Firefire: Eight politicians with N232bn corruption cases working for Buhari’s re-election
Eniola Akinkuotu, Gbenro Adeoye, and Jesusegun Alagbe
At least eight out of the politicians working for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 2019 election have pending corruption cases worth N232bn, checks by Saturday PUNCH have revealed.
Investigation by our correspondents showed that the amount involved in the various graft cases, which are currently pending before security agencies, especially the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, range from N223m to N100bn for each of the politicians. Some of the eight politicians, who used to be members of the Peoples Democratic Party and other opposition parties, had allegedly defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress to stop the dangling axe of the EFCC and other security agencies from falling on them.
Specifically, the politicians who are currently either under probe or prosecution for allegedly diverting government funds have separately vowed to ensure Buhari remains in power untill 2023.
The eight politicians include the senator representing Nasarawa West at the National Assembly, Abdullahi Adamu; the senator representing Sokoto North and former Governor of Sokoto State, Aliyu Wamakko; ex-Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, who recently defected from the PDP to the APC; and a former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu.
Others are the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal; the former Governor of Rivers State and Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation in 2015, Rotimi Amaechi; the Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari; and former National Chairman of the PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff.
Abdullahi Adamu (N15bn)
For instance, Adamu, a serving senator and former Governor of Nasarawa State, is one of the President’s allies in the Senate. He is also a member of the National Advisory Committee of the Buhari 2019 Presidential Support Committee.
The lawmaker is being prosecuted alongside 18 others for allegedly stealing N15bn from the treasury through contracts awarded when he was governor for eight years.
His son, Nurianu, was also arraigned by the EFCC in January 2018 for alleged N90m fraud. However, the former governor has been one of the fiercest critics of Senate President Bukola Saraki.
According to Saraki, the former governor has been insulting him in order to get a soft landing.
Saraki had said in July, “I have deliberately ignored the antics of Senator Abdullahi Adamu, especially his constant media attacks on me and the Senate since the EFCC dusted his file on alleged case of corruption and also went ahead to arraign his son in court.”
Aliyu Wamakko (N15bn)
Senator Aliyu Wamakko is in charge of Buhari’s campaign in Sokoto State. A few weeks ago, he held a massive rally on behalf of Buhari in order to prove to the President that Governor Aminu Tambuwal’s defection would be of no effect.
Wamakko, who served as governor from 2007 to 2015, is under investigation over allegations of theft of public funds and money laundering totalling N15bn, an allegation he has vehemently denied.
Spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, had confirmed in April that the commission was investigating allegations contained in a petition against Wammako and that he would soon be invited to defend the allegations.
Godswill Akpabio (N100bn)
The former governor of Akwa Ibom State has been under probe by the EFCC for over three years based on allegations that he diverted over N100bn from the coffers of the state between 2007 and 2015.
Akpabio was welcomed into the APC by the President himself.
The former governor, who represents Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District, recently vowed that the APC would take over Akwa Ibom the way Adolph Hitler invaded Poland.
Akpabio, who on Friday travelled to China with the President is arguably the closest defector to Buhari and has vowed to do everything possible to ensure Buhari is re-elected.
Although he has been grilled by the EFCC, he has not been charged.
Orji Uzor Kalu (N3.2bn)
Kalu, who governed Abia State from 1999 to 2007, was one of the most influential politicians in the South-East during his time in government. After leaving the PDP, he formed the Progressive Peoples Alliance from where he contested and lost a senatorial election in 2015.
The following year, he defected to the APC and has paid several visits to the President since then.
Recently, he visited the President in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, where he was bestowed with the title, ‘Dan Baiwan Hausa’ by the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouq.
According to the emir, Kalu was bestowed with the title in appreciation of his “unwavering support for our son, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, Bayajida II .”
However, the former governor has been having a running legal battle with the EFCC since leaving office.
The EFCC alleged that Kalu and the others committed fraud between August 2001 and October 2005. It accused Kalu of utilising his company (Slok Nigeria Limited) to retain in the account of First Inland Bank, now First City Monument Bank, the sum of N200m.
The commission said that the sum formed part of funds illegally derived from the coffers of the Abia State government. The EFCC also said that the accused retained, in different bank accounts, about N2.5bn belonging to the state government, adding that he diverted about N3.2bn from the coffers of the same government.
