The age is largely exaggerated, at abou 183 years Jonathan the tortoise is currently the longest living one. They shld invite Guinness book of records as the 330 can be approximately deduced. |
I just wake from sleep, come see bad dream...Can you imagine say small Egypt win us for dis dream? Thank God, it was only a dream! O boy wey match go start sef? |
I always tell Ladies! Please, Don't die a virgin; Boko Harams are waiting for you, to complete their 72 virgins reward. The recent onslaught by the Nigerian Army have made the situation worst, as there is acute shortage of virgins to even go around once, consider yourself warned. ![]() |
vikacydevato:It is only a gift, if the giver paid for it with his or her own money. |
adegunwa4real:These snakes are called eke-idemili, they have a mystic around them, apart from hunting down rats and their normal food sources, they do not harm humans, kids or pets, even domestic animals. They even cohabits with people sometimes...It appear that, they have naturally lost their instincts for aggression over the years as people in Anambra State have never been hostile to them...this same snake in another part of Nigeria is very aggressive. This has been a mystery to me, because I have deep roots in two states in Nigeria; one kills snake and eat them like fish, while snake injuries them badly and is very aggressive and hostile...it is so toxic to the extend that, it is believed that, the process of killing and eating snakes transfers their powers to you and you become more invincible and powerful with each killing/eating.... but on the opposite end is this community that loves, adores and some even worship this same snake and in return, the snake is never known to have caused them any harm and the snake is docile, slow, and never in a haste here. |
EgunMogaji:To some extent, we are saying the same thing. Tailgating have a speed component to it...the general layman rule of thumb is; add at least one car length between you and the vehicle in front of you, for every multiple 10miles/hr (or 16km/hr) of speed....i.e. if you are doing 80miles/hr (or 128km/hr), there should be at least 8 car lengths between you and the vehicle in front. Many safety driving manuals codify this, as the three seconds driving rule. If you are paying attention to the road, the above cushion will give you plenty of time to safely bring your vehicle to a stop without hitting the vehicle in front, show anything happens and the vehicle in front stops suddenly. |
EgunMogaji:I meant to type 'absolve' there...to tailgate is to drive too close, to the vehicle in front of you. |
Joy1706:My sister, take the next turn; you might find solace and kool off. 'Expect' as used in my construct means 'strongle belief that something will or should happen' which is different from the belief that something may happen. I guess you were assuming 'may' which is not the same as 'expect'. The bottom line is, if your gf 'expects' you to do something, you have little or no wiggle room. In any case, make you no vess, I no get your time. |
From the picture, it appear that the driver of the red car was not paying attention to the road. In a developed society, If the the driver of the red car survived, he/she will be charged with reckless driving, tailgating and possibly manslaughter. This does not in any way absolve the trunk driver from any wrong doing. |
seaga:I think we must be responding to different things; my post was not directed at the OP's original post, where Mrs. Alakija was quoted as listing; washing her husband's undies as part of her chores, until six year ago; as you might have erroneously concluded. Rather, I was responding to a specific post that equates, the washing of undies to submissiveness on the part of the woman...and I argued that, if that activities equates to submissiveness on the part of a lady; it must be equally true to draw the same conclusion, if the man does it; and since the subject of male submissiveness to their wife is a contradiction in our traditional Nigerian setting, it then means such activities by the ladies can not be equal to submissiveness. Was just trying to prove the poster wrong by contradiction. I will not even response to your insult about IQ; as that will drag this conversation into the gutter. However, if you insist we can both take some IQ tests and compare notes thereafter; there are some reputable online IQ testing centers. |
Joy1706:Sister make you no vess, it appear that I must have hit a sensitive nerve ending there...go back and re-read the post I replied to, the word EXPECT never appeared anywhere in the post. You must be imagining things..... As for the iPhone 6s, you must be juvenile for such a low blow...I have gotten new iphones each year, since iPhone 2G (offcourse will be skipping iPhone SE this year, since it is of a lesser feature compare the the 6s) and the post you responded to was typed on a new iPhone 6s....sorry to disappoint you....besides, there is nothing wrong with a used iPhone, I still have my old 5s laying around...working great as a visitor's phone. |
daretodiffer:Nicely put there, if only 90% of women can be that considerate to first ponder if the guy can afford it, before putting pressure on them about their gifts. A popular Nigerian music in the early 90s, still rings a bell and it is paraphrased like..."your money go woman go". As a man, 90% of the time, if you lose you job or means of livelihood, you will loose your wife or at the minimum loose some of your respects. In the words of Chris Rock, "...You might not loose her immediately, but the countdown has began". |
