MIKOLOWISKA:I'm all for striking a balance. People should always strive to achieve equity and fairness in political offices. It doesn't make sense making such lopsided appointments given the abundance of talents nationwide. It's a collective property, so should be shared for the greater good. It may not impact so much on you, but it will on some other person(s). |
amtaken:And I wonder why. From this angle, the man seems to have trust issues, or could it be amnesia? He ought to have some sort of illness that makes him forget that he has made enough appointments Northwards already. Way too many appointments made from just one region. He's setting a bad precedence. He obviously has a lot to do shedding off the toga of bigotry. This is one area where I have always had my reservations about him. He's just not trying in this regard. |
![]() So says the coward! Real men seize the initiative. Don't litter our space with crap! |
omenka:I used to think so too, until I found out just how sharply his online image and the real life one contrasts. |
AdamsBashforth:The guy did make valid points. Disprove them or watch and pass... For that was a weak defence! |
yang:Do you mean to tell me that you still live in the zoo? That zoo? TF!! What kind of animal are you to have survived for as long? As for dividing the zoo eh, plenty tools dey market o, nna. Na just to use barbed wire demarcate am. So is it money or hands you need to divide it asap? |
sanandreas:Economic and political systems worldwide are fraught with injustices. It's hard to find any such arrangement that favors everybody equally. Best we can do is seek redress in a civilized manner. Whether or not the government would have behaved otherwise had the resources been deposited up North is debatable. There's no telling for sure unless it happened. All minerals mined are accounted for. But as they contribute a negligible amount to the national coffers, you won't get to see much of it in the media. You know common sense and politics are mutually exclusive. |
sanandreas:In this age and time, someone still believes that the militants are fighting for federal presence. How could you not see the truth despite it staring you in the face? |
But Maka, why these players fall my hand like this na... Barca why?! |
![]() Sometimes, you wonder how people who by their conduct belong in the class of 'agbero' end up in the hallowed chamber. How men in the vanguard end up bowing to rascals is something even Aryabhata cannot fathom! To put verbatim in the words of Winston Churchill, these very lawmakers are " charlatans, rascals, ruffians and scalawags of every stripe you can think of". Such beastly 'people'! |
Xiaomi it is! The apple of China that's 'out-appling' Apple! |
KuliMart:Actually, I want the mi 5 pro, but have been biding my time to see whether it's price will reduce anytime soon. Should it not, I will go for the redmi note 3 pro. |
First off, big props to MathsChic for covering the essentials and for stating them out so well! Bottom line is, if properly managed, it can help stabilize the naira and mitigate the consequences of the current economic crisis. And like I said on another thread, ![]() OrIandoOwoh:It won't put us into perpetual slavery any more than the US dollar has. Besides, this is a win-win. China is making efforts to popularise the Yuan, while for Nigeria, it provides an opportunity to shore up foreign reserves and provides a trading window. The dollar as world's reserve currency benefits the American Economy the most as it allows them access to cheap credit and a high percentage of government debt from the world's trust in its currency. If for none other, we should be thankful that Mr president traveled this one time! |
miky:Oh, wow! Thanks so much for this, sir! I did school in Nigeria though. Studied economics at ABU, Zaria, so it kind of makes me a bit informed on subjects as this. |
KuliMart:And xiaomi's? I couldn't find their products on your site when I checked yesterday. |

That's a big plus! But please, send sane minds who wouldn't end up coming back as failures and drug addicts! Nigeria needs all the human capital development that she can get! |
drss1:So one lacks integrity the more children they have schooling abroad? Your myopia no get rival! |
This very senate might well go down as the worst calamity to befall mankind! Never before has there been such a gaggle of nincompoops in government all at once! |
Aufbauh:Some people criticize just for the sake of doing so. The government on her part, isn't helping either; the communications policy for government offices so far have been poor at best. As though to say, 'let your assumptions guide you', the masses are left at the mercies of 'pressmen' and speculators. It's why almost anyone can churn out whatever nonsense that they can think of. A competent communication framework would have helped avoid a whole lot! |

Quite insightful! "I don't think there is any index of a bad economy listed above that is not yet happening in Nigeria, that is proof enough that neither APC nor PDP is our problem, but the strength we fail to muster in our diversity, while eschewing Bigotry, nepotism and unpatriotism that breed sabotage that eventually worsens the current economic situation." This really is a problem, one that's deeply rooted and seems insurmountable in the immediate future. I used to think that education would go a long way in helping with those, until I met professors who incite ethnic and religious hatred. It's the sort of thing that makes me regard Senagal as a miracle. |
KuliMart:I'll just wait until you have the golden color in Stock. Not really a fan of grey. |
KuliMart:Is that for the 32/3 gig version or the 16/2 gig one? + I saw the option of other colors isn't there any longer, just grey. I wanted the golden one. |
KuliMart:Why is the note pro now 76k? |
I repeat, Being corrupt is not just bad for the soul, it also harms the economy. Research has found that in countries with a lot of corruption, less of their gdp goes into investment and they have lower growth rates. Corrupt countries invest less in education, a sector of the economy that pays big economic dividends but small bribes, than do clean countries, thereby reducing their human capital. They also attract less foreign direct investment. These guys are trying to make graft the rule rather than the exception. Such a shame! |
See them bickering. Big men acting like kids. To them it's all power play, vengeance, accusations and counter accusations. You won't hear them speak as aloud about delivering the dividends of democracy ever. Not only is being corrupt bad for the soul, it also harms the economy. Imagine monies that could have gone into investments, education and the likes being debated like it's peanuts. Yet, these people's only true concern is power. How did we get here?! |
![]() Well, that's his bad! It means the man is even more confused than confusion itself! If I were you, I'd maintain a 100km distance away from that man. Someone who's quick to jump ship at the first sight of 'trouble' is up to no good! He must be seeking an easy way out, wanting everything to be handed to him on a plate without even having to lift a finger! Since he wasn't certain how genuine what he was selling was, how are we to believe he knows better now? May we never cross paths with those who will desert us when we most need helping! I thought you align with someone because you believe in their principles? |
