engrchykae:Agreed, they are weak but there is strength in numbers, their motto is; an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. So, any Country that want to attack the weakest of them, will have the strongest of them to contend with. I do not see much improvement in the comparative poverty index of Africa today vs during WW1 & WW2 that would prevent inflow of able-body young African fighters into Europe. I even heard that, many young able Africans have started beseeching Ukraine embassies in Africa Countries asking to be conscripted into the Ukraine Army and shipped to the war front. If Ukraine process the first batch, however little they maybe, the floodgate will open for thousands more, coming to be given the opportunity to be sent to the war front to fight the white man’s war. Our leaders have so impoverished us in Africa to the extent that the thinking and logic many people in Africa are also impoverished and poor. |
Rolly22:Agreed, Nigeria dey fvck up badly, but having a National Air ways is not a yardstick of development. Nigeria should have strong independent carriers that flies National & International routes and some designated as National representatives at international Airports when is comes to Nigeria reciprocal rights and assignments. The FG role should be to provide good environment for them to strive and support at International Airports. The US and many Western Countries do not have a National Airline and they are doing just fine. |
Mynd44:Poland is a NATO member unlike Ukraine, Putin know better not to touch them as it means him escalating the war to now involve face to face contact with NATO. |
DCONE1:NATO have maintained that stand since the war started…..Biden have stated many weeks before the war started that, no US or NATO will step foot on Ukraine or confront Russia directly, but they will defend every inch of NATO territory in Europe! This has been their position. |
ItsmeF:You understand the original color is the one you are seeing on the lower part? If you think about that, for a moment you will understand why he wants to eliminate that color. I concur he may have been using a very cheap bleaching product and need to stop it….but, the aspect of it going back to its original color is nauseating, he should find a remedy to that….maybe better bleaching cream? |
This basically means that, ‘our suffer neva do’ and that, the only direction that fuel prices can go, even if our refineries are working at full capacity or if PMS is been imported is up! Maybe Nigerians will start coming to the conclusion that, the best outcome is the availability of fuel and not the cost as a result will be willing to accept the removal the fuel subsidies as a compromise. |
Toks2008:Let me go some extra mile to see if this can be made clearer to you that, there is NO discrepancy, we already have case laws in Nigeria built around the age eighteen, but lets remain with the Child Act here: Section 31: 1. No person shall have intercourse with a child. 2. A person who contravenes the provision of Subsection (1) of this section commits an offence of rape and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for life. 3. Where a person is charged with an offence under this section, it is immaterial that - (a) The offender believed the person to be of or above the age of eighteen years; or (b) The sexual intercourse was the consent of the child. I think, your problem is, you are focusing on Section 3(a), which is wrong. Section 3(a) is removing a perceived defense that the perpetrator might offer in court.....i.e. something along the line of....."Your Honor, but she looks mature and like a eighteen years old lady". The above argument is bad, because the person is admitting that, they know that the age of consent is 18, but the victim does not look like a 18 year old lady...So, the Act anticipating that line of defense pulled the rug from under it. The actual place you should focus on instead is Section 31 (1), that is the crime....The crime is having an intercourse with a child. If you read the Act further (I have attached hereunder a link to the Lagos Child Act, which was adopted from the FGN's....moreso Lagos have jurisdiction over this case ) in: Section 227 - Interpretation, it clearly stated among others that: 1. age of majority means the age at which a person attains the age of eighteen years. 2. child means, a person under the age of eighteen years; So, if you add the definition of who is a child to Section 31 (1); the clear unambiguous interpretation is that the age of consent is eighteen and this is the age Nigeria case laws have been using. https://lawsofnigeria.placng.org/laws/C50.pdf |
Ournolly:He is talking about the foster mother of the 14 year old. |
Toks2008:The age of consent in Nigeria is 18 years and not 11: Section 31 (3) (a) of the Child's Rights Act 2003 states that, “Where a person is charged with an offence (of unlawful sexual relations with a child) under this section (31 of the same act), it is immaterial that the offender believed the person to be of or above the age of eighteen years.” In addition to that: Read up Section 7 of the Sexual Offense Bill of 2015, these are the punishment for age categories 0 to 18: 1. A person who commits an act which causes penetration with a child is guilty of an offence called defilement. 2. A person who commits an offence of defilement with a child aged eleven years or less shall upon conviction be sentenced to imprisonment for life. 3. A person who commits an offence of defilement with a child between the age of twelve and fifteen years is liable upon conviction to imprisonment for life. 4. A person who commits an offence of defilement with a child between the age of sixteen and eighteen years is liable upon conviction to imprisonment for life. |
crossfm:Is there something in their job ethics that clearly stated that, they could not dance? Dancing is universal, there is nothing immoral in it, and they were at their duty post… sacking them was a bit of an overreach. |
ednut1:Because there is mutual benefit there. Otherwise, Russia can retaliate and place their own sanctions and stop selling Oil & Gas to Europe & US….case close! That will be suicide mission by Russia. |
