What choices, options or alternatives do they have? It is not as if, you, the OP are going to wow or marry her, or that LadyF is going to fall for him anytime soon in this lifetime or next. |
babatgtr:hmmm, listen I understand all you said and someone I am surprisely buying into it...but the truth is; with a projection back to when I was growing up, it truly sound foreign to me to hear things like 'cane ... will make someone to be afraid of learning'...o boy, the fear of cane was the beginning of wisdom then, we learnt by force and by fire... I don't know, maybe things have changed and cane have turned to negative. I think the jury is still out and time will tell if the way we are bringing up our kids today will really give them all the necessary qualities to be rugged and tough enough to face the type of challenges we went through. |
Swissheart:That is how we grew up and learned in Nigeria then and we are better for it. In fact, it came to a point that, we mastered various methods of enduring those canes without showing any sign and emotions and after the ordeal, look at how your fellow guys and girls will be congratulating you to the disdain of the teacher, sometimes the teacher will even be feeling shameful if we did not show any emotions despite their best efforts. I got lots of bragging rights then, today's kids are aja butter, imagine how no one is talking about the kid's failure to do his assigment, even the bible said; spare the rod and spoil the child. |
Na wao! If them wake up to baff around 4am, you should wake up around 3am or 2am or even take your bath the night prior. This is a temporary housing for you, so some temporary pains are okay. Technically, the landlady can't evict you like that, if you are up to date on your rent, go and explain the situation to her, eat the humble pie for now, while you are focus on the bigger picture, switch your bathing time, so that you can avoid conflicts with this other lady. The truth is, it is not worth the trouble. |
EroticAngelina:Resulting to insulting people or calling them names does not change the fact that your initial post is myopic and ill conceived. BTW, you do not have a monopoly in understanding written English, most people that have commented about your post drew the exact same conclusion and they are from diverse background and geographical locations and you still think they are all wrong. We all make mistakes, and saying you misspoke is noble...but you are only making yourself sound uneducated in arguing that, your words did not mean what they clearly indicates and conveys and somehow everyone didn't understand them. |
SemuhleB:*GBAM! The vow was until death do us part, death have parted them period! And she is not obligated to him, plus the house is her's. |
EroticAngelina:The husband is late for crying out loud and that is where the lady lives, that is her house. If we revised roles and a guy whose wife is late is bringing his lover to his own house, where he lives; society and yourself will not see anything wrong with that or would you have want the guy to go out? There is nothing in the story that indicates that, the lady is a whoree as you are insinuating, unless having a bf/gf is tantamount to 'whoring' in your books, we are in a free society the last time I checked and they have not committed any crime. Agreed, some might argue that, their moral compass is disoriented, but that depends on which compass lenses you are useinh to view their act. |
doctokwus:I remember one time, he visited and the MFM video, but in most occasions, he sneaks in unannounced and sneaks. His American citizenship/Residency only gives him legal cloth if his advisaries wants to engage him in the open, justly and legally...but all that will not hold, if they decide to deal with just like they deal with their fellow political rivals in Nigeria. At least till date, we have yet to officially resolve or bring the killers of Dele Giwa to justice despite the public knowledge of who and who were behind it. |
Futbolpredikts:There are many ordinary Nigerians who are honest and want to report ill in the society but for fear of their lives, jobs and those of their friends and relatives. All they need is someone that can truly protect their privacy, the problem almost all the media in Nigeria cannot afford that level of privacy and not because they choose to but some start off by protecting their informant but affect a few intimidation or shack down by the high and powerful things will start leaking out. Sahara Report have a unique advantage in that, they are off shore and beyond the grips of the high and might in Nigeria, making it easy for whistle blowers to trust them that their identity will not be revealed. All these big men do not go hide in the closet to make these calls, they believe they are untouchable and can even make such calls in the present of a secretary, houseboy, driver, etc who then tells someone that tells someone...getting the call detail report is a piece of cake, get one techy savvy guy working in any of these tech companies who even hates these people got or pay someone to do it or even clone their SIM card and you will get everything you need. I can just imagine what will happen to the owner of Sahara Report if he mistakenly visits Nigeria without disguise, there will be a unanimous lynching by the high and might. |
pretydiva:She did not fvck up, she know what she was doing and did exactly what she planned and wanted...the OP is not her type and she want to move on, without causing some drama. |
News flash! you are not that important to her and she does not love you period! She was just managing you and now she have upgraded her levels to bigger and better things and must have also found herself a new bf, she find important enough to confine in... Pick up your broken pieces and move on; you never know, you might find another girl, who considers you important enough and dear to her to the extent of confining in you. |
