Sunisonflex39: I met this girl two years ago, to cut long story short, she told me that she is in a relationship. I respected the fact that she has a guy and I stopped making advance as a gentleman. But I call as much as possible just to check on her.
Then one night, her boyfriend chatted me up on Whatsapp and as gentlemen, we talked about it like matured people and I told him I am not gonna stick around that he should talk to his girlfriend.
I asked how he got my number, he said he secretly took it from her phone because of the many calls and most times I call, both of them are together.
I asked him what has the girl been telling him about me, he told me she is saying we are just friends and nothing much.
II apologized to him and said I will watch my limits that he should talk to the girl himself about it.
Two days passed, I have stopped calling the girl like I used to, then on the third day she called and asked me why did I change all of a sudden that I no longer chat her up or call like I used to, she was being emotional, and as a good friend, I love her and wouldn't want to see her sad.
I opened up to her about what transpired between me and her guy and I begged her not to confront him. She was so mad at the guy for chatting me up after she has told him many times that I am "just a friend".
I told the girl that for the sake of her relationship, I don't want to stick around and I don't want to be the guy that breaks people's relationships.
The girl started crying and said I should not leave her, that I should at least be her best friend that she can't loss me..
I agreed to be the bestfriend so as to make her feel happy..
Fast forward to this week, the girl said she loves me so much and didn't know how to tell me before and she is kind of confused to chose between her guy and me. I told her that I love her too but she should not leave anybody for me that we should just continue being friends and see what the future holds because no one knows tomorrow.
Few days ago, the girl said she wants to have sex with me.. and even going as far as telling me the style she wants..
I respect the fact that she is in a relationship and I even told her about it, but she was having non of it.
Please nairalanders, what should I do. LOL She has a guy, but “ But I call as much as possible just to check on her”You are funny. Who do you think you are deceiving here? You’ve always wanted to sleep with her, so why do you need validation from the public? Your conscience pricks you? |

That corps member was the author of his own death. And besides who told you he might not have been a cult member plying his trade for political stipends. Why out of all corpers in kogi it had to be him. What was he doing? Was he the only one on assignment. He should have been fully aware of the consequences of political violence still he decided to sacrifice himself. Have some humanity. He is a corp member. He was working for INEC and reportedly got killed in the violence that bedevilled the state last week. Electoral violence. That is was done by APC Thugs is important to the police, but irrelevant here. If you were ever a corp member, you know that once you are duly registered and officially wear that Khaki the government is responsible for your being alive during that period. Any death of corp members is investigated to the later. Flags fly at half-mast. I can go on and on. You've got a conscience. Or some residues of it. Have some humanity and stop justifying the death of a serving corp member, no matter how strong the urge is to justify deaths. |

Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former Minister of Transport on Tuesday said former President Goodluck Jonathan will regret working for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded governorship election in Bayelsa state against his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Babatope also faulted those calling for the resignation of Prince Uche Secondus over the party's loss in Kogi and Bayelsa, saying the APC shamelessly manipulated the elections.
" I hope it is not true that former president Goodluck Jonathan worked against the party in Bayelsa. If he did so, I'm sure that he is going to regret it" he said.
David Lyon of the APC was declared as the governor-elect after defeating Sen. Douye Diri of the PDP.
https://www.independent.ng/jonathan-will-regret-working-for-apcs-victory-in-bayelsa-babatope/?utm_source=&utm_medium=facebook Jonathan who openly supported Atiku, Kwankwaso, Saraki, etc, who worked against him, is he the same person that will work against PDP in his state where he is NOT the governor or has no ambition he is chasing? Dickson is your fall guy. Go and fight him and stop obsfuscating what has happened. Once you impose someone on a party, party stalwarts will revolt against you. It’s a fight no Governor can win. This is politics. This is simple. Okorocha tried imposing his in-law Uche Nwosu in APC primaries, what happened? Didnt his son not loose the primaries? Didnt APC eventually loose the state to PDP? Fight the arrogant Dickson and leave GEJ alone. |

The Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on gutter affairs, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, has cried out after Airpeace stopped him from travelling through their airline.
In a statement made available to Igbere TV on Tuesday, Igbokwe said it pains him to no end that the management of Air Peace can do this to me.
He alleged that he was blocked from travelling through the airline because he criticised the Airpeace.

