@op, the bible did not give more detail on other race ( the bible is not a history book) but like it or not Genesis 10 is historically understood to be the case.

Japheth moved east and became the father of the Asian peoples

The sons of Japheth; Gomer,
and Magog, and Madai, and
Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech,
and Tiras. ...

Shem moved west and became the father of the White European peoples

Unto Shem also, the father of
all the children of Eber, the
brother of Japheth the elder,
even to him were children born.
The children of Shem; Elam,
and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and
Lud, and Aram. ...

Ham moved South and became the father of the African peoples.

And the sons of Ham; Cush, and
Mizraim, and Phut, and
Canaan. ... And the sons of
Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and
Sabtah, and Raamah, and
Sabtechah: and the sons of
Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

The bible did not talk about race, the bible only address human as one race because, its purpose is how the human race can have a personal relationship with God.

Maybe you are talking about what you don't know

Here O Israel the Lord our God is one Lord- deuteronomy 6:4.
actually, the verse you quote strongly prove the trinity.
"Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God is one
LORD" (Deut. 6:4).

The Hebrew word for GOD ("Elohim"wink is plural
in form. The ending of this word
["...IM"] is a plural ending, example, cherubim, saraphim etc they all has a plural ending just like the hebrew word( Elohim ) for God end with IM .

The Hebrew word "one" found in Deuteronomy
6:4 is a word that can be used to describe a
plural (composite) unity (a unity made up of
more than one component). This is easily
illustrated in Genesis 2:24 where the same word "one" is found: "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh." Here we have a plural unity. It is a ONENESS made up of two persons ,a husband and a wife. They (plural) shall be one (singular) flesh. The two are one.

How did Joshua make the sun stand still by the power of yahweh? You said the earth stopped rotating. I just showed here how that's impossible.
The bible make it clear, everything that happen is a supernatural circumstance, of course, you atheist do not believe in the supernatural power. God who create this universe out of nothing , can do MUCH more than this. Of course, the Bible was not written as a work of science nor was its purpose to describe the workings of the physical world. It was written to explain spiritual principles ,the nature of mankind, the nature of God, and how people can have a personal relationship with God.

The Bible says that Joshua prayed to God and God performed a miracles. The text makes it clear that Sun "stopped in the middle of the sky".We still use phrases like the "Sun rose", "Sun set". There is no English (or Hebrew)
phrase indicating that the earth rotates until the horizon covers the Sun.

see bro, you know NOTHING of what you are saying, you don't deserve all this reply because your knowledge of the bible is soo shallow. Yes kings in the bible are messiah, messiah mean anointed one. The prophet anoint the kings to be messiah and savior to the people.

In the case of jesus, it was God Himself who anoint Jesus to be king and savior to the world, in fact In Psalm 45:7-8, we find Scriptures confirming this concept “THY THRON, O God, is forever and ever: the scepter of Thy KINGDOM is a right scepter. Thou lovest righteousness, and
hatest wickedness: therefore God, Thy God,
HATH ANOINTED Thee with the oil of gladness
above Thy fellows.”

The throne imply, He is a king, in scripture kings are anointed by prophet, in the case of jesus, it is GOD Himself that anointed HIM.

In Acts 10:38, we read. “How God anointed
Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and
with power: Who went about doing good, and
healing all that were oppressed of the devil;
for God was with Him.”

First of all, let’s recognize the fact that God was
doing the anointing HERE. It was God Who
anointed Jesus. What this means is that He set
Him apart for a certain work. That work was to
be the Messiah , the Anointed One. You are not qualified to interpret scripture. Scholar has already debunk this thread.

Allah warn muhammed not to have doubt, and the danger of having doubt:
Surah 10:15
And when Our clear revelations are recited
unto them, they who look not for the
meeting with Us say: Bring a Lecture other
than this, or change it. Say (O Muhammad):
It is not for me to change it of my
accord. I only follow that which is inspired
in me. Lo! if I disobey my Lord I fear the
retribution of an awful Day.

