Mary is only the mother of the Man - Jesus, the one whole was tempted as we were and suffered as we are.... Again, am speaking of the same Jesus. |
Criminal Elements? Kai! That small 3 years old boy too? Haba, make una release them oh! |
Buhari do something... |
greggng:Good to know that, you have tried uber but for your older model vehicle....note that, Banks are financing uber cars now and you can get a toyota camry 2006 for about N1.6m....with a return of about N200k/month less expenses, you can easily pay off that loan within a year, assuming zero down payment. Also, if you go to Uber partner's site and begin the Driver signup process, I believe there is an option of you choosing that you want to use your own car or have Uber work on your behalf with the Banks to finance one for you. One really need to know lagos roads, but GPS on your smartphone will solve that problem...Again, you have to be passive-aggressive driver, been a slow driver all the time, will not help. I receive notifications from my Bank -First Bank periodically that they will finance an Ubar car for me or a driver under me. |
greggng:A car is a liability, it will continue to drain money from your pocket and no matter how you look at it, it is always cheaper to join public transportation. If you park it and don't use it on a regular basis, it deteriotes faster, best advise is to get ride of it and invest the money. It also hurts me to hear people suffering and saying that, they lack jobs in the mix of plenty. Look around you, improvise and employ yourself. If you have a car or access to a car and you live in Lagos or Abuja and still complains of joblessness, you are part of the problem. I can't imagine a grown adult sitting around waisting away all in the name of 'I am jobless or looking for job'.... Go to uber.com and sign up to be a partner, if it is difficult to sign up and you have access to a car or can invest in a car, I might be able to help. You can make a decent living by doing uber and you will make a return that will make graduates and bankers envious. The last time I was in Nigeria, I used uber exclusively and all my drivers were young and while talking with one, he makes N200k/month and he is a high school graduate. There are many other self help initiatives like this in the country, you just have to re-orient yourself and start thinking away from the traditional updating my resume and hopping from one interview venue to another, think outside the box, be an employer and not an employee. |
coolviv:Mary is the mother of the man Jesus and not the mother of the God Jesus. The man Jesus was born flesh and blood, dwelled among us, tempted as we are, suffered, cried, and later crucified. The God Jesus has no beginning, was not born, He created all things including Mary, Before Abramham He was, He can't be tempted, never suffered, never cried, etc....Mary a mere mortal cannot be the mother of this Jesus. Try to understand the true concept of trinity and the dual person of Jesus and you will know that, Mary is only the mother of the man Jesus. |
Can someone please check on the OP to make sure he is okay? It is more than 3days since he posted that, he have gotten all the items and proceeding with this stunt of his. OP, I dey pray for you. |
bettercreature:Get your facts straight, the reason ISIS is not bombing gas pipelines is because, they are in control of them, when ISIS were not in control, they bombed gas pipelines....and you are dead wrong on ISIS "not bombing infrastructures"; except if your myopic understanding of the word "infrastructure" does not include bridges, hospitals, Gas Plants, Roads, Airports, Church, Mosque, Museums, etc....I can continue to enumerate endless infrastructures that ISIS had and continue to bomb. N/B: Nothing in the foregoing, suggests that I endorse the bombing of oil pipelines or infrastructures by any group, be it NDA, BH, ISIS, etc. The sole purpose of this response is to refute the premises of your last comment. |
...but can they swim? |
terrezo2002:Your original assumption was wrong and misleading, you changed it in your above recent response to me...initially your stated and I quote... "Well you must have been filled with the holy ghost before water baptism unless you don't know what you are doing" Which is not true, because you used the word "must have been", but in your new response you used "which ever one come first".... and if you get water baptized before receiving the holy ghost, it does not mean that "you don't know what you are doing". Christians, do not have a control on when they will receive the holy ghost, but they can control and schedule their water baptism anytime after repentance and to summise that one does not know what he/she is doing, if it so happened that, they got water baptized before holy spirit baptize is wrong and misleading period! |
terrezo2002:Not correct and misleading...."John baptized you with water, but I will baptize you with the Holy Ghost, did you noticed the one that came first? |
One told me, she lost it during D&C, the story was catching and it goes that, her flow stopped and got blocked and a Doctor had to do D&C to unclog it...I being a compound olodo believed it, until I knew the real meaning and use of D&C. |
That is clearly a photoshop and done to deceive the gullible.... This is the actual packing/moving out of 10 Downing Street by David Cameron and there is a a video to show it. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/removal-van-arrives-downing-street-8402986 I am not in any way saying that, Western Politicians are not far better than the ones we have here in Nigeria, at least for resigning, he showed the kind of moral that is strang to most Nigeria Politicians. |
Sometimes, you just but pause and wonder how some leaders show empathy or reacts to the suffering of their people..... 1a. January 28, 2016 - Weekend rampage with a total death toll of at least 65 people and twice that number injured. Affected areas were various villages in Dalori and outskirts of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno Province. Residents say the death toll was even higher, with as many as 100 dead. (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_Boko_Haram_insurgency#June_4). 1b. January 28, 2016 - President Buhari in Kenya for three days visit, then up and went to visit Addis Ababa for the 26th Summit of African Union of Head of States and no pronouncement regarding the many dead, the day prior... 2a. June 6/7, 2016 - Two black citizens and five polices officers were shot dead in the US 2b. June 6/7 - Obama made a strong statement against both shootings, cut shot his NATO summit meeting in Poland and will be returning to Washington DC and eliminating a planned stop in Spain to head straighten to Dallas, TX to commensurate with the families of the dead. (Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/obama-dallas-visit_us_578037a4e4b0344d514f77c7?section=) Even if you can't solve people's problem, empathy goes a long way....when there is crises in town, even when perpetrated by people with the same black skin as his or by people with a different skin color, or if the victim share the same skin color with him or different from him; one of the leaders make serious pronouncement and denouciation against the crime whether he is abroad or at home at the time, he also cut shut his abroad meetings and hurry home, while the other leader remains mute and travels from one pillar to another absentmindedly....over to you... Lalasticlala, mynd44,seun,firstlady,beremx,airforce1,tosyne2much how you see am?

kingsman66:I beg to disagree, the guy have the right line of thought. We all have to be prepared, yes we prepare for long life and prosperity, but it is fool-headed not to prepare for the uncertainty. After praying for God's protection in the night, we still felt it necessary to lock our doors with the heaviest bolt available. Each time, you enter a plane; they must undergo safety routine with you in case of an emergency, crash, e.t.c...it is very foolish not to plan your future including what happens when you are gone....enough said. |