Regardless of his travails, the former governor has insisted that he will do all within his power to ensure that Buhari is re-elected.
Babachir Lawal (N223m)
The immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, was accused by the Senate ad hoc Committee on Mounting Humanitarian Crisis in the North-East, led by Senator Shehu Sani, of awarding a N223m consultancy contract for the removal of invasive plant species in Komadugu, Yobe Water Channels to his company, Rholavision Engineering in contravention of Section 43(iii) and (iv) of the Public Procurement Act 2007.
A committee headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo subsequently investigated Lawal and recommended his dismissal in October 2017, a year after he was indicted by the Senate.
Although he is under probe by the EFCC, Babachir is among the key figures running Buhari’s re-election campaign in Adamawa State. He also revealed during a recent interview on Channels Television that he still had direct access to the President.
The former SGF has been having a leadership tussle with Governor Jibrilla Bindow over who should lead Buhari’s campaign in the state.
Rotimi Amaechi (N97bn)
Amaechi, who was the Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation in 2015, has been charged with the task of ensuring that Buhari is elected a second time.
The Minister of Transport, who is the face of the Buhari campaign, was indicted by the Justice George Omeregi-led Rivers State Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up to investigate the sale of state assets.
He and others were accused of allegedly misappropriating N97bn through the sale of the state valued assets.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, had alleged that $150m (N30bn at the time) was spent on Buhari’s campaign in 2015.
Amaechi challenged his indictment but lost at the Appeal Court. Although anti-graft agencies have refused to state if he is under investigation or not, he has yet to clear his name and is still under investigation by the state government.
The Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Emma Okah, insisted that Amaechi was not cleared by the panel that indicted him on the sale of some assets belonging to the state.
Also, a top official at the Government House in Port Harcourt, pointed out that at the last count on the matter, the former governor had gone to the Supreme Court.
An appeal filed by Amaechi against the Justice George Omereji-led panel was in May 2017 dismissed by the Appeal Court in Port HarCourt.
The Appeal Court had said that the refusal of Amaechi to appear before the panel amounted to self-denial.
But Okah said that the matter was currently at the Supreme Court.
“He (Amaechi) went to court against the panel and the matter is still in the Supreme Court. The state government has not cleared him on the matter concerning the sale of valued assets belonging to the state,” he said.
Amaechi could not be reached for comments, as he did not answer calls to his mobile phone.
A text message sent to him on the matter did not get any reply.
However, a senior official of the Federal Ministry of Transportation told our correspondent that the minister was out of the country.
The official, who also works directly with the minister, stated he (the official) was not aware of the said allegations against Amaechi.
“I have not seen it (the report) and can’t speak on it. However, the minister is in China right now,” the official, who pleaded to be anonymous, said.
Abdul’aziz Yari (N680m)
Yari has been engaged in a fierce battle with the EFCC for over a year following allegations that he diverted nearly N700m which formed part of the Paris Club refund due to his state.
In July last year, a Federal High Court in Abuja ordered an interim forfeiture of the sums of N500m and $500,000 (N180m) said to have been looted from the Paris Club refunds made by the Federal Government in favour of the 36 states of the federation.
The sums of money said to have been recovered from two firms, First Generation Mortgage Bank Limited, and Gosh Projects Limited, were allegedly linked to the governor.
The EFCC also alleged, in an affidavit filed in support of its ex parte application seeking the interim forfeiture of the sums of money, that the N500m was diverted to offset Yari’s personal loan obtained from the First Generation Mortgage Bank Limited.
In July, the Presidential Support Committee of Buhari 2019 appointed Sheriff as the director-general.
The National Secretary of the group, Kassim Kassim, said in a statement that the conglomerate of about 300 Buhari supporters’ groups unanimously endorsed Sheriff to lead the Presidential Support Committee, Buhari 2019 and not the Buhari’s Campaign Organisation for the 2019 election.
He said groups that made up the Presidential Support Committee were all registered with the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters.
Sheriff and others are under investigation for allegedly receiving N450m out of the N23bn ($115m) bribe allegedly disbursed by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, during the build-up to the 2015 elections.
He has been grilled several times by the EFCC but was never charged. His private jet was also impounded by the commission but later released to him.