And YET muhammed had doubt:

Surah 10:94-95
And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt
concerning that which We reveal unto
thee, then question those who read the
Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the
Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So
be not thou of the waverers. And be not
thou of those who deny the revelations
of Allah, for then wert thou of the
losers.

Yet it is hard to see how Muhammad could
avoid having serious doubts when his deity is
constantly warning and threatening him. These
repeated scare tactics would cause him to have greater doubts and may explain why
Muhammad never felt certain whether Allah
would honor him,

Surah 46:8-9
Or do they say, 'He has forged it'? Say: 'If I
have forged it, you have no power to help
me against Allah. He knows very well what
you are pressing upon; He suffices as a
witness between me and you; He is the All-
forgiving, the All-compassionate.' Say: 'I am
not an innovation among the Messengers,
and I KNOW NOT WHAT SHALL BE DONE WITH ME OR YOU.I only follow what is revealed to me; I am only a clear warner.'

These references should trouble any Muslim. If Allah greatest prophet is uncertain of were he will spend his eternity, what will become of his follower ? As Jesus say " blind cannot lead the blind, they both will fall into pit "

According to the above expositors Q. 46:9 was
canceled out or abrogated by Q. 48:2 since the
latter text states that Muhammad’s past and
future sins had been forgiven.

But is this what the verse actually says? Does it
really claim that Allah had forgiven all of
Muhammad’s previous and latter sins? Let us
see:

Surah 48:1-2
Lo! We have given thee (O Muhammad) a
signal victory, That Allah MAY forgive
thee of thy sin that which is past and
that which is to come, and MAY perfect
His favour unto thee, and MAY guide thee
on a right path,

As the readers can see for themselves the
reference doesn’t say that Allah HAD forgiven
Muhammad completely, but that he MAY
forgive his messenger of his sins. Moreover, the following Surah which was composed at a later time, shows that Allah hadn’t removed all of Muhammad’s sins:

Surah 110:1-3
When comes the Help of Allah (to you, O
Muhammad against your enemies) and the
conquest (of Makkah), And you see that the
people enter Allah's religion (Islam) in
crowds, So glorify the Praises of your Lord,
and ASK FOR HIS FORGIVENESS Verily, He is
the One Who accepts the repentance and
forgives.

The question to ask is why is Muhammad still
being commanded to ask forgiveness for his sins if Allah had already completely forgiven him? the text of Q. 48:2 doesn’t say that Allah would definitely wipe away his prophet’s sins, but that he may do so if he so chooses to. Yet Q. 110 makes it clear that Allah hadn’t chosen to remove all of Muhammad’s sins, which explains why the latter is still being commanded to seek for forgiveness. After all, if Allah has already forgiven Muhammad then there is no need to remind or command him to ask to be forgiven.

the scripture make it clear that no one know the day or the hour of christ return.but the bible dos say that we can know the time and season surrounding his coming, you may be thinking the usual saying like... So because disease and immorality are running rampant and because there are wars and rumors of war and we have had some few earthquake that Jesus is coming soon ? Yeah we've heard all that before. But after studying the bible I discover something interesting about the end of days. Pleas read.

