It is your brother's call, not yours. Swap places with your brother and assuming that, you are befriending three guys (yes, I know you will say God forbide, but assume that for a second, though I highly doubt the God forbide part...you are already planning to meet Vanquay now, and I guess you might have a bf or two in 9ja already...but lets not get distracted by that.)...and you have a junior brother that is showed love, care, etc by all these three men and you have perfected plans to marry only one of these guys, will you want your brother to tell the other two the planned married? Most ladies know when their man are cheating and choose to ignore it, with the hope that he will change. And, they must be showering you with gifts to get brownie points either from you or from your brother. Plus, hell knows no furry as a scorned lady; you might have a good motive behind your plans of telling these ladies the truth, but you cannot control the outcome or their reactions, what if they turn violent against your brother or the chosen one? or better still, pretend as if they do not know the truth and while they still have unfiltered access to your brother and your house, devise something evil or terrible? Wise up, stay in your lane; get busy with something else, it appear you have too much time on your hands. If you need to do anything at all, call your brother aside and register your displeasure with him...many are call, but few (in this case, one) are chosen, it is not your place to inform the ones not chosen about their status. |
K9blunt:Vigil simply mean 'keeping awake'; so with the premises that people usually sleep at night, your conclusion that the night component is also invoked when the word 'vigil' is used is understandable...but it is not always the case, as one can do vigil during the day. It is a vigil, if I was supposed to have been sleeping at the time (be it morning, afternoon or night), but I am keeping awake instead in other to accomplish something. |
She might not be all that innocent as you summised, it might just be all a cover up...afterall, there are not too many 9ja girls out there, who will hitch a private ride with an NYSC guy and would not think at the back of their mind, the bliss it will be, if they get married to that individual and from that moment; they will start acting like angels. Moreso, one lie begats another, you have lied to her and she might be lying to you as well. Maybe if you confesses, she will confess and tell that, she have you in her crosshair from the very first day you guys met and that she is not all that innocent as it seems. |
thecrush:The OP gave an explanation of this... i.e. 180 -185 = 20 pts 186 -190 = 21 pts 191 -195 = 22 pts 196 -200 = 23 pts |
Some 9ja ladies wey dey celebrate 25th birthday every year no go like this stunt that publicly put a marker on the date, time and place they celebrated their 18th birthday. Twenty years from now, when they want to celebrate another 25th birthday, we can easily remind them with YouTube proof that, they were 18 years old in 2016 and that they should've celebrating their 38th birthday and not a rerun of the 25th birthday. |
The body was planted there, it is not suicide. |
nwamummy96:In this case the GMD is more powerful than the Chairman. Generally, the chairman heads the board and oversees the big picture vision and direction of the company but the GMD runs the day to day operations, the GMD have total control of the companies operations and chair directs the board. Since NNPC is government owned, Buhari is technically the chairman as he will be the one to give general directions and visions of NNPC, while the GMD carries them out...and as such Kachikwu is just a figure head here, Buhari is just using him to meet the constitutional mandate of appointing ministers from all states of the federation but vests all the powers on the GMD. |
dis fictional tales by moonlight funny well well, waiting for part two.... Advise...use snakes and bees for part two, e go funny die...if you doubt it, a try will convince you. |
Yiiiii! First Page!, make I go mama Ekaette shop, go buy credit, so I can read the story b4 commenting |
JhyMedex:The electrical hot wire is high potential, the negative wire is low potential and earth/ground is also low potential. When you touching the hot wire, make sure no part of your body is touching earth/ground, also do not touch anything that is conductive that is touching ground, if someone standing bare footed touches you, he/she completes the high-to-low potential difference and both of you will be shocked. The key is, insulate yourself from ground by wearing a good rubber shoes and do not touch the negative and positive wires at the same time, as your body will will complete the the electrical path. work on one wire either hot or negative at a time. The same principle applies to high tension over head cables, though at the same voltage, but due to the different phases, they create the potential difference, so touching and repairing a single over head tension cable bare handed while wearing insulating foot wears is safe, the same reason birds can confidently land on bare live high tension cables and survives and some get electrocuted becos they somehow touched touched two live high tension cables at the same time. |
DBlackCeazer:Good observation, but one major point that ruled your conclusions wrong is, when one of the soldiers said... "...and you want collect 65k abi...homeless idiot, you go drink drink beer..". |