Sagay, EFCC react
Speaking with our correspondent, the Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), said joining the President’s camp would not save any politician from probe or prosecution.
He said those whose cases had already been taken to court would continue to face prosecution.
Sagay, however, said there was room for plea bargain, an option he said stubborn people would never use.
He said, “I know Akpabio is still under probe and if he is found culpable, he would be invited and prosecuted. For me, the only import of him joining the President’s campaign is that he can be persuaded to make a plea bargain quickly, which everyone is entitled to, but the stubborn ones will not take that option
“As for allegations against Amaechi, he was indicted by a fake and useless judicial panel set up by Wike, who is himself under investigation for corruption. He set up a kangaroo panel, which Amaechi refused to answer to.”
When asked about the Appeal Court ruling which ordered Amaechi to answer to the panel, Sagay added, “he doesn’t have to answer to rubbish. Judges who allow themselves to engage in injustice deserve to be disregarded. Amaechi is innocent. All the charges were trumped up.”
Also speaking with our correspondent, the EFCC Spokesperson, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said joining the President’s camp would not translate to immunity from prosecution.
Uwujaren said, “The EFCC neither closes cases nor clears people. Also, being in the President’s party does not give anyone immunity from prosecution.”
Buhari, who later won the presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress had consistently accused the then ruling party, the PDP of engaging in mind-boggling corrupt practices.
“If Nigeria does not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria,” Buhari had said repeatedly during the build-up to the 2015 general elections.
However, no sooner had he been declared winner than some politicians from the same corrupt party began defecting to the President’s own party.
While some of the allegedly corrupt persons were kept at arm’s length, others became very close to the President, constantly appearing in pictures with the professed anti-corruption champion and sending mixed signals to Nigerians.
SERAP, CACOL react
The Executive Director of Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, Adetokunbo Mumuni, however, said it would be wrong to condemn the President for being supported by people alleged to be corrupt if there was no proof that he had prevented anti-corruption agencies from prosecuting such people.
He said, “Unless you want to tell me that the anti-corruption agencies will not do anything unless they are prompted or unless somebody says they should do it, I don’t want to believe rumours. Allegations must be backed by concrete evidence for it to be substantiated. I don’t want to think that somebody with convincing evidence against him will be prevented from facing the music simply because he supports the President. For example, Kalu still has his case in court.”
Similarly, the Executive Chairman, Centre for Anti-Corruption and Open Leadership, Mr. Debo Adeniran, said it would be wrong to presume people guilty because they have corruption allegations against them and that the President could not have stopped anyone from supporting him, in any case.
He said, “You can’t prevent sinners from going to a religious place, what you don’t have to allow is for them to take over the pulpit to preach the doctrine of the crimes that they have been committing. From our recent experience, defecting to the ruling party has not, in practical terms, stopped the trial of some of politicians. For instance, Kalu’s case is still in court.
“And as of now, Akpabio has yet to be convicted and until someone is convicted, you cannot say they have committed a crime. Even Kalu, whose case is in court, cannot be said to be guilty of the offence until he is convicted. So, it is a moral question and the moral suasion has its limit.”
But a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Onueze Okocha, said President Buhari was sending a dangerous and negative signal to Nigerians by allowing people with pending corruption cases to work for his re-election.
He said, “The whole thing sends a dangerous and unhappy signal to all of us that the so-called anti-corruption war is not whole. We can all see that only those in the opposition are mainly those investigated of corruption while those in the ruling party are regarded as sacred cows.
“It’s what we’ve always known; there is no effectiveness in the anti-corruption war. Look at Akpabio, for instance, shortly after he was elected to the Senate, the EFCC raided his house and found lots of cash. Now that he has defected to the APC, what happens to him?
“Babachir Lawal, though has been sacked, is still free to walk around. Look at the issue of fake N
ational Youth Service Corps certificate held by Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, all these tell us there are sacred cows in the anti-corruption war.”

Romance › Re: When You Take A Girl Out On A Date And This Happens by marvinsync(m): 12:16am On Sep 01, 2018 |
NickMarveyGroup: Seriously some girls can really be mean. I was in a fast food restaurant and a guy came in with a girl on a date.
They sat down and ordered food (half chicken with chips and salad 2 plates which cost N3,500 each.