my theory about the end of days started when I read a verse in isaiah 46. It say that God declare the end from the beginning. A similar verse was in isaiah48. This lead me to the creation story in the book of genesis. As I study the first chapter, I began to wonder, WHY IT TOOK GOD SIX DAYS TO CREATE THIS WORLD AND REST ON THE SEVENTH DAY,WHY WOULD HE TAKE SIX DAYS WHEN HE COULD HAVE CREATED THE WORLD IN ONE SECOND, IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE?I started studying the word "day" and days" I discover some interesting passages that related to this. Maby God is indicating to us how much time man would have on earth. this is the point, the bible especially the old testament is full of foreshadowing. An event that actually happen in history, also picture somting coming in the
future. An example is the sacrifice of abraham
and isaac, that even actually happen, and it was also a picture of what God will do to his son Jesus on the cross as an offering for the sin of the world. Now why will God take SIX days to create the world? Is this a picture of somting we need to know? I think it is. In 2peter 3:8, the context was reffering to the second coming of Jesus christ, the bible say that a one day with
they Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand year is like a day. Psalm 90. A thousand year in God sight is like yesterday.so could it be that the six days of creation were you indicate to us the time man will spend on this earth would be about six thousand years?...the seventh day of rest picturing the thousand years millennia reign, when christ come back to set up is kingdom, the time of righteousness and peace.bible scholar have calculate from the first man adam to the first coming of christ to be 4000years,if that is the case then we are could have been living at the end of what the new testament called THE LAST DAYS. now this is the issue. God deal with time in the bible, when God measure time He dose so by seven.....
1.God created the world in seven days, with the seven day being for REST.
2according to the old testament law,the jew
were commanded to REST every SEVEN days.
3.the seventh week after the passover, they
celebrated a big feast of REST.
4.the seventh month of were perhaps the most
important when they celebrated three of there
biggest feast of REST.
5.every seventh year was the year of REST for
the land.
6.every 49years ,seven times seven, they
celebrated the year of jubilee, which is a year of REST for the land and liberty for the people. so it made perfect sense to me that God would set up a seven thousand year period for man to occupy the earth, with the last thousand year
being a time of REST when Jesus come back to
set up his earthly kingdom, as spoken in
revelation20.I was right when I say God deal
with time he dos so by seven.the second coming of christ is the most important day in God's calendar , he want us yo know the timing .

Hosea was a prophet in the old testament, in
verse 6 of that book , hosea talk about isreal,
God chosen nation, who was always rejecting
God.the nation was goin to be torn apart, but
verse two say" after two days will he revive us , the third day he will raise us up and the we shall live in his sight"what dos this mean? When Jesus come isreal reject him as there messiah , so God scatter the nation of isreal all over the world. For 1900 years there is no nation of isreal but God say after two days[ or 2000yrs] I will revive thee, and you, isreal will live in my sight: the scatter isreal became a nation in the year 1948.this is important because God is reviving the nation of isreal and they are about to live in his sight when Jesus come back to set up his earthly kingdom , have you ever meet a cannanite ? How about the amorite? No because these are isreal enemies and God did not preserve them, the jew have been preserve because they are God chosen people and he must fulfill and keep his promise he made to them but the jew are still rejecting christ, for how long?after two days [or 2000years] I will revive thee and the third day you shall live in my sight.

The second coming event are about to begin, I
see the same foreshadowing in exodus 19:11.
God told isreal to clean up and wait for two
days, the third day I'm comin down in the sight
of they nation. In john 11. Lazarus died a jew,
Jesus waited for two days before he raise him
from death, this is a picture of how God is about to turn his back from isreal for the next two thousand years [or two days] and start reach out for the rest of the world through the new testament church which he did. God dint just throw this stuff in the bible to wast space ,maby am right , maby God is tryin to tell us somtin.in matthew17:1 say that Jesus tool peter, james and john up to the mountain, apart from the rest, did the thing we want to know happen up there? Yes.Jesus transfigured before them and the are giving a preview of his second coming glory, now the first word of the verse was "after six days" why did God throw this in? To was space? Or is God tryin to tell us somtin that we need to know?note:the time from adam to Jesus is 4,000years[4days] the time of the church period is two thousand years[2days] so could this mean after 6000yrs [6days] God will revive isreal and fulfill his promise he made to them? Hmmm am I reading to much . If am right, BROTHERS WE ARE LIVING IN THE END OF DAYS. REPENT. THANK YOU.
Christianity Etc › Re: One Question, Three Different Answers by malvisguy212(op): 6:47am On Aug 07, 2016
malvisguy212:
by Eric Lyons, M.Min.

Three times in the book of Acts, Luke the physician recorded non-Christians asking what they needed to do to be saved, and three times a different answer was given.

The heathen jailor from Philippi asked
Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?,” and was told: “BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND YOU WILL BE SAVED” (16:30-31).

The Jews on Pentecost asked the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?,” and were instructed to“REPENT AND BE BAPTISED ” (2:37-38).

