tobie247: I swear every information i gave was totally honest. It's only the estate account i didnt include cos its not a personal account. Below is thier last paragraph, "You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee." I dont know if it means i can apply again immediately. Well, you left out the estate account which appears to be in a joint account. Their argument is still valid. DONT argue with them. Nigerians know how to argue even when they are clearly wrong. To the white man, tht is arrogance. And they hate arrogance. Like I assumed, you cannot appeal a visiting visa. BUT you can reapply. Be HONEST and open with every detail when you reapply. There is likely going to be a section that says, "have you been denied a visa before?" PLEASE state, YES. I am sure it would be a drop down box. Dont be "smart" about your answers, it wont workAnd then CLEARLY state the reasons for the denial, that is, that you did not include your estate account because it was a joint account with your mum and you did not know joint accounts can be included. Then add, "find attached the estate account with documents from my bank verifying the validity of the account". Include evidence of STRONG TIES to your home country. Then go and pray . You should get it. All the best. |

tobie247: Hello ladies and Gentlemen.
I applied for a visitors' visa to Canada July 23rd this year. Oct. 23rd, i received a mail from them that my accounts seemed fraudulent and they gave me 10 days to prove the accounts are mine with sufficient evidence. The accounts i used are my salary account and my personal savings account with like 400k in the savings and 500plus in my salary acct & savings acct.
So i replied wt a cover letter stating d accounts were mine and that most of d cashflow in my savings account were from the family estate account which has quute a huge sum and onlyi and my mom have access to, i printed out another set of bank statements with cover letters from the bank stating i was indeed d owners of d account with no bad record. I also got a cover letter from d Estate account stating i was a signatory and therefore had access to it with no bad record.
Yesterday, i got a mail from the stating i was refused d visa becos i withheld information from them and therefore inadmissable until after 5 years.
Dear gurus, can i appeal this? Cos i didn't withhold anybinfo except i didnt include d Estate acct d first time. I cant bear that refusal nor d 5 years. Think deeply and have a honest and objective review of the situation, did YOU withhold information from them? If you did, they have the grounds for refusal. If you didnt, then they do not. I suggest the following: 1. If you withheld information from them, then appeal and plead ignorance. The estate account does not appear to be a personal account, is it? You can simply say that you ONLY included accounts which was a single account in your name and not a joint account, as you believed that joint accounts did not qualify for submission. Try and search their reqiurements and find statements that supports this statement. 2. If you didnt withhold information for them, then appeal and state explicity while you think you didnt withhold information from them. Use bullet-points to state your points. 3. Appeal as well, perhaps on the grounds of this being your first offence, or first time of international application, you were not aware of all the requirements hence the 5 years ban is too much. You did not flout their rules intentionally. But these will only be possible if they allow for appeal of visiting visa. I am not sure they do. You need to do your research on this. Be HONEST with your appeal and include all evidences as much as you can. With visa applications y'all NEED to be HONEST about everything you write in it. If you are not sure, write, "I am not sure". Dont go the Nigerian way of assuming answers. It will come back to bite. |