The boy ate his meal wells and finished his chicken real good, but guess what the girl did not even eat up to half of the chicken and she said she was okay.
When they were about leaving I was thinking the girl would at least ask for a take away pack so you goes with the chicken because it was big ooo. But she just called the waiter and asked them to clear the table.
I could feel the pain in the guys face but obviously he had to hold himself so he paid and they just left.
Guys if it was you what will you do? dude don't be a fish the guy spent 7000 either way and besides do u want her to eat more than she can all so that she can please u? she wanted chicken and chips , now if the restaurant had smaller sizes available and she choose that size only to eat a small bite then that would be sick but u know Nigerian restaurants and their inflexibility . |

Travel › Re: How To Spend 4 Days & 3 Nights On The Obudu Mountains by marvinsync(m): 9:04pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
mantosa: When you go to Obudu, you’ll understand that the hills are really alive.
Despite the fact that it is called Obudu Plateau, it is actually located in the Obanliku local Government area which is about 60km from Obudu town. It is on these mountains that the famous cattle ranch was built.
To get to Obudu, there are two options as flights are not currently going there directly. You can either fly to Calabar and take a drive down for about 8-9 hours or you can fly into Enugu to cut the road trip down to 4 hours.
Once you get past the numerous checkpoints and bad roads along the way, you finally get to the plateaus and you are welcomed by the figure of a cow head perched on a ‘gate’. This is the beginning of many picture worthy moments as you are wowed by the mountains and the clouds that are within your reach.
Day 1
After arriving at the ranch and settling in your accommodation, have some lunch and begin your first activity of the day.
This is a tour of the Becheve nature reserve. This reserve is home to various plants/vegetation and also has a canopy walk.
At the end of the canopy walk, you climb a tower and you get to view the numerous plants available on the mountain and some mountain peaks are also highlighted.
The thrill really is the canopy walk and if you have mischievous people like I am, you’ll have some jumping and scaring the living daylight out of you.
After you get off the canopy walk, specifically asked to be taken to the Fern tree grove within the reserve. Some don’t get to visit but trust me it’s worth it. It’s almost like walking into an enchanted forest and has the most amazing white lilies. Not only are these lilies pretty to look at, they also smell divine. I likened the smell to talcum aka baby powder. There’s also a little river running through the middle and if you didn’t know any better you would think you were in a place right out of a fairy tale.
After walking round the enchanted forest, take a walk round the grounds of the resort built on the Obudu Mountains but before that, don’t forget to take a picture infront of the Becheve signage as a way to show you were really there. As you walk round, you will notice the facilities that belong to the resort – basketball courts, restaurant, steak house and more importantly, the locals.
You can end the night playing board games with your group if you packed some or just watch TV till you’re tired and you call it a night.
Day 2
If you’re a morning person, 6 am is the time to set out. This is to go bird watching. Obudu is home to various species from the yellow bird to the red long claw bird. During the sightseeing, you see the various accommodation options such as the mountain villas, African huts, the conference room and also the presidential villa which is perched at the top of a hill in all its glory.
The most exciting part about this is while looking for birds, you literally go through the jungle. Like someone in our group said, it was like walking into Jurassic park. It was just us, bushes, the sound of streams and the birds. A couple of people will fall on their ass because the soil might be wet but it made for a couple of laughs.
When you get out of the jungle, you realize you went in the middle of one mountain and came out of the other side. It’s astonishing because if anyone points out to you that you would walking in the middle of mountains, you would chime in that it’s impossible, but alas it can be done.
After coming out alive on the other side, take some pictures at the top of the mountain you’ve just conquered and head on home because remember, you haven’t had breakfast. However keep an eye out for the most amazing valley views. It was breathtaking. We all had to stop and marvel at its beauty. Just in case you’re wondering, it’s on the left side of the presidential lodge so now you can’t miss it. Thank me later.
While birdwatching seems like child’s play, it takes about 2 hours and if you’re a budding photography this could easily be 3 hours. So be ready to be on your feet for that long.
After birdwatching, head back and have breakfast, shower, gist, rest and then it’s time to head to the grotto falls.
Grotto falls is one of the many waterfalls in the mountains and probably the most famous. It has a resting point, a little pool and people often grill food there if they’re having a party. If you’re lucky, before you enter you’ll see a horse and a ride can be organized. You can have a picnic there but if you’re just there to see it, after about 20 minutes you’ll probably be itching to go. I don’t blame you, many more things await you.
