Mossadd:Africa have three seats at the UN Security Counsel that is rotated among Africa member states. |
Rgade:Bros wetin you smoke? Why should NATO intervene or send even a single catapult to Ukraine? Ukraine is not a NATO member and NATO have zero obligation or responsibility towards non members. |
naija4life247:No mind that matter, Nothing will happen to Russia’s UN Security Council membership. But, being a member does not exclude one from acting unilaterally. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is a unilateral decision. |
princeeze1:Yes, it was with the Soviet and not Russia. The ultimatum was to remove the missiles stationed in Cuban or they will be destroyed and not that they will go to war with Cuban or release the Nuclear bomb as you claimed. Castro also refused to listen to Kennedy just like, Zelensky refused to listen to Putin; Kennedy did not as a result matched troops and tanks into Cuban and show Castro who the ‘Boss’ is. Both parties, the Separatists and Ukraine refused to abide by the Minsk Agreement, it was a bilateral agreement and not what one side can implement in isolation and the other side continues to violate, the history about both parties violation of that agreement is there for all to read. An America Spy plane was shut down over Cuban killing an America pilot, who was the only casualty during the Cuban missile crises and yet America showed restrain and did not retaliate against Cuban by raining hell fire missiles over them. Imagine what would have happened if Zelensky shot down a Russia spy plane few weeks ago? Soviet Union only started negotiating when their incoming ships in the sea with more missile parts destine for Cuban were blocked by the America Naval blockade and seeing America resolve to into full war….They did not do it, because they choose diplomacy, it was an outcome forced on them, because both parties saw clearly that outside a diplomatic resolution, they are both going into all out Nuclear war between them. Yes, Cuban was the ‘straw man’ or the prop during the Cuban missile crises, just like Ukraine is today and Castro refused to listen to Kennedy just like Zelensky refused to listen to Putin; those not withstanding US ignored Cuban and faced the Soviet squarely because they know that is the Soviets are their major problem and not Cuban and at the end of the day, the agreement signed to avert the crises was between the US and the Soviet and the eventual establishment of the ‘Hotline’ was between both countries, Cuban did not sign anything nor was it a party to anything done to avert the crises. Even till today, Cuban is still hostile to the US and there are many restrictions & skirmish between both Governments, but the US is still managing the situation as a true Super Power and till leaving side by side. My point in all these is; Russia true problem is not Ukraine or Zelensky, it is with NATO and the US….they would have faced up with the US & NATO directly and effectively be able tamed Ukraine & Zelensky just like US is taming Cuban, all these can be done diplomatically. For starters all 30 members of NATO must vote Yes for Ukraine to be admitted, so all Russia needed was to convince one member country from voting Yes…and even before this war and one of the major reasons Ukraine has not yet been admitted into NATO is because about 27 NATO member countries are standing in their way, which means even before this war, the chances of Ukraine becoming a member despite their wishes is slime to none, so why March into Kyiv? |
pansophist:Bros, SWIFT at it’s simplicity is just a secure messaging platform used by member banks to exchange financial transactions on behalf of themselves or their customers, how is cutting Russia off going to affect the dollar? If I walk into my Bank in Lagos and want to send a wire transfer to my business partner in Russia, they will convert my Naira to Russia Ruble and send a SWIFT message to my customer bank in Russia using the SWIFT code or through an intermediary bank if my customer bank does not have a direct relationship. After their checks is done, my customer account will be credited and they will be able to ship my goods? How that one come take concern dollar? Cutting Russia off means, since all the countries in the world do not have a full merged network ie one to one network connection with each other, but route messages through one another until it gets to the final destination….all SWIFT members will be asked to blacklist Russia banks SWIFT codes, preventing messages from reaching Russia or from Russia banks going outside. The only think I see is, blocking them from SWIFT give boost to the crypto currency market especially bitcoin as more customers will flock their to make their transfers, but Russia like China having been fighting against crypto. |