seunmsg:That true, but courts call on experts or professionals to give expert advise especially in areas where they are clueless as it turns out to be in this case. Court usually weighs both party's evidence and renders a judgement base on which is closer to it's beliefs of the truth. To rule a valid government document invalid is an egg and shame on the face of the court and a ruling they will regret. It is like ruling that, my international passport is fake, the court must have a competent source to compare the evidence of the plaintiff with, before reaching a final conclusion and that competent source will be an original international passport or the issuing authority, which is not necessarily called by either party. |
1babeonly:It is an innovation, you can't discover what is already known, we know that iron can conduct electricity albeit, a poor one. |
Proffdada:When I was in high school, I use to fix my house wiring, junction boxes with naked i.e. with my bare hands with no insulation or gloves, all you need to know is the principle of electricity and respect them, period! Electricity needs potential difference for it to flow through you, thereby shocking you. When you are touching a live cable, as long as you remain at the same high potential as the naked hot wire, you are good....don't create the potential difference high or low. |
Tolexander:Right conclusion, but wrong premises...he did not discover anything, we all know before now that, bicycle chain can conduct electricity, no discovery here. However, the application of this already known body of fact into a utility that is helpful to mankind or the repurposing of this well known usage of bicycle chain into something else (aka extension box) is the innovation. |
shumuel:US foreign missions have the latitude to adjust the date they celebrate events abroad, e.g. in 2015, US Independence day was celebrated in June in Indonesia, because the US ambassador there felt it necessary to coordinate things with the Ramada fasting/festival. You guys are just making much ado about nothing. |
shumuel:The US Ambassador was the celebrant, they were just guests, I believe he knows what he is doing than myself or anyone here. |
TonyeBarcanista:You are grabbing at straws and you know it.... Based on the above article, they were the guests of the US Ambassador to Nigeria and no tax payers' funds were involved, unless you care to cite your source. |
TonyeBarcanista:Not true... https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record/2015/10/2/extensions-of-remarks-section/article/E1415-3 |
Dem born you well for returning that slap...Yes, I still subscribe to the idea that, men should not fight women; but is a woman, who is a total stranger slaps me, I will response in kind. Now, if she is known to me, e.g. wife, gf, relative, friend, etc; the best policy is to walk away. |
By law, she can not eject you without a valid order from the rent tribunal. Until that happens, she can't lock you out or padlock your gate as you are still the legally recognized owner of the house. You can break the locks and move your things and she will not have any legal cause of action, but she might want to start a physical altercation if she walks in before you finish moving your things or if someone informs her and she comes around. Right now, she is in violation of the law by locking you out without due process of the law and she is also causing you undue hardship by denying you access to you properties, look for a charge and bail lawyer, put small something in their pocket and they will write her a strongly worded letter to give you access to the house within 48hrs, else she will be sued and if she refuses, sue her and bring her to court and make sure you ask for damages and award. You will end up not paying the light bill or June and July rent, and in addition to that, she will end up paying you to kill the case. BTW: You are in the wrong for not taking care of your responsibilities, but the Landlord should have followed the right legal process...two wrongs does make it right. |
wayodude:The U.K. is made up of four unitary sovereign nations aka countries called: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It is fool headed to refer to the U.K. as a nation (singular), without noting the integral internal sovereign states...and if you mentioned the plural, then his assumptions would have been wrong as Scotland did not vote to pull out and Brexit vote is not binding on Scotland. In fact the parliament in each of the four sovereign nations must vote to approve a pull out before article 50 can be invoked and any one of the sovereign nations can veto the pullout, plus Scotland also want to vote to pull out of U.K. |
Ben Bruce, receive sense in Jesus name...UK is not a nation. |
showblack:Pishure or I donbiliviti. |
seyilabi:O boy, you wicked shall oh! Look as you give people false hope one hand and for some, your advise will send them to their early grave, when the Robbers tried the reverse PIN given and found it be fake...they can easily send this individual to his/her early grave, all because of you. FYI: The ATM machine machine does not know your PIN, it just send everything you enter encrypted via an internal dialup modem or Internet VPN to the remote interbank server. Only your bank knows your PIN after decrypting the received message and sends a response to either authorize or decline the transaction. The ATM retains portion of your account number, name and some vital info just to record the transaction, in case that record is needed for some type of investigation. |
