I watched a little about chi-square...I didn't know when I started laughing o.He tried but there's need to break everything down...Talking about "relationship" and "excel" etc makes it look like a mere interpretation and not teaching.

Nice job
Yes it is not about changing the content completely but explaining the concepts in the local language

The language used to teach maths is not the problem, but understanding, remembering, and knowing how to implementing its endless laws. If you understand the laws of maths (of course, every topic has its rules), you won't find the subject difficult. Using local languages won't simply it.
Explaining using local languages with take lesser time to understand, remember and knowing how to implement its endless law, baba

It can't work because of the diversity in terms of language.

You say let everyone do it in his language........ how many classes will you have considering the populationhuhhuh??

Can all exams happen without the use of a language barrier breaking language like Englishhuh?

Can the knowledge of the subject even be applied in the absence of a language barrier breaking language like Englishhuh??

Every state in Nigeria requires a language barrier breaking language like English!
English could still be maintained as the official language while STEM topics are explained in the local languages without changing the "term". Do you see what I mean sir? To get the concept well explained is the key

Permit me to disagree with you a little. Why we are not excelling technologically isnt a problem of being taught in English rather the system itself. We run examination system where we are only judged by what we can remember/cram. School system to be changed to that which makes learners think, reflect and profer solutions to societal problems. I used to have a friend/class mate back then in FUTA, he was rock bottom of the class in terms of grades but we all know this guy is a genius, eventually the system frustrated him he went to India to study and came back doing wonderful things, too loaded to be employed by any company, he owns a company that install ricemill and so many other heavy industrial solutions, wrote several computer programs for FG and Ondo state.
Untill we change this, nothing is gonna change.
Even the kids you are suggesting should be taught in their mother tongues now find it easier to speak English more than their native language and that will bring more confusion. Lets clamour for a change of system
I partially agree with you sir. If we can explain the concept in our mother's tongue, then we are going to excel "excellently". Many students from rural areas are disadvantaged when it comes to understanding English. Many fails not because they do not understand the concept but because they do not know how to express themselves. Take, for example, sir, assuming you ask a kid (especially) those from the rural areas "what the uses of cutlass are"?, many of them might find it difficult to answer the question. But ask them in their mother's tongue, you will get a non-exhaustive list.

So, what happens when a Yoruba man who learnt Mathematics in Yoruba gets a job in Anambra?
Then aside that, what happens when it comes to writing unified examinations like JAMB?
What happens when a Yoruba boy leaves his home to write post utme in a federal university in the North?
You leave the term in English and just use the mother's tongue to explain. Shikena!

Well I think each region can choose their major languages e.g Northern can choose Hausa, South West Yoruba and South East, Igbo. Those concepts can just be explained in these languages without changing the English terms. You see what I mean Sir?

EducationSunday Kayode: Maths Should Be Taught In Nigerian Languages by Lukgaf(op): 5:22am On Jan 01, 2022
Without doubts, you'd agree with me that many students preparing for STEM subjects at O'level and undergrad really found it challenging. One of the reasons is the way mathematics some of this topics are being taught. Another challenge is the use of complex terms to explain the concept. I still recall my experiences at High School smiley

I think I agree with this FUTA Professor, I think all science subjects we ran away from should be taught and explained in our mother's tongue.

What do you think guys?

A Professor of Mathematics, Sunday Kayode, has made a case for the use of Nigerian languages in the teaching of mathematics as one of the strategies for demystifying the subject and enhancing its study among students at all levels of the country’s education system.

Professor Kayode gave the advice while delivering the 141st Inaugural Lecture of the Federal University of Technology Akure, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

He said efforts must be made by handlers of mathematics from primary to tertiary levels of education to remove the induced phobia towards mathematics by making the subject friendly to learners.

He added that teachers must bring the contents of the subject to the level of the learners by majorly using local materials, relating examples to the day-to-day life experiences of teachers and learners.

Professor Kayode said the teaching of mathematics in local languages and dialects should be introduced in the curriculum for the teaching of the subject to pupils at the primary level.

Adipolo
This he said should be supported by the production of textbooks in local languages at the developmental stage of the learners.

He said teaching the subject in the local languages and exemplifying its concepts with local materials and everyday examples that learners can relate with would make early learners easily internalize the subject and have little or no phobia for it.

