Why? Find your way to government house in Ibadan to ask.....mscheeewwww
Would any of you care to share with us, the official business which took Madam Conqueror to in Hong Kong, Dubai, and Taipei? Mucho Gracias.
|
@ Oga Piecemeal, 1. In some of our NLrs lazy state of depraved mind, they fail to understand that even a average working class pps in Nigeria can send their children to secondary school abroad on some decent fees. I know of families that the wife and kids live in the US, yet the father is only obliged to send $1000 a month, both upkeep and other fees. 2. We have banks and fund managers here in Nigeria that can help you structure saving and loans to pursue foreign education, yet people think it's the exclusive preserve of the rich. That is why some people are in the top of their endeavours while others drool unnecessarily at their seeming failures. they find excuse for everything. 3.Even if they decide to send their children to schools abroad, whose business? Piecemeal: Nigerians concentrate on the wrong things....Gov. Ajimobi entered politics not as a recycled government thief but from top management in top Nigerian oil companies...if you work hard your own children can even do kindergarten in the uk...so face your own business, work hard and dream big...what the heck, there are very average people who have kids that go to school abroad...or if you or your child should win a scholarship to study abroad you will say no thanks....the curse of the poor is in the their poverty...thank God it isn't one of you ignorant people that are in governance...and if any PDP person is reading this...I will rather vote for the boys scout than vote a for a PDP government....to my fellow Nigerians...educate yourself with the highest standard possible...and who knows you might become that governor that all good Nigerians deserve.. |
@ Oga Dede1, 1. In what perspective should we put this moronic submission ![]() 2. If you like withdraw your children and put them in Al-majiri school to show your level of piety, na you sabi. 3. Honestly when Robert Kiyosaki gave the perspective of the rich about the poor as bunch of Intellectally and Physically lazy and jealous lots, I never knew NL was a strong reference point Dede1: Madam Ajimobi, what happened to secondary schools and universities your husband seems to support? Are the schools in your stated meant for children from Mars? ACN is a political party full of moronic ninnies. |
Elueme: I stand on the solid rock of Jesus Christ and all other grounds are sinking sand.1. Hope you know the consequences of staying on stupid assumptions even after PM. News has apologised 2. Tell me what is wrong with First Lady travelling with the governor with state funds Even if she's going on Holidays, she's entitled to the state sponsorship. If it's not right with you, please use your vote at the next election3. Other issue on passport is sensless as well. |
@ Oga ryom, 1. You don't need to add any embelishment. FACT = she was not invited for any friendly chat. 2. Your submission on a scenario that Mets discontinued on the premise of "public Interest" is in itself sensless. The rate at which you guys churn out sensless allusions beats my imagination. Is it that this is a skill? 3. She needs not declare her assets because of a Junk report. The Yoruba saying that "you don't go unclad, just to prove that you don't have rashes in your scrotum, when flasely accused so" comes to play here. ryom: There is a possibility she was 'invited for a friendly chat' if she had a large amount of declared cash on her. That is not the same thing as being arrested. It is also possible the Mets may have wanted to investigate further but subsequently deciding against this if they thought case was 'not in the public interest'. Overall, I suspect may have travelled with a large amount of declared cash. In the interest of probity, I would opine her excellency declared her UK assets, including bank balances with appropriate explanation of how these were acquired. That way the political detractors will be genuinely silenced as they will have to do same to match the pedestal. |
Abagworo: That soundsSo because she makes an 8-way official trip, ACN will loose southwest? Oga sir, I tried as much as possible to understand how you guys reason so senslessly? |
May be, but with the weight of false accusation is so strong, she has no choice but to put the matter to rest. At least even with the clarifications from PM News, some useless naysayers on NL are still coming up with some conspiracy theories and other allusions. \ I think she's being a transparent and matured woman. She is daring any other persons to prove her hard-earned integrty otherwise. Don't worry about her family affairs will be in the media if not in the media already thanks to the bloggers and softsell.