Wilddove:What the Pastor had was a classic sign of heart attack, if he had driven to the Hospital instead of the Church, he may have still been alive today to preach more of God’s Gospel. All you are talking above are belief system, there are a thousand and one belief systems all over the world today with each telling us that, their way is the right, genuine and only way to God. The problem and confusion with this is, majority of the 7 billion plus people on earth today, had no choice on the belief system they are practicing at the moment, which they claim is the only way. Their belief system was chosen for them before they were born, either due to the geographical location of the world they were burned in or their parentage, tribe or creed. If there is God and He is loving and He is fair, I doubt he will send good portion of 7 billion people to Hell fire over what they had no control over. Plus, remember that it is called ‘belief’ or ‘believe’ because no one can prove it, no one know it, no one have died, gone to heaven or hell came back and tell us. As long as you are a believer, know that you are also accepting that, you don’t know, but you are taking a leap of faith and trusting that, what you believe is truth. If you know something, then it is no longer belief….e.g. I know that the sky is blue, you don’t believe that the sky is blue, you just know it. Also, I believe Russia will win the war against Ukraine. Which means, I don’t know if Russia will win, but going by their firepower, I believe they will win, but remember that, there many unknowns in that belief system that might negate the believe that I have today and reverse it. Therefore next time you talk about God, Heaven, Hell, Divinity just profess them from a belief standpoint just like the Bible admonishes and not from a standpoint that you know them to be facts and absolute. |
You are asking what you should do? Walk up to her and kiss her on her cheek whiling smiling. It is said that, a handshake deserves another in return. |
dollarsplenty:The truth is, it is not defamation if it is true. Defamation cases are the hardest to win by public officials, if the defendant are learned and willing to fight back. Defendants are entitled to discovery from the person claiming to have been defamed in other to prove their case. They are also entitled to depose them under oath and no public official will want that, especially in Nigeria because their hands are not clean and they don’t know which of their shady businesses will come to light if the process take it”s course. So, at some point if faced with a formidable defendant that is not falling for the intimidations, they will cut their loses and abandon the case to die naturally. |
moralistic:Yes, but joining NATO is just by wishing, otherwise Ukraine would have been a member by now. There four strict requirements: 1. Must be a democratic Government. 2. Must reduce corruption to a particular index measured internationally. 3. Must be able to to contribute to NATO forces. 4. Must be accepted by all member countries now about 30. Ukraine is only cleared on item 1 above….hence his call to 27 NATO member countries were meet with silence. |
princeeze1:You are paraphrasing History, you don’t need a Naval blockade to initiate any count down. The Cuban missile crisis was a direct face off between US and Russia period! The Naval blockade was to prevent Russia from shipping more missiles parts into the Island and there was a face off at sea between the US and Russia ships when the Russia ships tried to breach the blockade, the Russia ships were stopped at sea. Yes, the US threaten all out war but there was no count down to any Nuclear war, you are just adding that to your narrative. The other option that Kennedy was considering was bombing the missile sites in Cuban to destroy them if Russia didn’t remove them, Russia eventually agreed to remove them and US removed their Nuclear missile sites in Turkey, leaving the ones in East Europe. You are asking about the difference? How many died during the Cuban missile crises vs now? How many humanitarian crises were they? Also just like during the missile crises, Russia have now threatened a Nuclear war, if anyone stop their murderous campaign in Ukraine so the world is also now at the brink of a Nuclear face off….you must be myopic or just want to win some baseless internet arguments. |
princeeze1:Some similarities, but lots of differences that are obvious but you are ignoring. The US did not roll armored tanks into Cuba and start raining hellfire missiles on poor Cubans killing thousands and annexing part of Cuban land to America. The US simply implemented a Naval blockade cutting off the Russians and they were very effective, Russia tucked it’s tail behind it’s back and ran. In this case, because Russia is suffering from inferiority complex, they want to run over poor Ukraine simply because Ukraine rejected them and instead want to be friends with NATO. If Russia is that powerful, they should have implemented a Navel blockade and take it directly to NATO since that is where their gross is, and the poor country of Ukraine out of it. |
Bros, sorry this girl na one chance. You have to let her go, forget the investments; cut her loss, she is using you because she knows you love and care for her. Throw her stuff outside and lock her out, don’t listen to her mom when she calls, don’t take her back when she comes back ‘crying’ and ‘repenting’, she does not love you. |
Assuring Nigerians in Ukraine of their safety, when you can’t even assure those at home of safety? very interesting, how are they going to do that now? |
Teerach:How did the West or US pushed Ukraine? US have stated many weeks ago that they will not send in an American soldiers to help Ukraine. It is the Ukrainians that are fighting for the sovereignty of their country, they love their freedom dearly that, they are willing to die for it instead of surrendering to Putin’s demands. |
A305:Speak only of what you know, there was no such agreement between NATO and Russia or in the UN, if there were Putin will be quoting it right and left as his justification. I challenge you to post a link containing such a UN/NATO/Russia agreement or resolution, because if it exists, it will just be a google search away. |