Kayode said to discourage the importation of foreign teaching and laboratory materials, the government should also provide opportunities for local manufacturing of teaching materials and establishment of mathematics laboratories in schools.

He urged governments at the federal, state and local levels, as well as private individuals to make concerted and focused efforts at improving the funding of mathematical projects and research at all levels of mathematics education in Nigeria.

He urged governments at the federal, state and local levels, as well as private individuals to make concerted and focused efforts at improving the funding of mathematical projects and research at all levels of mathematics education in Nigeria.

Professor Kayode said the popularization of mathematical sciences in Nigeria should be a national project, which he said is an attempt to reach out to wider audiences from all strata of society to provide a mathematical experience rather than a pedantic transfer of knowledge.

According to him, in doing this, a variety of media and strategies need to be adopted, such as films, television programmes, mathematics festivals, creation of a network of discussion groups clubs and societies.

Kayode, a one-time deputy vice-chancellor, Clifford University, Owerrinta, Abia State, said operators of educational institutions in the country should employ only qualified and competent mathematics teachers to teach the subject at all levels of education.

He also made a strong case for the regular training, retraining and remedial programmes for mathematics teachers to enhance their competence and relevance in modern pedagogy and handling of state-of-the-art teaching facilities

However, he noted that to be able to attract and retain qualified, competent and experienced mathematics teachers, there is the need to provide robust and attractive remuneration packages in form of allowances and incentives.

In his capacity as the chairman of the event, the vice-chancellor, Professor Joseph Fuwape, said the lecture was cerebral and lauded its adept delivery.

He described Kayode as an erudite scholar who had demonstrated academic leadership in the university community and had contributed immensely to the development of the body of knowledge in the area of his specialization.

IslamCan Muslim Perform A Special Prayer/tahaajud On December 31st? by Lukgaf(op): 8:14am On Dec 31, 2021
Abu Abdillah, @Rashduct4luv created a thread on this topic around 2018 and it is still relevant today:

Muslims just don't celebrate. We have a legal way of life in Islam.
The basic principle for a Muslim is to follow (the Sunnah) and not introduce innovations. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to mankind): ‘If you (really) love Allaah, then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur’aan and the Sunnah), Allaah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’

32. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): ‘Obey Allaah and the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم).” But if they turn away, then Allaah does not like the disbelievers’”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:21, 32].

Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

This verse states that everyone who claims to love Allah but is not following the path of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is lying in his claim unless he follows the path or religion of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in all his words and deeds, as it is proven in al-Saheeh that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever introduces an action that is not part of this matter of ours will have it rejected.”

Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 2/32

Celebration and supplication is part of worship in Islam. Muslims should find out the days and times when supplications are answered according to the ways of the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalam) instead of basing our hope on the crossover of a day to another day which has no proven specialty attached. Beware of charlatan clerics putting up posters for special new year transition Tahajjud prayers! Ask them where the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalam) whom we follow with regards to acts of worship did such prayers!

Some Muslims do not even know the Islamic calendar not to talk of the date! It shouldn't be only the 9th month of Islam (called Ramadan) that we have to focus on.

We urge all Muslims to avoid innovations and imitations!
Say no to new year prayer/Tahajjud, celebration, greetings and food. We can take life decisions or change our life pattern anytime hence hinging such on the turn of a year has no specialty attached!

We urge all Muslims to train themselves and their families more on Aqeedah and may Allah Grant us understanding!
IslamIf A Woman Dies While Pregnant, How Will She Be Buried? by Lukgaf(op): 7:55am On Dec 31, 2021
If the woman dies while her baby is also dead, they will be buried together without attempting to separate them. This is because any attempt to separate them after it is certain that both of them are dead is reproachful, and this is forbidden. A believer must not be reproached whether he/she is alive or dead; it is forbidden. For this reason, they will be buried together.

However, after she is dead, if the baby shows a sign of being alive, and the midwife says if the baby is removed from her and kept in an incubator he/she will survive if Allaah wills, especially if the baby is up to about eight months; if this is declared, then we will ask them to operate her so as to rescue the child. This is the Sharee’ah of Allaah.

As for the belief which states that if a woman dies while pregnant she must not be buried with the baby so that it doesn’t result to ceaseless deaths in her family according to the belief of the disbelievers, we have no concern about that belief. Islaam says they should be buried together because any attempt to separate them is reproachful and Islaam prohibits reproaching a person who is dead.