She sounds immature. I don't think she should disclose so much info about her private life, just to justify the fact that she is telling the truth. If she wasn't arrested, and the MET has confirmed it, that's it. No need for Passport Photocopy, and her telling the world about her 14 year old daughter in London... As a wise woman, your main duty is to protect your family, and keep things about your family affairs private.
|

I hate to say this, but Sir, ur post makes a whole lot of NONSENSE... ![]() I hate to say this, but Sir, ur post makes a whole lot of NONSENSE... I could be right and you never can tell. There could still be a bad egg among them and there is corruption everywhere even at the London MET and i want to believe there's no smoke without fire so how come today she's caught with loads of cash and tomorrow she's screaming how much she has conquered .Read between the lines people.
Each time we read in between the lines, we still find nonsense and more nonesense |
It's her business and non of yours. Ask your parents why they did not send you to secondary school in the UK.... IykeD: Guilty conscience ma'm! Who do you plan to deceive? Why should your kid(s) be in a secondary school in the UK? |
@ Oga Ninapha, 1. They don't know much and probably need some schooling in this area. 2. We are still part of Church of England in a way and we have a spiritual obligation to continue to pray, mediate and guide in all this..at least till we decide to finally leave them for good (if we so please) 3. Homosexuality is a seed we in the Church of Nigeria believe the devil has planted to destroy the church. We have not been pretencious with it, we have NEVER denied it and it is on record that no church has fought this battle in the world as much as the church of Nigeria. Unfortunately Homosexuality in the church has crept to all denominations. It's foolhardy to blame Catholics and Anglican. Ninapha: Na wah for una. What has okoh said wrong. Heaven is everybody's business. He said d right things. The onlything that is constant is change. Spiritual issues shd be handled spiritually not one governor appoint a bishop wheda anglican or not. One who supports homosextuality. If dat bishop is spiritually alive like Okoh, or has his own say i am sure that issue of homosextuality wd not pull thru. We are church of Nigeria and we can also decide not to host archbishop of canterbury. That is not to say we cannot meddle with the spiritual wellbeing of any church. Catholic or zion! Its only anglicans dat can stand and say what is amess. Sodom is happeneing in catholic but who born them to voice out when pope is God. |
@ Oga Kx, 1. I am not Catholic, but I do know all Parishes make recommendations in one way or the other. All Cardinals are part of the election process.... 2. "Leave the British Anglican Alone"- I am persudaded to support you there. I think the mistake we made during the days of Akinola was to rescind/delay the decision to of Final sessession for the Church of England. Kx: Go and open your own church, leave the British Anglican to do their thing. |
@Oga Nagoma, Even if you don't understand some things and operate from ignorance, please furnish yourself with better understanding from the article/report. The system is that all countries are required by the church of England to make recommendations to the 16-member commission. So what is embarrasing? nagoma: We are talking of the Archbishop of Caterbury not the Archbishop of Badagry for God's sake. Archbishop Okoh should save himself and others the embarrassment. |
1. I AM AN ANGLICAN 2. Yes. The Bishop of Canterbury is the head of the church. 3. What the Pope is? We don't run that form of setup. Infact each Bishop Is largely automous in his Diocese. afam4eva: Is the Archbishop of Canterbury to the Anglican church what the Pope is to the Catholic church? |
Our press men are lazy. They ask stupid questions. If you've been online, since the death of the Sister, you'll have known that they had no established heitage links with Nigeria, beyond their wanting to associate with Africa, hence naming the sister tt. It was on the simplest and easiest sites back then - Yahoo, MSN, Eurosports etc. Yet our pressmen still ask stupid questions. I am afraid of fallen standards in Nigeria. Fallen Education standard I can understand, but reasoning standard ![]() |
Oga, You've simply taken the wrong NL route..... purge yourself of the stu.pid ACN-must-die crusade and let it not lead you to the pit of foolishness. 234GT: Chai! I don yab the woman die o, unto say I no like ACN. |