Legally, since you enrolled in the course and did not officially dropped within the time allowed to drop, you owe the school fees for that semester. It does not matter if you attend classes or not and does not matter if you discussed with the my adviser. On the online portal where you enrolled for those classes, there should be a place to drop the classes as well and every school will give you a window within which you can drop any class. I will advise you to pay up, but again; this is Nigeria, it is difficult to collect debts from someone you know not to talk of someone far off...so switching SIM cards will buy you peace of mind...but if you become big tomorrow or want to run for public office, your opponent might dig it up, but again in Nigeria all that does not matter...the only real damage you have done is that, you have spoiled it for other Nigerians, who will come after you, they will now look at them as deadbeats and be more strict with them. |
bettercreature:It might not be a dead case as you surmised. She does not and did not asked for an special equipment or accommodation on account of her condition. She become deaf and dumb at the age of 6; despite those odds, she proceeded to learn English Language, completed Primary school in a regular school, then proceeded to a regular secondary school, completed her secondary, then wrote WAEC with no special aid or accommodation and got 7 credits and 1 distinction; she proceeded to write JAMB with no special aid or accommodation and scored 205, and got admission into RUST to study Educational Foundation, she is in good standing academically in RUST until in second semester, the VC single handedly deregistered her from school, citing her deafness as the reason because the medical personal at RUST could not communicate with her verbally. She understands her lecturers, she lip-reads and have coped with secondary school education and came out with flying colors. Anyone who was able to cope with secondary school and came out fine, will repeat same in any University as long as they apply the same principles. From a personal perspective; I found primary school, especially primary one, the toughness; because I had to learn lots of basics and knew next to nothing about alternate source of information and my brain was less developed. At the University, I barely attend classes, unless there is a quiz or something and even missed lots of surprise quizzes (I hate those lecturers), but I got a competitive scholarship, got a nice GPA throughout, and was among the top graduating students with a nice grade. Special schools are for people with special needs, from the legal definition of special needs, she does not qualify. |
ladyF:No bi only lock, na deadbolt, she for use....Face-me-I-face-You dey get lock? In any case, the woman self na wao! In fact, anyone that barged into me in the toilet while taking care of my business, have themselves to blame, I should even be the one to beg them, because the kind aroma wey go follow them comot, Robert soad no fit even clean am. Some men self, there is nothing sexy about a lady pooing, that think stints and a big konji killer. |
toyetade:It is game of chance, AS/AS have 50% probality of birthing AS, 25% for AA and 25% for SS. |
vedaxcool:I don't think that is what the judgement said, in summary, it is saying that; the card reader can be used side by side with the voters' register; but if there is a dispute or discrepancy, the voters' register supersedes. In essence, I cannot be denied the right to cast my vote, if the card reader invalidates me, but my name is on the voters' register; which makes a lot of sense. Even in the US, electronic machines are not used to validate voters on Election Day....when you go to your district to vote, your name will be manually lookup on the district hard copy printed voters' register and you will be asked to sign against your name on that printout before a voter's ballot will be giving to you, which you will tender at the entrance of the voting booth before been allowed to vote. |
'Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are' goes the popular adage, plus it's twin that goes...'Birds of the same feathers flunk together'. My point? If your sister has been with this guy for 5 years to the extend of forcing marriage on him, when he is obviously not ready says a lot about your sister. Plus, you have layed out a lot negatives about this guy, you need not say anything about your sister as anyone can write a book about her characters. Sometimes people don't learn from other people's mistakes, despite the best efforts and warnings of caring friends and families; experience is still the best teacher, even if those experiences are painful, bitter or irreversible. You might not want to hear this, but the truth is; they truly deserve each other, mind your own business and leave them alone. |
porrigeyam:Yuck, lipstick and paint na him full am. |
Aromas:There is truth to what Buhari said, GEJ for all my likes for him and all my best wishes for him was an easy going man, who does not want to offend too many people. And by the way, there are many good laws and rules in our law books today, that had been initiated, proposed by good people and enacted but are not enforced. |
ipledge10:I donbelieve it! They are the same, he is just trying to dance around the same words or confused! Ghanaian as used in 'Ghanaian Actor' is an adjective, that describes or modified the noun Actor. Ghanaian as used here, is an adjective that means: "of Ghana or relating to Ghana or its inhabitants" If Majid is "of Ghana or relating to Ghana" and, if he is also an Actor; therefore he is a 'Ghanaian Actor' period! Another way of saying it is; he is an Actor from Ghana. A Ghanaian Actor that only acts Ghanaian movies, is called 'A traditional or native Ghanaian Actor' or a 'Traditional or Native Actor from Ghana'. |