If the pregnant woman is from the people of the book and her husband is a Muslim since it is permissible to marry them, and the child inside her is a Muslim since her husband is a Muslim (in addition to the fact that every child is born in a state of fitrah), both the mother and the child are dead, how are they to be buried? Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rohimohuLlaahu ta’ala) said that the woman will be buried at a space in between the graveyard of the Muslims and that of the people of the book. Since the mother is a Christian while the child is a Muslim, she will be buried in such a way that she backs the Qiblah, this is because if she backs the Qiblah then automatically the baby will be facing the Qiblah. So that is how they will be buried.

IslamWhy Muslims do not celebrate non-muslim festivals? by Lukgaf(op):
No doubt, we have friends, teachers and colleagues among non-Muslims. We engage and collaborate when it comes to worldly affairs. We congratulate them on their success. We have a lot of non-Muslim teachers we respect a lot - we benefitted a lot from them in terms of knowledge and experience. We do not sever our relationship with them.

In essence, Islam enjoys being good to all the creatures of Allah, whether a Muslim or non-Muslims (including the animals).

But when it comes to the issue of religion and beliefs, Muslims are encouraged not to compromise. In Islam (as it is available in other religions/beliefs), there are red lines we shouldn't cross (which are things we are prohibited from doing) and one of them is celebrating any festival (not only non-Muslim festival) not recognized in Islam. This is not limited to non-Muslim festivals but other innovated festivals in Islam, such as Mawlud Nabiyy, Islamic Calendar, etc (you see I have made some threads condemning these too).

Based on the above premise, the below thread gives an account of what Islam says about non-Muslims festivals and why Muslims should not partake in them.

Praise be to Allah.

Greeting the non-Muslims on Christmas and other religious holidays of theirs is haraam, by consensus, as Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy on him, said in Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah: "Congratulating the kuffaar on the rituals that belong only to them is haraam by consensus, as is congratulating them on their festivals and fasts by saying 'A happy festival to you' or 'May you enjoy your festival,' and so on. If the one who says this has been saved from kufr, it is still forbidden. It is like congratulating someone for prostrating to the cross, or even worse than that. It is as great a sin as congratulating someone for drinking wine, or murdering someone, or having illicit sexual relations, and so on. Many of those who have no respect for their religion fall into this error; they do not realize the offensiveness of their actions. Whoever congratulates a person for his disobedience or bid'ah or kufr exposes himself to the wrath and anger of Allaah."

Congratulating the kuffaar on their religious festivals is haraam to the extent described by Ibn al-Qayyim because it implies that one accepts or approves of their rituals of kufr, even if one would not accept those things for oneself. But the Muslim should not aceept the rituals of kufr or congratulate anyone else for them, because Allaah does not accept any of that at all, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):
"If you disbelieve, then verily, Allaah is not in need of you, He likes not disbelief for His slaves. And if you are grateful (by being believers), He is pleased therewith for you. . ."
[al-Zumar 39:7]

". . . This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islaam as your religion . . ."
[al-Maa'idah 5:3]

So congratulating them is forbidden, whether they are one's colleagues at work or otherwise.

If they greet us on the occasion of their festivals, we should not respond, because these are not our festivals, and because they are not festivals which are acceptable to Allaah. These festivals are innovations in their religions, and even those which may have been prescribed formerly have been abrogated by the religion of Islaam, with which Allaah sent Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to the whole of mankind. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"Whoever seeks a religion other than Islaam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers." [Aal 'Imraan 3:85]

It is haraam for a Muslim to accept invitations on such occasions, because this is worse than congratulating them as it implies taking part in their celebrations.

Similarly, Muslims are forbidden to imitate the kuffaar by having parties on such occasions, or exchanging gifts, or giving out sweets or food, or taking time off work, etc., because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyah said in his book Iqtidaa' al-siraat al-mustaqeem mukhaalifat ashaab al-jaheem: "Imitating them in some of their festivals implies that one is pleased with their false beliefs and practices, and gives them the hope that they may have the opportunity to humiliate and mislead the weak."

Whoever does anything of this sort is a sinner, whether he does it out of politeness or to be friendly, or because he is too shy to refuse, or for whatever other reason, because this is hypocrisy in Islaam, and because it makes the kuffaar feel proud of their religion.