One thing a lot of people don’t mention is that there are villages in the mountains and 7 of them are easily accessible. This means after grotto falls, you can do a tour of the village.
From Opaganza (banana village) to little Cape Town, you meet a variety of indigenes who are separated by streams or stones. These people are friendly. A few of them are skeptical about why you’re taking their pictures but in general they’re very welcoming. You’ll hardly pass a villager without hearing good day or ‘yangukle’.
During your walk through, make sure you buy something from them. It could be palm wine, bananas, ube (purple pear), corn, etc but by doing this, you’re contributing to their economy and empowering them.
After this, it’s time to head back home and enjoy evening. Besides you need to sleep early as the next day is about to be hectic but lit!
Day 3
Day 3 is the most exciting day. You will be walking in the clouds on a mission to see the border between Cameroon and Nigeria. Make sure you wear a swimsuit underneath your hiking clothes and pack a small towel in your back pack. You’ll see why later. Also, pack some water, carry your speakers and set off with your friends. This hike is intense but my oh my it’s so worth it. The excitement when you hear you’re 1603m above sea level is honestly next to none.
After crossing this personal best, you start to notice Fulani settlements. I couldn’t believe it, settlements at the top of the mountain? We were amazed.
However what was more amazing was that we entered the first settlement and the Fulani women welcomed us like they had been expecting us. We sat on their stools, they brought out nunu (yoghurt) and some meat. It was the most thoughtful thing ever and continues to add to the notion that don’t judge a tribe by everything you hear on the news.
Even if you don’t do anything while you’re in Obudu make sure you do that. After visiting the Fulanis and you step out, you start to see the Cameroonian Mountains and if the clouds aren’t there you’ll see all of them clearly. This will be your reward for being patient.
When all this is done, you can start your descent. For an extra treat, you take a different route which leads you to beautiful waterfall that not a lot of people know of. This means you have the whole place to yourself. The waterfall forms a natural pool at the bottom and if you’re a good swimmer, you should jump into into it. Trust me it’s safe as 4 of us did it and I’m here to share the story.
If you can’t swim, stay at the top which is nicknamed the kiddies section. The water is cold but it offers such a relief from the hike you just finished. I know I said seeing the Cameroun border is your reward but I lied. This is your real reward. You’ll be shocked that you jumped into a natural pool in Nigeria. I mean you only see these things on TV.
When you think you’re done, dry off and continue back home as you still have the Holy Mountain to go to.
The Holy Mountain is named so because apparently when the missionaries first went to Obudu this was where they camped. It’s also believed that if you pray there, your prayers will get answered. We all had one thing or the other that we need sorted out so why not just give it a try.
From the top of Holy Mountain, you see the waterfall you just jumped into and if you’re in no hurry, just sit there for a few minutes and soak in the beauty and magic that mountains and clouds create when they are put together; God is really the master artist.
It then starts to dawn on you that your time at Obudu is coming to an end. With a bit of sadness, you start to head back to your cabin but on the bright side, you’ll have a bonfire and barbeque which is the tradition.
The bonfire is filled with barbecued food from corn to plantain, ram to chicken. Drinks are flowing, music is blaring, spirits are high and it’s a way to end your Obudu trip with a bang.
The next day at 6am you depart to catch that 1.50 flight back to Lagos from Enugu airport. You leave with memories and pictures that will last a lifetime and you’ll also be able to boast of visiting Nigeria’s famous mountain ranges.
Now this isn’t just a story I’m telling, its based on my personal experience and because I love you guys, I decided to help you get the most out of your Obudu trip.
For accommodation, I stayed in a private cabin owned by the Obudu Conservation Centre. They are independent of the resort and their job is to protect the wildlife and plants on those mountains. I highly recommend their cabins as they give a vantage view and they are literally in the clouds. They all come with kitchens for each cabins, heaters in each room and a generator.
Holler at them or me and we can hook you up. So my question is, when are you off to Obudu?

