ojun50:The list is longer in many African nations and longer still in some Nations of the West. |
Correcto:No mind them. The image they want to paint of Nigeria to the World is not matched by reality on the ground. Brainwashing works for a time but reality prevails in the end. |
The following topic by Charlesclique got me wondering of what use UAE embassy is to Nigeria: Is UAE Harsh To Nigerian With This News? by Charlesclique: 11:25amwww.nairaland.com/attachments/12052676_dubai_pngce592c6ca3c72cebfeaf733b46063d66 Does anyone know if Nigeria would make meaningful savings by closing all embassies in Africa except those in Egypt, Mali and South Africa; close the Middle East ones save that of Saudi Arabia, for obvious reasons; close the majority in Asia except for China, India and Malaysia; leave the ones in Europe, America and Canada. Perhaps exploit lessons learn in digital communications due to Covid as alternative way of representing Nigerians in all these far-flung places. |
Actually, what good is UAE to the Nigeria economy and average Nigerians wellbeing? The place is a playground for some wealthy Nigerians, holyday destination for middleclass Nigerians and curio for the majority outside of those petty traders that buy and sell there. Nigerian socialites hugely publicise the place and glam it up in the eyes of Africa. Nigerians stand to loose nothing by boycotting the place and we can build our own cities better than Dubai if we determined to do so. Why Nigeriasn put up with CRAP is beyond me. |
Majority of Nigerians i know that visit UAE go there to buy gold in Dubai, stop going there and invest your money in Nigeria. Nigerians do not need these nations, Nigeria has the population and the wealth to go it alone. |
If Nigerians stopped going to the UAE whose economy would suffer worst? Nigerians need to stop elevating these foreign nations and over respecting them. UAE is and Arab nation and if Nigerians are drug peddlers then Arab Nations are Terrorists exporters, simple. |
naptu2:When did Nigerians turn so bush? I used to see Africans footballers from all those backward places in French Africa and central Africa playing for European clubs dye their hair in funny colours that reinforced the blackness of tire faces and primitive fashion sense and I used to be so proud that Nigerian footballer’s didnt go for all that. Our players in Europe used to look so clean-cut and sophisticated comparatively. Now, however, its Nigerian footballers going around in green, red and dirty looking yellow hair, while the Africans from elsewhere are now looking sophisticated and clean cut. As I am at pains to point out, when I can, Nigerians do not value the superior things and ways that they have and are always ending up substituting the better things they have for the inferior things of the rest of Africa. Go to youtube and read Nigerians condemning their relatively better cities and buildings while praising the less developed and shabbier cities and building from other African nations. It’s as if when others praise themselves, Nigerians are unable to actually look, look and see through the bullshit, instead they fall for it and see the greatness of these others that is not actually there when you look well and dispassionately |
The wall is a good idea - i believe the cost include other major infrastructure in the area. Roads too, notorious for banditry in the country, need some terror prohibitive measure like barriers on either side that at least create a level of difficulty for these miscreants beyond business as usual. |
Jeffyblaq:What are these unhealthy government policies, please; genuinely, I want to know. |
Cumtroller:What do you understand about foreign AID? Did you know that China receives British AID or that Aid received by Nigeria is none dependency Aid unlike that received by many African nations? |
The Governor's view's made public's made the BBC, so unfortunate. |
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has insisted that there is sabotage in the system that will not allow insurgency to end in the North East. ‘Why Is Insurgency Not Ending?’ Recounting his experience during his recent trip to Baga town, Governor Zulum accused the military of taking over the farmlands of residents. “We have a huge population and people do not have access to their agricultural lands, and poverty is one of the causes of insurgency; why are you not allowing people to go back to their ancestral lands so that they will go and earn their living?” the governor questioned.I’m confused, is the area safe or unsafe? Are we being informed that terrorism in the area is exaggerated, in which case the military has done well but are now exploiting this decrease in terrorism to take over people’s farmland and creating terrorism on demand in order to keep the rightful owners of the land at bay? Or is the area rife with terrorism and terrorists occupancy due to the military’s abject failure in which case why is he advocating that people be sent back to their farms? Seems to me as if some posters want to have their cake and eat it…. or the unthinkable, that Terrorism in Nigeria is not Islamic Terror but a Nigeria Military creation or propagation for the exploitation of resources in the wake of anarchy similar to what the West does in Africa |