Allaah is the One Whom we ask to make the Muslims feel proud of their religion, to help them adhere steadfastly to it, and to make them victorious over their enemies, for He is the Strong and Omnipotent.

Majmoo’ah Fataawa wa Rasaa’il al-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, 3/369)
If you are a non-Muslim reading this and you have friends who do not send you wishes during the festival, I hope you will understand this and not think your friends do not care about you. Also, I hope you won't tag those Muslims as extremists and bigot because of this.

IslamReturn Of Prophet Isa (jesus) Peace Be Upon Him by Lukgaf(op): 8:53am On Dec 24, 2021
Muslims believe in the Prophethood of Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam. He is neither God nor son of God as claimed by some. It is also part of our creed to believe in his return. This thread details history about the Prophet of Allah, Jesus, his return, and what would happen when he comes.

Brief History of Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him

Due to the fact that the Jews had become deaf and blind to the words of God and deviated from the teachings of Moses and the right path, Allah honoured Jesus Peace be upon him with Prophethood and sent him as a messenger to the children of Israel. Bearing all hardships Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him spent all day and night conveying the message of Allah. Unfortunately, in spite of his tremendous effort the children of Israel did not respond and accept the message. Seeing that the poor and weak were becoming inclined towards him and fearing they would lose their leadership the Jews secretly tried to kill him. However Allah saved Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him from their wicked scheme and gave him greater dignity by raising him alive to the heavens.

Allah says in the Quran, “They did not kill him and nor did they crucify him but the resemblance of him (Jesus Peace be upon him) was put over another man and those who differ there in, are in doubt. They have no certain knowledge. They are following nothing but conjecture for surely they did not kill him but Allah raised him up to him.” (Surah Nisa)

Allah says in the Quran “When Allah says, Jesus; I will take thee to me and I will purify thee of the unbelievers” (Surah A’li-Imran)

These verses clearly prove that the Jews did not kill Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him and that he was raised alive to the heavens. It is due to verses like those mentioned above and many authentic Ahadith we Muslims believe that Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him is alive in heaven at this moment in time. We further believe due to the following verses and authentic Ahadith that Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him will return before Qiyamah and his return is a major sign of Qiyamah.
Allah says in the Quran, “And he (son of Mary) shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the hour.” (Surah Zukhruf)
Ibne Abbas has said that the meaning of this verse is that Prophet Jesus’s Peace be upon him descent before Qiyamah is a sign of Qiyamah. (Ibne Abbas/ Musnad)

Allah says, “There is not a single section of the people of the book that will certainly believe in Jesus before his death and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.” (Surah Nisa) This verse clearly indicates that before the demise of Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him everyone from the people of the book will believe in him. The Jews will disappear as Jews after his demise but at the present the Jews are very much there. The conclusion is clear that the Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him has not died; if so all the Jews would have become believers, which they have not. He will return before Qiyamah and it is then that all the people of the book will believe in him.

Jabir (R.A) reported that the Messenger of Allah said, “A party of my followers will not cease to fight for victory until the Day of Resurrection. He said, then Jesus, son of Mary, will come down. Their Imaam will say, “Come and lead our prayer” He will reply, “Some of you are rulers over others on account of divine honour upon these people.” (Muslim)

Abu Huraira (R.A) reported that the Messenger of Allah Peace and blessings be upon him said, “By the one whose hands my life is in, surely the son of Maryam(Peace upon her) will descend amongst you as a just ruler. He will destroy the cross, kill the swine and abolish the tax.” (Bukhari)

Hadrat Hudaifah-b-Osaid reported: The Holy Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him suddenly came to us while we were talking. He asked, “What are you talking about?” They replied “We were talking about the last hour.” Prophet (s) said, “It will never come until you see ten signs before it,” He then mentioned the Smoke, the Dajjal, the Beast, the Rising of the Sun in its place of setting, the Descent of Jesus son of Mary and Yajuj and Ma’juj. (Muslim)

Prophet Jesus’s Peace be upon him Tasks

Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him will have three main tasks, when he descends on the Earth for the second time:
1) The first and most important will be that he will destroy the Dajjal.
2) Protect the Muslims from the barbarous tribes of Yajuj and Majuj by taking them to Mount Tur and then Praying for their (Yajuj and Majuj’s) destruction.
3) Reign as a Khalifah according to the Quran and Sunnah and elevate Islam.