chyna4luv:The bold section above just contradicted everything you said before and after. If you have summised that, all he needs to make it is within him(which is true), I was thinking that, his mere desire to relocate to Lagos would have gotten an overwhelming endorsement from you, since his success is not tied to his geographical location or environment. I personally believe that, we should follow how heart and do what makes us happy. Also, as much as the presence of family support is helpful, we should know that, it has it's disadvantages and tend to make us to soften our drives.... If am climbing a challenging mountain and am so tired and exhausted, but know that, there is a soft and comfy cushion waiting for me, if I just let go of my dreams to make it to the top and fall down, the temptations to let go will be greater and I will be more susceptible to give up, compare to when I know that such support is not available or very far away. |
It is only in 9ja that it is an achievement to clean after oneself. The bar is now set so low, such that if you remember to clean your toilet after defecation or sweep your environment after you rubbished it; you will be given an award and people will even congratulate and hi5 you, if you post pictures of your cleaned toilet or compound on nairaland. |
kenkenn:Do you know that, by international security standards, you are not allowed to exit the plane by your own initiatives once you have boarded? Under normal international Aviation protocols, the security agencies need to be called in, you will be interviewed by the security and maybe detained and they will also sweep the Airplane again to make sure you did not enter, plant some explosive and want to checkout before the Plane hits the air. Similarly, if you check-in your bags and did not show up at the gate to enter the plane, they suppose to remove your bags before the Plane hits the air. In the above two scenarios, you would have made your point, but you will attract the wrath of the authorities and that of your fellow passengers for delaying their flights. |
GworoChewinMaga:Take it to the Bank, Trump will never win the National Election period! And no, his problem is not the Progressives, they currently have a huge fight within the GOP party now. This is the first time in America Election history that more prominent inside party personnel and Governors have come out and say, they will not be voting for their party's Presidential Election nominee - Yes, these are staunch GOPs and conservatives and they will not be voting for him... Plus, he have the delegate rebellion going on, many delegates are vowing not to vote for him during the convention, there is even now a class action lawsuit from a GOP pledged delegate, challenging that the party violated their free speech constitutional rights by mandating that, they pledge to vote for a particular candidate. Also, follow the money; running a US election no bi moimoi, Trump campaign is bleeding money with greater campaign expenses going to Trump businesses and contributions are not coming in as they suppose to. The GOP themselves having started devising means to protect down ballot candidates, watch the America news media, no one current running for election publicly backs what Trump is spelling from his mouth, they are avoiding going on the record. No, he does not say it like it is, the guy is grossly ignorant, each time he opens his mouth, you hears it...When he landed in Scotland after the Brexit vote...he went on celebration and said..."...Just arrived in Scotland. Place is going wild over the vote. They took their country back..." 1. 62% of Scotland voted to remain in the EU. 2. UK is not a country 3. Scotland will soon be voting to leave UK. 4. Ireland will very likely follow right behind. Plus that vote weakens US and NATO influence and the ability to fight terrorist around the world, the same things Trump say, he is for.....and if you think UK will not take in immigrants in, because of this exit, think again...they have just left one of the biggest economic block in the world and all trade agreements and benefits they have been enjoying are gone! They will now be forced to renegotiate those agreements all over again with each Country but now with a diminished power and influence, plus they must now negotiate with EU as a non-member and have to abide by EU laws and regulations to get those trade agreements, before they had a say on those laws, now they do not and part of those agreements will stipulate taking in immigrants. There is strength in numbers, the Bible even said..."..A threefold cord is not easily broken..." |
OP, I beg wait, make I go Iya Bisi shop go buy data, ebilike say this your story go sweet well well.... |
OgaSirAde:Traditional rulers is too far, stop at your elders. I learnt this the hard way in the University, with a Yoruba fellow church member, who was doing his PGD and I was in 300L.... I am from a different state and we are free spirited, I saw him, was in group with others and in the joy of the moment, extended my hands and this guy rejected it and went on to school me. I learnt my lesson fast and even extended it to my daily interactions, if I know you are my senior in age and you are a Nigerian, irrespective of your state, tribe or tradition; I usually wait for you to make the first move. |
dre11:In this age of phone cameras, video, etc...no single picture? And they were stucked in the full glare of people, the whole time someone went to find the husband, then the time it took him to come back, plus the additional time for the sacrifice...I think I am with the, 'picture or Idonbeliviti' crowd on this one. |