seaga:A woman washing her husband's undies have nothing to do with submissiveness, unless the contrapositive is also true i.e. A man washing his wife's undies is also submissive...so both are not true. |
daretodiffer:Women and their Charactization of 'love'...The man buys her expensive jeweries, cars, etc to 'show his love' and the woman washes his undies to 'show her love'. Women have been deciding men since 1500 with this 'love' matter. My gf will expect me to buy her an iPhone 6s for her birthday, but on unwrapping the nicely package gift from her for my birthday, they contain singlet and socks...mteeech! |
Ayodeji2k14:XY chromosome does not necessarily lead to male children by default neither does XX results in female kids either... Those chromosomes only increases the chances of the child been those sex. Humans can also have chromosomal arrangement that is contrary to their phenotypic sex e.g. There are XX males and XY females. Sometimes the process of X or Y chromosome activation can have complications leading to some gender conflicts in some individuals...This is why you should not be quick to condemn an individual whose sexual expressions do not comport to the norm, just like you will not condemn someone with more than 5 limbs or more hands/legs, etc...those outcomes are as a result of some complex chemical processes, actions and reactions that the individual have no say in, but manifested in different ways. Your assumptions is based on the high school basic we were all feed, because the actual process of determining gender is very complex and beyond our comprehension then, but many of us have refused to broaden our knowledge after that. Check out Google, Wikipedia and other scientific boards and knowledge base portals on how human gender is actually determined. |
Nigeria which way? Ban the importation of rice, which is a stable food for millions of Nigerians and advocating the importation of grass, the stable food for animals. Is it really this bad and backward in my beloved Country? Have our leaders lost their sense of direction and priority? What about empathy and humanity, is that also lost? Shouldn't we make sure humans have food on the table, before thinking of animals? By the way, why is the government going into the business of importing grasses for cow? If the cattle owners needs better nutrition for their animals, shouldn't they be the ones doing this import? Is the government going to send some of those nutritional grasses to the south to feed our goats? What about the sheeps? Poultry farmers also need government help in importation of chicken feeds and medicinal supplies to increase their yield, is the government going to do that also? |
Obiodunukwe:Having said that; you fail to hint on the cause of the said 'hormonal imbalance' and if the suggested surgery will also wipe that imbalance away...Also, there are other aspects of our lives that 'hormonal imbalance' affects beyond what we can see or touch and offcourse, I believe you are not thinking of drugs to regulate that imbalance. Many people have failed to grow out of the high school mentality that teaches all us that XX chromosome results in females and XY results in male by default. That high school theory is as true as what my physics teacher told us about atoms, being the smallest indivisible particles of an elements. My years in the University have taught me that, that theory about atom is half true, if not totally false, just like the theory about XX chromosome forming females and XY forming males by default. There are lots of deformities in the world and we are able to relate to the ones we can see, feel or touch e.g. someone having more than 5 fingers, etc, but there are others which are as a result of some chemical deformities when we were developing in womb and these can also cause us to be seen as abnormal....The truth is, XX chromosomes formation into females is very straight forward, because during cell activation, the development process only have the X to choose from the two XX, therefore it is far easier to form female. But, if the egg gets an XY chromosome, it is a far more complex situation and the process may result in even a female if the X in the XY is activated and a male only when the Y in the XY is activated...and not the default male as we have been made to believe and during this complex process of a zygote with XY chromosome, lots of things can go wrong resulting in the birth of individuals with characteristics that are very different from the general female/male dichotomy. Even when the Y is activated from the XY chromosome, certain events have to occur on time before a male is formed, else the result could be an individual with far more complex gender identification. The point of this is, the easy with which you concluded that, it is the upper anatomy of this individual that is abnormal and if anything, it should be the one to be removed. There is also chances that, the anatomy below hidden in the pants might be the abnormal one and might be the one to be removed. The bottom line is, if you follow the scientific research on the complex and complicated process that result in making us one sex or another, you will begin to appreciate that, what we all have below there under our legs does not make us one gender or another...other complex and complicated processes involving chemicals have to also align properly. There are lots of research journeys on this and many varying scientific theories. |
