Chibuking81: I do not understand the kind of manipulation going on in CCNN, yesterday I offer for sell my unit with them at #10.31 using day as limit, the stock close at #10.32 without my mandate been executed, today again I shift my price limit back to #10.30 and the stock close again at #10.32 and my sell mandate was not executed again, pls any idea of what will be the reason of bypassing my price without my Mandate been executed. The prices usually goes back to #10.32 by 2.30pm when the NSE session might have been close. Pls I need BNSITL contribution toward this my experience. They were crossed. |

Josh121: BNSITL please i have an issue I have not receive most of my dividend since last year , I send a letter via my broker and the told me the divdend warrant as been mailed out but up till now I have not gotten anything . This include stocks like firstbank , stanbic , oando, ccnn.
I was qualify for stanbic but I sold it few month after the payment date . Please how do I go about it to retrieve them ? Your warrants expire after 6 months. Then you can call at the Registrars' and have them revalidated. Payment is made directly to your registered bank account with the registrar. You should get your credit alert in less than 10 working days. |

angelo82: Profiting from trade is different from profiting from misfortune............Hope you get it............. Not sure I get it. When you take profits after, say a 25% increase and a trader who mistimes the market buys from you hoping to realize some gains only for the market to take a sharp turn. If he ends up taking a haircut, what word would you prefer to use in place of misfortune? Anyway, aside NSEMPA, there's nothing brotherly about the stock market. Eat or be eaten. It's survival of the smartest. |

@Angelo82; Your post about profiting from the misfortune of others cracked me up. How else does a trader make profit from the stock market? Think about it. |

Chibuking81: Let tell ourselves the truth. (1). The immediate past administration was rated with high rate of corruption, in all sectors. (2) Most of the public own companies were sold and bought back by the same people and their loyalist thinking that government will last till next 50 years. (3). A lot of illegality in both oil sector and banking sector, with high rate of manipulation in the stock exchange market. NOW WE TALK ABOUT CHANGE (1) all the misdeed/corruption of last administration will not be accommodated by this adminissation, the remaining bad agents of the past administration will be trace and will be remove. (2) on the contrary, their government did not last, and what they allocated to themselves will be retrieve back, and this process will negatively affect the stock exchange. (3). There is every possibility that mr president will combine his office with that of ministry of petroleum, illegality in the banking sector will be checkmate, manipulation in the Nigeria stock exchange will be a thing of the past. NOTE, all these process to bring Nigeria to a better position will force the stock to fall, and it has started, but after all these measures been taken Nigeria Stock will bounce back with a better and trusted position. Like seriously? Even Mr President will shiver if he reads this Buhari is in soup mehn! |

2cato: Fellow traders and investors, please i need ur help. My account with my stockbroker shows i am having a total of 2650 units of unilever and on recieving my dividend warrant of 10kobo it was stated that i am having a total of 3430 units of unilever with the registrar. I contacted my broker and he insist that my units with them is 2650 and when i contacted the registrar they said that my units with them is 3430. Who among them is right and who among them is wrong and how /what will i do about such so as to make sure my units with the registrars is equal to that with the stock brokers? Do you have an account with another broker? If yes, check with the other broker. Your mystery units might be in your account with them. Bonus shares are sometimes credited to an account which was not used for the initial purchase, most probably because they share the same CHN. In my own case, I called CSCS directly and gave the CSO my preferred account for subsequent bonuses. |

Born2berich: Unity has gained from N2.13 to, N 2.34(10%), to N2.55( 20%), to N2.76(30%)..currently it is about N2.81...and I know the percentage gained is currently above 30%...No time to calculate specifically the percentage hence i just rounded it up to 40%..Thanks for the correction notwithstanding. Okay, Sir. |

Born2berich: I don't see unity bank going above N3 IMO.
Currently, unity=40% vitafoam= let's wait and see as advised. How did you arrive at this figure? Right calculation should be a percentage of (current price - purchase price)/purchase price. @Passwelle already drew our attention to the fact that the lowest Unity has done is N2.13 and current price is N2.8x. Not out to ridicule but since you are the 2nd person claiming this figure, I think formula used to calculate profit should be clarified. Except you round-tripped (even at that sef, I doubt). |

Born2berich: @saibuhari, let me appeal to you as we all benefit from your stock picks..same with myjoy and many others who give out stock picks..Regard it as a selfless service you render to aid your fellow compatriots to make money. One thing I have learnt in life is that no matter how hard you try there must always be someone who always antagonizes your efforts but that doesn't mean you should stop. Please don't stop as we really need more of the picks from you and others...Without stock picks, there will be no NSEMPA.
Please reconsider your stance as from your previous comment, you have always been one of us.
@General, let's learn to respect people's opinions and motives, if it doesn't align with yours, just make your point and move on. No need to be garrulous and querulous with it.
Enjoy. I salute the courage of @Saibuhari, @MyJoy08 et al. I encourage them to keep it coming. But I don't think there's anything wrong in others criticizing picks (or raising red flags) if it is done in a civil way and not an attack on the moniker (eg disparaging comments aimed at the moniker). In fact, what I find surprising is bnsitl who can't tolerate objections to their picks. In my opinion, it is quite dangerous to place a mandate, without DD on a pick in NSEMPA. I'll bet some did on Vitafoam. If a member, after DD, raises a red flag. The act should not be taken in bad faith. @Zendi's reaction to @"Agba..something something" is a good example. Meanwhile, I had to do some study on the later's observation. Don't also rule out the fact that some picks might actually be MH truly. |

If you know, then tell me the last time they paid bonus since you know they have paid dividend for 30 years. Like I said then, time will tell. The bolded is the issue most times. It can sometimes degenerate if one of the parties involved is not an adult. |

Somebody should direct them to Comic section of Nairaland, which sure holds better promise for their jesting talent. Stock investing is for adults, not kids. GudluckIBB: Pls does anybody knows the possible price Nigerian police Micro finance bank will get to before markdown? Their qualification date is next week thursday Secondly, what's the diffrence between qualification date and closure date? Thank you I wish I knew o. Been hoping it would reach the N1.45 mark. Will sell next week, even though the N0.15k div is generous enough. "Closure of Register – Only shareholders who own shares before this date will be paid dividend. If you sell before this date you won’t get dividend. If you sell after you will still get dividend but the new owner will not get". ...Nairametrics The qualification date is the last date on which you must purchase a stock to benefit from any corporate action (pls confirm this) |