Investigative Journalism my foot. They do nothing. They simply go online and replicate news. Sports Journalist are my major culprits since the 90s. When they carry allege transfer rumours like "JJ Okocha about to be signed by Chelsea" and days later Chelsea will deny ever having any discussion with any agent or any party..... take dat: If she was truly arrested, EFCC and Nigeria High Commission in the UK would have confirmed it. |
@ Oga Wizeboy, The question leads to other pertinent questions 1. Why are we so poor in researchin even on NL, that we regurgitate lots of questionable and dumb ascerssions and argue blindly and stu.pidly 2. Why have we been so lazy that we believe and perpertuate lies and falsehood before thinking thru it. A NLer on the earlier on that thread punctured the report with a simple analysis on the alleged travel frequency of Mrs. Ajimobi. That for the ascerssion to be true, Mrs. Ajimobi must have been travelling to London everyweekend at least- which is ridiculous, but many thoughtless NLers still went ahead with the jaundiced view of "there is an element of truth in every rumour" 3. Why do we get on unnecessary frenzy when with opportunity to pry into people's private lives and do damage. Wizeboy: Hmmmmmm.... Why are we so poor in researching to get an authentic information/report on a subject matter before broadcasting it, in this part of the world. |
@ Oga_doctokwus, You can't imagine the depth Nigeria press has sunk to lately. when OBJ told us he doesn't read Nigerian newspaper, we cricified him. when Fashola told Sowore and his crew that he doesn't rea Sahara Reporters, the guy went online the next hour to reign all sorts of indirect insults on him. My MD tells us he doen't talk to Nigerian press, infact Thisday is banned in my office for any advert placement or any media collaboration. May of these people have been so unproffessional and personal in many instances. Channels new carrying the death of Yar'Adua while the guy was still alive, now claiming the mistake came from a news agency they subscribed to. ThisDay and The Nation furnishing us with questionable surveys prior to Ondo elections just to help tacitly campaign for candidates of their choices...... With PM's lame excuse, it's all balderdash. Everybody knows an auto responder when they see one, how come a whole editorial team don't Please OYO STATE GOVERNMENT, REJECT THIS APOLOGY and PROCEED WITH THE LITIGATION. It is not for Oyo State or Mrs. Ajimobi alone. It is for sanity in our system. doctokwus: Its evn more annoying dat in dis day when evn primary sch kids in mushin can handle a computer to a reasonable extent,an auto response, which is common to decipher got a so called editorial team of a newspaper confused. Some pple are really determined 2 kp nigeria in d stone age.Glad never read d trash paper. |
I stay in Lagos and Never seen this as well. But you know NL now! People living in other places and far from Lagos (and some rubbish folks still dreaming of coming to Lagos)report things like they where there.... malele: Oga I stay in lagos, soldiers don't have time for that mess fashola wants to use them for pls |
Their rights to fiar hearing was put in place. Their unions were consulted and communicated as with all other transport unions when all these were in the offing. These guys are simply economical with the truth and playing to gullible people's sentiments. naptu2: My only concern with this policy is that the Lagos State Government should ensure that it protects the right of the Okada riders to fair hearing. |
I support this notion too. This is not sentiments, it is about sanity and sancity of our collective well being. How do you gather the broken and scattered egg? How do you delete all the viral spread of this false information. If the damages will cause them to sell off PM News, let it serve as a deterrent to others, else I can collect money from some unscrupulus character to destroy someones reputition only to offer lame appologies later on. peckhamboi: you go explain your apology in court. |
Oga Ndu_chucks, 1. We don't need to learn anything from El-Rufai on this matter. A state has decisively taken a decision and that is it. 2. Whether we like it or not, this is the law, it's been passed and it has come to stay. 3. Any of these aggrieved Okada ridders (99.9% non-tax paying, enjoying fruit of what taxes for you and I pay for, endagering people's lives, and making Lagos major roads eyesore) should take the path taken by most of the Nothern Okada riders. They went back to their villages in droves during Sallah break. 