Politics › Re: 8 Implications Of Kogi/Bayesa Elections In Nigeria by madridsta007(m): 11:40am On Nov 19, 2019 |
ENGINEERG: Nigeria, a country endowed by God, would have become one of the best countries of the world. But since her independence, her leadership has been her Nightmare.
In 1999, over 20years ago- Nigeria returned fully back to democracy, but still, the leaders have been terrible.
Democracy, where the will of the people should be the hallmark has been destroyed by power mongers, so Nigeria democracy can be termed as autocracy.
Looking back, we saw the inglorious election of Morris Iwu, but we develop gradually during the time of jega, because we knew our vote counted then. But the recent INEC under Mahmoud has conducted elections that is taking us backward.
2 days ago, the election conducted in Kogi and Bayelsa, has raised eyebrows, because of the Impunity, Rigging, killings , security agencies compromise etc.
Listed below are 8 implications on Nigerians
1. In the future elections, there will be voter A party __
because voting is like wasting our time and risking our lives, because at the End, Power-that-be determines the Winners, people won't come out to vote again
2. Politicians will more take election as war __ because they will always want to march fire for fire..forget about the ceremonial peace accord
3. Thuggery will be more lucrative
Going by the recent elections,I wonder how these thugs and hoodlums that are used are empowered with arms and ammunition, vehicles, and I know they will smile to Bank
4. Many people become hopeless on Nigeria__
It's a fact that, with this show of sham, people become hopeless on having good leaders who can transform our country
5. Good people will run away from politics ---
Yes, I have seen many people who don't want to talk on politics, because its traumatic to them
6. Governors won't bother to perform to be reelected ---
This is true, because if I can't talk on anywhere I can talk on Kogi, it is a place I do visit. I almost cry whenever I visit, but at the end, the Governor won with wide margins..you know more!!!
7. Nigerians won't believe on anyone's Integrity anymore...
Na so o, I know many people who still think they are dreaming , because they believe so much on BUHARI integrity, and wonder what is happening in his era?
8. More Security danger---
Its another implications because in all these elections , the thousands of hoodlums that were empowered won't want to be idle, so they start arm robbery or kidnapping
Add your own too
..God bless Nigeria Your eight is perhaps most prominent. What many people do not know, asides those who resided in Borno and Yobe States between 2000 and 2010 is that Boko Haram's first brigade of fighters were trained almajiris trained, used for electioneering purposes by the then Governor Senator Ali Modu Sherrif and then dumped after he won a second term. He had no more use for them. He then went ahead to ban "achaba", motorcycle riders in the attempt to render them useless. They got angry, teamed up with Mohammed Yusuf when he got back from his Jihadi training and started unleashing their madness on Borno and Yobe state residents. This is why Boko Haram hates anything politics and democracy. They got killed by the army, Mohammed Yusuf got killed and when they broke out from jail, they metamorphosed into terrorists. Nigerians are dancing around fire. It is flaming, but we are pretending to ourselves that, "it is not that hot." |

Someone who is well-educated with 21st century leadership experience? Highly unlikely. He has a lot staked in his reputation and his nationalist and democrat character wont allow for that. The position of the President in any unitary sytem as Nigeria's is very powerful. The character of the President will spill over and inform whatever happens at the state-level, everywhere. TITOPE: The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has again declared the State as a Christian State, adding that he owes no one any apology.
The Governor spoke at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Holy Ghost Rally, which held at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday.
He said, “But for God, the enemies would have taken over the state. I thank the Church for standing firm.
“They prayed for God’s will to be done and God’s will was done. But for your prayers, I won’t be here as Rivers State Governor.
“Anytime I have the opportunity, I repeat the declaration with authority and I owe nobody an apology. I am standing on solid authority. Rivers is a Christian state.”
Wike said he remained Governor due to God’s intervention.
He said God dislodged “forces of darkness” who were primed to rob him of his mandate.
He described himself as a living testimony of God’s blessing.
“Nigerians are aware of what happened on 9th March 2019. If anyone says he does not believe in God, that event of March 9 should make you believe God,” he added.