Politics › Re: Buhari's China Trip Is To Plot Rigging Of 2019 Elections, Saraki’s Removal- Timi by marvinsync(m): 8:55pm On Aug 31, 2018 |
SteveAde123: Press release 31/8/2018
Buhari's China Trip is to Plot Rigging of 2019 elections, Saraki’s Removal, alleges Timi Frank
Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has faulted a trip to China on Friday by President Muhammadu Buhari and his party men under the guise of participating in the 7th Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Frank in a statement in Abuja described the trip as a decoy to plot how to rig the 2019 general elections in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and also perfect the renewed plot to remove the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
He insisted that the President has once again demonstrated his intolerance for members of the opposition political parties by only selecting APC Governors and other party cronies for the trip instead of availing competent businessmen and women of the opportunity to attend the FOCAC Summit irrespective of their party affiliations.
Recall that the Presidency had on Thursday released names of APC Governors, Senators and cabinet members who will be on the President’s entourage to include Governors Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, Akinwunmi Ambode, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar and Rochas Anayo Okorocha of Bauchi, Lagos, Jigawa and Imo States respectively. Others are Senators Abdullahi Adamu, George Akume, Godswill Akpabio and Aliyu Wamakko representing Nasarawa, Benue, Akwa Ibom and Sokoto States respectively. Also accompanying the President are: the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister of FCT, Muhammad Bello; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah; Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma; Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman Adamu; Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, and Minister of State, Aviation, Hadi Sirika. Others are the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; the Director General, National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Abubakar; and the Group Managing Director, NNPC, Maikanti Baru.
But while querying the entourage in a statement on Friday, Comrade Frank said the trip could not have been in the interest of Nigeria but that of the ruling APC on how to rig the 2019 general elections and perfect plans to effect change of leadership in the Senate.
Frank challenged the Presidency to tell Nigerians why only APC Governors, Senators, Ministers and others were selected for the trip if not "to perfect their plot evil against Nigeria's democracy?”
"Nigerians will recall that during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, no such trip was made without the presence of opposition Governors and Lawmakers.
"Although, President Buhari too has traveled to foreign trips with opposition governors and Senators before now but the make up of the entourage for the current trip casts doubt on the true intent of selecting these points men of Buhari for the FOCAC Summit in China.
"Our sources around the Presidency have also confirmed to us that the plot to perfect the plot to rig the 2019 elections and the removal of Bukola Saraki as Senate President is responsible for the exclusion of opposition elements from the current trip.
"In an official business trip to China where business opportunities abound, one will expect a tolerant government to travel along with foremost Nigerian businessmen and women and not party cronies or leaders of the APC’s cabal in the Senate like Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Godswill Apabio who are anti-Saraki's leadership.
“The very composition of the entourage which include heads of elite security agencies, and top brass of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) - the money pot of the country - betrays the hidden agenda of the Presidency on this trip.”
Frank, however called on Nigerians, right groups and leaders of thought to speak up on how the current administration is using the country’s resources to fund private political meetings disguised as ‘official trip’ on how to subvert the rule of law, remove Saraki and undermine the nation’s democracy in a far away country.
Signed: Comrade Timi Frank Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary Abuja damn how can someone be soo fooolish! chai we have suffered ! |

All the poor masses ask for is basic things. Steady light..so that see in the dark, so that they can have water to drink and cook and use for other basic things to avoid spending much from their little pocket.
Free education,or minimised education fee so that the poor masses can have equal chance as their own kids to go to quality school.
Build enough factories and industries so they their would be employment for the masses.
Are these things too much to ask for from a rich country like Nigeria? no!
But rather They pack the money in bags to themselves. Send their kids to school abroad and even use the money to intimidate and turn young poor desperate gals into sex slaves. And other sorts of evil. So My dear there is nothing to encouraged any reasonable person to vote again.
I'm not talking about myself but for the masses in general. Atleast by Gods grace I'm from an above average family. I know what ur saying and I get it but what I'm saying is these things don't happen like magic they take time , u can't see people living in bushes and caves n give them technology and systems that took centuries of knowledge and experience to create and then expect these people to just use them and become a great nation just like urs is overall my point is don't give up just we didn't just become great automatically like robots let's say u didn't get all that ,get this the only way Nigeria can improve is if a good leader is put in and the only way a good leader will be put in is if he/she is voted in thats is, u have to vote cause if u don't who will ?! issa simple stuvs |

9jvirgin: Beauty Pageants should be banned in Nigeria, it is one of the most corrupt industries in Nigeria, even Nigerian lecturers are learning from them when it comes to destroying young girls' lives.