Politics › Re: We Were Humiliated, Traumatised — Sacked Osinbajo’s Aides by madridsta007(m): 12:28pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
hisexcellency34: Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos
Some aides of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who were recently relieved of their duties by the presidency, have lamented the injustice meted out to them by some powerful forces working for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Some of the affected aides who spoke with Daily Independent on Tuesday said they had suffered physical, emotional, financial and psychological trauma by their sack which, they believed, was done without President Buhari’s knowledge.
Speaking with our correspondent, one of the affected aides who didn’t want his name in print, said he was given the appointment in August this year and was told to report in the vice president’s office.
They also attributed their sack to intense rivalry and power play in the presidency. He said he had to resign from his job, leave his base in Lagos, and relocate to Abuja in order to take up the appointment.
“We were actually issued a sack letter but we refused to accept the letter which was given to us after the president had gone for vacation. We all believed it was done without the knowledge of the president.
“I was among the aides who were appointed in August. Later we were told there are no vacancies in the Villa so were posted to various ministries where our experiences will be needed.
“I was posted to a ministry (name withheld) and I was accepted there. I was already settling down only for me to hear that we have been relieved of our jobs.
“Contrary to rumours out there that we were sacked because there were no spaces in the ministries, many of us had already been accepted. We believe it (the sack) has political undertones.
“When I got this appointment, I had to resign from my job and move to Abuja. Since I came here, I have spent millions of naira on hotel bills, transportation and other expenses.
“I have been ridiculed by some friends who are wondering why I was offered an appointment in August only to be sacked in November of the same year without committing any infractions.
“I have since returned to my base in Lagos because it is of no use staying back in Abuja. Hotels in Abuja are very expensive and cost of living is very high. I will only return after the issue has been resolved.
“I am a staunch member of the APC and I worked vigorously for the success of the party in 2015 and the 2019 general elections. This is definitely not a good way to reward me,” he said.
Speaking in a similar vein, another female aide whose appointment was also terminated, said she went through the same harrowing experience too as her business suffered during the period she was in Abuja.
She was, however, optimistic that the vice-president would sort out the issue with the president and that they would be recalled.
“There is still light at the end of the tunnel. The president may be right when he said we were not sacked but redeployed to other ministries.
“That was what happened before he left the country. But after that a powerful person in the presidency issued us sack letters. We believe the vice president is on top of the situation.
“For me, I was highly disappointed and traumatized. Imagine my name being circulated in the media that I was sacked a month after I got an appointment for committing no offence.
“I have also spent a lot of money while my businesses have suffered since I moved to Abuja. Many of us believe that justice will prevail in the end.”
Shortly after he returned from his private visit to London, President Muhammadu Buhari explained why 35 of Osinbajo’s aides were sacked.
Fielding questions from State House correspondents at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, shortly after his arrival from London on Friday night, President Buhari described as unfortunate the rumour that the aides were sacked due to political and ethnic reasons.
“They said 35 people were sacked in the vice president’s office. We just created some ministries and we reorganized and people are giving it ethnic and political dimensions. It is unfortunate,” he said.
Also, the presidency, in a statement by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, said an unprecedented overhaul of the nation’s seat of government was ongoing and had resulted in a number of political appointments either revoked or not renewed in Buhari’s second term.
The exercise, which, according to him, was ordered by the president, was meant to streamline decision-making, cut down multiple authorities and reduce the high cost of administering the nation.
“It is also an appropriate response to the general perception that the presidency has an oversized and bloated workforce, which acts as a drag on efficiency,” he had said.
He had added: “As may have been noticed by discerning members of the public, a number of political appointees among the few that served in the office of the president were not returned for the second term.
“The office of the Vice President, His Excellency Yemi Osinbajo, has, in compliance with the directive of the president, equally been shed of a number of such appointees.
“In carrying out these exercises, the overriding objective is to save taxpayer money and deliver needed service to the public.
“As far as the president is concerned, there is no scope for an excuse for administration after getting a huge mandate to run the country for four more years.”
On the alleged rift between the two top citizens, he said: “In the light of this, the presidency wishes to strongly deny rumours of a rift between President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
“The relationship between the two leaders remains excellent and trusting. Together, they will script a glorious future for the nation.
“The media reports of a soured relationship are originating from the minds and mouths of mischief makers, who are desperate for entertaining stories from the Aso Rock Villa with which to titillate the public.” https://www.independent.ng/we-were-humiliated-traumatised-sacked-osinbajos-aides/ Nothing of this happened. This is PDP propaganda. You guys were not sacked. You are still working in Aso Rock, hand in hand with the Presidency to make Nigeria great again. Laolu said you were not sacked. We don’t believe. |

It is the first time since he began his professional career in 2001 that Martins has been without a club and he has insisted he has received several offers and he has not quit the game yet but incidentally, the former Nigeria international plans to soon open a top-class night club in Lagos.
"He was very open about why he will not move to Saudi Arabia,” the source informed SCORENigeria
"He says being part of the nightclubbing scene takes the pressure off him and without this, he cannot enjoy his football.”
Martins who has had spells in, Italy, England, Germany, Russia, Spain, America and China and he will be remembered for scoring Birmingham City's winner in their 2-1 Carling Cup final victory over Arsenal in 2011 - the club's first silverware since 1963.

Kapeter: you are ignorant brother, you should read more. I will address the Ghaddafi issue now and return to the Sadam issue later.
Do you hear anything about the 'Arab Spring' that started in Tunisia in 2011 where they were demanding that their former late president Ali should evacuate the sit, at the end the people won, Ali resigned and ran away to Saudi Arabia where he died recently, it was this same revolution that went through Egypt and Libya, it was Ghaddafis' people that asked for his resignation which he wouldn't then the U.S intervened and oust him. This same Arab spring is what happend in Algerua where they demand that Aboultrika or so should leave the sit, same happened in Lebanon recently where the prime minister resigned and presently on in Iraq.
So how's that U.S fault for answering call from people that needed them. If Ghaddafi had resigned just like Ali, there wouldn't have been problem in Libya today. His loyalists are the one destroying Libya till today because of his death.
Please endeavour to read all the time or most at least. LOL. Colonialists talking points. The Yellow Vests have been protesting for over a year— many of them, violent— calling for help, has the US come in to “help them”? Of course not. For one, France is a Sovereign State and the US is respecting its Sovereignty. I guess Libya is not a Sovereign State. Iraq isn’t. And by the way, Obama has refuted these your colonialists argument by stating that Libya neo-colonial invasion was his worst mistake in government. Was he drunk when he utter that? I have no more to say to you. |

