Why is moon 🌒 always causing confusion in islam
It's basically about the 2 different calenders of the 2 major religions.....the Muslims use the hijri calendar while the xtians use the Gregorian which is Jan to Dec.

The month of Ramadan is the 9th month and has always been the 9th month, the end of which is when Ramadan is celebrated....the xtian calendar is in the fourth month while the Muslim is in the 9th going to the 10th.....

If the pic u posted is anything to go by,there isn't any time frame stated for the appreciation of the naira to sub 200 naira.......if anything, this is actually the first time we would be seeing the naira appreciate from any level of depreciation ever in the history of this country..... that then tells you something positive is being done and we can all encourage them and criticise where necessary.

Using FX reserves and loans to defend the Naira isn't sustainable. We're an import-dependent country; how long do you think we can keep this up for?

We need long-lasting solutions, not band aids.

Everyone's dream is for a better Nigeria. Remove your rubbish tribalism from the conversation.
To get us to the level of industrialisation we require,it's going to take quite an effort and painstakingly a while.....you need to get electricity to be more efficient, agric for raw materials also have to be developed, govt bureaucracy, local community dynamics, security......all this will take a while to get around,so the govt needs an urgent solution to mitigate our dwindled economy.

All factors needed to restore the Nigerian Econ can't be done in 4 years.

Some of them were seriously injured.

The video even showed the stranded passengers stopping other vehicles and begging them to carry them as they dont have a dime on them.

So you are waiting for official statement from the police? You go wait tire

From the first day Tinubu was sworn in, insecurity has become the order of the day. The lives of Nigerians is worthless to Tinubu and his minions. No feasible strategy is in place to curb incessant kidnapping, banditry and killing of Nigerians in every part of the country
Do not let hate becloud your reasoning.....this story doesn't add up and there are a lot of holes in the story.

*First where are the pics or videos of the victims
*Where is the official statement by the police and the company involved
* Where are the injured once.
* Do you know what it takes to successfully rob a luxury bus with over 50 passengers.
*That road is a very busy road even at night and there are so many police checkpoints on that road.
*According to the story, the bus was ambushed which would have been possible only by a total road block.....this would have been almost impossible as other road users would have been affected and this would have alerted the security agencies.
*It would take several hours to successfully rub a bus of that size fully loaded and quite a number of men to hold the victims down.
Business › Re: CBN Pegs Minimum Capital Base For Banks At ₦‎500 Billion by Lithiumite: 6:08am On Mar 29, 2024
Penguin2:
When I said in the other thread that buffoons have taken power in Nigeria, it seemed like I was just hating on Tinubu government but it’s the truth.

Or tell me what this particular policy is meant to achieve.

Explain it to me like I’m in nursery school.

In the end, what they will achieve is that banks come together and merge together so they can get the 500billion naira base capital. That’s how we will end up having about just 5 commercial banks remaining.

So, ultimately they will end up shrinking Nigerians’ choices and leaving us at the mercy of just few banks who will treat us as they like because our options are limited.

If you disagree with this, then tell me the advantages of this policy.

I’ll wait
Our banks as they are right now are under capitalised to undertake the drive to grow the economy by $1 trillion as this govt envisages.

It's better to have 5 capable banks than have 100 mushroom banks that can't drive economic growth.

No one will be at the mercy of any bank because technology has helped diversify the financial space.....I personally haven't been into a bank for almost a year now.

Who told you they haven't and who told you they have.....do you think the journey from conception to planning to implementation and running of such an investment is a sprint of a few yards.....it's not even upto a year yet....do you have any idea the amount of paper work and processes involved let alone feasibility and EPA's......oga abeg go Siddon,I will only take you seriously if you bring proof stating that that agreement isn't being implemented....if you can't,just crawl back into your ignorant bubble and revel in it all by yourself.