A lot of young girls have been blackmailed, cucumberized, sodomized, raped, and fvcked silly because of this nonsense.
#endpageantsnigeria what an incredibly stupid thing to say |

Butterflyleo: Wailers above me are clearly brain dead
The UK are talking about returning LOOTED MONIES from Nigeria which the previous government of PDP looted and now for this FG the UK are talking about returning them.
Compare both.
PDP/ GEJ = looted and stashed in UK
APC/ PMB = looted funds now being returned from UK
The UK is simple trying to be cautious because even for them, the 16 years of PDP mismanaging and looting from Nigeria is hard to forget
This is a new administration and this report by the OP is old because 70 million pounds of looted funds traced to GEJ/ Dan Etete and Diezani malabu scandal has been returned and more loot are coming.
An estimated 650 million pounds of looted money under GEJ will be returned by UK .
Engineerboat do you see the mess your PDP caused to Nigeria?
Jonathan authorized those payments to be made to Malabus private account.
PDP aka looters incorporated! 70 million pounds ! 650 million pounds! such big numbers can u give me more details about these news I wanna research or better still give me a link to the story |

tossie101: The ones I have been voting and still complain over the years nko?. Voting is importing because its a civil right. But..,..NOT IN NIGERIA listen ... do u think that Nigeria is somehow special?! like we some how very bad Nigeria is a relatively new country! , check out how China was 300 years ago ?! listen all countries in the world went through sh!t in the beginning , do u know how many times America has fallen into RECESSION , do u know how many times France and UK have had issues , theyve experienced hellish wars , lord have mercy , do u know how many wars the UK has experienced over the centuries ?! compared to them Nigeria is a baby , I'm not tryna give excuses but think about it for a second , do u honestly think that after Nigeria got independence it would just suddenly become successful and a progressive nation?! , look at every other colonized country in the world they are all going through sh!t the first world countries are countries that have been existing for a very long time ,in fact u could almost say every third world country is a colonized country my point is this Nigeria is slowly but SURELY improving , just think about it , with the improvement of social media and such , steps are being taken ,things are happening , now we have a not too young to run bill , young candidates are stepping out , it's progress! ,one day Nigeria would have a solid leader and we'll progress but we must not give up , we must keep voting for the right people cause if we don't how else will they get there and how else would Nigeria get better or don't u want Nigeria to get better? I wanna see a better Nigeria ! just keep voting!!! |

Ballmer: but a whole generation of Igbo suffering from dementia blame Buhari for the war. That is what hatred does to one soul. May God help the Igbo tribe and free it from hate.
Na only dem hausa Fulani Yoruba Kanuri Muslims Singaporeans Malaysian South Africans Kenyans Chinese Arabs n many more de hate but they’d blame everyone else for hating them instead of looking inward to cure their souls of inhereted hate. wow just how ignorant can u be? I'm Igbo and all these u said is nonsense and we don't HATE people trust me , if u really know Igbo people ull know we don't carry hate around with the way we speak and all , we only protest and complain about a lot of things because a lot of things are wrong. those who u could say are capable of hate are those that are the greatest killers ever , which tribe in Nigeria do u think has killed another tribe the most ?! yes! that's right , the fulani/Hausa ! no tribe has committed mass murder like these guys , u can't commit murder like that without having a ton of hatred within u , if we igbos hated the Fulani/Hausa like u said can u blame us? they've killed us the most! but the thing is we don't even hate them, we even fight among our Yoruba brothers than we do them , do u know why? because what's the point of hating beggers and shoemakers and gatemen?! they're so insignificant that it's a waste of time! |

Romance › Re: After Planning Our Wedding For 3 Years, they Say I Am Not Wife Material by marvinsync(m): 12:30am On Aug 30, 2018 |
Beke2020: Dear Jzhane,
Please hide my ID.
I am very hurt. My wedding was supposed to take place last Saturday but it was called off without any explanation.
I met my man through my mother’s friend based aboard three years ago. We had our marriage introduction 2016 and we planned the wedding for April 2017 but sister was like we should postpone it reason is that for the brother to come down to Nigeria that the UK embassy don’t take absent of a spouse because they wanted to do it in his absent.