Kapeter: don't be stupid brother. Slaves were not taken. Humans were taken and turn to slaves and mind you, they were sold by their own brothers and sisters and not the whites.
And the colonialist didn't invade our lands, they came on a mutual terms which was later betrayed. And by the time they came, many Yorubas have already accepted Islam from the Malians and have almost abandoned theirs. “They were sold by their own brothers and sisters...” Don’t be silly. It’s ignorance and you are not to be blamed really. This is a distorting narrative introduced by the colonialists in order to remove themselves from the terrible event that was the transatlantic slavery. Like it would happen in several decades or centuries from today; that the neo-colonial invasion and murder of millions in the Middle East was caused by the Iraqis, the Libyans and the Syrians themselves. I understand. The slave trade was genocide and understandably no sane person would want to associate himself/herself with instigating let alone participating in Genocide. Today German Historians are doing their bit to blame the indigenous people of Namibia that it is their fault that the Herero and Nama genocide occurred— the fault of the victims and not the genocidists. In a few decades from today, the Iraqis and Libyans would be told, “you were not invaded. We came on mutual terms and agreement with Saddam and Ghaddafi...”. Yes we killed millions but we were invited to kill. It is not our fault. Smh. Such ridiculousness is the only option for colonialists. History, has an ironical way of repeating itself. |

Some weeks back, a guy saw my wares online and came around to pick some footwears since we are in same city. He kept on talking on phone with a particular girl (my girl) about the type of shoe she likes. Remember I just gave her a new pair when she requested for one. Not even up to a month.
So this guy selected 3 pairs of shoes - two males shoes and one female own. He just told me to packet them that he would call me when money comes in. Fast-forward to today, he called in the afternoon and gave me a location to bring the shoe that he went out with his girl and will be traveling in the morning.
I dressed up, picked up the shoes at the shop and dashed to the location only to meet him with my girlfriend.
I just pretended like nothing happened, passed the shoes to him. She was shocked to the marrow but the guy never noticed. He asked her to wear the shoe so as to see how it suits but she just told him that he shouldn't bother that it's OK.
He paid me and as I was about leaving, he called me back and introduced me to his girl. I told her my name like we just met and left.
That's just it. I'm out for good. I'm free That is my kind of person. We move! The last thing I would do in this world is to reconcile in a relationship with a cheating girlfriend. Now I am about to apply for PhD management. The issue here is that I am confused if I will get a lecturer Job since I made third class and I didn't study a particular course from my bsc to PhD level.
Further more, can I get a scholarship to study for PhD with my degree in any foreign university still admitting? If there is, kindly avail me as the schools I had search have closed admission. Thanks alot in anticipation to your kind replies. 1. You can get a lecturer job ONCE you finish up your PhD successfully, IF AND ONLY IF, you write and publish articles in top quality journals in your researched field, which I am guessing, is Management. Publish papers using qualitative and quantitative approaches, (also known as mixed methods) and if you do so in top ABS3 ABS4 ABS4* rated journals, your Third Class would be so insignificant that you wont remember it. 2. With a one or two published papers and a decent proposal you can get a PhD scholarship. Do your research in finding those scholarships, but yes, you can. Congratulations on finishing your MSc. Your determination and grit is what counts in the entire PhD process. It can literally bleed you. But still very achievable. All the best. |

supercase1: *PEACEFUL GROUP: witnesses are always law abiding u don't see them fight, riot, steal or perpetuate social disorder unlike some religious groups in our country whose trademarks are violence and interrifts
*NO RACISM AMONG THEM: JW are found in over 276 countries, witnesses are the only true people with a true sense of global unity, a witness from Russia would readily host a witness from Mali just as he would do to his blood brother, or a white witness member would host a black witness member just as a United family. There is no form of racism or tribal discriminations among witnesses
PREACHING THE GOSPEL: witnesses are always active preaching the gospel about God kingdom as Jesus always preached while he was on earth, unlike most religious leaders today that preach about prosperity and money forgetting the main mission giving by Jesus which states AND THE GOOD NEWS OF THE KINGDOM WOULD BE PREACHED TO ALL INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH, AND THEN THE END WILL COME
You see, witnesses are the only Christian group doing Jesus and God will on earth https://thescoopng.com/2019/04/25/the-jehovahs-witnesses-cult-tears-families-apart-heres-how-it-tore-mine/“ The Jehovah’s Witnesses believed that the end of the world – Armageddon as they termed it – was going to happen sometime in 1975. As he attended their meetings three times every week, the message was hammered in with increasing urgency, with articles in their literature and messages from the American HQ explicitly urging members to stop their regular pursuits and prepare for the end of the world” |
