Lip service journalism. As if we've not been seeing thousands of people everyday at the campaigns without face masks. |
'Divided like never before' was what Prof said and of course, almost everyone is suspicious of the north over their killer Fulani, boko haram and islamization plots. Likewise the south is disunited over 2023 and many will settle for the country to be restructured (literally divided) at least to free all from a continuation of the current Islamic cabal-run government come 2023. |
Are they going to be tried in their Sharia courts? |
Whitecoal711:I also read gravel, silica sand and limestone? ![]() As for Uranium, I'm sure it's 'audio'. By the way, the Niger republic has been mining Uranium for more than 50 years. We also started importing petrol from them. https://orano.group/en/nuclear-expertise/orano's-sites-around-the-world/uranium-mines/niger/mining-sites http://www.industriall-union.org/mine-closure-huge-blow-to-workers https://m.guardian.ng/news/niger-exports-fuel-to-nigeria-as-egypt-algeria-build-13-refineries/ So what's wrong with Nigeria? |
415volt:Did the military lie when it claimed on TV there was a shoot-out? |
MyVILLAGEpeople:This is just a TV show and it's not indicative of the standard of living or the quality of governance in Ghana. It's all about concept and values. There are no laws sayings house mates must live in luxury. Here, we seem to put a lot of value on luxury and non-issues. For those boasting about hostels in Nigeria, there was a time tourists in Accra used to stay in hostels at the University of Ghana instead of patronising hotels. I know first hand, that their facilities are far better than what you get in Nigerian universities. |
allthingsgood:I just can't make any sense out of these sentences. What's he trying to say happened in 1999? |
One former governor, Yerima, led the the North in selling Sharia to their people. Now its up to the national assembly to address the fact that faith is personal and initiate moves to change our constitution accordingly |

Thank God it's got nothing to do with any stupid prophecy. Good news is Messi could soon be legitimately earning over £1m per week. That would be more than Buhari''s salary per decade |
I see a lot of if's in these fake phophecies. The reasons are obvious |
Nigerians been into prostitution, 419, yahoo yahoo, ritual killing and human trafficking in Ghana since the beginning of this century. Unlike us, Ghanaians have good leaders and they need to protect their country |
SmartPolician:Buhari should at least talk. The country is getting divided by the day |
These northern elders know very well that review of the constitution is a continuous process. They should allow the senate do its job. |
JidennaJason:Well said |
Brooklynsouth:Tinubu and Peter Obi need not speak on this matter as Sharia remains one of the many retrogressive agendas of the Northern leaders, Atiku inclusive. Let's pray the Northern masses themselves wake up one day. Meanwhile, the singer did what he did knowing the consequences and Ganduje will sure kill him to make a statement. Unfortunately, the educated Northern lawyers who should be part of the change process in that region are afraid. Many are hypocrites and are the same religious bigots who just formed the N-NBA in protest of a far more minor issue. |
Buhari is deliberately failing Nigeria. In another news, one singer is about to be hanged in the name of Sharia in Kano for crime against nobody but because of his faith and belief. Meanwhile, repentant Boko Haram fighters who have killed in thousands are being pardoned. Is total sharia for Nigeria not what Boko Haram is all about? |
You're so on point. Don't be surprised that Bubu is smarter than this VP. Even if the latter was to be a complete dullard, one would expect a professor and a pastor in RCCG to know how to make the president see reason in the yearnings of Nigerians for a better country per their campaign promises. Anyway, I heard the VP is good at debates. But talk is cheap at this very time we find ourselves redsun: |
A government that can't restructure education. That can't provide mass housing for it's people. A government that's still paying lip service to the completion of major power, iron, steel, aluminum smelting and road projects in Nigeria? How can building a bridge be an achievement for a government whose principal officers and associates still go overseas for medical care even in this Covid 19 era? |
So the police released them after arrest? Now the cultists will go for the head of the pastor. Can the police be sued for their irresponsible reckless act that cost the lives of this couple and put the future of the children left behind in jeopardy? Police probably released the criminals back into the society and leaked the identity of the pastor informant for money. Kingpele: |
Too much noise instead of focussing on questions that will quickly lead to nabbing the guy's oga or other accomplices before they take off |
Hmm, so youths from Buhari's state now reject him?. Seems to buttress the theory that Nigerians are dealing with a proxy president who's simply programmed to *Destroy Nigeria & the APC *Reduce the influence of main party members who contributed to Buhari's emergence in 2015 *Ensure a Northern succession agenda as against power rotation come 2023; to cover their tracks *Sustain killings and Boko Haram through which the cabal loots in billions of dollars It's really sad but hope we're proven wrong if Buhari dare sack the service chiefs before 2023. |
The composition of that letter is definitely an embarrassment to the law profession. Meanwhile, the outgoing NBA executive have proven not to be above board themselves. They intentionally invited many unnecessary speakers who won't be speaking to the truth at the conference. It's a shame |
Thank you for this wonderful piece! FrLukas: |