zigzagluv:I see that, you don’t even know what AI enabled map is, or how it works. The fact that you think they may need AI map to hit targets, show you don’t understand what I am talking about. I never stated they need AI maps like google map to hit target, the old compass work well for that. Let me try to explain this to you in layman English…For you to hit a target using your compass, you must know the coordinates of your target or where your enemies are, you must also know the coordinates of where civilians are so that you don’t hit them. What if you don’t know these coordinates and see your enemy soldiers are in the field or forest and constantly moving and civilians are moving, many fleeing and you still want to hit your enemies even in their new locations but avoid civilians in their fleeing routes. The solution that modem Army uses are over head flying spy planes to do reconnaissance flights and send feedback of what they can see back to control which rely it to you and you input the coordinates…spy planes are very limited, they can be shutdown, they can only see things in their flight path, they can see enemy soldiers inside buildings, forests, etc….ie they can only see things in the open. Now come AI enabled phones that any Tom, dick and harry can buy in the market, the maps on these phones send their location information constantly to a google server….a Russia soldier with that map will have real time data and coordinates of his enemies and friends and can accurately plan their attack. The problem here is not that the technology is difficult, so China and Russia should have AI enabled maps….but an AI enabled map without people having access to that map and phone and using it widely is useless as it does not have usage base from where to collect feedbacks. |
Dalil8:Having realized that, having more nukes does not mean more powerful or deadly….The US and Russia have a strategic agreement to keep reducing their Nuclear stockpiles and thousands of nuclear stockpiles have been reduced over the years through this verifiable agreement. Having more nukes, is like someone who wants to commit suffice drinking more bottles of snipers to do the deal, when just one is enough. |
ityP:There is no flaw in that logic, it is not every perk that the President enjoys under our laws that are extended to his appointees. Agreed, he is more powerful, but he was elected to that position to server a particular fix amount of time/year by the constitution of this country and that time cannot be abridged by an ACT, his appointees were not elected, they serve at his pleasure. This perk does not only apply to the President, it is also applicable to all Elected Officials even ward Counselors, because they are protected by law to server their full tenure unless otherwise ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction. |
justuschi50:Bros, go read up on the Cuban crises and come back....US was not prepared to go to war with Cuban; they gave a countdown for Soviet to remove the already install missile components in Cuban or they will strike the installation site and take it down themselves. On the Democratic Government, you are paraphrasing what I wrote.....I never said every part of the world should implement a democratic government, it is impossible and not a good fit for some places. I already stated that all fingers are not equal and all powers are not equal, so democratic rule can't for be everyone, etc. What I stated is that, since it is inevitable to have a Super Power country in the world; I will prefer a country with a Democratic Government where there is rule of law, access to their court systems and strong opposition party to be a Super Power over me than a Dictatorship Government. Even common victims of visa denials during the Trump era are suing the US Government in US Courts, Refuges camped in Mexico are uing the US Government in the US Courts, victims of US wars are suing US Government in the US court, even suspected terrorists locked up in Gitmo are suing the US Government in US court and many of them are winning in the Court and some are getting settlements from the US Government, the funny thing is, these people will get US Lawyers to represent them pro-bono. Can you get this kind of access in Russia courts? Russia backed separatist shotdown a civilian Malaysia Airline flight 17 on the donetsk region with Russia made missiles in 2014 killing all 298 people on board. Russia denied involvement, they even refused cooperating with the investigation and in the UN they opposed the criminal investigation of the people involved and shielded them from trial, it was international arrest warrant that led to the arrest of some of the suspects.....The victims families were not given access to Russia court for civil suit at least to get some compensations....It was the US court that gave them to pursue their civil law suites, while the Dutch government took Russia to an EU court. |
Lionessza:So.....if like 'to know' from a lady who has experienced it.....how will they know, they have experienced it, if they have have to be asleep and not know about it? It is like asking someone to provide a negative. |
ityP:I know na, presido no fit resign na…if Russia come attack us, who go launch our Nuclear code? |
FreeStuffsNG:I don’t think, there should be a middle group. Being a political appointee gives one leverage, influence and powers that others running for the same office does not have. If you want to run, simply resign….many today in Nigeria uses the full force, authority and resources and by extension the resources of the government to run because of their appointments….so resigning or stepping down level the playing field somewhat. |
justuschi50:US imposed a blockade against the Soviet and took the face off directly to the Soviet, man to man. US did not hail hellfire missiles over Cuba and marched tanks and troops into poor Cuban and start killing then until they change their mind and reject the Soviet. That is how mature men settle disputes. If Russia was truly as powerful as they professed, they should have square directly with US or NATO and leave the poor Country of Ukraine out of it. Only one person died during the Cuban missile crises and it was a US spy plane pilot shot down by Cuban, America did not reiterate against Cuban, that is to show you the hallmark of maturity. At the end of the day, all fingers cannot be equal, all Countries cannot have equal military might and they cannot all be super powers, given this reality….I will prefer a Country with democratic elected government with full deliberative powers, where the political parties diversity balance each other up and people are allowed to air their negative opinion about the government openly and their court system is open and fair than a dictator that answers to no one and a Country whose Court system are close and backs the dictator. |