4. Lagos is not duty-bound to provide employment to people that troup into the state to look for greener pastures. I say it again and again. Lagos is not duty-bound to take care of those not recognized as having anything gainful to contribute to Lagos. A typical Hausa man in Mile12, or an Ibo man in Orile, Alaba, Ladipo, Eko, Suru Alaba etc are the people Fashola has business taking care of. They are the once contributing to development of Lagos. Okada riders are not. Let me also lend a voice to the useless notion on Akele - Akele 1. I want to understand that I'm not bound to follow someone just because he makes so much noise and less sense. Akele can claim antecedents to struggle for democracy like others, he can claim being a Gani disciple and all that....but when it comes to making sense and he falls flat, then he's lost me 2. The same Akele that could not articulate simple cogent points and reasoning together in a Governorship debate, and stating ridiculous logics and ascerssions......IGR from Coconut, flood Lagos roads with Market women - as his definition of social service etc. He's a misguided Marxist 3. Yes Fashola gave Okada rider helmet - It is stricly for safety dummies. It is not gift. It is for protecting lives 4. Yes Fashola solicited their votes prior to election - Who didn't? Must he now allow lawlessness and senseless acts to pervade and persist just because the Okada riders voted for him (I am still challenging anyone on NL to serve us the statistics of Okada riders that voted for Fashola. What is their number or Percentage )5. For me, since the custodian of Lagos State has decided that we want sanity, saftey and preservation of lives on our roads as a mantra - everybody is duty-bound to follow it. You are free to vote out ACN government and Vote in Okada riders party at the next election 6. On the issue of Fashola inviting soldier to Lagos to help arrest Okada riders.....I am not going to dignify a sen.seless ascertion with any response. I pray sane people on this forum do same
I don't understand why we unnecessarily like to reinvent the wheel. Nasir el Rufai successfully got rid of Okadas in Abuja without all the anger from Okada owners and riders alike, because he properly planned for the expected fallout from him actions. All Fashola had to do was invite the man for a visit and consultation. Akpabio of Akwa Ibom consults with Rufai regularly and we don't hear of anger from his employers, the people, like we do in Lagos. Fashola is losing the goodwill he enjoys from Nigerians very quickly.
|
If this is the singer...the trait is not far fetched. I remember when Late Bimbo Odukoya sang a special number in our church back in those days.... I was like who is this lovely singer, only to see her few days later as the pastor's wife of one of the churches on TV. Meanwhile this bride share both her parents looks, more like 50-50, mothers face and eyes, father's smile |
@Techwriter, 1. You beat me to this. 2. Even if Pastor Bimbo is smiling in heaven for her daughter, must be shedding tears for these lost girls. 3. With all the marriage counselling, is this what these girls got out of it ![]() 4. Abeg make we stick to our old traditional values.....No wonder my wife is so strick on our 7yr old daughter on dressing, comportment, sitting discipline and all dem traditional values. If we don't teach our kids from young age they just simply loose it. Techwriter: Congratulations!!! Soo good to know but some of those gals sitting with her should attend classes on how a CHRISTIAN lady should sit and com port herself. The late pastor I know wouldn't have subscribed to those skimpy outfits. |
It's actually about 2.5year, if you calculate it at the rate of 2 kano trips per week and 3 weeks trips per month and a week's rest.... realfreddy: Do you know what 300k kilometre is? Some of the drivers would have been long gone and buried before the trucks reach 300k. |
If you allow investors to go into bankruptcy like that you're killing your country and your people. Check; 1. When banking sector messed up, Federal government came to the rescue with intervention funds and AMCON taking all the bad debts. 2. The federal government is about to start about 4 airlines/national cariers to rejig the aviation industry 3. When the bubble burst on the global economy, each country did not "allow investors to go to bankruptcy", each government brought out huge money to help restart sectors like banking, manufacturing, insurance etc If there are no banks, no airlines, no manufacturing, no agric sectors to service the people etc what will the government govern ![]()
When investors mess up, they should be allowed to go into bankruptcy and regroup. Bail out ko, loot out ni. @Gbawe,I don't think you read all my posts. It is actually unreasonable to say that governments should not be involved in the Agric security of nations. The government has obvious roles. What I object to is the running of corporations by state governments in Nigeria - it breeds corruption, thieving officials, and former governors. Investors are not shying away from Agric as you stated, I gave the example of Olam Farms in Nisarawa. There are others.