A few years later, Saul (later called Paul
Acts 13:9) asked Jesus, Who appeared to
Saul on his way to Damascus, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” (9:6; 22:10). After being told to go into Damascus to find out what he “must do” to be saved, Ananias, the Lord’s servant, commanded Saul to “RISE AND BE BAPTISED, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord” (22:16).
The question that many ask is: “Why are three different answers given to the same question?” Are these answers contradictory, or is there a logical explanation for their differences?

The reason that three different answers
were given to the question of salvation is because on each occasion the
questioners were at different “locations”
on the road to salvation. The rationality
of such answers can be illustrated by
considering what a person is told in
reference to his physical distance from a certain city. If a friend calls me to ask
how far it is from his house in Jackson,
Tennessee to my parents’ house in
Neosho, Missouri, I would inform him
that he is 475 miles from Neosho. If he
calls me back the next day, notifying me
that he is now in Little Rock, Arkansas,
and asks about the distance to Neosho, I would give him a different answer. He
now would be 260 miles from Neosho. If,later that evening, he called me one last time and asked how far Fort Smith is from Neosho, again I would give him a different answer— 130 miles. No rational person would accuse me of contradicting myself, since each question was asked from a different reference point. Three different answers were given, but all three were correct. Likewise, the New Testament records three different answers given to the question, “What must I do to be saved,” because the sinners who asked these questions were at different places of understanding on the road to salvation.

The Philippian jailor was commanded to
believe in Christ, because he had not yet heard and believed the saving message of Jesus (Acts 16:31-32; Romans 10:17). It would have been pointless for Paul and Silas to command the jailor to repent and/or be baptized when he had not yet even heard the Gospel. If today, a Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist, asked a Christian the same question the Philippian jailor asked Paul and Silas, the same answer would need to be given.

Before ever teaching a Muslim about the essentiality of repentance and baptism, he first must express belief in Jesus as the Son of God. If this step (i.e.,
believing) is never taken on the road to
salvation, the other steps are
meaningless. [NOTE: The Bible reveals
that after Paul and Silas “spoke the word of the Lord” to the jailor and his
household, they believed and
“immediately” were baptized (Acts 16:33).

By implication, Paul and Silas must have
taught the jailor and his family about the essentiality of baptism after stressing the need to “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (cf. Acts 8:35-36,38). Question: If water baptism has nothing to do with salvation, then why were the jailor and his household immersed in water not long after midnight (cf. Acts 16:25,33)?]

The Jews on Pentecost had already heard Peter’s sermon when they asked their question about salvation (Acts 2:37). Peter knew that they already believed, and that such belief came from hearing the message he preached (cf. Romans10:17). The Jews had passed the point of belief (being “pricked in their heart”), and were told to “repent and be baptized” in order to obtain salvation (cf. Mark 16:16).

Still, someone might wonder why
Ananias told Saul neither to believe nor
repent when he informed him about how to have his sins washed away. The
reason: Saul already was a penitent
believer in Christ by the time he came in contact with Ananias. Saul did not need to be told to believe or repent, since he had already done so. He knew the Lord existed, having spoken directly with Him on the road to Damascus, and he expressed a penitent attitude by praying to God and fasting for three days (Acts 9:9,11). At this point, Saul lacked only one thing: he needed to be baptized (Acts 22:16).

The reason these sinners were told three different things regarding salvation was because they were at different starting points when given the various answers. It is as if the jailor were in Jackson, Tennessee, the Jews on Pentecost in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Saul in Fort Smith. All wanted to go to the same place, but were at different starting points when they asked the question,“What must I do to be saved?” The unbeliever was told to believe. The
believers were told to repent. And the
penitent believer was told to be
baptized. The three statements may be
different, but they are not contradictory.
For a person to become a child of God,
he or she must do all three (see John
8:24; Luke 13:3,5; Matthew 28:19; Mark
16:16).