Of all the things you could do in your position as a human in bat form, like sneaking into a bank vault, na person house you go go. And, why-o-why would you want to transform into a small weakly creature like a bat if your intention is to kill or hurt a human a much bigger and stronger creature? I guess, you’d need to turn into a rabid bat… |
Please, those of you believers in witchery and demonery, before smiting that next owl, bat or See evidence for the pain of transformation below. In addition, the bloke was transmogrifying into a beast roughly the dimensions of a humanbeing, imagine the energy and agony required for rapid evolution from man to bat or owl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10a5cflZzBg |
ndubueze92:This is what I meant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibUNHZDOK3Y You have to understand that many on Niraland and on Social Media generally, when it concerns Nigeria, are not looking for truth and many lack the capacity to read and understand issues, others still are not Nigerians but foreigners keen to spread disinformation about Nigeria worldwide. The way OP couched his China Nigeria contract article is going to make such people run to the Social Media to claim that China has LITERALLY bought Nigeria . And when next time intelligent Nigerians, debating Africa issues with peers, try to caution nations like Zambia taking on too much China loans, these nations nationals will turn around and say Nigerians cant tell them anything because China owns Nigeria, which they bought for $400 million etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHP9o0AsJig Some like this so-called Nigerian Vlogger above have questionable loyalty to Nigeria and are often more concerned about making other African nations feel good at the expanse of Nigeria. |
hisgrace090:Abroad, they consider Hand-made shoes high-end products beyond the means of most people. I guess, one could say, therefore, that the lesser the automation, in this factory, the higher the quality of their footwear. |
I'm not sure, but did I imagine reading predominantly congratulatory messages by “Nigerians” to a Tanzanian or Cameroonian for a similar exercise in virility? If so, why the overwhelming condemnation for this Nigerian? |
Whyem15:Unfortunately, Nigerians school everywhere. I imagine only that the US would monitor the movement in America of any US citizen that attained their qualification at any Sudanese institute of higher education. |
Shepherdd:Don’t spoil my story, I’m building up to that. Nigerians used to be enthusiastic about the entire space and astronomy field but I have noticed a waning in interest. I’m trying to reengage some of the younger ones here. |
Alternatively, Nigeria could end Bokoharam conflict by bowing to America’s homosexual legalization wishes and concede to France by accepting their French controlled West Africa currency plans. Also vow never again to play a role interfereing in the coups and conflicts in West African nations that serve the interest of the West and other outside forces wanting to destabilize these African nations in order to harvest their mineral resources. |
The following is going to sound horrible and, may god forgive me for thinking and declaring it, but soldiers do not have to Take Prisoners you know. One of Nigeria military difficulties is that they are constrained by adhering to principles of responsible military behavior in conflict situations established by bodies such as the UN, WHO, UNISEF and Human Rights. Some of the very powers assisting bokoharam created all of these organizations. Nigeria dare not go all out like the Sri-lankans did because the West would sanction us hard. But there is always China. And, actually, turning to China would seem as if what Goodlock Jonathan began to do later on with the consequence that Obama’s America help remove him from office. |
One evening, when I was about 18 yo, I visited a pharmacy and declared loudly to the Indian woman on the other side of the counter that I would like a condom. She turned and moved to another part of the counter. I mirrored her movement on this side of the counter and when in front of her, I declared again that I would like a condom. She turned and moved to the other side of the counter. I did the same. She would not look at me and instead stared desperately at the entrance of the pharmacy. Nobody came in to my delight. Prior to visiting the Chemist, I had spent some time at home plucking up the courage to visit the chemist for condom. I was a virgin and the girl due to visit me was a prim and proper, sensible type who had no idea of my inexperience. Anyway, back at the pharmacy standoff. Eventually, the Indian, beautiful and polished looking woman in white and silver sparkling sari, waved her finger at the counter in front of me. I looked down and saw all these colourful packages. I looked back up at her and as before, she did not meet my gaze. As a black teenager, especially male and tall, you sort of get used to being feared and treated shabbily in stores and I judged her behaviour in this regard. Mind you, offence that I might have felt was blunted by the desperation to get the condom and flee the place before anyone came in. ‘What size would you recommend’, I said, eventually, and she looked into my eye for the first time and cried out, ‘please stop embarrassing me!’