Joenyam:This is just a 9% increase on a currency that fluctuates about 10% from week to week....The risk is too high for any investment to start saving in Naira, (plus Naira is not a reserve currency) for a mere 9% return at the end of each year, when he/she stands a chance of loosing almost 10% from week to week (or month to month), I do not see the risk-reward ratio tipping the scale in favor of saving in Naira or keeping Naira, which is the intended objective behind this policy. If Naira were stable, then it would have been plausible to assume that, we will see those benefits, but with the current condition, it appear; the negatives are more likely to follow. |
Ecoplexus:You hit the nail on the head there...The cost of money will increase, making it difficult to access cash for needed capital projects and investments; for a developing economy in dire need of projects and investments, this move is counter productive. If Naira were a reserve currency, this will be a good move, in that; people will find solace in Naira and will want to keep the Naria currency or exchange other foreign currencies for Naira if only for it's carry-trade benefit aka interest payment. I believe that, the singular motive of the government is to see if this will discourage more people from selling Naira and keep it instead...this intended objective may not be realized if Naira keep fluctuating like a pendulum. |
Why dem come naked dem na? |
dominique:Using government money and allocations to go dey pose for IDP camp is the height of deception. |
Question: Who is Nomoreloss? That looks more like an hashtag than someone's name, pardon my ignorance. |
lawyer:Oga those lands don increase for price oh, in fact some Nigeria hotels and rental services no dey collect Naira again, as the constant up/down movement have made it impossible for them to assign appropriate value to the services they offer. |
OP, we don meet b4 @Xposer? I was at that party earlier in the evening on that day, it was at Aso Rock on Central Ave...it was actually a funeral celebration. |
Something tells me that, there is a signed contract...hence tuface counter suit is alleging extortion, he might saying that, he was extorted to sign the agreement, which will not fly in court. His allegation of gate-crashing will not also fly, seeing many of those pictures tuface and company posed very well and were smiling when those pictures were taken and they were up close...if some came to your house uninvited and you offer them a seat and a glass of water...you can't turn around and sue them for coming to your house uninvited. |
rusher14:That is not true, you can raise a recusal motion anything and it does not have to come from the prosecution only. He is not shopping for a judge as he is not the one that assigns them. He have a valid point that the judge or the council can consider in assigning a new judge. The cornerstone of justice is for it to be free from all form of bias and if one of the parties have a valid reason to think that, a judge will not bias, they will be listen to. |
SamJed:He didn't commit any crime, they can't even charge him with anything and have no choice than to release him...the guy in handcuff knows that much, hence he was not bothered about it, but only wanted to use it to draw more attention. |
Even condom manufacturers will tell you that, it is not 100% safe against pregnancy....Male condoms are about 85% (and female condoms about 79%) safe against pregnancy...read up about it some day when you have the time. |
AlfaSeltzer:Dude chill, it is only N1,000, less than $4; not even enough money to tip waitress/waiter....skip one meal like do not go for a lunch on one day of the week, you will make/save that money over. |
This eye witness story even if 100% true does not have any probate value that would have swing the case in her favor. The eye witness could not and is unable to testify regarding who was at fault or who was speeding. Though the eye witness, testify to seeing the victim alive immediately after the accident and alleges that, it was the cruel efforts of the good Samaritans that killed the Doctor. This conclusive statement on the cause of death is speculations and opinions deduced by the eye witness. Further, the eye witness is not competent and learned to testify to the cause of death and the eye witness is not an expert in this area and as such his conclusive opinions are just that 'opinions' and should be strike from the records. Even, if the eye witness were a competent and expert witness on the cause of deaths and his conclusions are backed with scientific facts; this does not still absorb the defendant, as she was the principal cause of the chains of the events that eventually lead to the death of the Doctor. Further note that, contributory cause of death, even if they were as a result of the actions of the victim or passerbys are ignored under the de minimis principle of the law and I therefore pray that should the court find such de minimis contributory factors, that they should be ignored and not given any probate value as a matter of law. Note that, no one is accusing the defendant of murder and she was not charged for murder. She was charged for manslaughter which is a lesser charge, which involves the unlawful taking of another's life without forethought or malice...more so, she was not even charged with voluntary manslaught which is more severe and carries a harsher punishment, but she was charged with involuntary manslaught, which is the barest minimum culpability if one is directly involved in something as painful as the taking of another's live. |