Christianity Etc › Re: Faith,belief,reason And Truth. by malvisguy212(op): 6:44am On Aug 07, 2016
malvisguy212:
Justification is the concept that provides
our belief with the assuredness of its
truth. People believe things for reasons,
which provide the warrant for their belief.Without these reasons, you do not have knowledge of what you believe. If a belief is JUSTIFIED, then we have the right to believe it. Atheists got it wrong, there view was; " since you cannot know something with 100% certainty, you cannot obtain the truth (or knowledge), you just have to believe ,God did it". The bible say otherwise, in Isaiah 1:18 God is calling human to "come and let us REASON together"

This brief journey into obtaining knowledge of what you belief was done in order to show the relationship between FAITH,BELIEF AND TRUTH . Christianity requires faith, faith requires
belief, and belief requires TRUTH.This is not just a mere belief but rather a trust that is characterized as knowledge.

Notice how Paul incorporates all three of these elements in his letter to the
Romans, “if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). You cannot "confess with your mouth" without knowing the truth.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot make myself believe that there is a pink elephant in the room right now. I do not have direct free will over my beliefs, i.e. I can’t make myself believe something. I also cannot just tell people what to believe or exhort them to believe it. But if I don’t have free will over my beliefs, how can the Bible hold me responsible for them? The answer lies in the fact that I do have responsibility as to where I choose to focus my mind. I have free choice in body movements and where to place my attention (what you choose to think about). I have to choose to be preoccupied with something to change my belief or increase my certainty in that belief .Faith in the biblical sense means trust or confidence, confident in what we know to be TRUE. You do not have to be 100% certain in a belief for it to count as knowledge.

The bible say faith alone cannot save , why? because what you have faith in
must be TRUE, Biblical faith is accurate knowledge combined with ACTIVE TRUST Faith and knowledge are not opposed to each other. So Trusting faith alone does NOT save, but instead what is trusted MUST be true.

The faith Jesus had was not an absence of knowledge, but was based upon an intimate knowledge of his Father. We too can gain knowledge to make our faith richer.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did God Created Sinners? by malvisguy212: 6:30am On Aug 07, 2016
The simple answer is love , how can you be love without something to Love you back ? how can you love a doll and claim the doll love you back ? It isn't true love if it HAS to love you back. So He can create a man in such a way that man can choose to love Him, if they so CHOOSE to, break His heart, TRUE LOVE. But there are people who choose different way, who do not want God's love, God will not interfere in their decision, They do not want to live in unity and love with God. God did NOT choose to BREAK THEM, they made THIS CHOICE. He made them to DECIDE.

Useless man whipping up religious sentiments as usual. Muslims and Christians are brothers and we serve one God. We will not allow politicians to divide us any further
NO, we do not serve one God, it is crystal clear, allah love only the believers but hate the unbelievers. In the bible God first love us all including sinner, that is why He sent His only son for the remission of sin. Christian and muslims serve DIFFERENT GOD !!!

Genesis 1 vs 20 - 25 narrates the creation of all animals on earth before Man was eventually created in 'vs 26 - 27'

Genesis 2 vs 18 - 19 tells us otherwise, that Man was created 1st before all the animals on earth, with an emphasis on the fact that Adam actually named all the animals himself.

Is Moses, the acclaimed writer of Genesis(as they'd like us to bliv), confused?

OR

Is this an indication that the book of Genesis was crafted by more than 1 author?

Cc: malvisguy212
Genesis 1 is the account of the creation of the universe and life on planet earth as it happened in chronological sequence. But Genesis 2 simply expend the explanation that occurred at the 6th day of creation. Genesis 1 did not give much detail in the creation of human other than man was created in the image of God.

Genesis 2 describes God's preparation of a specific location on earth (Eden) for habitation by the first human beings. Part of the confusion results from our English translations, which use the term "earth" when the Hebrew would better be translated "land."

I get ur point, u're only going around in circles while I sit here waitin for u to cite a biblical reference that succinctly implies Abel as not being the second born..
Therein, the debates bcums more interesting whereby I try disprove the semantics of whateva citation u present..that way, we both learn from new angles to dis..
I'd like to drop this debate with u, if we wanna proceed into illogically hypothetical perspectives of this issue. It would appear to defeat reason rather than improve it.
I check the others bible translation and no text specifically call abel the second born. Its okay to disagree with me. Thank you. Looking forward to your next topic.