|
My brother, What matters is that these kind of ventures are solving food crisis that will have deverstating impact in the next few years. Remember when even the investors messes up, it is still this same government that bails them out with tax payers money, so they are well within their right to rejig a failed business sector. |
@ Ndu_chucks 1. your simply twisting logic on it's head and also regurgitating some logic without putting it in proper perspective. You cannot not divorce government from business and investment. A responsible government takes initiative to drive/catalyze sectors that will positively impact on the people. 2. With all the lands in the country, how many private investors went into Agribusiness to sustain the present food gap. 3. Do you know that as far back in OBJ's day, the Chinese came here with a gaint ships for acelerated export of cassava, yet could hardly fill the ship on a single trip?(It is established that Nigeria is the largest producer of Cassava in the world, yet we are not producing up to 10% of the world demand )4. Do you know that in the last few months, certain cummulative factors have driven average food prices up by 200%? 5. Who told you Lagos state was going it alone Lagos is noted to be the foremost driver of PPP even much more than the federal government.6. Except we are lying to ourselves, you cannot divorce government from business. Even consulting firms like accenture had to rethink thier strategy few years back and started taking government contract. 7. The Minister of Agric, have been working with State governments that are serious in this area and these are some of the workings you're seeing. 8. For me, It is sheer intellectual laziness, to just jump into some warpped conclusions, without understanding the background and direction schemes like these are going. The Chinese, with there massive industrialization are one of the largest exporter of Apples, Fish, Buffalo milk for cheese etc. The Egyptians has 25% land, every other space is Nile and desert, yet they have much more food than us; not to talk of the Isreal, Zimbabwe, South Africa etc
You are completely wrong about the above sir. I totally agree that food security is important but I do not believe that the state should engage in Agribusiness under the guise of food security. The idea that if the states do not invest in Agriculture, people will starve is nonsensical and outright silly. Full scale farming and Agribusiness do not primarily use the manual labor required for subsistence farming. Professionals with degrees such as Agricultural Engineering are required for such. That the youth would prefer Okada instead of working as Agric workers indicates that you are misinformed about the business. Let me give you an example of what states and the Feds should be doing: Nasarawa state has just recently pledged to support a $90 million investment, projected to be Africa’s largest rice farm established by Olam Nigeria Limited. The farm will cover 10,000 hectares of fully irrigated commercial farm in Rukubi-Ondorie area of Doma in Nasarawa State. Companies such as Olam Farms should be the ones encouraged to farm in Ogun state and other places. Other states who are concerned about food security should emulate Nasarawa state. Companies such as Olam Nigeria Limited know the business and have a history of success. States have no business getting into such businesses.
|
Where were this innocent kids' parents when the Ajimobi's were working hard to make their money to be able to send their daughter to school in the UK. I think you guys should quit this useless defeatist sentiments. I intend to send my two kids to school in the US, I have the plan in place, it is my perogative....and I'm wondering when they start attending the schools God willing, someone will now say poor kids are going to pako schools. For God's sakes I'm making the sacrifice.......I guess Mrs. Ajimobi made the sacrifice years ago when it mattered and that is why she was able tos start sending her to school since 2007...... seedord247: Your daughter is schooling in london while millions of innocent kids are trecking to pako school everyday in oyo state.... |
I wonder your contradictory submissions. Answers to your questions are simple 1. What cushion effect are you talking about Is riding Okada on a designated highway lawful in the first place. 2. Intra-city rail? - Fashola is building it already 3. Please stop this trash about "he used them for election". I challenge someone to show me the stats of the number of Okada riders that voted. Truth is your vote is your franchise, you use it the way it best suits you. All this cry is senseless. 4. "May God help ACN in 2015" is a needless pray. We should be more concern about building credible and sustainable state, so that our children will not be born into chaos like Sudan, Mali, Somalia, Haiti etc It starts by refusing to right wrongs and ills of the society, and allowing destructive tendencies to persist under the guise that some people might be affected. james1: Banning okada is taking from people their means of livelihood but its a policy the LASG thinks is good for the overal good of the state. |
...then forward march to Abuja and go tell Jonathan... DANGOTEONE: I believe Air Transportation in Nigeria should also be banned because it has recorded the most death(s) in AN HOUR (more than 154 SOULS perished in an hour trip) than all other means of transport combined. |
It was when I read this, that I knew that an immature juvy is ranting..... thelastPope: Best for where? Don't let me even start! Most of you seat in VI and read the nation to form your opinion of Nigeria. The best governor in Nigeria is Godswill Akpabio by miles! When you go to Akwa ibom, you will now understand the meaning of the phrase "shaping the future". Fashola is just planting grass and flower. Before now, the best governor was Donald Duke! Ironically, both are PDP. |
