Buckeyemedia1:The Saudis would have killed him and Britain and United States would still value Saudi Arabia more than any country in Africa. Nigerians don’t seem to understand the outside world; if they did, they would appreciate Nigeria more. |
petra1:What about the dignity in her that she felt was offended by his self-entitled possession of her social distance (Personal Space) ? ![]() It is not anyone and everyone that pastor can just slap abusively on the forehead claiming in the name of god just because they attended his sermons or church. This pastor is the type that inadvertently demeans the poor by assuming a paternalistic attitude informed by colonial notions of Catholic Church under the dispensation and magnanimity of Rome. Politicians learn their disregard of the poor from these examples and the poor reciprocate with timidity. |
Oasis001:Or design one for Nigeria military: different shape, weight, fit for the African theatre, and manufactured indigenously or commissioned abroad. In any case, we ought eventually to issue Nigeria military helmets uniquely Nigerian instead of utilitarianley plumbing for generic helmets off the international market shelf. |
id911:What is stew for the rice dish is stew for the yams. Those that love it when the people believe whatever is said, without evidence, against Nigeria authorities, shouldn't be surprised when the people believe without evidence what is said about those fighting the authorities. It's for this reason that we all need to raise the awareness of the masses from naive acceptance of things to one in which they ask questions and seek evidence. The people also need to understand what objectivity means in practice. |

Majority of individuals in any one nation are said to be unintelligent. Majority of people tend to believe what is told them by “official” sources. This presents an all encompassing problem and remains for any nation an ever present and persistent dilemma. For this reason, make evidence seeking your friend or in the end everyone suffers. |
Why after the murder of, Exiled-in-US, Jamal Khashoggi in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia isnt now a pariah state, boycotted, shunned, and sanctioned by the West? |
vasel15:Is Fulani now a term of insult or you literaly means I'm Fulani? Did you look at the history of the massacre of Tutsi’s by Hutus and instead of reeling back in horror and thinking, this must never happen again, you smiled to yourself and thought, ‘Eureka! The way that this happened in Rwanda is a voluble lesson and one to use on African Nations because Africans are stupid and easily manipulated into rising up and slaughtering themselves in pogrom scales?’ |
vasel15:Is Fulani now a term of insult or you literaly means I'm Fulani? |
sematec:Speak for yourself, I personally like being Nigeria. In fact I can’t think of any nation in Africa I’d rather be than a Nigerian. Apologies if what it seem to me you meant, isn’t what you meant. |
The first quantum operating system is now available on a chip thanks to Cambridge-based quantum specialist Riverlane’s work with New York and London-based digital quantum company Seeqc. The sensational breakthrough is equivalent to the moment during the 1960s in traditional computing when computers shrunk from being room-sized to being sat on top of a desk. Seeqc is developing the first fully digital quantum computing platform for global businesses.based in Elmsford, New York, with facilities in London, UK and Naples, Italy, Seeqc applies classical and quantum technology through digital readout and control technology and a unique chip-scale architecture. Cambridge-based Riverlane is heading a consortium financed by a £7.6m government grant which is tasked with building a quantum operating system. It announced the initial version of the worlds first quantum operating system, Deltaflow.OS, late last year. Now, for the first time, a scalable quantum computer has been demonstrated featuring a quantum operating system running on a unique, chip-scale integrated quantum computing architecture. Low-latency performance is important for running quantum algorithms efficiently and achieving quantum advantage. Seeqc and Riverlane make up an important part of the UK quantum technology sector, and co-location in the UK is key to achieving tight system integration. Dr Hutchings said: “This is the first time we have built an integrated quantum computing chip based on our unique scalable architecture and run a programme on it. We achieved stability and full-stack control and, in so doing, also a remarkable moment for the evolution of quantum computing. ChelseaInAfrica:You have it the wrong way around; actually, this report suggests that without Nigeria there would be more chaos and fighting not less. |
Story telling Nation I like the name Nigeria but actually Novella sounds nice. Novellians ![]() |
mrvitalis:Indeed and protesters should respect the peace and property of the wider public and state. |
When sinister, shadowy individuals go online writing that Nigeria should be boycotted by X, Y or Z firms and these same type of people petition foreign governments and institutes like the BBC not to publicise up and coming Nigerian entrepreneurs on BBC Africa, for instance, claiming that showcasing Nigerian youths doing good and innovating would only make Nigeria seem progressive, which isn’t the right message to send the international community about the Nigerian political State; why, this isn’t really about punishing Nigerian government, it is really about a foreign African nation trying to economically sabotage Nigeria by exploiting oppositional Nigeria civil society voices Nigerians really need to wake up |
Howl and kick over the presidential table in realisation that the mechanics of government turns so slow and requires the interaction of so many arms and layers of government, I’m unable to accomplish anything in one day. Now, if the question substitutes President with Magic Power….. |