Based on the kind of business I am involved, I have to buy lots of fuel and diesel. Averagely 1200l of diesel and 1200l of fuel weekly. As a result of that, I will better understand the games played, at least in stations around me.
First picture is of 2 Nnpc selling for ₦568.
4 liters programed on the machine. You can see one has a better pump than the other.
Second picture is of a filling station, Jimyco, at pako bustop, dopemu. 4liters programmed at the pump. 645 per liter.
Tell me which filling station owner doesn't doctor his pumps, there are only varying levels of avarice involved...... cheating and criminality is an inherent problem with man whether white or black.

I am not justifying the crazy level of corruption we have in this country but we shouldn't try to paint a subjectively negative aesthetic.

You can report the erring filling station to DPR and trust me,that station will be sanctioned.

Fuel has ranged in price within the range you said with no change. Nnpc has been the lowest at 558, while others sell between that price and 650. Even in my area, one sells for 670.
The Nnpc is really over ₦600, infact more like 640 as their pumps are all manipulated. You think you are buying cheaper but in reality you are buying not at 558 but well over ₦600.
Bottomline line, nothing has reduced.
If that was the case, they would have been busted a long time ago and many motorists would have since stopped buying from NNPC....their is no marketer that hasn't or doesn't tweak their metering for dispensation whether APC or PDP or the so called reformers who are deluded in their vain labour......no one is left out.

Politics › Re: Disregard Reports Of fuel, diesel pump price adjustments - NNPC by Lithiumite: 10:19pm On Mar 27, 2024

First, there were rumors about the Naira appreciating at N900 to a dollar, which were debunked with facts.

And now the NNPCL is debunking the propaganda APC spread that fuel pump prices and diesel pump prices have decreased.

It's now obvious that Tinubu, the APC, their supporters, and their minions are not ready for purposeful governance but rather to engage in spreading lies, falsehoods, and propaganda.
Where and when did the govt come out to officially tell you they were reducing pump prices?

The job of detractors like yourself is to be crying wolf where there is none...... just a few weeks back PMS was selling for over 650 across Lagos,as at today I saw 610 and 618 across many stations, even NNPC was 558.

Your inability to acknowledge anything good isnt anyone's fault but yours and yours only.

Surely one of the reasons.....why was it when govt slammed the hammer on binance that the dollar started the turn around.

Every right thinking person and patriotic Nigerian who had sleepless nights over the plummeting naira value will know that the high dollar values were artificial and did not reflect the real economy of the country.....we kept asking who were the people buying the dollar at those outrageous figures, definitely not the average man on the street but speculators who used platforms like binance to continue to dump the naira and storing dollars to the detriment of the economy

Tinubu needs Northern support in order to win re-election. If you're thinking of rigging election in the north, then forget it. Once he loses Northern support, he can't rig in the north. You can only rig or write numbers where you are popular.

El-rufai was one of the fiercest supporters of Tinubu during the electioneering period. But after elections, Tinubu abandoned him. The least he should have been given is a minister.

Before you call me ipob and sorts, go and check my previous posts, before and during the election period.
And who told you tinubu abandoned him.....this is the script of 2023 playing out again, el rufai, kwakwanso, atiku and an obi against Tinubu.....that's a divided opposition against the APC with incumbency and the experience of a skilled political colossus like tinubu.

Tinubu 2027 will be a walk over....the south needs to do their 2 terms and no northerner will want to use an obi to replace tinubu when they know it would be the turn of the north come 2031 instead of waiting till 2035.

Sim Fubara is ill-advised. Running a directionless government in Rivers State and wasting our money on thanksgiving services and support groups. Nothing to show. No wonder Akpabio tackled him last time. For someone who was asking the political class, "what is the struggle all about?" He keeps struggling for power. Very soon he will be given his scorecard. Time flies.
The people urging him on are just pained and envious of that man Wike........he will spend the entire 4 years playing politics by buying support everywhere and trying to be Mr Nice guy,he won't settle down to do anything for rivers state because his government is already unsettled.

His case is like the case of a boy who believes he as come of age and starts to discard his father and seniors believing he can handle life on his own not knowing that he hasn't seen nothing.

Lagos worked and is still working because tinubu was able to protect his governors by making them focus on governance while he fights the politics which can distract any governor or even president.....same thing Wike would have been able to do for Fubara.....he would have just been the fashola of rivers.