He begged me to wait that I should please bear with him it was not easy for me because already I have told people about my wedding and the date.
My ex has four sisters and they are kind of very close so involved them in everything he wants to do which I don’t have problem with that. His mum accepted me and me I love her took care of her like my mother even the sister who is out of marriage is staying with her mum with four children I love her too.
Fast forward to when the date was pick which is 25 of August that we started having issues.
It was his sisters that shopped for my wedding things which I complain that I don’t like the color ,they said the list I gave them was too expensive which is the hall and food ,I got a hall of #160 they got a hall of #300k near their house not even the bride side I never complain ,they said after the wedding I will stay with mother in law and sister which I said no due to distance and the nature of my work.
The worst of all that happened is that my ex was telling his sisters every thing we discussed both the argument and my chat he was forwarding it to them. His sister in Nigeria was telling them all manners of lies against me and they believed her.
They put pressure and fear on him not to marry me he has to call off the wedding after buying things for the wedding. He is around in Nigeria now and I try to see him but his family are refusing me seeing him because I don’t have his Nigeria ‘s no.
I was told that he said he love me but he scared based on what they told him. That I am not a wife material. That I will control him and drive him out because he stays in US.
My mother has been begging them but they refuse to listen. He even blocked me since then. His cousin told me they already found another girl for him.
What do I do,I dated this guy for three years. I love him. I already have done introduction. Everybody knows I am supposed to be getting married. The scandal is killing my parents. If this guy still loves me,how do I win him back? He never gave a chance to explain myself. What did I do wrong?
Or should I really move on? After three years? Where do I start from?
https://livelystones.com.ng/after-planning-our-wedding-for-3-yearsthey-say-i-am-not-wife-material/ now if the guy feels scared of u then he should get to know u , like ask for a simple date or an outing , but if ur cousin is right and they already got another woman for him and he's the kind of 21st century idiot that marries anyone mummy brings for him then let the fool go! it's painful but remember it wasn't only u that wasted 3 years of ur life !!! he did to and he even wasted money think about that! in other words try what u can , and remember it's not by force , ull get over it . |

SolutionMee: Nigeria needs to start creating 50,000 new jobs per day to keep employment rate at it's current level
What's the way forward my dear country?
Are we going to continue like this for the next decade?
And note that even if we have visionary leaders like Obama, Putin and Trump, Nigeria won't still work
Our problem as a nation is a collective development with our leaders sharing less than 10% of the overall inputs
Until we change our mindset, priorities, passion, fantasies, exposures, adventures, mental orientations, intellectual sophistications, psychological advancements, emotional inadequacies, social imbalances, religious approach, technological worldview and scientific inclinations, we are not going anywhere
We joke with almost everything that happens to us as a nation
We politicized everything
A President just called our President lifeless and instead of being sad and showing sobber reflection, we're busy hailing him and castigating our own
We're also the most confused people still living on this planet
You want Buhari to be out of office and go back to Daura but according to you
Saraki is corrupt, Atiku is a looter, Tambuwal is politically confused, Donald Duke is just wasting his time
You want the youth to take over but according to you
Sowore that can't even win an LGA election or even an SUG election
You're just being indecisive and quite irritating to the rest of the Western world
Start getting your priorities right and stop engaging in unnecessary inenarrable protest on social media
You can't vote in an illiterate into office and expect the performance of Clinton
#GetItRight guy I swear I wish I could just find u and shake u and give u a million dollars for this words we are just sooooo confused ! why?! |

Not all his preachings and analysis are correct. He is over stressing and empathizing too much that everyone shun him off now. Remember God said do not judge, I personally know the fakes and the reals but I do not dare judge anybody. dude read what I said very well I said " tithes have NOW become compulsory yet Jesus never preached about them " what I meant is that tithes are not supposed to be compulsory and what do u mean he is over emphasizing? compared to the way pastors are emphasizing on tithes and sowing seeds what he is doing is nothing! and of course he can't be correct all the time ,no one can and what do u mean by " God said no one should JUDGE". did God say so himself or did a person in the Bible , and we aren't judging them we are CRITICIZING and u might personally know the difference between the real and fakes but a lot of people out there dont that's what freeze is trying to solve with his "free the sheeple " organisation |