Prophet Jesus’s Peace be upon him descent and the killing of Dajjal

The Dajjal having failed to enter the holy city of Madinah will proceed to Syria gathering his forces on the way.Imaam Mahdi will have arranged the Muslim army and will be on the verge of leading the Muslims in the morning prayer (Abu Umamah / Ibne-Majah) when Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him will descend to the white Minaret (Nawwas-b-Samaan/Muslim) in the east of Damascus, wearing two garments died with saffron, placing his hands on the wings of two angels.

All those that are present will recognise him, as he will look exactly like the description of the Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him. Resembling the Sahabi Urwa bin Masood (Abu- Huraira/ Muslim) the colour of his skin will be reddish white (Ibne Abbas/ Bukhari), he will be well built and his hair will be soft and reach his ears. When he lowers his head, beads of perspiration will fall from it and when he raises his head, beads like pearls will scatter from it. (Nawwas-b-Samaan/Muslim).

Every Kaafir who smells his sweet breath will die and his breath will reach as far as he can see. On seeing prophet Jesus Peace be upon him. Imaam Mahdi will take a couple of steps backwards so Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him can lead the prayer however Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him will place his hands on the Imaam’s shoulder and will say, ”Go forward and lead the prayer as the Iqamah was made for you” thus Imaam Mahdi will lead the prayer. (Abu Umamah/ Ibne-Majah).

After the prayer Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him will say, ”Open the gate”. The gate will be opened and the Dajjal will be waiting behind it accompanied by an army of 70,000 Jews, each armed with a sword and shield. The Dajjal on seeing Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him among the Muslims will begin to dissolve like salt in water and will begin to flee. Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him will say to him, ”You will remain alive until I strike you with my spear, ”He will catch up with him at the Eastern gate of Ludd (Ludd is a mountain in Syria. Some say that it is a village in Jerusalem, and some say that it is a village in Palestine) and then Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him will kill him with a small spear.
The Muslims will thereafter defeat and wipe out Dajjal’s army. The Jews will not be able to hide behind anything on that day. Every time they try to hide behind a stone, a wall, a tree (except a boxthorn tree), or animal. Allah will make these things speak and they will say, ”O servant of Allah there is a Jew hiding behind me, come kill him.”

The Wisdom in the Descension of Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him

The Ulama of the Ahlus – Sunnah have given many different reasons in the returning of Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him to this world or the second time. A few are listed below:

1) The Jews believe that they had killed Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him, Allah will send him before the end of time to prove that they had not killed him and that he is alive. It is he who will kill the Jews and their leader Dajjal. (Fathul – Bari)
2) Some Ulama have said that Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him found many virtues of the followers of Prophet Muhammad Peace and blessings be upon him in the bible and thus he prayed to Allah to make him amongst the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad Peace and blessings be upon him. Allah answered his prayer and he will return for the second time as one of the followers of Prophet Muhammad Peace and blessings be upon him. (Ibne-Khathir)
3) It is the Law of Allah that anything that is created from the Earth has to be buried in the Earth and not the Heavens. Thus he will return to the Earth for the second time, kill the Dajjal, live for a period of time and then he will die a natural death and will be buried with the Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him. (Ashratus-Sa’ah).

Prophet Jesus (as) and the Ya’juj Ma’juj (Gog Magog)

A short period after Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him has killed the Dajjal, the two mighty tribes of Yajuj and Ma’juj will appear, causing murder, pillage and devastation wherever they go. The emergence of Ya’juj and Ma’juj is also another major sign of Qiyamah. Through the invocation of Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him they will be destroyed. (Nawwas-b-Samaan-Muslim).

Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him as a Ruler

The Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him said, “By him whose hands my life is in, surely the son of Maryam will come down amongst you as a just ruler. He will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the tax. Wealth will be in such abundance that none will care about it and a single prostration in a Prayer will be better than the world and all that is in it.” (Abu Huraira/Bukhari, Muslim)
The above hadith clearly indicates that when Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him returns to the world for the second time he will not reign as a Prophet no, will he bring a new Shariah or Deen, as Islam is the last religion, the Quran is the last book to be revealed and our Prophet Muhammad Peace and blessings be upon him is the last Prophet. There is no Prophet to come after him and the Quran has made this fact very clear.