. We looked at one another in silence for a few moments, I burst out lauging, and she held cheeks and laughed too. Moral of story, don’t assume Nigerians are hypocrites because of their reticence in the face of sexual matters. The Indian lady was classy and Nigerians are classy too for not being gun-ho and anything goes kind of people where sex is concerned. In that Chemist, in front of the Indian woman, my behaviour was crass and OP boldly laying down condoms in front of all the Nigerian shoppers was Crass. He was not being modern, he was being an idiotic bush person. |
Nigeria needs to do something legislative about Social Media. You can see where this is going: Burna Boy with more commercial sense than commonsense will soon release album on the attempted sale of Nigeria and the idiots that make up 90 percent of every nations population, will start degrading Nigerians informed by something only idiots would believe. And since 90 percent of the world are borderline morons, this will stick. Sadly, Hitler makes sense more and more every day. The world needs a cull. |
Nigeria the nation should distrust all news on the state of Bokoharams/Isawp and pursue the fight against them with utmost vigour until their unequivocal end. Nigeria should understand that this perpetual drip-fed news on Bokoharam’s imminent end followed by Bokoharam upsurge are a psychological trick aimed at wearing down Nigerians resolve. Terrorists sponsors understand fully the debilitating effect that the raised-hope-dashed-hope rollercoaster of emotions has on the human will to fight on. |
Is Trumps USA, in the form of any US institution right now, qualified to honor anyone on accountability? |
SegFault:And i'm indirectly drawing ref to Whites and Asians. They love feeling smarter than the world and dont want blacks to do the same and you sir have proven it to the forum. |
joshjc:I think along these lines also; for instance, it may be that there is a technological and spiritual dimension to the capabilities of humans. Perhaps the genetic or evolutionary makeup of Asians and whites - for want of better way of putting it - are more predisposed to technology while Africans are more predisposed to the spirituality. This idea taken to its natural conclusion sees Caucasian and Asians fully technological and Africans Psychic beings able to control the elements with their minds. Whites and Asians =Iron Man; Africans = Doctor Strange, kind of thing. But here’s the thing, we cannot and most not for now allow situations informed by these possibilities to exist that inadvertently encourage soldiers to risk their lives relying on charms and amulets. Perhaps military and society can get around this by adopting scientific or mythological approach to these traditional belief systems. In short, leadership would let it be known that juju/charms/magic etc are being researched and that in the interim soldiers/citizens must refrain from their use becuse it wont work ... authority need to use psychology; for instance, let it be known that the real supernatural power is out there waiting for organized study but the local witch doctor and village dabbler are unlearned charlatans not to be relied upon |
sureteeboy:Especially when they are white and Asians and attribute to themselves abilities they think are beyond blacks. But Nigerians are smarter as will be increasingly obvious in time given opportunity. |
Valkrie:Or the girls death was simply due to accident as explained by the witnesses and the parading of the suspect by the military far from being an indictment of the military is an indictment of Nigerians on social media`s obsession with conspiracies, which forces the military to act in ways that the military don't believe just to satisfy the public and allay thire conspiracy fears. The law will take its path. |
TheFreeOne:Giant of Africa has nothing to do with whether the ordinary Nigerian man and woman are stupid enough to take to the streets to destroy their country in order to please you but more to do with reach, Influence, Economy, Population, Military and so on. For instance, Nigeria, on her own, is more capable of dictating conditions to Mali than any other black African nation save South Africa. Of course, with France very influential in Mali and given our current embattlement with terrorists and given the possibility of adding Mali’s terrorism problems to ours, we aren’t going to be dictating terms to Mali any time soon. Funnily enough, I received a notification on my Youtube dashboard, of some idiot boldly claiming that Nigeria is not Giant of Africa but that Ghana, Kenya and Rwanda are giants of Africa. Well, I’d like to see one of those nations sending military to Mali to enforce terms on conditions. Nigeria is capable, she has the militery and economic might to do so. |
youghs:I can't think of anything more emotional than war... |
