The card is real as well as the logistics company, Speedaf. Just that the Speedaf people have a terrible service. Opay really need to drop them. I had a very bad experience too before they delivered my card in Abuja. I went to their office, got rebuked for coming late and still didn't get it. I literally had to beg the guy to come and deliver it. |
Which job are you offering that requires people to login their Facebook username and password before applying? You will just seat down somewhere and start inventing new ways to hack innocent people's social media profiles. Naso one dey ask of Nairaland username and password yesterday for one kind yeye verification. |
Greetings. First, how does business in Abuja (especially electrical sales) move in Abuja? Abuja is a ready business city. There are lots of building construction projects going on here and there and are such, a big market for electrical components Second, where do you advice me to look for shop? In the mkt or on the streets? I would suggest you focus on one of the villages within the city. There are lots of them. Mpape, Apo (from Primary side downwards to kabusa), jahi, Karimo, lots and lots of villages that are surrounded by estates. Then the suburbs like Jikwoyi, Karu, Suleja, extreme parts of Lugbe are emerging business hotspots. You have to move around and look for a suitable one Third, what do you think is the price range of shops or plazas in the market and in the streets. Personally I would say shops are very expensive in Abuja. it will cost you some serious millions of naira to get a high brow location in the city. The truth is that the high brow areas ( Wuse2, Maitama, Asokoro, etc) are not really business friendly as they are not densely populated and you pay alot. But if you pick up a place in parts I've listed, you will get moderate offers Forth, how much is a room self con in Abuja or environs. Depending on the location you choose. But compare rates online. I'm not into real estate Fifth, what about the cost of feeding and electricity? Cost of feeding is moderate. If you're cooking your food, it's less expensive. Also if eating out, the grade varies with price, but still affordable. There is always light in most parts of the city, so that corresponds to high electricity cost. Don't consider anywhere without 24hours light for your business. Best wishes. |
It's sad when religious leaders use their exalted office for cheap political gains. Brown envelopes and the likes. Gone are the days where you go to Church to hear about holiness, righteous living and preparation for heaven. Nowadays, priests and pastors are either campaigning from the altar, milking your pockets dry through one commitment or another, or telling you not to be friends with poor people like that Funke Felix-Adejumo woman. |
This idi0t has really been relegated to the back seat. After his boss clamped down on Twitter where he occasionally dishes out his usual bullshit and his failed attempt at replicating it via Crowwie or wetin self, he now wants to use NK to ride back to relevance. Just sad! |
Run oo... Google is your best friend. All these quasi paramilitary wannabes like Peace corps and this one is just a pipe dream and opportunity for some people to cash out. Unless you have money to waste, go for it. Remember to update us on Nairaland when it happens anyway, if you insist. |
Get your colleagues own and take to a very good business center that can replicate it exactly, with your Passport and matrix number. That's just like 1,500. Problem solved |
Where did they fail in increasing the price of pure water? Because we buy at 20 naira in Abuja and 250 per bag |
Do you ever see CNN, BBC, FOX NEWS or even Aljazeera put up sign language interpreter for their news? Or are you saying that they don't operate from inclusive countries? I wonder how these people generate these mediocre ideas on a daily basis. You want to turn Arise and channels news to NTA, how will that fit into their quality? You're marginalizing a whole region, it's now about 0.05% of Nigeria's population that you now want to include. Shioor! |
The same thing happened to me last month. I resigned on the 28th and my salary was ceased. After a lot of back and forth with the HR department, half of my salary was released. You should know if you didn't leave a formal one month notification in the private sector of your departure, you are liable to have this happen. Just don't break the bridge as you leave. You will still need their recommendation someday, unknowingly. If you will have to let go, please do. Bright side, you're still employed. |

Gentlerespect76:some pipu self.. dem give u this kind of ppa, you no rejoice? how I take affect your salary? Instead of you to go hustle your own way and still chop Buhari's national cake... you come dey post pictures for internet. shoooo ![]() |
Is it about frying Akara on the street or her adventures in Dubai? |
Despise not the days of little beginning bro. But honestly, keep looking out for more opportunities. 30k with Masters degree? You deserve better. But even if you had started teaching since your first degree, you would have had higher chances of a better pay. Experience counts more than certificate acquisition in today's Nigeria. Also consider relocating |