Allah says in the Qur’an, “Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) is not the father of any of you but is the Messenger of Allah and the last of the Prophets (Surah-Al-Ahzaab)

When Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him returns for the second time he will reign as a Khalifah and not a Prophet, follow the Qur’an and Sunnah and rule according to it. He will break the cross the Christians worship (indicating that he will bring Christianity to an end), elevate and spread Islam through out the world.
He will also kill the pig which the Christians consider Halaal to eat (and use) and abolish the Jizya (tax). In Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him reign they will not pay this tax because he will not accept anything but Islam for the non believers and they will all believe in him. The Qur’an says, “There is not a single section of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) but will believe in him and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.” (Surah-An-Nisa)

Secondly there will be an abundance in wealth, so much so that it will flow like water and there will not remain anybody who could be given this money, thus this tax will be abolished.

Blessings at the time of Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him

All types of spiritual and worldly blessings will descend on Earth in his time. Wealth will flow like water, everyone will be independent and have surplus wealth and property to the extent that nobody will be in the need of Zakat and Sadaqa thus receiving of Zakat and Sadaqa will be discarded.
All hearts will be free from misery, envy, malice, and jealousy. Each harmful animal will be made harmless. Camels will graze with the lions and the cheetahs with cattle. A little girl will chase a lion and make it run away from her like children chasing a puppy and this lion will not harm her.
Venom will be taken out from all venomous animals, a little boy will put his hand in a snake’s mouth, but it will not harm him. The Jackal will live with the sheep and protect them as if it were a sheep dog. Peace, harmony and tranquillity will prevail in the world.

People will be in complete agreement, wars will cease, the earth will be filled with peace like a silver basin and it will sprout with vegetation like at the time of Prophet Adam Peace be upon him. The fertility of the land will increase to the extent that if a seed is planted in a rock, it will sprout. 700 mudd of wheat will sprout without ploughing the land. The earth will produce so much fruit that a large group of people will sit to eat a bunch of grapes or a pomegranate and they will be satisfied and use it’s peel as an umbrella. There will also be blessing in milk. The milk of a single she camel will be sufficient to satisfy the hunger of a large group of people. A cow will produce what is sufficient for a tribe of people, and a sheep will produce milk, which is sufficient for a family of people. Horses will be cheap as they will be never ridden in war and bulls will be expensive, as they will be needed to plough the land.
Life will be very pleasant and enjoyable after his descension and the Muslims will live in comfort in his reign as a Khalifh. (Nawwas-b-Sarnaan-Muslim/Abu Umamah-Ibne Majah)

Marriage

Many Ahadith specify that after his descension he will get married and have children and remain on the earth for a period of 19 years after his marriage. (Al-Fitan Nuaim bin Hammad).

Death

Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him after his return to the Earth for a second time will live for a period of time (some scholars have mentioned 40 years in the light of a hadith which can be found in Abu Daud) and thereafter will die a natural death. The Muslims will perform his Janaza (funeral prayers) and according to the hadith narrated by Abdullah bin Amr in Mishkat he will be buried next to the Holy Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him.

IslamSigns Of Black Magic And Satanic Possession And How To Protect Yourself by Lukgaf(op): 8:32am On Dec 24, 2021
Without doubts, many people are possessed with black magic and this has turned some disbelievers. Both the Quran and hadith make reference to witchcraft and the evil eye as well as to supernatural beings known in Arabic as jinn. What are the signs of black magic and satanic possession and how to protect yourself? This thread explains

Praise be to Allah.

Signs of jinn or Satanic possession

People who have had experience with such situations have related that the following are among the signs of a person who is possessed by jinn (or Satan):

Strong repulsion when hearing the Quran or Athan (call for prayers).
Episodes of losing consciousness and/or epileptic attacks, especially when Quran is recited for the possessed person.
Frequent nightmares during sleep.
Tendency to avoid people accompanied by out-of-the-norm behavior.
The jinni who possess him might speak when the Quran is recited for the possessed person.
Madness, as stated in the Quran (interpretation of the meaning): "Those who devour usury will not stand except as stands one whom Satan by his touch hath driven to [epileptic] madness" (2:275)

[b]Signs of black magic
[/b]As for a person struck by magic he might experience the following:

Dislike of ones’ spouse, as indicated in the Quran by the following verse (interpretation of the meaning): "And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife..." (Al-Baqarah, 2:102)
Different attitude in the house from that which is outside the house. For example, a person will feel that he is missing his family when is outside the house but when he goes home, love changes quickly to extreme hatred.

