Imagine Germany, China, Japan and South Korea forming a cartel to inflate prices of cars, machinery and electronics? There should be competition. Some people cannot afford 50k for their webpage considering their profit margin. OP: carve out a niche for yourself-try to attract high-end consumers assuming you are good enough. In the same market where some clothes have no name, there you also find YSL, Armani, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Burberry etc. |
Smart jeezy: I know some ifa like:.EJI OGBE...OKANRAN MEJI... Greatness/success but beware-enemies, I think IKA MEJI has similar meaning OYEKU MEJI... bad news-linked with death? I used to hear granny discuss these after seeing a deviner...lol...........forgotten all of them now. |
If we Africans are going to regain our respect in the comity of nations we should make the world know the advanced culture, science and philosophy that our ancestors developed way before Abrahamic religions and colonialism came. Enough of being copy-cats without original contributions. Ifa is certainly most advanced and can be learnt as an art and science without much opaque mysticism. See how the Koreans, Indians, Japanes, Viet-kongs have all elevated their culture/religion, cuisine etc that many Westerners now proudly claim to be Buddhists,Hare Krishna, Shinto and happily declare Chinese as their favourite food. What stop us exporting idika ikon, amala, starch and egbagba, poundo iyan and above all garrium pulverate and epa! |
Happy New year! Where's this car located? Can it travel well out of state? Can you deliver/arrange to deliver the car to another state? Original papers including customs paper available? Which year was it build? Good to include these details so that any caller will only call for serious negotiation, not just getting more information. |
I really duff my hat for committed Naija medics in Naija. They have so little to work with and yet so much is expected. What some of them do is superhuman, especially some old fashioned ones trained by foreign doctors. I still ocassionally bump into some old European doctors (now in their late 70s, 80s) who worked at ABUTH, UCH etc and they rate our doctors very highly. Politicians have to wake up and fund Federal Heath Service with at least 7 to 10% of GDP and education at similar rate. We are suffering from poor services: even the rich can die or worsen healthwise before Julius Berger can scramble air ambulance from Frankfurt. I have seen it with my nak*d eyes. Impose a ban on political office holders and family members going abroad for health care. Drastically reduce the bloated and jobless political class. |
kandiikane: It may have been an ectopic pregnancy. Her fallopian tube probably ruptured hence the need to remove the foetus. It's can be very fatal. From the way she looks, it was probably pre-eclampsia/eclampsia. Especially if first pregnancy. Perhaps she was being monitored as an in-patient for pre-eclampsia and things got worse. We don't know if she told doctors she wanted to keep the baby by all means. If she did, maybe they were trying to make baby viable enough (I learnt it's 28 weeks in Naija)before delivery. Delivery of placenta (not just baby)is the only cure for eclampsia BUT even after delivery, a woman is still at risk for some time. MYTH: people do not die abroad of pregnancy-related problems TRUTH: People do die but in much much fewer numbers. A woman died a few months ago of a cornual ectopic in a hospital in one of the most popular foreign countries with Naija people. Colleagues were lamenting that it is inexcusable in the 21st century. One doc who was supposed to go and work at the said hospital next changed his mind. Oh, a pregnant Naija tourist had a lucky escape as she literally collapsed just outside our offices. Luckily one of the best places to be if you're eclamptic! All the pre-eclampsia symptoms were already there in Naija but nobody thought of it! That's a middle class lady able to afford treatment in Naija, what of Mama Nkechi and Iya Lukman, selling Epa ati Bole. |
@ OP: Makes no sense... see double standard. Women flaunt their flesh:bossom, bakassi; wear make-up, miniskirt, spaghetti, G-string (visible when the sit/bend down), Brazillian hair, fake nails because it makes them attractive to men. So when women get gang-molested, do you then blame the women for it? |

When girls are knacking akpako and doing abortions up and down, they don't remembber the Bible. Yes it is men they sleep with but it's free will NOT rape. If you cannot stay chaste, use the pill or better still insist on raincoat. For me it's simple: (1) Let no one fool you about love story and companionship thingy, we Africans want biological children. Subfertility causes a lot of stress and divorce. (2) No more trust. Lots of girls do multiple abortions. The men themselves know it (afterall they have impregnated some before). High risk of subfertility. (3) Call it hypocrisy: Fact is a lady opening her legs for money, blackberry should know of the consequencies (disease, pregnancy/abortion). I was a victim of this. A girl concealed her past medical stuff causing fertility problems and nearly got me into marrying her and taking her abroad. She couldn't possibly have loved me truly to hide such fact so I had to reassess this thing called "love". Luckily someone who knew blew the whistle. So after that experience if a man has any doubts, then she should be pregnant first. If not both can go their seperate ways. |
AjanleKoko: Good news.. Any government that is even 2% responsible should do so. NOTHING to brag about. But with a history of irresponsible governments for decades, even cassava bread is an achievement. ![]() |
timbros: Caption Caption! And your giving us story here.... Maybe life is too complex that you need a narrative to convey any message properly. I GUESS that's why 45 people LIKE it so far.....Azonto......Azonto... ![]() |
Good. Others should follow quickly. The laptop brigade will soon be bragging about this as a GEJ achievement. But maybe Canada also wants a slice of Naija medical tourists ![]() |

karlakassy: @ O.T.I.S,God bless u for d info and @safelove,keep on loving ur ist son, children comes into happy homes,Infertility problems is nt a childs play, couples should endervour to meet a gynaecologist together, african mentality has done alot to most of our men dat they refuse going for check up,men r 60% responsible for infertility in marriages.. Nne/Sista mi, Do you have statistical data to back up your assertion that subfertility (a more appropriate word) is 60% due to male factor? Is it worldwide, in Africa or just in Naija? I am really interested in it for scientific reasons. What we believe from available data now is that roughly male/female factor is 30%/30% and the rest idiopathic (unexplained). While patience is good, time is not really on the woman's side biologically : egg quality declines with age (from 35 years old) and I have seen some cases of ladies reaching menopause under 35 years old. Of course sperm quality declines too but if the man is ok, he can still sire kids at 80! A woman cannot. Sarah/Abraham story is interesting but that happened in the bible and some 4000 years ago. A man may not worry now but what of 2, 3 years time? I think ladies in this situation should get their men to check themselves sooner than later. Good luck. |
Everybody likes one form of rock music or the other: glam rock, blues rock, jazz rock, psychadelic, roots rock, alternative rock you name it. My Favourites: Hendrix Elvis Aerosmith Springsteen Bob Dylan Queen Eric Clapton R H Chillie Peppers Led Zepellin R.E.M U2 ...even Linkin Run DMC (known for Hip hop) even have a "rockey" element in their songs. Many people see only hard rock like black sabath as rock. |

friendl: I have married since 2008 feb,up till now no kids,I know I will thank GOD,not doctorMy good friend, nothing wrong with seeking medical assistance o. Afterall na GOD give doctor his skills to assist others. Either way it's all thanks to GOD. A friend (very deeply religious) waited for around 13 or 14 years. His lovely wife even decided to go after years. He was heartbroken and later remarried. He's now a father via assisted reproduction. I don't know if all his church members would know it's via IVF. When some people come to church to give testimony, you may not know the whole story. |