The struggle is real, carry on my sister, I can see that you are up to something here and you have your priorities straight. Don't mind all the naysayers, who also marries for their own predefined set of priorities or the unmarried haters, who are rejecting every opportunity to tie the knot, in the hope that, Mr or Mrs right, who perfectly or closely fits their set of priorities will show up soon...haters and hypocrites, they are always the ones who will cast the first stone or leave the most sadist comments on nairaland. You are a woman on a mission, ignore the distractors and set your eyes on the price. |
gameboy727:Ted Cruz is worst than Trump, Trump is all hat no cattle; Ted Cruz is an ultra Conservative right wind ideology who is beholden to the upper 5% only. None of them are fit to be the next POTUS and they wouldn't. Rick Santorum was the only same one among the GOP lineup, but the raging Loud mouth GOP activists will not give him a chance. |
shogz89:But but, why she dey drink penadol for what she thinks is another man's headache? She is not part of Nollywood, if anything she should be advising Ghanian movie industry instead i.e. If she is in the capacity to do that. |
Vivalavida99:Video of you speaking those languages or you be Liar Muhammad. By the way, I can do those written translations as well, at least by the power of Google. |
AyamBlaze:This is the secret to be FTC...once you start typing, do not wait to complete what you are typing before posting. Any one letter is good enough or copy and past anything fast fast to preserve your position, then come back later and edit your posting to something meaningful...thank me later. |
So, what negative impact do you think will accrue to you in someone uses your BVN? Even if you assume, the worst case scenario, I think you are over thinking the significance of the BVN. It is merely an identification number. No body will be able to access your bank account or ATM card or whatever with your BVN number and you are not going to be asked to supply your BVN when you want to reset you password, PIN, etc. The worst that could happen is identity theft and one form of it, is someone approaching a bank for a loan and presenting him/herself as you with you BVN number and particulars, he/she must also have a picture ID with your photo on it and must have recently completed a plastic surgery and face-lift, so he/she can look exactly like you so his/her facials can match the presented picture ID and your biodata in your BIO...the chances of this happening is close to nil. The other possible area of BVN identity theft, is e.g. politicians and contractors that have multiple accounts and they do not want those accounts to be traced to them, can (if possible) use stolen BVN and identity to stash some of their loots. I do not see any harm in this for you, you can even turn it to a win...if someone stash loots under my name, and I get to know, o boy! maga don pay be that, we must share the loot together, else I go blow the lid wide open; that is why people in this category will not just use any random BVN to stash their extra money, they will connive with trusted individuals who are close to them to do this. It is even funny that, some of these people who tightly guard their BVN and will not disclose it under any circumstance even to friends, will willing give their bank account number to anyone, even strangers to transfer money into their account to complete one transaction or another. I think, there is more risk in giving your bank account number to a stranger compare to giving your BVN. |
Junior66:HIV/AIDS is no longer the killer it use to be. If you have money, you can live to old age and live a highly productive life just like the next person on the street. It only now kills the poor and people without means and substance, who can not afford the expensive life saving and maintenance drugs. In essence, AIDS is now selective and discriminatory. |
freakcin:This is loads of none sense; the yellowish or whiteness of light is not driven by the material that it is made of. The color of light bulbs depends on their temperature and they are rated from about 2700k to 4100k, the lower the Kelvin(k) rating, the yellowish the output light becomes, and white lights have higher Kelvin rating, this can also be measured by the wavelength. The UV effective of mercury bulbs is an exaggeration. The UV effect is only a concern during manufacturing, transportation or handling and have zero effect when installed because, the recommended distant from the light source to blunt all UV effects is 11 inches and in their field applications as in the pictures above, those light sources are about 120 to 180 inches away. Low Sodium light sources that emits those monochrome lights which lacks color rendition contain sodium metal, which is a dangerous substance just like Mercury and both substance require special handling and disposal, so the same level of cost in incurred in safe guiding against these two harmful hazards. Agree, Mercury lights are more expensive to produce, but that seemly advantage that the sodium light holds is blunted, because you need much more quantities of sodium lights sources compare to Mercury light source to achieve some type of par illuminosity, even at that; the multiple quantities of sodium lights will render poor monochrome light, which is poor for security compare to the few Mercury lights. |
grandstar:Remember that, this 0.1% excludes the VAT, COT and the N50.00 stamp duty, but these fees applies to different transactions and some transactions will be hit with multiple category of fees. |
godoluwa:The source is there, got it from my Bank - Firstbank. Easy to confirm...their phone number is even there. |