In all these, one truth still stands out. Yorubaland will be the region that will herald a better and a prosperous nation, either Nigeria or whatever new name it adopts. The level of banditry in the north is at appalling levels. Children no longer go to school again, communities have no light, mobile phone network, etc. East is burning, dead Igbo people are littering the ground, crying for justice from the hands of their fellow Igbo killers. Businesses are paralysed. The South south is sleeping on, with filthy, corrupt leaders. They are all not getting it. When all of your eyes open, you will weep bitterly like the Biblical Esau who sold his birthright over a morsel of porridge. Keep fighting a senseless war today. The tools of diplomacy, compromise and good old common sense are a rare breed these days. |
Wait oo, bros, you must have the heart of a lion. Someone needs to be afraid of you on a normal day. You mean you killed this monster at night without gun or a bomb, just casually ![]() |

So what point has he proven with the visit? Other than rubbing it off the inhabitants of the house? It's sad that since that many years he spent away from the house, the only ''improvement'' was the pipe borne water stopped working. Even the obvious lack of painting is still intact. The global inequality problem is our greatest divide and it's much worse in Africa. How about Dele Momodu renovates the house, builds them a solar borehole, sponsord their poor children to school?? |
In all honesty, I think this should not be a big issue. I'm sure the Abuja congregation rented the limo out of the need to honour a VIP guest and Pastor Kumuyi doesn't have to reject such honor which was actually unplanned and an actual surprise. One of the few untainted men of God in this country is still Pastor Kumuyi, Lazarus and Olukoya. They are not corrupted by money. Let's criticise with sense! |
So literally, they returned back home with "itiiju" after messing the country up and going to New York to lie and to beg for alms. The evil that men does live after them! |
In all honesty, it should not be in the purview of government to build estates for the rich. There are more important issues relating to the development of Akwa Ibom people like schools and health centers at the hinterlands. Just like the massive stadiums their government is building all over the place that are used like 6 times in a year. The other time I was in Ikot Ekpene (this year), the top-notch hotel erected there was literally rotting away. I doubt if it was operational. In this age of cash crunch and in a post-covid era, wisdom to judiciously allocate scarce resources matter alot. |
I have nothing to say. |
Is this a Bible study or political editorial? Because it's a very thin line that has separated the two. Anyway, since FFK said it was the spirit of God that instructed him to join the demonic APC, it must be a thing of fashion to manipulate religious views to suit your bidding. That's one of the strong points of APC, which is why they got Redeemed, the largest Church to help them campaign on the altar in 2015. You will all get your rewards on the day of judgement. |
My parents bought shares for me at birth in Oluwa Glass company. May all those who ran aground the company be struck with thunder in their graves in Jesus name. |
So you too if you see this kind car that looks like an ambulance so, you go follow enter And it's even black ![]() |
As a southerner, I deeply admire this Governor zulum. He is a Charismatic leader. He's also not the religiously biased type as it is with most of his colleagues. He is devoid of tribal sentiments too. If anyone is to be president in the North in the future, I wish it were him. |
Every one now knows Femi is a deranged, short fused individual who cannot keep a wife as much as a party. I'm sure he won't be on the table when strategic decisions are taken. Maybe it's best to have another vocal opposition rather beg at your table for crumbs. They say it's best to go to heaven for the serenity and hell for the company. I guess he chose the later in his case. |
If not for lack of planning, a state government started building an airport terminal and didn't dot their "i" and cross their "t" very well enough to start begging for bailout from the federal government that is overwhelmed with serious debts. Can this ever happen in a civilized country? No wonder he has been hobnobbing Buhari's ego, claiming he is the godsend messiah. It will shock you when reality sets in. And the governor really seemed like a smart fellow some few years back... |
I honestly believe that Tinubu is more influential by all factors. You can't over estimate the power Yoruba people have in Nigerian politics. Look at Fani-Kayode, despite the rotten statements he made about Buhari and APC, he is still very valuable. Atiku went to Dubai for many months after loosing the election, no one thought it wise to visit him. Tinubu is currently in London, but it's a thing to go snap picture with him. Let that sink in. |
