omonnakoda:
BUT IT DID lead to secession. My point is Northerners did not secede after the first coup so why did Ojuku after the second. The answer is simple; Ibo Hubris
What I meant was, the counter coup as planned by Murtala Mohammed was to end in the secession of Northern Nigeria. Murtala Mohammed like Ojukwu was a brash young soldier with very little real understanding of war and strategy (forget all those war colleges they went to) nor politics and realities. Unlike Ojukwu though, he listened to the voice(s) of his superiors and that saved Northern Nigeria.

If the first coup did not lead to secession why did the second?
Interestingly, that was the plan of Murtala Mohammed (who was said to have led the counter coup); but cooler heads prevailed especially after the Brits through their High Commission and Gowon waded into the matter.

Nice. I withdrew $2000 at a branch between Philadelphia and Maryland on my way to Maryland. After I left, I counted and realized I got $4000. I had to drive back to that branch from Maryland about a week later to return the money because it was way out of my regular beat.

Even if he had tact and diplomacy he would stil have lost.

The goat always returns from the market guilty no matter how many times you judge the case, the goat is always guilty
LOL. U wicked. He didn't carry the Yoruba leadership along in the push towards Lagos. That turned the hitherto neutral Yorubas against Biafra (the end).

Ojukwu era was much more strategic than this new era of pro biafrans. He was successful in the sense the strugle got real, not online like we have today grin
Ojukwu lost the war because he lacked tact and diplomacy; the very attributes you claim he had. What else can I say?

Don't worry, they will be well airconditioned rooms. Some will even put the money in freezers; giving a new meaning to cool cash.

Explorers:
3. Seperate truck lanes will reduce accidents, trucks/containers falling on cars.
Those trucks in that photo are on the last lane NOT because they have a separate lane, but because they are following traffic rules by driving on the slow lane (unlike in Nigeria where madmen without proper training in driving trucks, and high on weed and all kinds of banned substances insist on driving dilapidated trucks on the fast lane). You have not addressed the real issue; which I just mentioned in bracket.

Because he is in Nigeria and also a Nigerian citizen.

Monkeys have jumped in here and started their macabre dance.

Look, the number of UNREPORTED r@pe cases is more important, but m0r0ns will be m0r0ns. I have met many Igbo women who were r@ped in the East but never reported the matter. If anything, the report means Ogun indigines recognize the severity of r@pe as a crime, and would rather face the associated stigma; unlike some who would simply sweep it under the rug since it is not a serious crime as far as they are concerned.

Maybe Linda Ikeji does not want to get married. Different strokes for different folks.
...and whp cares? The point is, no need for sourgrapes. Don't try and make it seem like it's a choice between marriage/happiness/wealth. By the way, was this her blog not established on her "heartbreak" story (don't all broke girls want to marry "rich" Americans lol)? So what changed?

I rather choose for my sister or my future daughters be as successful as Linda Ikeji, Rita Dominic and Genevive Nnaji and still be single than get married to one miserable man in the name of marriage. As for the posters above and below isn't she better than millions of married women in miserable marriages. As for her husband who cares, abeg you guys should cut her some slack, she is a role model not only to the girls but to the real hustling guys out there who wants to make it legitimately
Does misery surround you? Or why else do you assume ALL marriages are about misery? In case you haven't noticed, there are women doing all this Linda is doing, and also happily married. You don't have to eat sour grapes by saying you value money/wealth over marriage; there are people who have that wealth far more than you can imagine; and also happily married. cool