very pity full, exactly like in Nigeria….where it is the younger ones, who pay the ultimate price for the mid rule of the old and dying gangs. |
Another white elephant project to siphon moni into their private pockets. Mtceehtesfxzx! |
Ammishaddai:Completely ignore this idea! Western countries are becoming more stringent in allowing legal immigration each passing day, any opportunity you get to jappa today, don’t delay it a minute longer, ask those who delayed their immigration all over the world until Trump came into office. 4K pound/monthly after tax is not too great and it is not too bad, you will find many earning lower than you and it is more or less a stepping stone to better IT jobs, your employers know this and they wouldn’t even keep you at that level for too long else they will lose you to their competition right next door. And as soon said earlier, you may be doing this for your extended family. Yes, it is possible that, UK is bad but you need to go experience it yourself, after all you can still come back to Nigeria if you don’t like it there. |
Amazingify:If prayers changes anything, Nigeria would have been paradise on earth by now! |
Difrent:….and nothing stopped Ukraine from joining NATO before now, even after putting it in their constitution…NATO was willing and ready to accept their membership. This aggression by Russia will encourage more countries in East Europe to flock to join NATO….how many simultaneous war fronts can Russia open and sustain? |
Cptflint:The Minsk agreement was violated by the separatist & DPR and not by Ukraine. Go read more on it…. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minsk_agreements#Minsk_Protocol |
Benesis:Ukraine have not joined NATO, have they joined Russia wouldn’t have attacked them….and one of the conditions demanded by Putin for not attacking is a pledge from Ukraine not to join NATO in the future. Guess what this do…many of those East European Countries will now flock to NATO further isolating Russia. |
seunlayi:Na wen your neighbor house dey catch fire na him you suppose go check for gas cylinder if the think dey leak! Otherwise yours might be next. |
Nonsense, They are copying the males, who are the bigger prostitute religious affiliation not withstanding. That is why brothels and bear parlors in the North are empty during fasting period and become like the haven of bees after fasting. It is those same people that were fasting a moment ago that came back to patronize their customers. Those who go to Mecca and Jerusalem for pilgrimage are the highest looters of our treasurer. They will use the money they looted to travel to the so-called ‘Holy Lands’. If those Lands are truly Holly, I expected these looters to be smitten dead on stepping their foots there. Religion and beliefs systems as widely practiced in Nigeria today is scam! |
chukbonda:no wander dem say teacher reward na heaven e dey….double wahala for teacher wey come no make heaven! |
Moferere:Unless, you are insinuating that, it is billionaire money and not her stupidity that made her and/or lawyer skip their schedule court date. Sometimes, we are the architect of our own failures. |
Na dem Reverend Father meat bi that, just auditioning…..if you know you know. |
useni1:It appear that, we are both aligning here. Yes, I agree that the United State's defense spending is highly prioritized against all other departments in the US, but I disagree that, it is the huge defense spending that is probing the dollar. Look at it this way...The huge US defense spending is prop up be deficit spending, many of the money borrowed on worth-less IOU notes that other countries, businesses, etc buys. I call the IOU notes worth-less, because they are all fiat money on paper. If the US huge defense spending is prop up by the barrel of the gun, why are countries like China and Russia not able to float that same huge deficit defense spending to boost their defense? I think any country on earth would like to spend heavily on their defense if they can simply write some worthless IOU notes and get the money. The reason that many countries can not do it like the US boils down to the trust other countries, businesses and individuals have in the America system, her democracy and stability. People and business run for safety in time of chaos and also trust a true democracy, where they can have a recuse in the rule of law in that country. China and Russia are not democracies, The Chinese ruing party can wake up tomorrow and outlaw Alibabe or Bidu or divide up the company without allowing them a single day in court, how do you think that will bring confidence in the mind of the next investor who want stability. Same apply to Russia, opponents can be eliminated over night, opponent's businesses can be reduced to zero with a blink of an eye, how would anyone trust such a power. Yes, America is ruthless and continues to fight wars all over, every single day....but, they have clearly made themselves a 'superpower' that people and countries will willingly align to and pledge alliance to.....Russia is trying to force people and countries to pledge allegiance to them through the barrel of the gun and zero goodwill....China is using her surplus money to buy good portion of Africa because of our worthless leaders e.g. the case of Zambia and very soon Nigeria, so they can make slaves out of these poor countries and become their 'superpower'....which of these superpowers will endure the test of time, the one to which majority of people flock to because of their open system and rule of law, or the ones that uses the gun and money to enslave their subject with zero rule of law? Guns, bombs and huge defense budget can only win wars and battle; you need more than that to keep the peace and rule your subjects and keep them in compliance, and since no country can perpetually be in the state of war forever, when the bombs stop falling what next? The Russians learn that bitter lesson in Afghanistan in the 70s and recently the Americans learnt that in the same country. |