Oshiomole's ways are crude but he's the best governor Edo state has had since 1999. Coincidentally, Obaseki had a role in his government and both should be proud that their team turned Benin from a village into a city. Before them, Lucky Igbinedion's performance as a PDP governor was so abysmal and ordinarily; Edo people shouldn't want to go back to those dark days of PDP. Truth is, if Obaseki had emerged as APC's flag bearer, the same PDP he is in today would have been talking about his tricky credentials and performance. Obaseki erred not only by suspending hs benefactor from the party (Imagine Sanwoolu doing same to Tinubu), he goofed by refusing to swear-in duly elected representatives of the people. Then, he won't patronise his party people and spent quality time either dismantling the structure that brought him to power or rubbishing achievements he was part of. At his campaigns, one is surprised he's still making promises after being in office for 4 years. Godfatherism is bad but why has Obaseki not set traps for Oshiomole and kept hard facts with which to nail him for asking for the keys to the state's treasury? Apart from that, is the best way of making godfathers lose relevance not by working your way into the hearts of the people? The likes of Fashola, Amaechi, Wike, Peter Obi and Akpabio didn't have to invent stories about their performances as governors. Ambode was equally an above-average governor who did visible things in a short period. Nevertheless, with Obaseki having the almighty governor Wike on his side, I think the chances are very close at say 55/45, but in favour of the APC candidate. |
Here is an illiterate governor who didn't even know how to steal and was rather moving money directly from government coffers into his personal and company accounts. It's probably for this kind of politicians that the AGF made Magu the fall guy |
Lies. The place has always been 90% completed. The truth is the place will never be completed. https://www.thecable.ng/ajaokuta-steel-plant-90-complete-says-ben-bruce Meanwhile, Ajaokuta has a Central Maintenance facility comprising of a foundry, forge shop, machine shops and fabrication unit which can be commercialised. I know of a company that once gave them a job which should ordinarily take a few days to complete but surprisingly, it took them over 9 months to do the job. The place is currently being run like a typical ministry and by civil servants. What the place needs to move are patriotic government policies, as well as business & engineering ideas. Not more money, at least for now. |
Though statistics are unreliable in Nigeria, there are private owned cement plants, quarries, oil palms plantatis, a gas plant or two, a brewery, a couple of oil fields, an upcomig refinery owned by AIPCC etc. in Edo state. The unemployment rate could really be that low but the underemployment rate could also be much higher. As such, the real selling point for Obaseki should have been what exactly he did to bring down unemployment and in which productive sectors he is putting efforts. Creating employment is mainly about businesses |
Politicians fail to learn. Fom this video, it's obvious Obaseki did nothing tangible for that community in the last three and a half years. At least, if you know you'll come back to a people for votes after your first term, then you should know to do a little for them in your own selfish interest. Crowd is less than 1000 people and this is what Obaseki faces in many places he goes. Unfortunately, the rogue party people probably collected money in advance from Obaseki for this defection to happen. |
This is lazy journalism coming from Independent as Tinubu's statement had nothing to do with Obasanjo, Rather, he only made a general statement based on the late politician's perceived unsavoury reputation in an era where majority will be happy to see all of today's politicians die of covid 19. Shouldn't journalists know how to separate facts from personal opinions? By the way, there's a lot to Investigate and report on Southern Kaduna, NE, NW, boko haram, Edo, wasteful oil exploration in the North, Hausa Fulani presidency in 2023, Buhari's seeming fear of the service chiefs, developments on the almajairi practice, sharia etc. The list is endless. So there's no need for boring sensational headlines |
Please, can anyone interpret what the governor meant by: “It is a complete sabotage… I cannot end my interview without clearly stating what happened yesterday. As far as I am concerned, there was no Boko Haram yesterday (Wednesday). It was a serious shooting by the Nigerian armed forces while ‘residing’ in Baga. The situation is very embarrassing.” Is he trying to say it was the army that opened fire on his convoy and did he not inform the military hierarchy before driving into the dangerous territory? Or is the governor just seeking attention? |
You got it wrong bro. Buhari is doing all of this on purpose just like other Northern leaders have kept their own people perpetually poor in the name of religion. Remember, he's retained the weak military chiefs to demoralise the troops and embolden Boko Haram. He's also kept mute while his direct reports at NDDC and the minister of Niger Delta have admitted stealing billions and still put up a serious show of shame. You can also see from his appointments that he's a chronic tribalist and religious bigot. Only a few weeks ago, this same evil president was proud to celebrate artisans mining gold in the North whereas artisans are not allowed to drill oil nor refine same in the Niger Delta. You can also imagine a government that's claiming to be reconstructing the NE at a time the war is at it's peak. Who rebuilds a house when it's still on fire. Buhari is indeed the devil itself and he's only preparing Nigeria for full takeover by ISIS. In his path, he's destroying APC so that the likes of Tinubu and other Southern leaders won't have a platform on which to run so power remains with his people perhaps on the platform of PDP. Already, the North is a fertile ground for ISIS and other Islamic terrorists because of their Alamajarai and Sharia practices. Buhari has now got NNPC prospecting for oil in the NE and building a gas pipeline to the North. All these are primarily for tribal interests and then the grand scheme to make easy crude and gas available for their Islamic agenda at the appropriate time. Nigeria's problems are not complex and you must have seen the difference when Osinbajo briefly acted as the president. Buhari's government is just out to deliberately get everything wrong and put this country in more and crisis. Unfortunately, they are succeeding. Skyfornia: |