Inability to have sexual intercourse with ones spouse.
Frequent miscarriage for pregnant women.
Sudden change in behavior without obvious reason.
Complete loss of appetite for food.
Thinking or imagining one has done something when in reality one has not.
Sudden obedience and/or love for a particular person.
It should be noted that if a person experiences some of the above symptoms this does not necessarily mean that he is either possessed by a jinni or struck by black magic. It might be due to physiological or psychological reasons.

How to protect yourself from black magic and Satanic possession

As for curing this condition the following steps are recommended:

Putting ones trust in Allah with a sincere belief that He is the only cure for everything.

Reading Quran and known supplications expressing seeking refuge, the most important and effective of which is sura 113 and 114, Al-Falaq and Al-Nas, which were used to cure the Prophet himself. Surah 112, Al-Ikhlas, is recommended along with them, as well as the opening chapter of the Quran, Al-Fatihah. To cure black magic, some have successfully used seven lote-tree leaves. The leaves should be crushed, then mixed with water (enough for taking a bath). The following verses from the Quran are then recited: verse Al-Kursi (2:255), surah Al-Kafirun (109), surah 112, 113, 114; the verses which mention magic, which are: in surah Al-Baqarah (2:102), Al-A’raf (7:117-119), Yunus (10:79-82), and Taha (20:65-69). The possessed person drinks some of the water, and the rest is used to give him a bath.

Removing the elements of magic as was done by the Prophet when he was struck by black magic by a Jewish man called Lubaid ibn Al-’Asim.

Eating seven Aliya Al-Barniy dates (among the dates of Al-Madinah) first thing in the morning; if not possible, any dates will suffice, by the will of Allah.

Cupping --removing excess blood.

Offering supplications.

And we ask Allah to cure your brother and ease your hardship and his, as He is the One who cures and there is no one else who can cure.

And Allah knows best.

IslamWhat Is The Ruling Concerning A Husband Calling His Wife "Ummuh" ? by Lukgaf(op): 8:21am On Dec 10, 2021
Dr. Faadhil: I do not know why the questioner asked this question, but perhaps he thinks that a man addressing his wife as "Ummu" means that he has called her his mum; and whoever addresses his wife as his mum has made a big mistake because it resembles divorce. And since it is not permitted for a husband to address his wife as "my mum", this person may think that addressing one's wife as "Ummu" is the same as addressing her as "my mum".

On a closer look, it doesn't mean the husband refers to his wife as his mum, but rather - as with the majority of the people that address their wives as "Ummu" - he only shortens the name; for example, if she is "Ummu Abdillah" and he doesn't wish to call that in full, he says "Ummu" while intending it as "Ummu Abdillah".

A husband addressing his wife as "my mum" is one of the assumed means of divorce, but it is not divorce. However, as Muslims, we are to stay away from doubtful issues as much as possible.

That said, it is not dignifying enough for husbands to address their wives with names that don't depict love; some of such names are Ummu, Abu and so on. The prophet (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) didn't address any of his wives as "Ummu" although he used to say Ummu so and so.

We can address our wives by their names, like calling the person bearing Aaishah as "Aaish".

So, there is no problem in addressing one's wife as "Ummu", but it is dignifying enough as it may not foster love. Wives can also address their husbands by their names ones in a while, but it shouldn't be in public; just between them. When in public, they can address their husbands with the names that people address them with or their nicknames or simple "my husband".

We don't appreciate this in Yoruba land, which is not supposed to be like that. Some husbands address their wives as "the mother of my children" which is wrong because the term is used for slave.

As for the question, two things should be noted. The first is that a husband addressing his wife "Ummu" doesn't mean his wife has become haram for him. The second is that couples should address each other with names that will foster and strengthen love between them.
May Allah guide us to the right path.

Beautiful...how about warning to those who take life to defend Allah! That someone could be killed simply because he used a paper with the image drawing or photograph of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)huh What could be more bully or disastrous than that?
Are you asking about ruling on blasphemy on our noble Prophet or being an apostate? There are many threads created on that already. Please refer to them.