useni1:Sorry sir, I must have hit a nerve ending somewhere! GDP does not grow vacuum, go look up the component makeups of China’s GDP who their top export destinations are and percentage. For the last few quarters China’s GDP has been growing at half the space of that of USA, meaning that their rate of growth is now hitting a ceiling. We have seen this picture before; in the 1930s going by GDP growth, Germany was to become the world economy power house, we all know how that ended. In the 1960s and 1980s USSR was to become another economic powerhouse, well we all know how that came crashing. Now China is growing and you think the America institutions that punctured holes in those previous bubbles are sitting idle away. These American instructions don’t boost, they don’t issue pre releases. To be a super power transcends the number of gun powder one possesses or economic stats. The 2007 world wide Great Depression was triggered by subprime loans in America and one company going belly-under in the US, the cascading effect was felt worldwide including in China where more companies went under. I am not saying that, America can’t be overtaken by an emerging super power, but it will take more that stats measured in fiat currencies to do that, because American tentacles have stretched far and wide that it will become challenging to undo them. Russia banks have to load up on America dollars before the America Sanctions were announced because many Russians and companies abandon their local currency and buy dollar for safe haven….how are you a super power when your people will not even trust your currencies in the times of crises. China’s have been buying real estates and investments in the US with part of their trade surpluses, instead repatriating 100% of that money back to China….and they load up on US dollars against yarn to artificially suppress the yarn exchange rate. I can go on and on, how this will be huge lift for China, but I am already preaching to the choir, so no need. |
useni1:You must be smoking something, if you think China will blindly follow Putin into a face off with the USA. China is a growing economy power thank to the USA...check their stats....more than 50% of China's world exports land in the USA, and Russia is no where near the top 10 of world exports from China. You think, China will gamble that growth potential and source of export by joining Russia, what will China gain? |
Righteousness2:Useless and self-Righteousness delusional nuts, who vainly uses the name of the Lord here on a daily bases and speaks when the Lord has not spoken, your damnation will come swiftly and surely. That how you deceived us that, the Lord spoke that Trump will win the second term, when God did not speak....when that failed, America is your delusional posts have now earn the wrath of God. The chess player here is American, America from the beginning have started that, they will not confront Russian directly that this face-off is between Ukraine and Russia. What America have successfully done is to rarely and unified the whole world against Russia and Sanctions are coming from all over the world against Russian. Even the undersea gas pipeline from Russia to Germany that America had successfully kicked against many years ago that Germany should not undertake, because of this Germany have put that contract on hold and are readying more sanctions against Russia. Because of this action, more former USSR break-out countries want to join NATO in order to be protected against Russia aggression and Russia have not dare touched any NATO country in Europe for fear of retaliation...Europe have sent more forces to former NATO countries for protection. Gradually Russia is been isolated.....Russia miscalculated, they initially thought that, this will be USA vs Russia face off, but Biden outsmarted Putin and made it The World vs Putin...something Trump would have never achieved, because Trump had started dismantling NATO for Putin to have a free ride. Russia is a very small economy, it will not withstand a sustained economic squeeze from all around, very some the oligarchies within Russia will start feeling the squeeze and not able to enjoy their previous lavish lifestyle will start fracturing from within and Putin will have both internal and external issues to deal with. Had Trump being the US President today, there would have been a momentary win for Putin, but with an Opposing force in Washington DC, Putin will soon run out of steam and will call soon crawl back to Washington DC with his tails behind him calling for bi-lateral talks. |
lalasticlala:This appear to be one of those illegal immigrants camp, give them enough publicity and the government will be forced to descend on them, clear the whole place out, arrest then depot them. |