Francisanointed:Though, I believe this story is fictional. But, he didn’t have an affair……They had an affair, it was a mutual agreement and must have been mutually beneficial! |
teepain:Since this feature is a feedback mechanism that AI uses to mark concentration spots, it usefulness is directly proportional to how many people out there are using that App e.g. Waze or Google Map. Waze usage dominate in US, I use it on a daily basis because it tells me if a traffic cop is ahead of or if there is an accident, parked vehicle, dead animal on the road, pot holes and all kind of real data. So if people are not using Waze in Ukraine, it wouldn’t provide this kind of feedbacks because there are no other Waze apps around to use as the AI input, but Google map is widely used outside the US. People that are saying Russia should have something like this are clueless, this is an AI feature that receives data from another App that is widely used by the population….and definitely Russia gadgets are not used by civilians in Ukraine from where they will get this real time AI feedback. Those saying Satellites is a solution also does not know how satellites work. Satellites does not provide real time feedback hence Countries like Russia, USA, etc build spy planes to do reconnaissance flights…..Yes, Russia can use spy but, these are fast changing troop movements and formation, plus the plan can’t be in the air for too long plus it has limitation, it is used to spy specific area, you can’t spy a big area, and those plans can be shot down. |

AroleOduduwa2:Google map provides more than coordinates and you clearly did not read the piece. If you read and understand the piece or the features of Google map, you will noticed that coordinates were not disabled because ‘turn by turn’ directions still works. Google map just like most modern driving App e.g. Waze also provides real time data based on AI feedback to enable drivers route around real time congestions ahead. Therefore Ukraine Soldiers and people fleeing provide data points that feeds the Google map AI bot, which then mark those positions as high traffic spots in real time….if the Russias are using this Google map feature, they will know where the concentration of Ukraine Soldiers are, the route people are fleeing through, etc this is the feature that was disabled. @ Investigative zigzagluv |
Righteousness2:Again, you are speaking from both sides of your mouth and sounding incoherent. The two parts above are contradictory; on one hand you say, this war means the rapture will soon take signifying the end of the world…..and on another hand, you are saying this war signifies that Russia and China are taking over from America economically and financially….so where will Russia & China enjoy or exert their new found financial & economic dominance if the world will be ending? Please, don’t mock God by all these nonsense, say what you know….just preach Jesus Christ and His for humanity and call for repentance and stop all these commentaries as they devalue the message. |
Righteousness2:So if it is abomination and Evil that have crippled America and Europe, what has crippled Nigeria? Can you point to one nation on earth that is lifted up by righteousness? Remember that Israel allows gays and lesbians and they are even in their military. Israel is Magog? Are you sure you are not one of those false prophets that even your own prophecies say they will come on the last day, deciding the truth |
Odewaleadesoye:The West didn’t push them, before the war started, the West already told them that, they will not send soldiers to fight, google and check Biden’s statements many weeks ago. Give credit to the Ukraines, they are taking their destiny into their own hands and decide that, they will not allow a dictator decided their future or that of their kids…..unlike us cowards in Nigeria and until we are as brave as they are, nothing will improve in Nigeria. |
Help2020:All Nuclear war deterrents in the US and Russia are on high alert 24/7. What Putin did by ‘putting them in high alert’ is showbiz for hype sake, it is ado about nothing. That is why the Nuclear bomb codes aka Nuclear “football” follows the US President where ever he goes, because they are on high alert 24/7. This is even Trump Aide below carrying the nuclear football and there are many of them. And are usually exchanged between outgoing and incoming US Presidents at the swearing ceremony. When Trump did not attend Biden’s swearing in, one football followed Biden to Florida, where he had the sole authority to launch a Nuclear struck until 11:59:59 on the swearing day….another football was there with Aides on the swearing venue for Biden. So these guys are on high alert 24/7 for dis Nuclear thing no bi today.

WarriAproko:I dey suspect say you no enter Geography class one day, if your understanding is EU needs Russia airspace to reach Asia. Do you even know where Russia is on the map of the world? Pull up that map and educate yourself, then come back and delete that thing you wrote up ⬆️ there. |
CTee1:Ukraine is not a NATO member. |
Suspect33:Not true, Russia have superior firepower no doubt, but unless Russia obliterate Russia or use the N bomb, which they will not do because of the repercussions, they will have to send troops on boot into Ukraine either to take it or occupy it. That is where the Ukraine resilient will draw down Russia….This war will be won by the street to street fighting that will follow or the gorilla warfare. I am not saying Ukraine will win, but the Russia will start facing a hard reality if to continue the street to street fight with that economy suffering on a daily basis and the daily riots or consolidate that advancements and stop further push and escalation. |
maasoap:China have their own obsession and plan too, which is taking over Taiwan & Myanmar, which the US oppose and China is portraying that it’s not similar like Russia vs Ukraine. Plus, US is the largest trading partner of China. So, why not stay out of this instead of damaging relationships over what is not directly involving them? International politics and strategy is a nuanced balancing act and not always black and white in all cases. |