Well, the more ordinary Nigerians continually insult Nigeria - indirectly causing the West to snub Nigeria in many fields - the more Nigeria will be pushed away from Western values beloved by Nigerians, embracing other international shares of influence. Since leadership is Islam oriented, they will gladly embrace the Islamic world, adopting much of that sphere of influence’s many theological and extreme foibles. Goodluck Jonathan, when being increasingly marginalised by the Obama administration, wisely moved Nigeria towards closer ties with the Chinese. I've always wondered why Nigerians that keep cussing and insulting the country, willing and wanting international investors to invest elsewhere, haven’t realised that the poorer Nigeria becomes the more it pushes Nigeria into the radical Islamic folds that they so hate. If you loath the north and fear so-called Fulani invasions and Islam etc poverty for Nigeria is the very least you should want. Bokoharam itself wants to dismantle as much vintages of Western influence and development it can. Opposition politics in Nigeria is short-sighted and not interested in Nigeria. Nigerians should never be this fanatical as they are about supporting any political party since when political parties are in opposition in Nigeria they target the destruction of Nigeria aiming to hurt the party in power. This implies that they are effectively fighting for power to exploit the Nation’s wealth for them. If they were interested in you, their attacks would be centred on government, government’s record and policies not Nigeria, Nigerians and the different ethnic groups that make up Nigeria. |
Tinubuadvocate:You're in part implying that “Nigerians” are deliberately helping to create a Bandwagon or Snowball effect by bad-mouthing Nigeria and praising another country. If so you’re undoubtedly right. |
Nigerians are primarily innovative and forward looking people, we should be looking at current trends such as Eve’s and moving forward rather than looking backward dragging outdated modes with small up-coming African nations. China is also a leading EV nation willing to work with Nigeria, why fight to be friends with the likes of Japan that are influenced by the West and consequently would snub Nigeria as the West does, when China is there ready and willing to assist and work with Nigeria? |
Jonegonu:True. Indigenous is best. When one thinks of about it, Nigeria should be beyond simply assembling the vehicles of foreign car makers, so that those vehicles are sold to local and other African markets. It’s up to Innoson and other indigenous companies to take advantage of the opportunity that Nigeria offers and that too many Nigerians do not due to short-sightedness. It’s this short-sightedness that Dangote exploits, leading to him monopolising vast markets in Nigeria. Innoson needs to begin looking at producing electric vehicles and there are US companies keen on working with start up Ev makers that would work with ingenuous Nigerian auto makers willing to venture into this field. Interestingly, several top analysts believe that Toyota is in trouble having fought against the Ev revolution although Toyota was an early pioneer with its hybrid Prius . Toyota lost its early lead to Tesla, VW, Mercedes, Hyundai and several other OM’s by pursuing the Hydrogen route. Innoson could work with companies like Sandy Monroe Associates that specialise in helping companies engineer vehicles or improve on vehicles they already produce. The company also helps in advising on assembly line and machine tools for manufacturing the relevant parts. Innoson should study Elon Musk, start investing in EV stations in place of Petrol Stations etc think in advance, look at the lack of infrastructure as opportunity not hindrances |
mizz2posh:In lay terms you cannot blame him for the stupidity of others. He threw down his corn he didn’t force the chickens to consume them. In legal terms he at least broke laws on Incident with not only immediate serious risk to specific identifiable persons, institutions and office, but identifiable deaths and damage to public and institutional property. |
There is a Ghanaian, possibly financed by their government, whose job, it seems, is to write stuff like this and upload them on you tube. Nigeria government needs to do something about individuals like these. |
“Two weeks ago, some Nigerians killed one another for selfish reasons at Sharjah, and another one just happened here in Abu Dhabi, when some guys went to an Arab man’s house, killed him, his wife and took away a huge amount of money from them.Where is the evidence this happened? Where are the people, what are their names? What state are they from, where are the video interviews ? |
“Two weeks ago, some Nigerians killed one another for selfish reasons at Sharjah, and another one just happened here in Abu Dhabi, when some guys went to an Arab man’s house, killed him, his wife and took away a huge amount of money from them. SaharaReporters learnt from credible sources that the UAE police are searching for more Nigerian nationals and conducting raids and arrests to get them jailed."Credible Sources" or "Secrete Contacts" are well worn phrases and hacks employed by unscrupulous news outlets and are understood in the industry as clues that such a story is made up. If possible Nigeria government needs to sue Sahara Reporters or tax them to produce evidence supporting all of theses tarnishing stories they write about Nigeria and Nigerians. And for god sake don’t gladly run with stories like theses written by Sahara Reporters or any other news platform because of your political prejudices these stories are actually about YOU THE PEOPLE! Don’t continue to act like simpletons! The newspaper is demonising YOU not the government. The writings is your enemy not your friend. |
A thread full of stories, all sorts of stories – imaginative ones, funny ones, dramatic ones, magic realist ones, sex and spies ones, etc I’m always harping on about the need for us to take and evidence based approach to news but the downside to this is we would then be deprived of all these wonderful and imaginative fantasy stories and deprived of astonishment at those that believe them to be facts by which the outside world operates. Don’t ask me what the facts are because I don’t know, I’m looking for more information, researching, digging and waiting |
olympianares:You're not the only one; the Brits never willingly act in favour of Nigeria’s short or long term interests. Outside of ulterior motives, international laws and protocols may be the compelling factor; even so, they’ll be after ways of bending and manipulating against Nigeria’s interest by some means not yet evident. |
catice:It was possibly difficult to defend him against extradition by arguing that since he wasn’t physically present in Nigeria he is not responsible for the deaths of Police, Military and civilian personnel killed by Unknown Gunmen in the East of Nigeria in response to his, Kanu’s, apparent proclamations or orders. Not least because he is a prominent figure associated with fiery, controversial rhetoric and separatists Movement. |

the British govt must do this must do that, why can't the biafran govt do something since u say he's biafran and not Nigerian? Delusional mentally deranged family. Imagine that mad man dripping in Fendi like hushpuppi while people are here losing their lives for his sake.
